For the first time in a while, Barb wasn't shocked by how quickly this week had gone by. Maybe that was because it had felt so drawn out, as if the whole week had gone by in slow motion, which was not good. Though, near the end of it, they had gotten some new members, thank god. Hopefully, their members would start climbing again, like they had been before. For the time being, all she could do was keep doing what she had been, and absolutely not allow herself to dwell on her personal life, because it all spiraled out of control after that. She had control, for now, and she was holding onto that as tightly as she could.
The regal femme strode toward her usual meeting place, her gait the same as always, face set into a neutral expression. She was fine. The clan was going to be. All was well. She repeated the words over and over in her mind as she reached her seat, sweeping down into sitting position as she surveyed the camp before her, filled with Ruiners as they went about their usual daily duties. "Sanguine Ruins," she began, tone even as always, "c'mere for a meeting." Though the call was no where near formal, she expected their presences anyway.
"First off, Bucky's back. Dragged himself all the way home and even grabbed a Sunclanner while he was at it, so good job, Buck. We're glad to have you back, I guess." She wouldn't have given a shit if it hadn't been for his usefulness around the clan and the nature of his relationship with her twin brother. She paused, and went on, "Also, we've been invited to Jaelynn's funeral in the Empire, and a 'celebration of growth', or something, in Shadow Veil." Both useful allies, though she thought she'd prefer to go to the celebration of growth. It sounded less gloomy, but it'd look bad, as a leader, not to show up to an allied queen's funeral, wouldn't it? "We're having a capture contest, too, which you guys should all check out." Hopefully, it wouldn't flop. Falling silent for now, Barbara allowed her announcements to soak in - and anyone to add onto her words, if they had anything to say - before she would continue on with the rest.
