"Get your filthy hands off of me, Jeremiah Dean. I don't want your no good cheating butt anywhere near

me ever again, do you understand me?"

He laughed, a sound that had once made butterflies flitter about in her stomach but now only brought

pain. He looked at her with his sharp green eyes and she dropped her gaze. "Don't tell me you didn't like

that, Princess. You can't stay mad at me, remember? You're a pushover and given a day or two, you'll be begging

    me to come back."

He took a step closer and Colby Dawn Morgan took an involuntary step back, her back finding the wall and

trapping her. The breath in her lungs disappeared as the man she'd loved stood merely inches away from her. He

grinned down at her and she stared at him, her eyes wide with fear.

"It's a small town, Col... And there ain't no one here who's gonna love you by the time I'm done."

Colby Dawn Morgan is a 18 year old southern belle from Washington, Texas. It's her senior year

in the small town and she's determined to make it a memorable one by whatever means necessary.

Everything turns on its head, however when she discovers that her boyfriend of two and a half years

has been sleeping with the captain of the cheer squad and her best girlfriend. Betrayed and reckless,

Colby decides against becoming a recluse and disappearing for the rest of the semester. Instead of flying

under the radar like her arrogant ex suggests, she throws caution to the wind. With the help of her other

best friend (you), Colby is determined to leave her mark on Washington. Along the way, she'll be forced

to accept some hard truths, learn some things about herself that she didn't know before, and maybe even

stumble upon a love that's been just out of sight for years. Can Colby possibly survive her senior year?

    Plot:

So you're Colby's best friend who's been lowkey crushing on her while staying out of the way of her seemingly

perfect relationship with the captain of the football team, Jeremiah Dean. When she comes to your house in the

middle of the night and climbs through your window with a proposition, you decide to go along with her crazy scheme

to keep her out of trouble and make sure she doesn't go too crazy. Somewhere along the way the two of you start to become

more than friends and we'll just see where everything goes from there :)

  • Ashton James

Ashton is the sweetheart. Everyone knows it. He’s kind to everyone, but he doesn’t really become friends with people despite that fact. It was chance that he and Colby were best friends. But he couldn’t be more thankful for her. He’s super caring. He is a great listener. Though, he’s kinda a nerd. He likes his video games, spends about $200 a month on games. He has crushed on Colby for years, but due to Jeremiah and his little friends, he’s been scared to say anything publicly. He is even scared to talk to Colby about how he feels abou Jeremiah. But, for her sake, he kept his mouth shut.

  • I was planning on starting with Colby coming through the window anyways

If you don't have any other questions, I'll get to work on the first post ^_^

  • Glass shattered as the bottle landed in the bin next to the shelf by the window. Colby groaned and leaned her head back, her cheeks still wet with tears, even though she'd stopped crying a while ago. So what if she was a little drunk? She was pretty sure alcohol was an acceptable turn-to when you walked in on your loving boyfriend and your best friend doing the dirty. The thought still made her mad and knowing that they were both as sober as you can be only made everything worse. But it hadn't ended there. No, Jeremiah had had the gal to follow her out in the hall and try and offer some weak excuse for what she'd just seen.

"Come on, B. It's not what it looks like!" At least he'd had the decency to put his pants back on. The scent rolling off his body was suffocating as usual, but this time it didn't have Colby weak at the knees. She would have kept walking, but he grabbed her wrist and forced her to face him. She'd whipped back around, desperately trying to keep it together as tears threatened her eyes.

"Don't give me that crap. I saw you. It's over, Jeremiah." She had turned to leave, but he'd pushed her up against the wall, his hands on her hips as he'd desperately kissed her, trying to remind her why she'd loved him so much to begin with. Her brain had fogged up for a moment, but ultimately she had managed to regain control and pushed against his bare chest, trying to get him off."Get your filthy hands off of me, Jeremiah Dean. I don't want your no good cheating butt anywhere near me ever again, do you understand me?"

