  • Constellationdreamer had wanted to wait at least a few weeks until she started being weird around this new generation of Shadow-whatevers. But that had also been before Jiyu had showed up at her joining with a few choice words about how she had abandoned her, and how she was planning on staying invisible for as long as Constellationdreamer was here, and probably longer. Reasonably, the golden tabby tigress was both angry and determined to talk to her old friend to clear things up between them. Jiyu had been right to assume that she wouldn't be escaping her friend to easily, especially not when the tigress was armed with a will of steel and several bags of flour.

Constellationdreamer was going around camp, tossing the flour everywhere in the hopes of catching Jiyu in one of the corners, invisible and without a scent. This was the only way she was ever going to catch her friend, and so she didn't mind looking stupid. Desperate times called for desperate measures, and she wasn't about to let Jiyu fade into anonymity again. No, she was on the hunt now. Hopefully, none of the Shadow Veilers minded that their territory was being coated in a layer of white as Constellationdreamer searched for a certain invisible calico.

Kebechet didn't actually have many friends in the Shadow Veil, especially given that most of the members were adults and she was but a child. She never had to go searching for anyone to talk to (in fact, it seemed people instead sought her out in an attempt to test her restoration abilities, which were very real, thank you very much). She spent most of her time buried in her thoughts, self-harming and then watching herself heal again as though it were hypnotizing. She imagined herself leading a battle, shocking enemies with her 'immortal tendencies' as they tried to kill her, doing her part to secure a victory-

And then, as she walked out of her den, Kebechet was hit square in the face with a clump of flour.

Sputtering, she backpedaled and shook her head in an attempt to get the white flecks of hell itself off of her fur, sneezing all the while. It tickled her nose, irritated her eyes, and she couldn't help a low growl as she pressed her face into the nearest solid surface and began to rub. "Hey, what are- achoo!- what are you doing? Why- ach- oh god, miss, how do you- ach- get it off- achoo!"

  • he hadn't been here long himself, coming back from obscurity to find his lone parent had found himself a wife and now he had half a dozen younger half siblings about - which was not really surprising, dear old dad did have quite a few children - possibly he might be the oldest, the jury was out on that yet though.

BlackTide snorted to himself, the action caused a few small tears of black liquid to trail from his nose and mouth briefly - the hissing in his ears tinged in dark amusement - as the dark armoured feline made his way over to the two - ah, a little sister and someone he did not know.

His brow raised at his younger siblings antics, before his wine dark gaze moved to the stranger "BlackTide, I don't think we've met"

  • Constellationdreamer hadn't been planning on dousing anyone in flour on her mission to find Jiyu, but she didn't exactly regret it as Kebechet walked headfirst into one of the clumps of flour she had tossed out. She watched with an amused expression as the poor kid backpedaled, sneezing uncontrollably. There was a low chance of her being actually hurt by the flour, but Connie did feel bad for stressing her out so much. "Soap and water should get it off, but the water will make it turn to paste before it comes off," the golden tabby tigress told the sputtering child with a small smile. "And I'm looking for a friend of mine," she added with a frown as she turned and began to toss the flour around again, trying not to breath in the dust.

Blacktide's approach had Constellationdreamer turning to face him, intrigued by the black liquid dripping from his nose and mouth. Still, it was rude to comment on that, and she already felt bad enough by sounding so arrogant at her joining. "Pleasure. I'm Constellationdreamer," the golden tabby tigress spoke, mismatched turquoise and copper gaze flickering around the camp in hopes of spotting Jiyu's footprints in the flour.

  • HOW TO BEHAVE IN THIS PLACE —

The cackling laughter of Shu could be heard as he came up behind Kebechet, obviously very amused by his sister doused in flour. He almost wished he had thought of something like that, throwing flour on people. Constellationdreamer may have not done it on purpose, but it sure was a good way to cause mischief in the young pup's mind. The Chow Chow took a seat, warm chocolate eyes glittering with amusement as he looked at Kebechet and then the woman who had been throwing flour in the first place. "You're looking for a friend by throwing around flour?"

  • Constellationdreamer's mismatched gaze shifted to Shu next, cracking a smile at his laughter. She remembered him from his joining, and he had seemed quite interested in the fact that she had been gone for a long time. "She likes to keep herself invisible to avoid facing her problems. Right now, I'm one of those problems, but I'm also trying to fix it, but she's being a big baby and not showing herself," the golden tabby tigress responded, raising her voice as she did so and looking around as if her thinly-veiled taunts would cause Jiyu to drop the invisibility. She knew the calico too well to really believe that such childish taunts would work, but it was worth a try.

  • Blake was, unsurprisingly, very meticulate about their appearance. They didn’t obsess over it, but that didn’t mean they didn’t try to look nice, and a pawful of flour to the face didn’t really help with that. The lynx point had just been making their way around camp, minding their own business, when this girl came out of nowhere, throwing flour everywhere. Nice. Wrinkling their nose, Blake stumbled over to stand near Shu, snorting out a little cloud of white powder as they wiped their eyes. At least she was pretty, huh? “Maybe she’s busy,” they offered, only halfway paying attention to what they were saying as they tried to dust more flour from their cocoa and white coat. “I don’t think we’ve met,” they went on, a kind, charming smile lighting up their features as they extended a flour-covered paw toward her. “I’m Blake, hun.”

