  • Exandralynn Tygrine Orwell -- Twenty -- Feminine

Exandralynn squeaked as she was pulled by the wrist over to the food. She blinked and looked down at the pot, her nose wrinkling at all the strange smells. She hadn't recognized a few of them but she didn't really have room to complain. She looked over at Makena, watching her for a moment. She didn't realize how pretty the redhead woman was. She was definitely one of those rare natural beauties. She turned her attention back to the food with a nervous chuckle.

  • She saw the blatant disinterest in the food she nodded her head. Yeah she assumed she would feel this way. "it's not that bad if you hold your breath. But if you really don't want to risk suffocating while trying to eat, I have a few spare apples" she offered before a burly voice called her name.

"Eh! Makena! Wheres tha' new gurl? I think we outa make friends!" he said is a slurred tone. His name was Avair and he was the main drunk of the group. There wasn't a moment in time where he wasn't holding a bottle and chugging the sour liquid.

The girl opened her mouth to speak when another voice interrupted her. She jumped a bit and turned, her dark eyes watching the man. She curled her lip at the smell of him and backed up next to Makena, a sour look on her face. She had been around far too many people like him and she didn't like it.

  • White teeth made a small appearance as grinned at the her reaction. Yeah she would be right to have that worry. "Avair, you're drunk. Now if not the time" she stated rather kindly. Suddenly he jolted up, shaking his empty bottle towards the two girls. "Y *hick* ou can't tell *hick* me what do do..g-girl! I'll *hick* say hi whenever *hick* I w-want to! he bellowed before stumbling towards the girls.

In a swift motion Makena started towards him. She grabbed his left arm and spun it around him, shoving it close to his back and bringing her floor up to shove him away and onto the dusty floor. This earned a roar of laughter from the other bystanders. "Actually you wont; and I suggest you stay there, or I get Akina" she threatened before pulling her red locks behind her back

The girl squealed as Makena moved fast to keep him from touching them. She laughed and then covered her mouth in embarrassment for her outburst, her cheeks heating up. She was really impressed with the redhead. She couldn't have done something like that. Exandralynn giggled softly as her hazel gaze met Makena's.

  • She stood tall, extending her arms and giving a bow. It was the same stance she ended the show with, and she often would do it out of habit. Turning on her heels she bared a bright smile as the crowd around her cheered and applaud. "Don't worry about him, newbie. He's all talk. Mostly" she informed with a wink and a chuckle.

A few moments had passed and the two girls had settled in among the others. They talked for a while, laughing, and trading jokes. Once by one the others retired to their own tents. Leaving Makena and Exandralynn to themselves. The fire had now burned down to embers, but heart still rose from it.

Makena was laying on her back, her head resting on her arms as they where crossed behind her. A tiny bone wiggled slightly in her mouth as she spoke, "So tell me, Newbie. Whats your story?"

The brunette beauty had been staring up at the night sky when Makena's voice broke through the silence. Her gaze went from the sky to the redhead woman and she gave her a small smile, sadness in her eyes. She pulled her knees to her chest, laying her head on her knees as her dark hair fell in ringlets onto her back. "There's not much to tell. I am a very boring person." The girl laughed softly, shaking her head. Her face seemed to glow in the dim light, her beauty breathtaking.

Her pale skin was soft and almost completely flawless. Her hazel eyes shimmered with such hope and awe, it was enough to make a poet's head spin. Her dark hair was curled around her face perfectly and always seemed to fall in the perfect way. Her pink lips were parted in a slight heart shape as she exhaled.

  • Copper curls slowly fell as Makena switched her eyes over to the other female. ”What? Oh come on!”, she began as she lifted herself into a sitting position, ”Everyone has a story. You can’t be that boring if you decided that dragon riding was your dream”. Sure she herself didn’t have the most interesting of life’s, but she couldn’t complain now.

”I’ll tell you what, my story for yours?”

