    River Oynx

    Class clown

River didn't think he'd fall for the bad boy of the school. He could be a bit bad himself, considering he would go an extra length to get people to laugh. Regardless, his relationship with the male was a bit...messy. They honestly preferred to be friends with benefits, although they did everything that an ordinary couple would do. River would be fine with the relationship status, but apparently the other male wasn't. Not that he minded; River was just a happy guy in general. They would do things that probably wasn't legal...but that could be fun, right? River had also been able to try an assortment of drugs. He didn't really like any of them, but weed was okay. They were young and dumb, what could possibly go wrong?

Currently, the blond was waiting outside of his house. The two decided to skip school today. He didn't really know what they would be doing, but Rived figured that was the fun of it. Would they go make out at that stereotypical teen hang out? Would they just go to the males house and smoke weed? Or would they end up vandalizing some sort of property that didn't belong to them? Any of it wasn't new at this point. They'd done just about everything at this shitty little town. Little did River know, they wouldn't be staying in the town much longer.

Plot -- y/c is Rivers boyfriend. The two are just joyriding in a desolate place when y/c runs someone over. The poor guy is obviously dead. The two teens freak out. Rather than tell anyone, they hide the body. It's only a matter of time before it's on the news. The two also didn't hide the evidence well enough; Rivers fingerprints are all on the body. The two are immed wanted, their high school pictures portrayed on television. To make matters worse, the guy they ran over was a well known gang member. The teens find themselves on the run from the cops, and a notorious gang who wants revenge. The only choice they have is to get the hell up out of Dodge. We can add more to the plot later ^^

"Said I'm a mean machine, been drinking gasoline, and baby you can make my motor hum..."

Asher turned up Guns n' Roses until it almost hurt his ears a little, shaking the floor of the Jeep with the bass of it. He thumped his hand against the steering wheel, singing to himself, but not loudly enough for anyone to hear it over the music. He was in a good mood, which didn't happen a lot in the morning, but hell yeah, he and his bud River had plans. To fuck shit up, or something along those lines. He turned it down as he reached the house, not wanting to freak his parents out too much, but he was sure the leather jacket with spikes and patches and the smell of cigarettes had already done too much to put him in a bad light for him to fix it now. What the hell. He was a bad influence, and that was just his thing.

Asher hit the breaks when he saw River in front of his house, and barely waited for the car to stop before hopping out, walking around the car and pulling River into a quick, powerful hug. He grinned as he pulled away, one hand still on River's shoulder. "Hey, so, want a ride to school?" As he said school, he winked, kind of obviously. He had no plans to go anywhere near the school today. "We can find somewhere nice 'n quiet and make out in my car," he muttered, eyes flicking towards the house.

  • Seeing the all too familiar car pull up, the male just walked over to it. Rarely did they ever stay at Rivers house. His parents were far too embarrassing. Opening the passengers door and sliding into the seat, he flashed the other a bright grin. Immediately he was hugged, in which the blond hugged the darker haired male, kissing his cheek. There wasn't a day he'd been with Asher when it was boring. River chuckled softly at his words. "Of course. You know I couldn't pass up a chance to kiss you." He teased him, the grin lingering on his face. The darker haired male always thought of something fun to do. Well, most of the things were illegal, which was why it was fun. River, although being the class clown, wouldn't dare to do half of the things that Asher did. But he was dragged into it often, unable to say no. What could he say? He had quite the soft spot for Asher. Although he didn't want an official relationship, River would be more than happy to call him his boyfriend.

He leaned back into the seat, putting his seatbelt on. He wouldn't be caught dead without wearing it; especially in Asher's car. The man was notorious for driving like a lunatic at times, for the mere shits and giggles. River didn't mind, but the nagging thought of the car going out of control and crashing was always in the back of his mind.

  • Asher stepped around and slid back into the driver's seat, flashing a shit-eating grin to River. He knew his dad would be pissed once he realized Asher had taken the car, but whatever. He'd deal with that shit later. Probably by getting into another screaming-at-the-top-of-his-lungs argument. He nodded his head to the beat until River had gotten in, then shifted the car into drive, slamming his foot down on the pedal. He loved turning his music way up and going over the speed limit through this nice little suburban neighborhood. It gave him a smile on his face to think of the disapproving look of white moms with a "can I speak to the manager" haircut and a privileged-ass worldview. He turned out of the neighborhood and down towards the road that went into the woods.

