Muse B goes to where Muse A landed, trying to make sense of what he had seen, where he finds Muse A laying on the ground unconscious and injured. Immortal - Looks to be in his young 20s.

  • The Fall happened too quickly for my mind to keep up with. One moment, they were telling me that I was guilty, despite my protests, the next I was laying on the ground. The moments in between the two events were a blur, I felt the air rushing beneath me, trying to open my wings to slow my fall to no avail, and then hitting the hard earth. Opening my eyes, I tried to sit up, only to feel such intense pain that all I could do was scream. I tried to stand up, but the pain was more than I could take, I definitely broke probably a few things. My healing isn't working right... I realized as darkness spread across my vision. I couldn't keep a grasp on consciousness anymore, and collapsed back to the ground, my wings spread out underneath me. My last thought at the moment was What am I going to do now..?

  • I was in the park taking pictures for art class. It was dark out, and I was hoping to take some pictures of some constellations. Through my camera, I saw the starry night through his lens. Then, I saw a shooting star. Childishly, I closed his eyes and made a silent wish on the star. While my eyes were closed, I heard a boom, then a strong wind nearly made me loose my balance. I opened my eyes just in time to see a ball of light fall from the sky and land in the park grounds about half a mile from me.

'What in the heck...' I thought shocked, not believing this happening to a person like me. I decided to investigate, my curiosity getting the best of me. As I got closer, I realized it was a person there! I started panicking, running the rest of the way to get to this stranger. When I got right next to them, I gasped. It was a guy with white hair.... and wings. I edged even closer to the person, my hand outstretched to touch his beautiful wings. Suddenly, the guy emitted a pained groan, which brought my attention to what was wrong. I sharply inhaled when I saw the obviously broken leg and arm. Thankfully there weren't any bones protruding the skin of either limb. There were cuts on his body too, but those could be easily patched.

Making a decision that would most likely change my life, I grabbed the stranger and put his arms around my neck. I then swung the taller man onto my back and trudged to my car. Unlocking my car, I put the man in the backseat as carefully as possible, hoping I put his wings in a comfortable way. After getting the stuff I left, I put it in the passenger seat and drove straight to my apartment. I unlocked my apartment door and hauled the man up the stairs as quickly as possible. I put the man on my bed, washed off the dirt and grime with wet washcloths and went to patching up what I could. For the arm and leg, I made make-shift splints to keep the bones in place.

When I was finally done, I was exhausted. Carrying a man was not easy. I looked at the clock and saw it was almost 3 in the morning. "Thank goodness I don't have class tomorrow" I muttered, relieved that the man was fine for now and I could get some sleep. With messy hair and bags under my eyes, I took a nice, long shower and put on a baggy shirt and pants. Grabbing and extra pillow and blanket from the closet, I went to the living room and slept silently on the couch.

  • I was vaguely aware that I was being moved, but I was too out of it to fully comprehend what was going on. Eventually the movement stopped, and I relaxed a bit, the pain was still intense, but exhaustion overpowered the pain. I could feel someone's hands treating my wounds, but I was too tired to even try to open my eyes. I slept for a while, but the pain kept me from sleeping deeply every time I shifted ever so slightly. Eventually the pain numbed as my body slowly healed, it still would take another day or two at least before it was all fully healed. After what felt like only a few minutes of sleep, but was probably a few hours, I finally woke up. The sun was starting to shine though the window, and I stared at it before the realization that I was inside somewhere set in. Looking around the room, I panicked, trying to figure out where I was. After a few minutes, I calmed down enough to think rationally. Carefully I stood up, the pain was still pretty bad, but not as intense as it had been a few hours before. I saw my reflection in a mirror, my white hair was messy and sticking up in random directions, I had dark circles under my ice blue eyes, but what surprised me the most was the bandages covering my face and the other places that had gotten scratched up when I had Fallen. Bracing myself against the wall to keep my balance, I carefully walked out of the room and down the hallway. When I made it to the living room, I noticed someone sleeping on the couch, a young man with curly brown hair. I attempted to walk towards the couch, but as soon as I tried to balance on my own, I tripped and fell to the floor with a thud, Looking to see what had caused me to trip, I noticed the make-shift splint on my leg. Somehow, it had went totally unnoticed until now. Realizing that I had probably just woken up the person, I looked over at the couch.

  • I was startled out of sleep by a loud thud. At first, I was confused, then I scrambled from the couch, remembering his guest. I was about to make my way to my room, thinking the man might have fallen from the bed when I saw said guest was on the floor looking at me. I immediately crouched down, concerned. "Are you okay? Do you feel any pain at all? How do your wings feel? Are you hungry?" I asked, mentally berating myself for not getting up earlier. I started inspecting him, not caring about personal space for once, looking for any blood or more injuries.

