  • SOMETHING SO MAGIC ABOUT YOU!

    Berrykit - male - 4 moons - kit - Thunderclan - easy

The camp had been snowed in for a day now, the prey pile was already growing low. Berrykit had refused to eat since it happened because there were younger kits who needed, and he'd rather his siblings have it then him. He was playing in a corner near the nursery. He had seen the apprentices practicing battle moves and currently he was trying to imitate them. He butt low to the ground and creeping forward, before leaping into the air and clawing at an imaginary enemy. Sometimes when he landed he would giggle, as if the battle had been entirely successful, other times he would growl and roll to his back kicking his feet in the air as if pushing someone off of him. He had been like this for over an hour, and he really wasn't getting any better with his moves.

  • Ashfeather watched as Berrykit, who was, in his opinion, the most adorable kit in the Clan, practiced battle moves. Of course, fighting wasn't the dark tabby warrior's thing, but he couldn't help but enjoy watching Berrykit. After all, it wasn't that the black tomcat disapproved of fighting - it just wasn't something he was personally interested in. Trotting over, an unusual spring in his step, he let out a chuckle. It was clear that this kit wasn't someone who was easily satisfied, and Ashfeather found that to be an admirable trait, one that he also possessed. "You're doing really great, Berrykit! I can tell you're going to be a very tough warrior!" sure Ashfeather was no fighter, but he could already see it in Berrykit. He showed eagerness for battle, something Ashfeather had lacked from a very young age. "Don't worry if you don't get things right away. You're not even an apprentice yet, and I'm sure you'll be even better by the time you're a warrior." Ashfeather's paws itched with excitement - it sure would be cool if he was there to witness Berrykit's warrior ceremony, to see him grow.

Berrykit was a little startled by Ashfeather's approach as he was deep in focus. Flicking his ears, he rolled off of his back and stood. For a moment he looked completely white with only his eyes differing slightly being bright gray. Then he shook off his pelt and the black appeared, covering most of his body. He cast a grin towards Ashfeather, listening closely to the tom as he spoke. "Of course I'll be better! I'm going to be the best fighter the clan has ever seen! That way I can protect everyone!" He pawed at the snow fiercely before shoving at so it would shower over the larger tom. Now the tuxedo kit grinned, "Say...you had to learn to fight didn't you..." He would pause approaching the tom before sitting right in front of him and looking up at him with big doleful eyes, "Maybe you could teach me a little?"

  • Ashfeather chuckled at Berrykit's ambitious streak - he hadn't a problem with that. Ambition was very important. Of course, it didn't matter if Berrykit wasn't sure what he wanted to do with his life right now, but what was clear was that the black and white kit intended on being a powerful warrior. Of course, there was a chance that something might go wrong and that might not happen, but Ashfeather hoped he would be there to support the younger feline to the best of his ability if that did happen. As Berrykit asked about the fighting moves, the dark tabby tensed a little. He was no fighter! But this was what Berrykit wanted. He hesitated before replying, "I'll try my best for you, Berrykit," he offered Berrykit a gentle smile before adding, "But I'm a pretty terrible fighter. You could learn much more powerful moves with another cat - just a little warning from me." But honestly, he did want to spend more time with the kit, so Ashfeather would at least try to make him happy.

The tuxedo tom flashed a bright to the tom when he broke and appealed to his interests. He bounced up, aiming to lick Ashfeather's chin in an excited moment. When he landed he would back away as if getting into position, "Well, you are better than me!" He paused for a moment looking up at the older cat, he would now call a friend. "Gotta start somewhere. Now where do we start?" He tilted his head in a curious manner. He would look rather adorable head tilted like this, he didn't often show his curious side, more his excited side.

  • Ashfeather chuckled as Berrykit bounced up, licking his chin. This was exactly why Ashfeather loved kits. He understood why others might find them annoying, but they were just so adorable and sweet, even if they didn't stay like that forever. "Better than you? I sure am flattered," he teased. Honestly, if any cat was going to be beaten in battle by a kit, it would be the dark tabby. He was no fighter - not at all. That was the way Ashfeather had been ever since he was young, and he had always been proud of it. "Well, instead of me telling you what to do, why don't you first try out some moves on me? It doesn't need to be anything special, just something you've made up. I won't fight back, I just want to see what you know. It's fine if it's not much, I wouldn't expect much at your age."

Berrykit shuffled his paws nervously at the idea of just attacking him. It wouldn't be like his siblings where he could just use brute force and force his way through, literally. Ashfeather was bigger than him and smarter than him. His ears flicked as he stood from his sitting position, "Okay, that sounds good. Just be nice. I'm a just a little guy!" He looked up with a smile, "But actually, tell me what to fix." Then his goofy demeanor disappeared. His eyes narrowed slightly as he scanned Ashfeather. He had no idea how to start so he just went for it. He would attempt to sprint straight under the tabby and then slam his body into his back legs before rolling out from under him.

  • The tabby kept his eyes fixed on Berrykit, and then continued to watch as the kit ran underneath him. Ashfeather stayed still, simply curious to see what the black and white tom would do next. He then felt weight in his back legs, and they trembled a little, the warrior losing his balance slightly and taking several moments to straighten himself. During that time, Berrykit had rolled out from under him. Ashfeather's eyes were wide. "That was impressive!" he exclaimed. "Of course, that tactic will only work if you can fit underneath a cat and if you have enough weight to have an impact on your opponent's legs, but it worked for you, it seems. The move left me unbalanced, too. During that time, you can try to land an attack, as I'll need to balance myself. Is there anything else you can think of?" Honestly, Ashfeather didn't really know what advice to give - but it seemed as though this kid would already be able to beat him in battle.

The kit nodded closely, listening to whatever Ashfeather could give him in form of advice. Then he stood for a moment looking at Ashfeather trying to figure out what he next attack would be. Then he narrowed he eyes again and sprinted at Ashfeather's shoulder, he would aim to paw roughly at it before shoving down the entire tom's side. If this unbalanced him at all he would aim to spin on his back paws and pounce at Ashfeather.

  • //I'm so sorry for the late reply, I was very busy over Christmas!

Ashfeather watched, interested more than anything else, as the kit shoved down his side. The dark tabby immediately grew unbalanced, feeling his paws rock. Unlike most cats, who might be fighting the urge to fight back in a vulnerable state like the one Ashfeather was in, the young warrior instead felt admiration for the black and white tom, and stayed calm, merely curious to see what Berrykit would do next. Then, Berrykit pounced at him. "That was great!" he told the young tom, warmth in his mew. Even though Ashfeather doubted he was being very helpful, there was something about this he enjoyed. Perhaps it was that Berrykit didn't seem to be judging him for how gentle he was, and actually listening to Ashfeather instead. "What do you want to do now? We can work on some defensive moves if you want, but I get the feeling you're more of an attacker. Am I right?" He hoped he wasn't about to embarrass himself in front of his friend by making assumptions.

The large kit grinned from his spot after pouncing on Ashfeather. Now dismounting and backing up he listened to what the warrior had to say. Nodding along he mewed, "Thank-you! I wanna go into being an apprentice with a head start!" The he listened to the rest of the tom's words and nodded, "Yeah I like making the first move, but I won't always be able to do that. Like when the fox snuck into the nursery, I was asleep so I didn't really have any way to make the first move, and if I had been a warrior it would have been the same I just could of actually fought back instead of running." He hissed the last word, still angry he was so small and unable to help out. After a second passed he was grinning again though, "Okay, so you attack me and I try to fend out off?"
