Welcome to Mallumville, Vermont
Have Fun in the Forest!
The old, almost rusty sign greeted you as you drove into the woods of Vermont. You were moving to the little, forgettable town of Mallumville to work for their Radio Station. You had your reasons for moving, whether it was just for the wonderful radio program or for more... personal reasons, but whatever it was drove you all the way to the tiny secluded town that hid within the forest.
Of course, if Mallumville was just a little, unextraordinary village, we wouldn’t be talking about it, would we?
No, something darker hides beneath Mallumville. Magic is hidden deep in the woods, some of it good, some of it… darker. And of course, working for the radio news means investigating that darkness. Get ready for the job of a lifetime.
Welcome to the Radio Station.
Basically this is going to take place in a magical town where you, as one of the members of the radio station, are going to deal with the news and all that is going on with the town. (Yes, this was heavily inspired by Welcome to Nightvale.)

Station Manager
Kass is a no nonsense woman who is completely dedicated to the station and those who run it. She loves the work and cares deeply for each and every worker. At work, especially with new workers, she is icy and cold, never speaking about anything other than the job. However, those who have been in the station for a long time know that she’s a true softie underneath her boss facade.
Kass was born in Mallumville, and she always loved the radio station, listening to it all day. Her entire family was made up of Djinn, and they taught her very early on that being vulnerable could lead to the destruction of her free will. She took that to heart. She started interning at the Radio Station when she was 15, and by 20 she was running the place.
Her “lamp” is a heart shaped locket that is always around her neck, and if it goes into somebody else’s hands, they will have complete control over her magic and can ask her to do anything.

News Department
Almus is a calm young man who is very rarely shaken. He loves adventure and finds all of nature extremely soothing and lovable. He is a calming force, often used as the therapist in the office, and is usually very sociable and popular. However, as a true free spirit, he doesn't like being held down. This can strain some relationships.
Almus was born deep in the forest to a large dryad family. They were the spirits of the trees, as his mother told him. In high school he was never interested in any career, but when a girl named Kass from the grade below his who had just gotten a job at the radio station asked him to join their news department, he gladly accepted. He married his high school sweetheart just after graduation, but after a few years the two began to have regrets and they decided to separate.

Newcomer
Beatrice is a very perky and happy-go-lucky girl, who's optimism can match that of a Disney princess. She can be naive, and almost never expects anything to go wrong or unexpectedly. She tends to plan too much, and when things don't go the way she's prepared for them to, she ceases to function.
Beatrice grew up in a rich family in Washington, with everything she wanted, and from her childhood she had one goal - make it as an entertainer. She dabbled in school plays and the like in highschool, but nothing truly satisfied her until she volunteered to run the school's announcements on the intercom. Suddenly she knew she wanted to go into radio. Her theater director, a very strange man who had always seemed out of place at the school, recommended going to Mallumville to get started in radio, and after a year of saving up after graduation she moved to the little town.