  • When I made eye contact with the man, I felt heat rising to my face, it was more than a little embarrassing. I looked at him as he checked over my injuries, it took me a moment before I could say anything. "Uh, yeah... Sorry for worrying you. The pain isn't as bad as it was before, I tend to heal pretty quick." I told him, sitting up and taking off one of the bandages on my face to prove it. Sure enough, the scratch that had been there had already healed without a trace. "Bones take a bit longer to heal though..." I admitted sheepishly, running a hand trough my messy hair. "Well, it'll be a bit before I can retract my wings. I don't think that they're broken, but I landed on them kinda hard, so they're too sore to do anything for now." I was trying to figure out what he meant by "hungry" when my stomach made a rumbling noise, the noise startled me more than I would care to admit.

  • Initially shocked by the man's fast healing, I wanted to question him on what happened. However, I stopped myself thinking it rude at the moment. When I heard the man's stomach growling, I looked up at the man. "Well, I see you are hungry" I smiled, noticing the man's face at the sound. Internally, I frowned. 'Why was he shocked by his own stomach?' I thought. I helped the man to the small table in the kitchen. "I'm going to fix us something to eat. Then we can talk about what happened afterwards." I started taking out food then I stopped, remembering something. "Oh yeah, by the way, I'm Teagan Hughes, but you can call me Milo." I turned and proceeded to make a good breakfast.

  • I watched him from my seat at the table, my wings a bit bulky for the chair, but it was irrelevant for the time being. I only hummed in agreement when he mentioned talking about what had happened. It won't be easy to explain... I sighed internally. I was broken out of my thoughts when the young man spoke again, telling me his name. "Milo, huh?" I repeated quietly. "My name is Viktor Nordskov, but people usually just call me Vik." I told Milo, watching him cook with interest. The smell coming from the food made my stomach growl again, but I tuned out the noise as I thought of how to best explain what had happened in a way that would make sense to Milo. I stared at the ceiling blankly, lost in thought.

  • "It's nice to meet you, Vik. Though, I wish it were under better circumstances" I said sheepishly. I decided to fix pancakes, bacon, and eggs. When I was done fixing the food, I sat Vik's plate in front of him along with some syrup and a glass of juice before sitting down with my own food. I looked at Vik, finally taking in his features. Even without the wings, he was quite a handsome guy. Like he could be a model even. I blushed. Realizing I was staring, I quickly looked away and started eating. When I looked back up, I noticed the thoughtful look on Vik's face. "You don't have to worry so much about telling your story, you know. I mean, I'd guess it's one heck of a story, considering your wings. But right now, you focus on eating and healing up completely. I can wait 'til you're ready to tell me" I stammered, trying to comfort him.

  • I was lost in thought for a while, but when Milo started talking to me, I snapped out of it. I realized that he had already finished cooking and was sitting across from me. "Huh? I don't mind telling you." I told him, taking a bite of the pancakes. "I was just trying to make sense of the whole situation myself..." I took another bite of food before continuing. "I guess I should start with the fact that I'm an Angel." I paused. "Technically speaking." I paused again. "What you saw is called a Falling, which is when an Angel is exiled from Eden." I bit into the bacon, before realizing something. "Oh, yeah. Eden is the part of Heaven in which Angels live. It's usually a peaceful place, but recently some things happened, and for some reason they decided that I was at fault." I explained with a shake of my head.

  • I nodded, confirming my theory that Vik was in fact an Angel. I was surprised that Vik was exiled from Heaven. I wondered what he was accused of. I asked instead, "How much do you know about us humans?" If Vik had Fallen, he was going to be here for a while, forever possibly. Vik would need some help understanding some of the things around here, and I'd be glad to do it. He could stay me too if he wanted. Truthfully, it's been a bit lonely in the apartment by myself and I've had no luck finding good roommates. Plus, it would give me a reason to unpack the rest of the moving boxes left in the guest room.

  • I thought about it for a moment, taking a sip of juice. "I know some basic knowledge, but not much. Especially in this age... Things were very different the last time I was assigned to watching over mortals." I took another bite of food before continuing. "This is my first time actually being on Earth though. Things are very different here." I told Milo. "If I remember correctly, over time, Fallen Angels develop Mortal characteristics." I stated. "Like.... Um... Oh, yeah! Hunger. In Eden, we don't need to eat, so most of us don't understand hunger." I explained to Milo. "Which reminds me, this food is really good!" My train of thought got sidetracked as I ate the last of food on my plate.