He glanced over to River. "So, your parents tell ya to stop hanging out with me yet?" He loved how this road swerved a little bit recklessly, a little bit scarily. Gave him a rush. He focused back on the road, one hand on the steering wheel and the other reaching for River's leg. He liked River, to the point where it made him a little surprised, but he did his best not to show it. He wasn't... ready. He wasn't ready for someone to know what he looked like physically under his clothes and to know what he looked like... well, emotionally under his clothes. So he just didn't talk about what the hell he was feeling. He barely understood it himself, anyway. "I'm a bad influence, y'know."

  • River focused his blue hues on the road, thinking to himself. He raised a brow at the others words, looking over at him. "Of course they have. But that isn't going to stop me." He said simply. Rivers parents definitely didn't like Asher. They thought he was nothing but a lazy dropout. He'd gotten into constant quarrels with his parents; he'd always defend the male.

He couldn't help but roll his eyes, a smile easing across his face. "Oh, Jesus. If you were that bad I wouldn't be hanging around you." He teased him with a chuckle. Although River didn't really see Asher as a bad influence, he did know some of the things he did wasn't exactly healthy. But River would put up with it. He'd grown quite fond of Asher. He probably loved the guy; regardless of what he looked like.

  • Asher laughed, a sound that was sort of like a cackle. He hummed a little bit along with the music, enjoying this, taking in the moment. It was still kinda early, because he had went to bed way early last night, and he had to keep up the illusion that he was heading to school. The light glinted on the pine trees and the icy spots in a golden way, making everything look pretty. It was damn poetic. He went a little faster, a little more dangerous, feeling his heart beating. He looked towards River. "Thanks for the good word. I'll be sure t' tell it to the cops when I'm jailed at age 18 for... I dunno, punching a cop in the dick." He laughed again, a little more clumsy on the turn, but there weren't any other cars on the road so it was whatever.

"Maybe the reason you hang around me is for somethin' else," he said suddenly, his hand on River's leg going a little bit higher. He kept his eyes mostly on the road, but he kept glancing over to River to see his reaction, biting his lower lip. He was gonna be honest, he'd been thinking about hanging out with River all day yesterday, 'cause he hadn't gotten the chance to recently. He had been impatient to be next to him again, kind of touch-starved, kind of lonely. He was having trouble resisting the urge to lean against him, touch skin-to-skin, or even just cuddle. He had to drive, but he wasn't doing a great job of focusing. He didn't notice the person a few hundred feet ahead starting to cross the street.

  • He smiled softly. River always did love to hear the other laugh. It was like music to his ears. The blond rolled his eyes at the others words, grinning. "That wouldn't be surprising. Then I'd have to bail you out of jail." He chuckled. The blond grew a bit wary as Asher grew a bit reckless while driving. "Babe..." He warned him softly, shifting a bit nervously. Normally he wouldn't have a problem with how Asher drove, but this was probably faster than the other ever went before.

He snorted softly, shuddering at the touch. "Could be part of it." He teased him, looking over at him. "Another reason could just be that you're just too damn cute." He chuckled with a smile. River didn't mind the touch at all; he liked affection. Kissing and cuddling with the other was pretty great under his eyes. He was busy just admiring the others features, because the next thing River saw when he turned around was a person. It was only a quick glance before the car jolted, slamming into the guy. "What the-" River could barely speak, too shocked by what had just happened. Oh, they were so fucked.

  • Asher felt his face flush a little when he complimented him, smiling to himself in a somewhat goofy way. He felt like he was being kind of cheesy, and he usually tried not to be too cheesy, but he kinda wanted a kiss. So he took just a second to turn to River, hands still on the wheel, to lean in, when he saw, out of the corner of his eye, a man crossing the street. Maybe if he hadn't been going so fast, if the roads hadn't been icy from the cold weather, if he hadn't looked away for a second, it wouldn't have happened. But when he slammed his foot on the brakes, yelling "oh SHIT!", the car didn't stop in time, and there was a loud thud and suddenly blood on the front of the jeep and the tires weren't getting good traction on the road and for a split second Asher yelled and put his arm over River's chest because he thought they were going to skid out too, hit a tree. But they stopped, a few feet away.

Asher gripped the steering wheel, and for some reason the only thing he could think was that his dad was going to kill him if the car was dented. He glanced over towards River silently, then, making sure the car was on the side of the road, jumped out the door and ran over to where the man they had hit was. He saw there seemed to be... some blood. Guy was bleeding from the head. He was also not moving. He slowed down as he got closer. Bent down. Took the man's wrist. No pulse. He sharply took in a breath, dropping the hand like it was too hot, and straightening up. "Jesus Christ," he muttered, feeling sick. "What the fuck."

