・゚ ✦ ° I DON'T WANNA LOSE - A loud roar escaped from the pale man as he slashed his sword through the body of an enemy soldier. He could practically feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins while he looked around for another worthy opponent. The young adult was bleeding from head to toe but he was fighting as if his life depended on it, which he pretty much was. He was being cornered by a group of warriors but he did not even care. All that mattered was that he was fighting for his king and his country. He was ready to end his life if it meant that he had served his people well. An honorable death would been more meaningful, after all. His only regret was that he had had not been able to properly say his goodbyes to his fiancé Hyun-ji. He had reassured the dainty woman that he would have returned but it appeared as though that promise would have been broken, judging from his current predicament. The Korean soldier hissed in pain as another man stabbed their weapon through the side of his body, barely missing his stomach. He wobbled back and managed to catch himself before he landed on his rear end. Even if the majority of his men were dying around him, the battle continued to rage on. Soldiers were crying out in pain or in victory, as swords clanked against each other. Dae-hwan gritted his teeth as he steadied himself with his sword. His fatal wounds did hurt as much as the fact that he had not been able to do more. There was still so much that he had to finish and he refused to let it end here. It was just a shame that they had not been more prepared. None of them had seen it coming as the Japanese navy had invaded them when they had least expected it. It was a dirty tactic but he supposed that was the Japanese for you. The bodyguard let out a few deep breaths as a swarm of enemy soldiers rampaged over to him. When he looked around through bloodshot eyes, he realized that none of his men were close enough to help him. He was a goner. The obsidian-haired adult only hoped that his king would have been able to discover his body through the millions that were lying around. At least he would have had a proper burial if they discovered it. When an enemy man finally got close enough to attack him, he admitted defeat. The faces of King Seonjo and Hyun-ji briefly entered his head as he closed his eyes.
The last thing he saw was a flash of bright light before he passed out.
When Dae-hwan opened his eyes again, he expected to find himself in heaven, not a forest. The Korean soldier groaned before he lifted his hand to rub the top of his head. Where in the world was he? He glanced around the area in confusion as he tried to retrace his steps. One minute, he had been fighting in the Battle of Noryang. The next, he was in the middle of nowhere. No matter how hard he tried to put two and two together, nothing seemed to add up. Dae-hwan took a deep breath as he tried to cool his head. Maybe he had hit his head a little too hard after he had passed out? Yeah, perhaps this was all just a dream. He decided to go with that as he ambled around to explore the territory until he woke up. From what he could grasp so far, this place was extremely creepy. The air around him was ominous and eerie, a little too quiet for his taste. He hiked through the area and pondered about the reactions of his loved ones once they found out about his death. They would have probably mourned for him, but what about after that? Would they have eventually moved on with their lives? He hoped that would have been the case as he did not want to burden them with his death but at the same time, a selfish part of him was hoping that they would have not forgotten about him. Even if he ended up just being a small part of their lives, he still wished to be remembered. His lips formed a thin line as he sauntered around the foreign land. As he exited a thick cloud of mist, he eventually stumbled upon a frozen river. It was too, since his throat was getting kind of parched. He debated leaving the area, until something caught his eye. There was something in the river! His eyes slightly widened as he cautiously made his way over to the strip of ice. The figure within the ice was a medium-sized wolf with midnight blue luminaries that had red markings around them. It was also wearing a couple of strange accessories. It was a scarf and a headband. Strangely enough, these articles of clothing looked identical to the ones that he wore. Huh. Had they stolen it from him? He took a step forward, but immediately leaped back when it followed his movements. A bemused frown formed over his lips as he eyed the river. What was going on?
