    jukeboxhero was truly bored out of his mind. the bernese mountain dog sat in camp, looking off into the distance with a glum expression. many of his new clanmates were busy with their responsibilities, and he longed to be included. juke loved to be busy, it stimulated his mind and kept him entertained. being bored was almost painful to the pup.


    jukeboxhero was torn from his thoughts when his attention caught on a bright monarch butterfly. his tail began to wag and the pup stood up and began to follow after the winged creature. the monarch had landed, almost as if it was mocking the mountain dog’s crippled speed.


    almost caught up to the iridescent insect, his persuits were abruptly interrupted by a sand covered rock that caught his good back leg. juke tripped comically into the sand, and the startled butterfly flew away leaving him on the ground giggling on the ground.

    though percy and juke were the same age (percy probably wouldn't be if he wasn't in the boy's body), juke was much more childish than the other. he found himself walking on the beach to get some peace and quiet, only to stop when he almost stepped on the child. jerking his paw back quickly, the mute lion furrowed his brows together, glaring at the pup. "hey, watch where you fall next time," he snorted, using his newly-found telepathy to speak with jukeboxhero.

    jukeboxhero’s velvety ears pricked at the sudden voice from within his head. looking for a source to the sound, the bernese mountain dog turned to see percy standing beside him. the lion wore a annoyed expression, as if he was the one who wanted him to move. juke failed to realize the connection between the two and said, “oh hey there percy, did you hear someone to?”
