  • Nothing could really prepare her for this. Her home wasn't supposed to crash, was it? She'd been sent off in some escape pod before it had collided with anything - she knew that much. Her parents had done the same, right? They were smart. They had to have done it! So, with that mentality, the child had set off into this new planet, in hopes of finding them. That didn't mean she couldn't get distracted along the way, of course.

Somehow, the child had strayed into the forest in the Shadow Veil, completely in awe of the nature around her. What was all of this? She'd never seen plants before! What were they called again? Trees. A wide grin spread across the fox's face, as she surveyed all of the plants around her. Just then, rustling sounded in the bushes. Oh, that meant there was more life here. Ears perking up, Galaxydust watched the bush, waiting for whatever there was to come out.

Just then, a squirrel had scampered out, eyeing the fox before jumping on a tree. It seemed to continue to watch her, making sure she didn't come any closer. "Oh, hello!" she called out to the small, bushy-tailed creature. It stirred at the sound of her voice, rushing up the tree and into the branches. "Wait- hey, come back!" she tried convincing the creature to come back, not realizing that she was alerting anyone else nearby that she had invaded their territory.

  • WHY IS MY REFLECTION SOMEONE I DON'T KNOW? —

A fox, huh? She had a strange smell and she seemed pretty dumb too, so she probably wasn't dangerous. Not dumb in an insulting way, but dumb solely because she was invading a group's territory without a care in the world. Still... she had a whimsical air about her, like a child, that was certain.

Padding towards the fox, not caring to announce his presence, the Nightwatcher asked simply, "Name and business with Shadow Veil?" The good old question. He didn't bother acting annoyed or hostile since Galaxydust wasn't being hostile.

  • at least richie had been smarter than galaxydust when it came to crossing the border. well, half of his body had been over the border, but that didn't matter. he had been fallen, so that didn't matter. unlike sutekh, he saw her as just downright stupid. who the fuck just tried talking to some squirrel? they couldn't even talk. lashing his curly tail as he padded up to the fox and his clanmate, he wrinkled his nose in annoyance. "squirrels don't talk, dumbass. even i know that." he huffed, rolling his magnified optics.

  • YOU SCREAM but there's nobody to hear ! —

What a curious creature. Ozone, hearing the sounds of talking nearby, drew closer to the discussion, spotting a majestic yet unearthly colored fox. His paws twitched in excitement at the possible prospect of a new member; and she seemed to be extremely vibrant and invigorated! The wolfdog padded up to the growing group, a broad smile crossing his muzzle as he sat down, patiently waiting for a response.

*:・゚✦ Hmm, a child on their territory chasing a squirrel. Nothing new. Soundcheck had done the same when he was just a pup. The wolf was next to arrive on the scene, and he eyed Galaxydust wordlessly.

  • Oh, it was her lucky day! There was other people, asides from that little bushy-tailed creature. Her ears perked up and she grinned at Sutekh as he approached. Wait, Shadow Veil? What was that? And before she could answer, Richie had spoken up. So that thing was a squirrel? She felt embarrassed over the fact that she didn't even know it could speak, but then again, she just arrived on the planet. Dumbass was also a completely new word to her. What did it even mean? She glanced over at Ozone and Soundcheck as they had shown up, despite them being silent.

"Oh? They don't talk?" she sounded confused by that fact. Every animal she met had talked, but really, she'd only ever known her parents, so she just assumed everyone else did. "Hi - hello, my name is Galaxydust. Um, who are you? What's the Shadow Veil?" She paused for a second, realizing she was asking a lot of questions. That was how she'd figure stuff out, though, and it was how she learned. "What's a dumbass?" she added. Seriously, what did that word even mean?

  • SHAME ON ME, YOU FOOLED ME TWICE —

"this whole lot would be a buncha' dumbasses- but i ain't one", the tabby said with a grin, one he hadn't worn in quite sometime. steve took a seat besides street fighter, listening to what the new creature had to say. it seemed to him that she was quite lost, and not very bright either- which was never a good combination. "the shadow veil is where all these dumbasses live, along with myself", he added shortly after, pleased with his ongoing joke.

*:・゚✦ He would blink, clear his throat, and speak up. "And this is where we live." His gaze darted from side to side. "If you would like, you may join us." It was funny how Soundcheck was starting to say more words. He sometimes caught himself doing it, and other times it went unnoticed.

  • YOU’RE SOMETHING OUT OF A DREAM — baobab — the shadow veil — tags

Chatter would bring the serval to the area where her clanmates we're confronting an odd fox. Baobab wouldn't call her dumb... Just different. Although she did question what the female had said. Well whatever. She would smile a little at Steve's comment, knowing he was joking. "The Shadow Veil is the name of our group. Our home." She would add polity, a light smile on her face, friendly hazel eyes greeting the stranger. She would glance at everyone else before returning her gaze to the confused female. "Come, loosen up everybody, she doesn't seem hostile." She would say, honestly thinking that the fox was too innocent to be hostile. Though she supposed the female was still trespassing, and maybe she was a good actor, but, although she was sure the fox might be a good actor, she thought the fox wasn't trying to manipulate them or anything. "Yeah, you can join us!"

  • YOU SCREAM but there's nobody to hear ! —

Ozone rolled his eyes, but smiled nonetheless. "Hey, I'm not entirely a dumbass," the wolfdog laughed. He was getting used to more laid back speech. "Nice to meet you, Galaxydust! I'm Ozone Larzen."[/color]. He chirped, having no need to explain what Shadow Veil meant as the others had already done so.

  • weirdly enough, the small male himself had been chasing a squirrel only a few moments before. he knew that he needed to get whole 'hunting' thing right- he could remember his father teaching him the most basic techniques, but he still didn't quite get the hang of it. it left him with a bump on his head and an even more grumpy expression on his face, nose wrinkled as his fins drooped. why couldn't he simply catch a stupid squirrel? the small violet kitten was about to scream his frustrations, when he had heard what seemed to be a group of people.

    huh.

the kitten scuttled forth, eyes wide as he snuck under soundcheck 's legs, most likely getting his blanket caught in the other's paws as he stared at what seemed to be a fox. well, at least it was a child? not that he was happy or anything. he only wanted him and guitar to be the only children! that made them both special! his fins puffed, gills flaring as he glared at the newcomer. "don't mess w-with guitarstrings, you newcomer! or i'll krill ya!"

  • richie himself was a child like guitarstrings and eridan, and now galaxydust, but he didn’t care if he was special or not. smirking at steve’s comment, he rolled his eyes softly, though annoyed. "i’m not the dumbass here! i believe I’m smarter than y’all. a dumbass is a really stupid person." he said with his slightly annoying voice. glancing at eridan, his nose scrunched up in distaste. ”chill, dude. you’re going a little bit overboard.”

*:・゚✦ He had his eyes trained on Galaxydust, but a sensation from his legs made him glance down. He found Eridian, with his blanket, hiding behind him. "I'm sure she won't. She's just curious." he rumbled, using every muscle he had in his body not to smile. He imagined Eridian and Galaxydust would get along fine, actually. At least, in his opinion.