  • River squeezed his eyes shut as soon as the body slammed into the car. He was the type of person to not make a sound when he was scared. He could hear the squealing of the tires as they skidded across the ice slicked road. But as fast as itd happen, it was soon over with, leaving the place eerily quiet. The blond slowly opened his eyes, his face ashen with fear. "Oh my god." He whispered, looking at the blood on the windshield. He was praying that the guy hadn't died. River didn't think he could live with himself if that was the case.

The blond slowly got out of the car, walking over towards Asher. He bent down, doing the same thing the other had just done. He recoiled quickly, stumbling up. "What are we going to do? W-we'll go to prison for sure if we call the cops...but...I can't..." His hands curled into his hair, and he walked away from the body, swallowing thickly. "We just killed someone...I think I'm going to be sick." He whispered, shaking slightly. He knew that their lives would be changed forever now. They had only two choices; hide the body or call the police. He wanted to call the police, but could he really risk life in prison, away from Asher? Hiding the body just seemed cruel...he didn't know if he had the conscious to just do that.

  • You're such a fucking idiot. You're such a fucking idiot for letting this happen. How the hell could you let this happen? You're so goddamn stupid. Holy shit. Holy shit, what was he going to do? Asher berated himself in his head, staring at the dead body, the slowly growing pool of blood. He glanced up at River, not obviously shaken. He had a weird emotional reaction to shit like this. Before the panic was just emptiness. Just some vague, emotional blank. He knew the flipping the fuck out would come in a few days, maybe. But for now even thinking practically was fucking him up. He wasn't sure if River would go to prison. Asher himself might not even go to prison. It was an accident. But holy hell, if this guy's family decided to press charges... his family couldn't afford it. And his dad... Asher swallowed heavily.

Asher stepped up to the body. Glanced around. "We could just go." He looked back at the car. No one was around. As long as they got the blood off the bumper, as long as no one was around (no one was around), as long as there weren't any cameras, they could just drive off. "We need to... we need to clean off the car, somehow. Do you think it was dented?" It was a stupid thing to worry about, but you tended to worry about stupid things when the biggest thing was way too big to think about. He looked up and down the road again. No one. "We have to get outta here before someone else drives down here."

  • River turned to look at the male slowly, eyebrows furrowing slightly. "I don't know." He replied simply. River didn't hesitate to just slip his shirt off, going over to the car and just started to wipe down the car, doing his best to get the blood off. He was oddly quiet, but that was probably because he was freaking out. He felt so bad. River knew it was just an accident...but still. A guy just lost his life because of them. After getting most of the blood off, he tossed his shirt on the ground, not really thinking about it. "Yeah...lets just go." He mumbled, glancing at the other before just getting into the car. The hood was only just slightly dented, which was surprising to him. The male buried his face into his hands, shaking his head.

He didn't know how Asher could be so calm right now. He wanted to tell at him, take his anger and fear out on someone. River couldn't bring himself to yell at the male, though. He just wanted to leave, to forget this even happened. Which would be basically impossible. River didn't think he'd ever stop thinking about what just happened.

  • Asher was absolutely dissociating. He figured it out when he realized he'd been staring at the dead body with his lips slightly parted for as long as River was wiping the blood from the car, and when he realized he felt separate, separate from whatever person was staring at this dead body right now. It wasn't a great situation, because he had to drive again, and if he felt like he was about 3 feet to the left of his actual body it was kind of hard to pay attention to driving. He noticed River had taken off his shirt. Asher unzipped his leather jacket and handed it over to River, because he looked cold and Asher didn't want him to freeze to goddamn death. He got into the car, glanced back. No one coming.

He put his hands on the steering wheel but found he couldn't find the willpower to put his foot on the gas pedal. He was holding the wheel so hard his knuckles went white, and he realized his teeth were clenched together only when they started hurting. Then, he heard the sound of a motor running around the corner, and he realized he had to get going, and started driving. He didn't go as fast, and he didn't turn the music back on, unable to get his hands unglued from the steering wheel. He was going to keep going to the isolated place, he decided. They were going to sit there and he would smoke a cigarette and pretend that never happened. He heard a car drive past them. He tensed, freezing to the steering wheel, barely able to move, as it drove past them. He kept going for a couple hundred feet, then pulled over, and left the car as quickly as he could to stand by the side of the road and dry heave a little against a tree. He wasn't sure if he could drive. "I'm not sure if I can drive."

