  • the sea was dark at the bottom, lonely and cold. deepsea had named himself after his home, his way of life, who he was. he had been a cold and lonely being in the sea, the white feline always staying to himself, sinking deeper with time. eventually, he found the bottom, and above the water, he could hear voices. rough voices that spoke of words he did not understand. it had always intrigued the feline as he had never spoken before. swimming up, but not too close to the surface, he had caught sight of something, and his heart started to beat. that life-changing moment was days ago, and deepsea had been building up the courage to emerge from his home. the comforting dark of the sea would be missed, but he was ready for the bright colors and warmth of the world above. what he saw was his true love or something that resembled them. whatever it was, it had given the feline emotions. he was now ready. swimming up faster and faster, he gained the heart not to sink any further, and emerged from the sea with a great splash. seafoam green eyes stared at the world before him, taking in every rich color that wasn't blue. landing on the beach, deepsea had coughed and heaved until his body adjusted to the oxygen in the air around him.

    this was a new world, a new life, a new him.

    // hey everyone! i had originally joined the skulls with this dude sometime in july but i thought it would be cool to bring him back here.

  • TELL ME WHO YOU'RE LOYAL TO

    The fox's lethargic demeanor evaporated as she came across a feline who appeared to have just gotten over drowning. Frostbite didn't think 'name and business' was appropriate if this newcomer needed assistance, so she padded over instead saying "Are you alright?"

    //Ayy welcome!

    Archipelagoisland at Frostbite's words wandered over with a tail raised and her eyes perked in curiosity towards the soaking feline. It was not rare for creatures to arrive on their island, but it was rare to find them alive on the shore. Even so, it was rarer to find such a thing on their border that practically lived under water(besides fish). Nevertheless, her assumption was on a washed up shore incident. It was not safe to assume though. So the feline would await the answer. Green eyes slowly searched the former Skulls member with a tilt of her head, only to readjust so she looked rather professional within the moment.

    *:・゚✦ Fright looked absolutely disgusted to see the aquatic creature arrive on their shore. He wasn’t sure how the poor bloke got washed up on one of the Rift’s beaches but he could only guess it was from some horrible accident. Never, would the cybernetic serval think that this stranger had come from the bottom of the ocean. Fright trotted to Frostbite and Archi’s sides as he cast his nuclear green gaze over the strange feline. He wondered what this guy’s story was.

    The child-like spirit and soldier of a serval pulled his lips back into a snarl-like smile through a candy sucker stick already between his metal jaws. ”Howdy, there? What’s happened to you?” he drawled, humming though his teeth.

  • These faces and different creatures forming around him was exciting, but none were the one he had saw from below. That was disappointing. Nonetheless, Deepsea would try to answer their questions. Or what he assumed was a question. The way it tipped at the end of their sentences made it seem so. The first creature to approach had asked him a word he did not know of, so it was quite hard to figure out what to say in return. Similar to that situation, Deepsea didn't know what the return was for a greeting. Another greeting? This was all very confusing for the male. "You" meant him right? Picking into what little vocabulary he had left the male tried to form something of a response. "W....wa- ter......?" That was what the essence of his home was? How would he describe it? It was a void almost. "D..a..r..k..." Many of the new colors reflected in his vision had been a joyous sight, along with fresh faces that were not of the aquatic species. The beach before him was made of sand, something at the bottom of his home. It was soft and comforting to sleep in, cool in the ocean but warm on land. This whole world was beautiful so far. Getting distracted from the question, the male focused back onto Frightfur and answered in a rather weird way, by taking a while to pronounce everything. "N..na- me...be...Deeeeeeeps- s- ea..." that was his name, right? A name was something you used to call someone, right? All of these questions didn't seem to fit in this situation, and he would have to ask about his grammar later. "Neeeeeed pla-..aceeee, to..o... sta..a..y" Now that Deepsea had left his home, there was nowhere else for him to be. Even with all of his curiosity of the land and creatures on it, he still loved the ocean.

  • An ocean-dweller. Just like Ace. Kinda. Deepsea was far more aquatic. He arrived after Frightfur. Looking to the newcomer, he gave a smile, "Welcome to The Rift, Deepsea. I'll leave it up to Archi to decide." The lynx was a little sympathetic for him. Surely living under the ocean was lonely, with no one but the fishes to speak to, and sometimes the fish were cowards and scared of everyone who wasn't their own. It was a rare occurrence to meet someone else who lived underwater, and Ace knew he wanted to befriend Deepsea. Not only because he lived in the vast unknown, but because he probably needed a friend to lead him through this new life.

    *:・゚✦ Fright stepped back from Deepsea with a appalled countenance. Despite the joy in the aquatic creature’s eyes at seeing land and land creatures for the first time, the way the stranger spoke threw the serval off. Was…was he okay? He seemed to be. He seemed happy, in fact. He glanced away from Deepsea for just a moment to observe Ace. ”There’s no way Archi’s gonna turn this guy away. By the sounds of it, he doesn’t have anywhere to go,” but he supposed if a strange guy came out of the sea, it was up to the Admiral to check things out.

    Fright lifted a metal paw to give Deepsea a friendly wave, finally deciding the slow and confusing speech from the others was funny,”Deepsea…that’s you. Got it! I’m Frightfur. You could always stay here, in the Rift, there’s plenty of room and lots of places to explore.”
