  • on the border of hawkclan will sit an odd little ghastly ball of light, a wisp, sparkling in hues of reds and protecting a note from the nefarious weather until someone approaches. the spectre will take its leave after giving the piece of parchment up, which will say the following in a clumsy scrawl;

    "ThE SaNCTUARy COrdIALLy INvITES YOU To CoMPETE IN ThE winTER OLYMPIC GAMES. tHERE WIlL BE FoOD aND ReWARDS, oBVIOUSLy. hoWEVER, pLEASE BE MINDFUL OF OUR aLLIEs oR RISK REMOVAl FrOM ThE GAMES, tHANkS."

    The ball of light was not something that could be easily missed. Poe wandered over to see what it was, brown eyes narrowed. It looked like a will-o-wisp like he'd read about in the fairytales they had here. Interesting. It seemed to be protecting something from the snow that fell lightly around them, and as Poe approached, it disappeared, leaving the note to fall before him. He picked it up to read it, seeing it was from the Sanctuary. Winter Olympics? That certainly sounded fun.

    "Hey HawkClan! The Sanctuary has invited us to a Winter Olympic Games! It might be fun to bring some gold home, and it sounds like a heck ton of fun too," The canine woofed to anyone nearby.

  • Aron approached with metaphorical brows raised, eyeing the vanishing ball of light. Fuck was that? A fairy? He didn't know why the Sanctuary was involved with those little shits, but he supposed if they'd domesticated them as pets or carrier ravens or whatever, that was fine by him. "Neat," the leopard mused as he came up beside Poe, staring at the indecipherable note. God, it was hard enough to read English on its own, couldn't these guys at least try to make their writing legible? Not that he needed to read it anymore, after the monarch had read it aloud, but the sentiment still stood. He didn't know what he'd do at a Winter Olympics, but that actually sounded rather fun, especially with the promise of food.

  • Allies upon allies. Bell hadn't heard of the Sanctuary lately either, but unlike the Frontier the name definitely rang a bell (pun unintended). His mind gifted him with a brief flash of a village, but it was gone as soon as he could comprehend it and he trotted begrudgingly forth to get a look at the note. He couldn't read but that wouldn't stop him from pretending, and he stared blankly at the note for a bit before looking up. "Yes, uh, game n' stuff," he confirmed as if he had actually read it successfully, backing up slightly. He wasn't sure if he'd attend, gold and food was basically worthless to the male, but he might go if some of the others were attending.
