steve was beyond lost. the domestic feline had decided to go for a short walk outside of camp to explore his new territory and clear his mind. he was enjoying his new life in the shadow veil, but he couldn't fight the guilt of leaving his old home. he didn't leave anything, no note or sign of disappearance. steve had figured it wouldn't matter, but was having second thoughts now that he was away. he knew nancy and jonathan would be more than glad to see him gone, but what would his parents think? they weren't around too much, but it was nonetheless a concern to have your son missing. lost in thought, steve hadn't realized he had exited his own territory and now found himself near what seemed to be the border of some other clan. perfect. seeing as he had only been a part of the shadow veil for a few days, he was unfamiliar with what scents were allies and which were enemies. either way this wasn't good.
the brown tabby couldn't remember from what direction he had come from, after all most of the forest looked exactly the same. maybe he could follow his own scent trail? steve sniffed the ground before realizing the utter stupidity of that idea. the tom was never the brightest, and problem-solving was never his strong suit. hell, the only reason he had come to the clans was to escape his surplus of problems back home. "shit steve, you've done it again! ya done goofed!", he grumbled as his amber optics searched for an answer that wasn't there. the feline froze when he realized he had spoken aloud. at least now he could at least expect to be berated by some stranger.
"Speech."