  • SUTEKH FANTASIA-REAVER

    Shadowveil - Duskreacher - Male - 6 months - tags

Sutekh approached cautiously, pausing every step of the way to cover his face with his paws. It would be dangerous if he inhaled the flour... he could sneeze! While the little demon enjoyed a good sneeze, it would probably move his lower jaw and that would hurt like hell. Having a shattered jaw certainly sucked.. why couldn't he have gotten the super cool healing powers his older sister had? Taking a seat near the gathering group, the vampire managed to introduce himself as he covered his nose and mouth tightly, mumbling, "Sutekh." He wondered for a moment if he looked silly, but he didn't care.

  • It seemed that Constellationdreamer's search for Jiyu would have to wait for now, considering how many people her flour-throwing had attracted. They probably all thought she was some crazy lady who liked to do weird things to find an 'invisible friend'. Hell, they probably doubted Jiyu even existed. She'd had enough experience with actually hallucinating the calico that she wouldn't fall for that again, hopefully. "Busy avoiding me, probably," the golden tabby tigress grumbled in response to Blake's words. However, she stopped throwing flour around long enough to smile at them in greeting and dip her head at their introduction. "I'm Constellationdreamer. Feel free to make up a nickname, I know it's a lot," she introduced herself while turning to Sutekh as he approached. This must be another of Sekhmet's kids, as his name reminded her so very much of Setekh, an old friend of hers. Hopefully she wouldn't need to say her name again, as he was definitely close enough to hear her while introducing herself to Blake.

  • Jiyu spent most time of her sleeping or hunting for another feline to consume, or another creature depending on which body she took at that moment, she after-all was a cannibal. Since the calico was not out pursuing the hobby called making someone else into a corpse, she clearly was somewhere taking a very long nap, so that she didn't have to deal with the world. Connie was not too far off when she claimed her friend liked running from her problems, if she couldn't kill her problem Jiyu didn't like dealing with it, because in spite of all her years alive, she still did not confidently know how to deal with something she could not kill. From the moment she was born? The she-cat knew she was meant for destruction, everything that happened in her life said so. Yet, sometimes she tried to be someone she wasn't and made friends like Connie, than she was reminded of the existence she lived when they all died making way for another generation, new life, in a way she never could. Heck, even when she had family it was because they understood her, why she couldn't ever be like them, not because she really understood anything about them past a good memory for things they said.

A slight pressure covering some of her body called the she-cat awake, out of dark dreamless slumber, she didn't bother dreaming anymore it was like being awake, she didn't want to be awake. When the female glanced down at her body, she noticed white patches covering her invisible form. Flour? Who woul- Connie. Why was it not shocking the tigeress had actually resorted to throwing flour around to find her, she wanted to be surprised but considering she didn't feel much of anything anymore, she couldn't be shocked. "You are a genius, I'm invisible not nonexistent, you would have had quicker luck if you asked for help from someone with x-ray or heat vision." of course, Connie would likely retort how she was lying about the better luck thing, considering all the power's Jiyu had at her disposal, deceiving two simple powers couldn't be very much trouble. Actually, it would likely be easier for the calico to overload heat vision with fireballs and cold water, or even trick both with her telepathy based illusions, than it would be for her to get this flour off.

With that the calico conjured a basin of water, but Connie knew already, washing herself off was not a fond experience for Jiyu, as the calico was not able to swim, afraid of water. "I should have taken memories of me out of your head." of course she didn't really mean it, and she didn't know Connie was already missing some memories, but she still said it, she said it because she didn't want to get hurt again, Connie was going to die again the tigeress was only mortal, and she would be the one left to feel the pain.

  • Constellationdreamer whipped around as she noticed a spot of flour moving in the shape of a cat, heterochromatic gaze going wide as she took in the sight of Jiyu, though the feline was still technically invisible. "Ha! Found you," she laughed, then paused to listen to the calico's words. X-ray or heat vision? She snorted at the idea, tossing her head a bit. "As if you wouldn't have found a way around that. This was practically foolproof," the golden tabby tigress responded matter-of-factly, tilting her head as if she was challenging Jiyu to tell her she was wrong. She knew her friend like she knew herself, really, and Jiyu would have found some way to avoid detection by using her other powers. Constellationdreamer may be forgetful and aging, but she wasn't stupid. And she certainly wasn't about to underestimate one of her oldest friends.

"You know you wouldn't. And you also know I would have found a way to get them back," Constellationdreamer responded, frowning a bit at the thought that Jiyu would really remove her memories. Surely, she wouldn't, but it had been a long time. Connie understood being unwilling to get hurt again; it was why she had wanted to stay dead.