He laughed, a sound that had once made butterflies flitter about in her stomach but now only brought pain. He looked at her with his sharp green eyes and she dropped her gaze. "Don't tell me you didn't like that, Princess. You can't stay mad at me, remember? You're a pushover and given a day or two, you'll be begging me to come back." He took a step closer and Colby Dawn Morgan took an involuntary step back, her back finding the wall and trapping her. The breath in her lungs disappeared as the man she'd loved stood merely inches away from her. He grinned down at her and she stared at him, her eyes wide with fear."It's a small town, B... And there ain't no one here who's gonna love you by the time I'm done."

She took another angry swig of her beer before slamming the bottle down on the floor. She needed some air. She was hot around the collar and as mad as she was, she knew she could cry again in a heartbeat given the opportunity. So what was she going to do? She needed to release some of these emotions but she needed someone to rant to. She needed someone who would listen and take her side. Then, it came to her through the murkiness of her thoughts. Ashton.

It wasn't long later, she was standing in the front yard of her long-time best friend, Ashton James. Bless the James family for living right down the street. Taking a breath, she glanced at the time on her phone. It was two in the morning and she hadn't seen Ashton at the party. His parents would be asleep for sure, so ringing the doorbell was not an option. That left her with only one choice. She was going in the window.

Colby panted a bit as she pulled herself up onto the roof, stabilizing herself before moving towards the window she'd sneaked into so many times before. It had been a long time since she'd sneaked in and the fact that she was a little past tipsy made it nearly a miracle that she'd made it this far without breaking her neck. Managing to pull herself up to the window at last, she began tugging at it from the bottom, knowing her old friend always slept with it unlocked. "Come on..."

  • Ashton checked the time. 9:37pm. He sighed. He had no messages from Colby. He didn’t understand why. Though, it occurred to him that she was at the party. He sighed, turning his desktop off and moving to his queen sized bed. He sat down with a deep sigh. He checked his phone once more, before setting it on his night stand and plugging it up. He had been invited to the party, but he didn’t want to deal with Jeremiah. He hated that bastard. Eventually, he laid down, falling asleep.

It was later in the night that he heard a sound outside. His eyes quickly opened, reaching for the knife under his pillow. Though, when he seen it was Colby, he was relieved. He noticed the struggle she was having. She’s drunk.. He thought. He moved to open the window for her. He helped her inside, the reeking smell of alcohol overwhelming him. He never liked alcohol, but he wasn’t going to disown someone for drinking. He sighed, shutting the window. He sat Colby down on the bed, turning on the bedside lamp.

“Aren’t you supposed to be in bed? All tuckered up and cozy with Jeremiah? You reek of booze.. What happened?”

  • OOC:

That should work fine, thanks :)

    IC:

"Whoa there!" Colby lurched forward as the window opened, but luckily, Ashton was there to catch her. "Hey now, mister." She wrapped her arms around him in a sloppy hug before pulling away and moving over to sit on his bed. She was still dressed from the party, wearing a tight pair of jeans and a white tank top with a small flannel shirt as a jacket. Her blonde hair hung around her face messily and it was obvious she'd been upset. Listening as he questioned her, she frowned at Jeremiah's name. "Don't say it. Don't say his name, that..." a few unladylike words fell out of her mouth as she spoke distastefully about her ex. "I didn't much feel like partying anymore."

Running a hand through her messy hair, the pretty nineteen year old let out an angry breath. She considered Ashton's question as she glared at the floor. If she hadn't caught Jeremiah and Layla tonight, she might have ended up in bed with him, herself. After all, wasn't she looking for him so they could go home and spend some time alone. Cursing, she balled her fists, looking like she might start crying all over again. Alcohol really wasn't good for her emotional control.

"It's over between me and that lowdown, two-timing, no good, cheating jerk..." She spat each word, her voice slurring a bit as she spoke. "He thinks he can scare me... He thinks I'm going to hide under a... a freaking rock? No. If he can go off the rails, so can I... Yeah..." She sat there on the bed, mumbling to herself, her eyes unfocused. She looked rough and she still felt like she wanted to cry, even if she was trying incredibly hard to distract herself with plots of revenge.

