“He didn’t hurt you did he?”

"Well... I tried talking to see what happened, but he got mad and started chucking me about..." She sweatdropped.

“Yeah... he did that to me too...” Tails sweatdropped “But did you get to talk to him normally?”

*She nodded "Yea, after he finished putting me through a wall, he looked at me funny and asked if I was a hedgehog. So I said yes, and then he mentioned about how another hedgehog and fox had been in just minutes before."

“Wait, He our you through a wall?! Why?!”

"Well, not exactly through it fully. Remember that time Kncukles grabbed Metal by the head and slammed him into the wall multiple times?"

“Oh yeah... ouch...” Tails looks back at Sonic “Perhaps we should try to talk to Mario again.... see if we can learn more about this version of the Mushroom Kingdom and what we could do to fix it

*Sonic nodded "Right... but how about we wait until after he finishes today's session? You two have been through enough already."

About an hour or so later, they see a lot of Toads and Koopa leaving the gym, and the Open sign suddenly stopped illuminating

"There we go..." Sonic murmured, walking over slowly.

Tails knocked on the locked door, and Mario came out “Hello? Oh.... it’s you guys again...” he murmured

*He nodded "Heh, yea... anyway, sorry to bother you... but, we just need a few questions answered, if it's alright."

“Sure. The only thing I was gonna do was help out Luigi close the pet store but I’m sure he can do it on his own. What is it?”

"So, first thing- you said Bowser was married to Peach, right? Any idea how long they've been married for?"

“32 years... give or take a couple months” Mario answered simply

"And... no one tried stopping his attempts to take over the kingdom...? No one at all?"
