Muse A is the young ruler of Isalia, the kingdom of the elves. Since the death of their parents, they had recently been coronated, despite their younger age. However, unbeknownst to the upper crust aristocrats, Muse A is secretly dating Muse B, a snarky and resourceful peasant who has resorted to stealing and thievery in order to survive. By day they would listen to subjects and pick pockets by themselves, but by night, the couple would meet with each other. All was good, until one day, everything changed. Muse A had discovered they had to partake in an arranged marriage with Muse C, the young ruler of Albreia, the kindgdom of orcs, Isalia’s mortal enemy, in order to instill peace and stop a major war from happening between the two kingdoms. At first, Muse A and Muse C were reluctant about forcefully marrying each other; after all, they were enemies without each other. However, they slowly began to get to know each other, and possibly ended up developing feelings for each other. Now, Muse A must decide between running away from their royal life and stay with their roguish lover Muse B, or save the land from chaos by marrying Muse C, the surprisingly kind-hearted ruler of the enemy kingdom. What will happen? The choice is up to you.

  • Pardon the hume pick, just replace ears and we're good XD

  • It’s kind of a character driven thread. Muse A has to decide between Muse B or Muse C. I also thought it would be cool that, since Muse A and B meet at night since they’re from two different social classes, we have Muse A interact with Muse C during the day and Muse B during the night or something.

  • OOC: I’ll start!

IC: Adeline’s fingers twiddled as her carriage made its way to the Elven kingdom. She stared out the window as she saw the giant ivory in the middle of the town square. That’s where she would be staying. It was much more pretty and fancier than the royal carriage she was riding in. The she orc slumped back, or at least she would, if it wasn’t for the fact she was so tense. Her royal servants tried to reassure her, but her mind was elsewhere. She couldn’t help thinking about this arranged marriage she was partaking in. And with an elven prince no less! Not that she had anything wrong with elves, it’s just that, well, their kingdoms were at war, and this was the only way to stop it. All Adelaide could do was just pray that the elves didn’t find her too ugly.

  • dawn jumped off the ledge of her bed and onto the floor . she was going to see Akien today and hopefully spend all day with him . smiling she headed for the door of her room . there was voices on the other side , but it was small voices . twitching her enlarged ears she recognized the voices . opening the door dawn confirmed her suspensions for it was her younger siblings . rolling her eyes she ducked down and other them into a hug . • "Is everything ready?"

    "I believe so, my liege."

    "Good."

    "..."

    "...Quit the act, Dianthe."

"Come now Aiken, I jest! I jest!"

Preparations for Adeline's stay were nearing their completion, with the only thing missing being the guest of honor. A the moment, Aiken had invited his cousin Dianthe to his quarters; she had just recently arrived in Aiken's father's kingdom not too long ago in anticipation of the wedding ceremony.

"You sound like those humans out west.... always hiding their intentions." He grumbled in annoyance, sitting across from her as he moved a pawn forward on the chess board atop the table.

"Isn't that where you got this silly game?" She countered haughtily, claiming his piece with her bishop from out under his nose.

Aiken heard her comment looked at the move with disdain, his grumbling continuing.

The two continued to play a few moves, moving pieces back and forth.

"Well, is she... acceptable?" Dianthe asked curiously, stressing the last word.

    "What do you mean, 'acceptable'?"

"Well.... she's an orc." She confessed her concern.

"It's an arranged marriage." He sighed at her statement, knowing where her hesitance came from.

"And you had no say in the matter?"

Aiken looked at her, his stoic facade suddenly dropping as he expressed some concern for the matter, looking into his cousin's eyes.

Surprised, his cousin stopped her hand from moving the next piece. "Y-you... approved of this?!" She asked, more baffled than disgusted.

Looking down at the chess board, Aiken put his hands on his temples. "We're at war. It's the only way to avoid bloodshed."

"What have you done with the old Aiken?" She asked, "You're nothing like he was."

"That's because he wasn't of age for the throne the last time you met." He breathed.

"And what about that other young lady you keep seeing?" She poked at the question of Dawn, moving her king forward out of the reach of Aiken's rook. Though she had not met the girl personally, she knew Aiken saw her occasionally, when time permitted.

Aiken fell silent again; it seemed like he'd had enough for today.

"What? nothing? She asked him, trying to provoke a response.

"No. We're finished here, cousin. I will see you in the dinning hall tonight."

He placed his winning piece down.

    "Checkmate."