  • ooc: This gonna be my last post for the night/morning. Its almost 5 in the morning and I'm tired. It was a great start though. Can't wait to continue!

"I hope the food is good. I'm aiming to be a chef soon!" I grinned, "You'll have get a huge run-down on how things work while you're here. I'll help you with that, along with a few others I know. But as long as you're here on Earth, you got a place to stay, food to eat, and a friend in me. First things first though, you got to be at 100% before we do anything." I've always felt that I had good judgement with people. Viktor Nordskov seems like a trustworthy person, so I'll give him a chance.

  • As I listened to Milo, I couldn't help but smile. I was about to thank him, when searing pain suddenly spread though my wings like an electric jolt. I clenched my jaw to keep from screaming, and gripped my hair in my hands, curling into a protective ball. The pain quickly intensified, and my wings that had been too sore to even move, opened up to their full size. I could hear things being knocked over by the sudden movement, but it was the least of my worries at the moment. C-Corruption..?! This soon?! I realized in disbelief. I was hoping that I was wrong, but one look at my wings shattered that thought. The snow white feathers were turning black, the darkness spreading from the tips of my feathers towards the top of my wings. After a moment of intense pain, it suddenly subsided. My wings folded against my back, as if nothing had happened. I could tell that it wasn't over yet, as only the bottom third of my wings had turned solid black, while the top was still white, and the area between the two had turned to grey. I remained curled up, tears welling in my eyes, partly from the pain, partly from the unfairness of it all.

  • The happiness I felt morphed into worry as I witnessed Vik tense, grab his hair and go into fetal position. I raised an arm to comfort him when his wings suddenly flared out, startling me. The wings tipped the table, sending everything on it to the floor. But I wasn't looking at the mess. "Vik?" I said, very concerned now. Vik's wings were... changing color. I was struck speechless at the scene in front of me: black appeared from the tips of his wings and were slowly creeping up the wing length. When the transformation finally stopped, I gasped lightly. Vik's wings looked like a simple but beautiful watercolor painting. Starting from his wing tips to the arcs, it was a solid black which faded into grey in the middle until pure white peaked at the top. It was as if purity was trying to escape the darkness.

The temptation to touch Vik's wings once again came over me. However, I pushed it to the back of my mind when I realized Vik was crying. "Vik!" Despite the fascinating transformation, it was clear that it caused the angel pain. I kneeled on the floor next to Vik, who was still curled in the chair. "Vik, what happened?" I questioned, not noticing I was very close to his face and holding his hands.

  • When Milo knelt down in front of me, I looked at him, tears sliding down my cheeks. "I-it's c-called C-Corruption..." I told him, my voice trembling. "It's the t-true p-punishment of F-Falling... W-when an A-Angel's L-Light is t-taken from t-them..." I tried to steady my voice, to no avail. "I-it's the m-most p-painful thing a-an Angel c-can e-experience..." The reality of everything slammed into me full force, and I broke down sobbing. There was nothing I could do to change this. "This isn't fair! I never did anything wrong!" I yelled between sobs.

  • I was horrified at the word. "Corruption?" I whispered. I then jumped at Vik's shouting. I never thought that fallen angels go through this. My heart ached at the sight of the man crying. I got some tissue and tried drying his tears. It was futile though, as the tears kept coming. I floundered, wishing I knew the right words to say. I was never good at consoling crying people. So instinctively, I hugged Vik. I felt tears on my shoulder but I didn't care. I muttered comforting words in his ear as he cried. "I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can't even imagine what you're feeling right now. But everything will be fine soon, Vik. I'm sure of it."

  • When Milo hugged me, I was frozen in shock for a few seconds. Then I hugged Milo back, burying my face in his shoulder, gripping onto him as he was the only thing keeping me from drowning. After what felt like forever, the tears slowed and my sobs quieted. I didn't want to think about what I would have done if Milo wasn't here with me. I let out a tired sigh, while it feels good to just let it out, it's also so draining. I loosened my grip on Milo, not letting go of him yet. "Thank you." I told him quietly, my throat sore from crying.

(( ooc: I've been listening to Alan Walker songs while writing yesterday and today, and the interesting thing is that Tired came on as I was writing the last post, so now I've just been listening to that song. ))

  • ooc: You got me interested in the song, so I listened to it. It's ironic that my last post corresponds to the first lines of the song.

Also, Milo is a cuddle-bug with Vik lol.

"You're welcome." I leaned into hug, relishing in the touch and warmth. Hugging Vik felt nice, like keeping home close to you. "Do you want some hot cocoa or tea? It's what I drink when I'm sad." I didn't want the hug to end just yet, but I knew it couldn't last forever. Besides, I wanted Vik to smile again.