The girl blinked as she looked over at the woman. There was no point trying to push it. She just nodded her head with a small smile. She barely knew the girl and she was about to tell her her life story. Great. The girl pursed her lips, her hazel eyes glistening in the moonlight. She waited for Makena to speak.

  • She sat up straight, clearing her throat before speaking. She talked about her family, and how boring they where. She explained she was an an only child, and her father had always wanted a son, but she would have to do. Moving on to her child years she told how adventurous, dreaming of being off the ground and in the sky. Soon she was near the end of her normal life and she explained how she left her family and joined the circus. "So thats me. Now you"

The sweet girl listened intently, wanting to remember everything she said. She blinked as Makena informed her that it was her turn. She laughed nervously and bit her bottom lip, a nervous habit she had. Her other nervous habit was braiding her hair, which she began to do. Once her hair was braided, she looked down at the ground. "My mother is a very important person to me. Growing up, it was just her and I. My father abanonded her once she got pregnant. She didn't care what people in the villiage said. As long as she had me. Then, she fell in love with a fisherman when I was twelve. She got married to him and had two children with him, my siblings. My sister, Alyce is now eight and my little brother, Jeremiah, is five. Three years ago, our farm caught on fire. My step father died saving my mother's favorite horse. My siblings, mother, and I survived and so did a few of our animals but our crops and our land died. My mom went into a depression and began to lose her memory, not being able to help anyone or herself. So, I joined the circus so I could send money back to my siblings." Exandralynn explained with a soft and sad smile.

  • Makena listened to the story. She was slightly saddened by her past, and a feeling of guilt came over her. Maybe she didn't wan't to tell such a tragic tail. Clearing her throat again she shifted slightly. "I'm sorry to hear that. But you don't have to worry. i'll make you a fine dragon rider" she assured her with a faint smile.

Exandralynn smiled softly and her eyes sparkled in the moonlight. "Thank you, for giving me a chance." She said with a small laugh, her cheeks flushing a bit as her gaze flickered over to the dim fire. She had enjoyed speaking with the fierce redhead all night. The dark haired beauty yawned, pulling a knee to her chest as she laid her head on her knee. "I want to know who he was, my father. It's always been something that's been in the back of my mind, gnawing at me." She spoke softly.

  • "Well you picked a good job. With your training your fame will start to rise, and if he's still out there, then he's bound to hear of you" she assured before she too yawned herself. With a grunt she shot herself to her feet, dusting herself off and kicked some dirt into the slightly burning fire. "Come on, rookie. You have a huge day ahead of you tomorrow, and you'll need your sleep" she told her as she held out her hand in a gesture to help her up.

The girl smiled softly at her words and took her hand, huffing as she lifted herself up with Makena's help. "Thank you." She said softly and walked beside the redhead as they headed back to their tents.

  • The two females walked for only a short time before they reached Exandalynn's tent first. "Well I'll see you first thing in the morning. Be awake, alert, and no complaining' she said with a slight nudge to her shoulder before saying her goodbyes.

The petite girl woke with a yawn, her dark curls falling over her pale face in ringlets. She sat up, rubbing her eyes as the baby dragons chirped at her. She giggled softly, her tiredness evidently on her sleepy face. She gently pet the baby dragons before standing, moving her dress so it didn't cling to her body in ways that would get her the attention she didn't want. She coughed a bit and began to run her hands through her hair, trying to control her mess of hair. She hadn't had any money when she left so she only had the clothes on her back.

  • Makena was a very early riser. Often she was awake before the sun had even decided to show its light to the waking world. She was already dressed, with her hair braided and put on a bun on the back of her head. Instead of a dress she wore a tight leather outfit that held to her body. Akina too was saddled up and currently biting down on a large cow carcass as Makena fixed and pulled on her leather straps.

As the faint sound of a tent flap opened Makena turned her attention towards her. A smile on her face before she gave another quick tug before clapping her hands together in an attempt to dust them off.

" 'morning. How bad does your back hurt?" she asked right away, knowing she slept on nothing but hay and dirt.
