Fadedghost knew he needed to be a good mentor. He had not one, but two young cats under his care. He couldn't let them down, not like he'd let everyone else down. Not like Panthercrawl. Fadedghost refused to see another cat turn to what his friend was now, cold and uncaring. Not again. "It-It-'s t-time to-to tr-ain!" He called, trying not to look petrified as he peeked into the apprentice den. You can do this... You have to do this.

dreampaw grumbled groggily from her nest. she wasnt used to being woke up as early due to only recently gettiing fadedghost as a mentor. just great. she murmured, annoyed that her mentor had just been an apprentice a week ago and no really no experience with this stuff. though, she would give him a chance. amber eyes adjusted to the light difference as she pushed her way past fadedghost who stood at the entrance. why are you so scared. we dont bite, well i mean. my brother probably won't." she commented, pulling moss off her creamy fur. "what are we doing today?" "speech"

Fadedghost backed out quickly as Dreampaw awoke, and fumbled for an answer. "I-I-I'm n-not sc-scared." He murmured, wondering if he'd asked because he looked it, or perhaps because of his speech. "T-Today I w-was th-think-king w-we w-ould pr-practi-se h-hunt-t-ting." Fadedghost didn't want to teach them battle moves yet, and was more comfortable hunting than any other thing he would have to train them in.

  • Frankie had been asleep until two voices reached his ears. They instantly twitched, and woke him up from his slumber. He was a light sleeper. He yawned and licked the roof of his mouth to get the morning taste off his tongue. He then lifted himself upwards and arched his back to stretch. It was odd--being as young as he was and having a former family. He even had to sleep with the apprentices because of his lack of experience. Though, he was skilled more so in agility. "Sounds like a blast." Commented Frankie tiredly and sarcastically. "How about we learn how to sleep quietly instead?" He grumbled, a passive aggressive remark to the apprentices in the den that snored their heads off, or moved so much that the shuffling of the moss nests were unbearable to listen to.

&& His sides brushed the sides of the tunnel as he followed it quietly, three mice and a thick breasted robin hanging limply in his jaws. Once he broke out into the main cave, icy light stung at his beryl ocular, causing the tom to blink rapidly in discomfort. Snow still clung to his paws and pelt, melting slowly as his body heat attacked it feebly.

Trotting over, Bearclaw dropped his haul into the dwindling freshkill pile, flicking his ears in content as he noticed it was relatively full considering winter hushed away a majority of their food source. Soon, they would probably have to begin sending hunting patrols into the Skeleton Gorge. But that was only a last resort. Voices slithered past his frame, seizing the toms attention as he turned and noticed the growing group. Curious, the burn scarred tom lumbered over and seated himself quietly. A training session? It was well needed.

  • //frick I meant to make this private, yet everything about it says open XD I'm sorry that's completely my fault, this is a private thread for Faded, Dream, and Tumble. Really sorry for my moronicness guys XD :D

Dreampaw shrugged. if fadedghost wanted to say he wasn't scared, she'd just go with it. but the grey tom seemed scared, stuttering and hesitant. the orange creamed cat thought for a moment. hunting? "okay, hunting sounds fine," the young apprentice stated. maybe she could become better at tracking- and climbing trees. though, she kinda wanted to learn to fight. what if they were attacked? she would just be useless, flinging herself like a ragdoll. but, the young cat would just go with what ever her stuttering mentor wanted to her go with. "guess my brothers not awake; lets go." she ushered, growing impatient. "speech"

Fadedghost hesitated on leaving without the second apprentice, but he didn't want Dreampaw to get annoyed with him. He lead the way out of camp, trying to think of some good places he and Dusksparks had used to hunt. Their territory was mostly lush forest, with fog and mist almost always hanging over them. Fadedghost pricked his ears at a slight rustling sound, and turned his head to spot a small black bird, hopping amongst the fallen leaves. He flicked his tail to get Dreampaw's attention on it. "Cr-Crouch-ch like th-th-this-s." Fadedghost whispered, dropping into the crouch for demonstration. "Cr-creep f-forw-w-ward-s, an-and p-ounce."
