PERSONALITY

The cranky ole prince of the palace, Jeremy or just Prince, has been fighting for longer than some of the fighters have been alive. He has earned his spot as one of the most senior fighters from the grit and determination he always seems to have. He just never gives up, he always gets back on the horse, and he just keeps coming. Some would think that his age would slow him down, but his stamina is stronger than ever. Off the ring, he's friendly, but to a point, he is quiet, doesn't like to talk unless talked to, and he's rather mean at times. He hates to take up space, he hates to not be useful, and he has a dry sense of humor. Cynical and realistic, in different circumstances he could have been a successful business man, but life had not been kind to him, and so he is not kind to life. He has no qualms killing if they let him. He is often short, cranky, and rude until he's gotten a few fights into him and then he lights up with adrenaline and prowess. He's addicted to fighting, among other things, and his addictive and violent personality carries over to the rest of his life as well.

HISTORY

Born and bred in the Bronx, Jeremy's family was mixed in with the underworld since before he was born, his mother the wife of a criminal gang leader, she tried to keep his head on straight for hope that he wouldn't be like his violent and ruthless father. He grew up, barely made it through school, almost quite to find work to support his mom in high school because in middle school his father was incarcerated. The one redeeming quality of his abusive father was that he never once mentioned him or his mother so they lived free of any connection to him. After highschool, he got into fighting to pay for his mom, he had a natural talent for it and learned quickly. When he was 23, his mother found out she had cancer, and since he couldn't pay for her treatment, he watched her die slowly. He's had no contact with his father since his incarceration, and therefore was living on his own. When he was 28, he met Margot Forbes. They fell in love, she would cheer him on every fight and eventually she carried his child, a daughter they named Mia. Mia was sickly from the start, and the hospital bills raked in until the doctors finally told them Mia had the same cancer as his mother, she was four and a half and died at five. This tore a rift between Margot and Jeremy, but before they could officially divorce, she was murdered walking home from, she and him had just been fighting viciously, and on her way home she was killed. The police investigated her death but to keep them off the fightclubs tail, he did everything he could to have them stop investigating him despite the fact that he wanted so badly to know who killed her. Now he is the shell of a man he used to be, and takes part in several bad habits, always drinking, smoking cigarettes, and taking fights too far, ie. fighting to kill not just to win.

Cold and calculating, Jonah sees everything as a string of numbers. He isn't really in touch with his emotions, he only knows whats appropriate to say based on what people tell him. Though in all honesty, he could care less about what people think of him, he's good at what he does, and they can eat shit if they don't like him. Determination and a surprising amount of patience for certain things drove him in his career. He just keeps coming at things from different angles until one of them fits. He's a bit like a Belgian Malinois, he's exceptionally good at his job, and lives for his job. He is loyal to a point, but people say that he would make a really good criminal if someone rubbed him the wrong way. He holds grudges for a long time, and takes insults personally. Despite the fact that his head is what got him so far in such a short career, he leads with his heart, he tries to understand what normal people do, but he's just careless with his actions and doesn't really understand the effect he has on people. That effect being people tend to hate him because he is inconsiderate and intuitive, going straight for the pressure points almost by default. He works better alone, but really the police department only keep him around because of the fact that he is a prodigy for a reason, his intellect is considerably more worth it to have on their side over the criminals getting their grubby hands on him. Even though his defining feature is his intelligence, he can be naive at the best of times, ignorant at the worst.

HISTORY

Born to Gabriel and Pearl Romanov, he lived the high life in upper Manhattan attending the entire boarding schools available their, and graduating at the tender age of 16. His parents were distant, and he pretty much raised himself from the moment he could walk and talk, his father occasionally beat him if he interrupted business meetings and his mother couldn't care less about her son hen she had so much money to spend and parties to attend. After high school, he attended Yale University at the age of 17 and by the age of 19, he graduated with a bachelors degree in forensic science. He acquired the detective job because of his outstanding resume and he would add prestige to the NYPD department. This gig really is only his first stop in a long line of future career advancements. But hey, you gotta start somewhere.

Indi is truly the most bubbly, naive girl in town, despite her being well aware of the cruelty of the world, she chooses to be kind, compassionate, and honest. She is loyal and cheerful, almost to a fault, and boy does she love to have fun. Confident and goofy, she is able to be relaxed in any situation. Very people orientated, Indi hates being alone, she gets depressed quickly when left to dwell in her own mind. She loves to be helpful, she is happy to tidy up, and patch up the fighters, and although she is technically Bookie's intern, she's really the housewife and mother type figure in the Fighter club, everyone knows her name and most see her as a little sister. Welcoming is her key trait, she treats everyone like family and that includes giving you a good smack if you deserve it. While she is no fighter, she is brave, she knows when and who to stand up to and when and to back down. Naturally more submissive, don't mistake her for being a pushover, no one can get anything past her, she has a unique ability to tell when people are lying to her, and she can most definitely handle the truth. People who don't know her well may think she is a weak little girl always taking care of everyone and not really aware of what the world is really like, but she has endured the "real" world and chooses to pretend it doesn't exist until it is no longer able to be ignored.

HISTORY

Born and raised in a poor Brooklyn family, her mother died when she was young, and her abusive father was left to care for four children, 3 boys and Indira. They lived in a little crap shack, two bedrooms one bathroom and moldy musky air, in the center of a old apartment building. Her father fed them, and that was it besides taking out his depression and alcoholic rage on Indira and her older brothers. Her eldest brother left the moment he could get away, and left Indira her her other two brothers to fend for themselves. Her second oldest brother and third oldest brother tried to escape with her, but since they had taken to petty crime to help pay for rent, when they escaped, the cops ambushed them, and the two tried to protect Indi by telling her to stay hidden while they were captured. Finally with nowhere else to go, she returned to her father who could barely stand to look at her because of her similarities to her mother. When she was eighteen, she left and became homeless for a short time before begging for a job from the fight club, Bookie offering her an "internship" she is paid minimum wage but she's not on the streets and has found her true family so its worth it.

Society of Strays actually it might be fun to have a love triangle between Indi, Ryder and Sid, I feel like she would click with Sid too, so we could have her being pulled both ways. I just know that she’s the type to be in a relationship right off the bat, so it could be more fun for her to be tied between the two of them, that way if Ryder’s clicks with another character in the rp, she could swing towards Sid instead.
