  • Halfmask looked at her gently, Battle lives in our blood. he smiled before turning and bounding away back towards camp after bumping his head against Fireblaze's shoulder. He knew she would be alright. If she died in this battle, he would go to the ends of the world to avenge her. Their relationship was an intimately savage thing, born of battle and desire for good.

Finnloch trotted in, hustling to the medicine den and setting Cypresskit down gently.

Ramkit nuzzled Whitekit back, breathing hard as he held onto his brother, I-It's okay, Whitekit. We're okay. I'm sorry I couldn't reach you faster. he was crying too, scared by the ordeal and nearly losing Whitekit. As he'd pulled Whitekit up, it had felt as if somecat was helping push his brother up, and he'd seen a wavering outline of a big tom cat then it was no more.

    (Their grandfather)

  • Fireblaze smiled bumping her head against Halfmask shoulder,”Your right it does.” She then headed back to the boulder knowing that Halfmask would be alright. But she vowed to herself that if he died she would kill whoever killed him and try to help Murkyclan the best she could for him.

  • Hauntedfire flicked her tail over his nose. "I'm fine, mousebrain," she mewed affectionately. "Quit worrying. The only thing wrong with my face is that it's uglier now." She watched Halfmask and Fireblaze say goodbye to one another. They seemed really close. Hauntedfire almost envied them for it. For a long time, she'd suppressed her feelings for Halfmask. Hiding her feelings was what she was good at. After the ginger she-cat left, she glanced at Halfmask again, feeling suddenly awkward. "Sorry for intruding again," she muttered, looking at her paws.

  • Cottonpaw looked down at Dunepaw, her eyes gleaming. She had done it. After catching her breath, she stood up slowly. She took a minute to get her balance before leaping to the next branch. She landed awkwardly, causing her bad leg to slide. However, she caught herself and managed to steady herself. She looked back down at Dunepaw. "Are you coming up?" she asked him, flicking her tail in invention.

  • Dunepaw shrugged. "Sure, why not?" he mewed, leaping onto the tree trunk. His sharp claws dug into the thick bark and he slowly shuffled his way upward. Then he stood next to her. "Ta-da!"

  • (Ugh, so sorry for my absence!)

Cypresskit titled his head, "he sounds like a nice guy. I wish I got to meet him." To himself he wondered who in the world would ever be an enemy against Finnloch or her family. She was so nice and her family seemed to be as well. But no sooner did he think those words as their time together ran out. He found himself dangling above the ground in the medicine cat's jaws. As he touched the ground he peered up at Finnloch, "thank you for bringing me to the river." He would have to ask her more about her family later. Mothstar was much more important. He would look forward to seeing him again.

  • Halfmask moved alongside Haunredfire with an easy stride, humming as they loped along.

Finnloch smiled, Of course. I'd love to do it again, Cypresskit. Hmm. I have an idea I want you to think over. she murmured.

(She's going to ask how he feels about becoming her apprentice for as long as he lives? So its not always so boring for him? So he has a path he can follow with some knowledge)

  • Cottonpaw flicked his ear gently with her tail. "Show off!" she teased him with a purr. She then jumped to the next branch, landing perfectly this time. She was learning how to manage with her bad leg. "What's the highest you've ever climbed?" she asked Dunepaw, looking down at him. Her eyes were gleaming with excitement. She was finally enjoying herself for once.

  • Hauntedfire yawned, suddenly bored. "I came out here with Cottonpaw and Dunepaw. I'm not sure where they went. I told them to go hunting."

Dunepaw grinned. Then he looked up. "Uhh, maybe to the top of an oak? I don't remember actually." He chuckled a bit.

  • Halfmask hummed in thought, We need to find them then. They probably didn't hear Redfang's call. he responded, tail flipping. His thoughts ranged back to Fireblaze and the way they were relaxed as friends.

  • Cottonpaw looked up, her tail flicking in thought. "I don't think I should try to go that high. I still have to figure out how to get down from here," she thought aloud. She then looked back down at Dunepaw. "Can you see anything?" she asked him

  • Hauntedfire nodded. "Yeah, they've probably gotten themselves into trouble by now," she joked dryly.

Dunepaw grabbed the tree trunk again. "You lower yourself really slowly, like this." He slowly began to creep down the tree tail-first, his claws digging into the bark once more. Once he was safely on the ground, he looked up at her. "Try it, and be careful!"

  • Halfmask laughed, soon hearing the two talking about something. He settled to patiently watch them climb the tree, eyes glimmering in amusement.

  • Fear froze Cottonpaw for a brief moment. Then she became determined once more. Copying the way Dunepaw had done it, she slowly lowered herself. She found difficult in using her bad back leg, and was thus forced to rely more on her front legs. Moving a paw step at a time, she lowered herself down backwards. Once she was low enough, she jumped lightly to the ground. She stood and looked at Dunepaw, her eyes shining with her pride. "I can't believe I just did that!"

  • Violetpetal

Violetpetal was stretched out, bathing in the sunlight out side of the nursery. Watching her kits with her deep blue eyes. The queen had fallen sick recently and had not been active around camp. Thankfully she had recovered along her her son and daughter, Spiritkit and Sweetkit. She got to her paws, seeing Finn hurry in with Cypresskit in her jaws. She followed them into the nursery. "Is everything alright?" she asked softly.

    Darkheart

Darkheart sat in the middle of camp, watching as his littermate hurried past him and into the medicine den. He had wanted a family, sure. Sadly, his mate, Shadowtail had been MIA for awhile now, it saddened him, but he had pushed through it. At least he had young, healthy kin.

  • Finnloch looked up at Violetpetal, Ah. Its alright. Its time for Mothstar's burial. Redfang called for us all. she murmured gently, sending a sorrowful glance to the corpse of her deceased mate.

  • Hauntedfire padded alongside Halfmask, breaking into a trot as the apprentices came into view. She reached the base of the tree as Cottonpaw hopped down. Pride glowed in her single yellow eye. "Great job!" she mewed. Dunepaw ran to Cottonpaw's side, purring and rubbing against her side.
