peachface, for her beauty. peachcloud, for her kindness. peachfoot, for her long, long legs.

she tried not to fantasize about her warrior name. the feline really did make all the best effort - but any day now, she'd be receiving it. she'd hit that lovely age of adulthood, the twelve month mark, and she desperately craved a name to reflect this. something to tell the world that she was beautiful or kind or quick, something that proclaimed i am someone. exactly what that name would be was unclear to the goddess, but peachpaw knew it would be something lovely. lilystar wouldn't disappoint.

she was pulled from her thoughts and back to the earthly plane upon tripping over her own paws, landing face first in a puddle of melted rainwater, which had begun to freeze over. scowling as she regained her footing, the twelve-month old shook her fur out, picking up the pair of mice she'd caught, one rather plump, the other a skinny little thing. picking her way over the puddle and into camp, the ginger fem would set the pair beside the prey pile, eyeing them with a look of diappointed, formerly warm bodies now wet and growing cold.

"nice one, peachy," she huffed under her breath, lips pressed into a tight frown. "real friggin' nice."

  • Ves was rather scared of strangers, but she couldn't talk to them, either. So if she kept it up that way, everybody would remain a stranger her entire life and she'd never meet anybody and would always live in fear. Vesper didn't want that. She had to find some other way to greet people rather than just sitting there and staring at them. She greeted Otterkit and Dusksparks with ridiculous amounts of affection, but she had a feeling the same tactic wouldn't work on complete strangers. The long-furred kitten watched as one of the apprentices trotted into camp with some prey, looking rather dissatisfied. Oh! She'd seen this one before! Her name was... It uh... It started with a P sound... Pouncepaw? Plumpaw? Peachpaw! Yeah yeah, that was it. Vesperkit trotted across camp with focused steps, trying not to trip over herself as she did so. She had an excuse to trip over herself, though, she was still getting used to walking, and she had stubby little baby legs. Peachpaw was probably just a clumsy little thing. Actually, Ves didn't see that whole scene unfold, so Peachy still had a perfect reputation in Vesper's eyes. As she approached the apprentice, she sat directly in front of her so she hopefully wouldn't startle her, and gave the apprentice a little smile in greeting. Hopefully she'd say something soon, Ves didn't like sitting in silence.

peachpaw was so consumed in the prey she'd caught, which was all but ruined in her eyes, that she hadn't noticed a kitten cross the camp and plant herself in front of the apprentice. eyes shifting to the little girl, though, peachpaw was produce the largest, goofiest grin she could muster, her sour mood instantly dissipating at the sight of the girl. she'd always been fond of kittens - though her sexuality argued she'd likely never have kittens of her own, she'd always wanted to adopt some with a nice girlfriend. raise them as her own.

"hey!" she greeted cheerily, grinning at the fem. lowering herself to the girls level, the grin persisted. "it's vesperkit, right? i'm peachpaw, soon to be... well, i'm gonna be a warrior any day now, so don't get too attached to the -paw." she vaguely recalled the kitten being mute, and that didn't bother her one bit. peachpaw was a chatterbox, and she could certainly talk enough for two