  • Ashton was taken back a bit. She didn’t want him to talk about Jeremiah so something had happened. Now he was slightly pissed. He knew Jeremiah was bad. “Did he hurt you? Physically..” He suddenly asked after she finished muttering her words. He sat down next to her, a hand gently on her shoulder. If there was any physical harm to her from him, there was going to be a problem. Ashton was the sweetheart of the town, but there was no denying he could beat someone up if he ever desired. He was fairly strong due to working out a fair bit.

As she began drunkly muttering again, Ashton simply wrapped his arms loosely around her in a small hug. “is this your plot? To go off rails? You’re not going anywhere without me.” He suddenly said. He wouldn’t be able to stand not having her around. It would break his heart. He sighed, moving behind her. He gently took the ponytail holder on her wrist onto his. He gently pulled her blonde hair back and out of her face, giving her a small hug again from behind, and then beginning to rub her shoulders a bit.

“Why don’t you lay down.. get some rest? We can talk about this in the morning. You need to sleep. It’s two in the morning, Colby-D.” He finished with the nickname he’d called her by forever.

  • "No... no no no..." The worst Jeremiah had done was slam her against the wall and kiss her against her will. He had never physically hurt her even though he could have. She had allowed him to see her vulnerable side and now she was going to pay for it. He didn't have to leave a mark because the way he was planning on hurting her now was worse than anything he could ever do to her physically. "I caught him in bed... With Layla..." her words were bitter as she told Ashton who Jeremiah had decided to cheat on her with. Layla had been her best friend since kindergarten and in a way, that betrayal ran deeper than Jeremiah's. "They weren't even drunk."

Colby leaned into Ashton as he hugged her, feeling absolutely miserable. She still looked at the floor, almost like she was confused, but she didn't say anything for a while. Her thin body shook a little and she was still fighting the urge to cry. "He told me to lay low or he was going to ruin my reputation in Washington... He thinks he can scare me and control me, but he's wrong." Shrugging Ashton's arm off, she stood up and started pacing. "I need to change my image. No more Miss Nice Girl." Suddenly she looked at Ashton, her eyes widening. "You've got to help me, Ash! We've got to make a list! All the things I can do that will make Jeremiah crazy. He thinks I'm a pushover? Let's prove him wrong!"

With a scary grin, she jumped up on the bed with him again and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Come on, Ash!" She pressed her soft body against his, her lips brushing his ear gently as she begged him. For a moment longer, she begged her best friend to help her with her quest, but before they could go into more in depth planning, she yawned and fell back onto the bed and passed out. It had been a long day and she'd had too much to drink. Falling into a bed she was familiar with made it all the easier and soon enough, she was snoring softly, her hair sprawled out around her head as her chest rose and fell peacefully.

  • “In bed with Layla..?! And they weren’t drunk?! I’ll kill that bastard..” He hissed. Though, he relaxed and listened to Colby. He frowned. Who did Jeremiah think he was..? He growled, his fists balled. He never showed anger like this, but he was pissed. Though, he turned to Colby as she suddenly jumped into the bed.

His face turned pink when her lips brushed against his ear. “C-Colby...” He whispered. Though, he gently grabbed her arms and kinda forced her to sit down. “I’ll help you, if you promise to lay down and sleep until morning. You need your rest. It’s two am.”

  • Colby groaned a little as she slipped into a drunken sleep. Her hand fastened around her best friend's hand like a baby might grasp at its parent. Before long she was snoring softly, completely out of it. For the rest of the night, she didn't wake up or move around, or even dream. Despite the horror of the night before, she had one of the best sleeps she'd had in a while. When she did wake up, though, the headache that split her skull was almost enough to make her wish she was dead.

"Ohhhh no... Oh, geez, why..." She sat up, rubbing her temple as she groaned and fought the urge to deposit her stomach's contents in the nearest bin. And then, on top of everything, she remembered the night before and felt a wave of grief wash over her. Why... Why had they done that to her? Her best friend and her boyfriend had held hands and smiled as they'd twisted the knife right into Colby's back. They knew what they were doing and they'd done it anyway. That was the part that hurt the worst. Pulling her knees up to her chest, she sat there and tried not to cry for a few minutes. She was tougher than this...