  • River didn't say a word as Asher drove. He just stayed huddled in the others jacket, shivering. Not because he was cold, but because of his nerves. He forced himself not to cry, not wanting to look like a complete baby. He wanted to talk about what they were going to do next, what they would do once the body was on the news. He just couldn't bring himself to speak. He was too afraid of the future. Even if they never got caught...he didn't know how he would live with this. Being stuck in paranoia and guilt for the rest of his life didn't sound pleasant at all. Then again, they did just kill a guy. It wasn't going to be pleasant.

River watched as Asher ran out of the car. He didn't do anything for a few seconds before he numbly got out, figuring he should go comfort him. He knew it was probably fucking the male up, especially since he'd been the one driving. River walked over, gently pulling the male into a hug. He brought a hand up to the back of his head, not speaking for a few moments. "I'll drive. Just tell me where I'm going." He murmured softly, a frown playing across his face. He was freaking out, but couldn't bear seeing Asher close to being sick.

  • Asher didn't vomit, probably 'cause he hadn't eaten anything for breakfast, but he felt like he might. If he thought about it too hard he might. So he let himself drift, let himself ignore the feelings and all that so he could actually function. Just for a little. He took in a breath, released it. Straightened up. He didn't have time to flip the fuck out. He wasn't going to. Wasn't going to let it happen. He narrowed his eyes, and pulled away from River, shaking his had. "Y'know what? Fuck it. I'm fine." He couldn't let himself drown, because if he did he wouldn't be able to take the thought. He got back in the car, just as quickly as he got out.

He decided he couldn't take silence, so he put the music back on. He waited for River to get back in the car. He was feeling kind of cold, having given up his jacket, but he elected to ignore it. He didn't know where they would go, but probably somewhere far off for the day, and then they'd get back and pretend that nothing had happened. It would be fine. It would be whatever. He was terrified about what would happen if they were caught. Generally, hitting and running was more risky than hitting and staying there, but if they ran, there was the possibility they could go free with no consequences.

ooc: wanna timeskip to the next day soon? we could make it like people saw river on tv and some people at school are kids of people in the gang/in the gang and try to attack him?

  • Their day together hadn't been enjoyable for obvious reasons. River hardly spoke much, not really knowing what to say anymore. He didn't bother voicing his concerns about being caught, because he was sure Asher was feeling the same way. River went home in a somber mood, guilt and fear swirling around in his head. It was all fun and games until someone actually got hurt. There wasn't much he could do to comfort Asher, either. He couldn't say that they would be okay, as he didn't know that for sure. If anything, they were more likely to be fucked.

River actually went to school the next day. His morning routine didn't change, although he seemed less smiley and more melancholy. After picking at his breakfast, the male grabbed his bookbag and headed to school. Normally, he would ask Asher to give him a ride, but he decided to walk for today. It took about fifteen minutes. The male wasn't sure if he would see Asher or not today. He didn't know what the other was thinking about half the time, anyways. Regardless, he slowly made his way to his locker, keeping his eyes lowered to his shoes. It was probably just him being paranoid, but he felt as if everyone was staring at him. The blond shakily opened his locker, tossing some books into it. Hopefully today would be okay.

  • Asher figured he'd actually go to school today. But he didn't want to get up. His left arm, always the left one, ached. He had woken up in the night when he'd rolled over on it. He had known his dad would be pissed about the dent. Whatever. He headed downstairs, noting it was too late to eat breakfast and he wasn't hungry anyway, when he heard a familiar name coming from the TV. His dad always watched the news in the morning, which was why Asher avoided the living room, but he peeked in when he heard the name. River Onyx was the prime suspect in a deadly hit-and-run accident. Fingerprints on the body. He had left fingerprints on the body. Asher's name wasn't even there, the cold had prompted him to wear the old leather motorcycle gloves he inherited from one of his cousins. He felt his chest tighten. Glanced at his dad. Oh, what the hell. He sprinted outside, got into the car that had gotten his ass beat last night, and pulled out of the driveway.

At River's house, he already noticed that it seemed quiet. He looked in the window, saw one of River's parents. When he rang the doorbell and asked, he was told River had already walked to school. Shit. With a rare thank you, he dashed back to the car. He was glad the leather jacket kept his left arm hidden, because River's parents seemed like the type to get all worried about him or whatever. He noticed that whoever he saw in the window didn't have the news on. They would have to find out later. He drove, a little too quickly again, down to the school, determined to warn River about what Asher had discovered.
