  • Val was definitely familiar with the game of hide and seek. He remembered playing with Sekai in their old cave, hiding objects that the other would then have to find. River wasn't usually too excited to play his games - only watch - but it wasn't hard to play with her, too, by waiting until she left, then hiding somewhere. Perhaps stressing his bird out like that wasn't very nice, but it wasn't like he was in any actual danger. And, she always managed to find him and deliever a firm scolding comprised of chirps and squawks.

Now, Sam had tasked him with playing the game. But, where would they play? There weren't any leaves on the trees and bushes to hide within and the white, snow covered ground would probably make the game a little too easy. In order to deal with these things as best he could, he decided they would play in camp. The houses and other structures provided nice hiding spots, or one could simply blend in with the crowds. River was perched on the roof of a nearby hut, her stern gaze telling that she wasn't going to be tricked into the game this time. That just meant Val would have to find others to play with. "Play hide an' seek wit' me?" he called out to those going about camp.

  • BABY PINK AND VERY EXPENSIVE —

hope had been settled on her stomach in camp and considering the best way to suggest a fun event to shininglight when she heard the call from the child. she lifted her head at the sound of his voice, eyes scanning her surroundings until they landed on val. she would consider for a moment before standing to approach him. it had been a slow day; what better way to spice it up than with a game? "i'll play," she spoke up, offering him a friendly smile. she seemed more confident in her movements now. after a bit more time in the riverside she was beginning to fall into the routine of things, and was thus more relaxed and at home. it was nice.

  • The familiar form of the black eldritch dragon shifted where he lay, eyes blinking open as he perked up and stretched with a wide yawn of many many teeth - he flexed his claws and moved to join the two with a little raised brow "Hm, well I'd be pretty easy to find Val, but i'll join the two of you" he offered with a slight smile before his gaze turned to the side and addressed Hope "Ah, I don't think we've met? that Or i really do have a terrible memory" that deathly voice chuckled before continuing "Luciferus Grimm-Solo, a pleasure"

  • Shining could recall playing hide-and-seek a couple of times during his kitten days. The childish joy of such a game had long been missing. But he could always remember, and perhaps feel joy that way. And besides, younger members were always popping up. They could feel genuine excitement in their little games, and the older tom could help them out.

"Count me in, Val," Shine would say, grateful for the opportunity to enjoy a small break, a change in pace from his usual work. There were plenty of hiding spots in the village for sure, although too many if one counted the interior of buildings. Unfortunate that Luciferus would be quite easy to find- although the imagined thoughts of the Alluvial attempting to hide were quite humorous.

  • Three volunteers! That'd probably be enough to start, and anyone could join while the game progressed. First, there was Hope, whom Valemon didn't know well but who seemed very nice. As far as Luciferus' comment, the cub smiled. The dragon probably would be an easy find, which only made Val appreciate his friend was playing even more. Lastly, Shine. The leader was always coming up with fun games and activities, so he was glad Shine could join him in this one.

After a quick glance up at River just to double check she was still there, he rose to his paws. "I look first," he declared. In his opinion, seeking was much more fun than hiding. For the former role, there was no waiting and trying to keep as still as possible. Then, he closed his eyes, beginning to count. "One..."

  • Shine didn't exactly know the limits and range they were allowed to hide. Not being able to hide inside was a given. But the entire outside camp was rather large... perhaps they'd simply restrict it to the zone they were currently in? Oh well, no time to establish any of that- Valemon had already gotten straight to counting.

Shine opted to head towards the Hospital, and concealed himself among the overgrowing vines and bushes on the outer walls. His white fur would have stuck out, but there was still a fair bit snow that he could be mistaken for.

  • well damn straight into it, so carefully as he could the dragon tip toed away - a fairly humours sight to see a colossal beast seemingly balancing on the tips of his claws in an effort to be quiet - and looked for somewhere to hide.

Well, he'd be an easy find anyway.

The dragon settled for crouching behind a bunch of trees that ill hid him - in an effort to look like some kinda misshapen rock formation the trees had grown against - it didn't exactly pan out as planned.

/the best game of hide n seek.

  • BABY PINK AND VERY EXPENSIVE —

hope didn't have much time to think extensively about where she would hide; val was already counting and there was no telling how high he'd choose to go. so, hope moved off in a direction opposite of the other players, doing her best not to giggle at the sight of luciferus making his way through the camp on tiptoes. finally, hope settled for hiding just behind the greenhouse, perching herself behind a few rocks that she found there. she didn't want to go too far from val for fear of ruining the game, but she didn't want to make it too easy on him. hopefully her hiding place of choice would provide a healthy middle ground between those two options.
