    “What’s it like being emperor?”he had never gotten a question like this before. He took a moment to think.


    “ It is a lot of pressure and work, but I find it is nice being in a position where I can make things better for the country.” Though having never experienced what those in poverty did, he wished to lesson the burdens of his people.

    Theodore listened and smiled as he heard him actually answer his question. He thought about his response and how some things had changed in the village, but not too much. "You are doing better than most, but you're going to need to do more....if you want, I could help you fix things since you know I used to live among the villagers"

    Lucian was a bit ataken by surprise by him wanting to help. As he thought on it, it would be a smart move to accept the help from one who has lived with the people in the lowest status. Lucian was silent a moment before a s smile graced his features.


    “ That would be great. Alright.” Lucian was already planning out times they can meet and discuss kingdom matters as well as other things. Hmm, if he was going to meet him so often it would only make sense to plan a raise in his rank. That way he would have less limits and such a higher position would make sense why he would be helping with political affairs.


    He had no intention of doing this by making him a minister though. “Are you sure you are up for it though? I mean things can get very busy when it comes to the kingdom affairs of it’s people”

    Theodore sat in silence as Lucian thought over his suggestion. He himself started to have his mind wander. He was worried that if he did help him, that he would mess up and ruin things. He was scared. He only snapped out of it when Lucian spoke.


    "To be honest your majesty, I'm terrified to do this. But, I think I can handle it with some guidance on what I should do" he finally said after a few moments of silence

    Lucian rather admired his honesty. His blue eyes looking deep into Theodore's before giving a small nod. "I will be sure to give you some sessions on what you need to know and such." It was interesting to see someone who offered help not seem to have any evil intentions behind their words. Perhaps because Theodore was easy to read, Lucian found himself relaxed around him. Lucian continued to stare at Theodore for a moment, in a slightly long period of silence. Perhaps in deep thought on something. "How is the food?" he decided to stray from the complex topic of the kingdom affairs to something more simple.

    Theo smiled when he heard Lucian's offer to help him. "Thank you your majesty, I really do need the help" he admitted. He flustered bright as he did so and glanced down at his plate trying to eat more. He almost choked when Lucian asked for his question. "Oh, it's wonderful. Nothing like what I had back home, so many amazing flavors" he explained

    "Ah, that is good."Lucian could not help but slightly chuckle at Theodore's reaction. He then walked around to stand directly behind him. His hands rested on the back of his chair, gripping the wood gently. " Once you finish, please allow me to walk you back to your chambers." His voice level dropped a few levels. Lucian couldn't help the urge to try and see what reactions he could get out of Theodore if her tried other approaches. Theodore being so easy to read, he couldn't help himself.


    He removed his hands from the chair and he moved his arms around Theodore as if he were going to hug his neck from behind. Instead though he kept moving till his finger tips traced along Theodores neck to the back. They lingered their a moment before soon being pulled away. Their would be the faint sensation as if his fingers were still there, but that would be do to the necklace now resting around his neck and hanging at his collar. Lucian then walked around Theodore to move in front of him and reached out, grabbing a hold of Theodores wrist. It was the hand where the bracelet was, which he gripped onto and sipped off Theodores wrist.


    He then smiled softly at him before returning to his seat at the other end of the table.

    Theodore glanced up at Lucian as he gripped the back of his chair curious about what was going on in his mind. He noticed his hands around his neck and held back a breath feeling his finger tips on his neck. They tickled him a bit and he let out a small giggle before seeing a necklace dangle down from his neck. He glanced down at it for a moment trying to understand what it was.


    Then he felt the bracelet be removed and looked back up at Lucian with curiosity in his eyes. "What are you doing your majesty?" he asked

    (The necklace can look however you want it to)


    "Just giving you something that will suit you better. Plus, you will need that to make things easier once we start discussing about the people of this kingdom" Lucian told him simply. It seemed Theodore was unaware of the full system, so he felt like holding back the most important information about that necklace for now. (It was an upgrade in position to Consort.) This would defiantly makes things make more sense when the two would meet often, at late times. Though the people may confuse it with something else, Lucian was fine with that.


    The rest of the meal was rather silent. Lucian finishing the last sip of his drink before moving to stand. "Let us take a small walk around the gardens."

    Theodore thought over what Lucian told him about the necklace and was trying to figure out what it meant. He thought about what his tutoring told him and realized that the necklace usually meant a rise in rank, but he couldn't remember what his new title would be. "Your majesty, did you give me a more powerful rank in order for me to help you make things better for your people?" he asked


    He nodded to his request to walk in the garden and followed behind him out into the moonlight

    It was interesting to see Theodore guess correctly. "Yes...that is the meaning of this." Though perhaps maybe, a small bit more. He waited for Theodore to stand before leading the way outside to the garden. " Now...is their anything you are curious about? I am willing to answer a few things" he offered, considering their were many things the emperor had knowledge of.

    Theodore was distracted for a moment by the stars beginning to twinkle outside as they walked. He turned back to him as he began to fiddle with his new necklace since he wasn't sure what to do with his hand. "Um, I have one question. What does this necklace mean exactly?" he asked

    "It just means you are a consort. A higher level above that of all concubines and just bellow the empress position. Don't worry though, it is just to make things easier for you as you guessed before" Lucian explained as his eyes wandered around the garden. Admiring one of the trees with pink pedals instead of leafs. "I...hope you don't mind" Lucian was hoping that Theodore wasn't aware of the fact he could easily make a normal position for him, which wasn't under the harem.

    Theodore stared at him surprised. "Consort?" he asked glancing down at the necklace again. He gulped a little thinking of Rosaline and how she would try to get him when she found out his new position. He looked scared, but tried not to show it. "W-what? No of course I don't mind" he reassured, but his look said otherwise

    Lucian noticed fear flash through Theodore's eyes upon hearing the position. He was unsure what he was afraid of, though as he thought on it he gained a faint idea. "Is...their something that displeases you about the position?" Though he knew that the people in the harem could be rather rough against each other, he wasn't aware just how bad Rosaline was. Their would be some dangers in the position, but being higher then the rest Lucian though Theodore would handle it alright. Perhaps this position wasn't the best idea, but Lucian wasn't going to change his mind on it.
