dawn patted her hands dry and looked over what she cooked . it was a full course meal that'll keep her family eating for at least today . smiling softly she looked down at the twin elves and then back up at the time . 'it's nearly noon !' she noticed with amazement . she was slightly surprised that her parents didn't come back yet . getting a little anxious she prepared for the worst . 'what if a ... orc ate them ... wait no ... thats not right ...' dawn slapped the silly idea out of her head as the front door opened . it was them . both of her parents looked tired and just overwhelmed . frowning she handed them a plate of breakfast and sat them down . 'i don't know if i can leave out today ... at least not in the day time ...' she sighed noting that she might not be able to see aiken till night .

Adelaide carefully stepped out of her wooden carriage as it stopped in front of the castle. It was a large white spire made only of the finest in building materials. Large vines and ivy draped down the building’s many balconies. There were even ledges filled with nothing but water, pouring into other ledges of water, just for the sake of aesthetic. Adelaide felt intimidated, despite the fact that she was slightly taller than the elves she was visiting. Adelaide and her servants walked down the pathway that led to the front door. On each sides of the walkway, standing perfectly still, were rows of elf guards, all perfectly mirroring each other. They did not say anything to them, as that was not usually allowed when confronting a royal entourage, but Adelaide could see them sneering at them. Adelaide was just about to knock on the door, when one of her servants lightly pushed her out of the way and did it themselves. Presumably nothing happened after that, though Adelaide sworn she saw an elf slide the peephole door open, look at them for a few few seconds, and quickly shut it, doing nothing to open the door. The orc servant knocked again, this time more aggressively, until a spindly elf servant opened the door. “What do you want? We don’t just let any orc in here you know.” They said, collective yet aggravated. “We have come here by inivitation of Prince Aiken. We have brought Queen Adelaide in regards to the arranged marriage.” One of the orc servants said, gesturing towards Adelaide, who gave a nervous wave. The elf scoffed. “Yeah right and I’m the ruler of this kingdom. Why don’t you go off and play in the mud, or whatever you orcs do.” They said, waving them off and turning around to go inside. “You elves are all the same! You’re all so snobby and think that you’re better than everyone else!” An orc guard yelled, gripping onto their axe. The elf turned back around to face them, eyeing the axe. “Go ahead, use your weapons on me. It’ll just prove that you’re the monsters you are.” They said. The two sides began to verbally fight with each other. Adelaide tried to calm them down, but nothing stopped their arguing. Instead, Adelaide fiddled with her dress, uncomfortably, hoping that the Prince would come to the door and save them.
