  • i'd like to point out that alex was born with the cure running through his veins so his blood is the cure to vampirism (it was passed down from his parents to him)

okay also i'm going to make villains for the story so first i'm going to make a vampire named Kenneth Black but he goes by Ken or Kent. i could make a profile for him if you'd like. he looks like this. he's turned off his humanity and he's trying to kill the salvatore brothers. he wants to destroy the cure but he doesn't know which one has it and neither do the brothers. i can't think of a reason he would destroy the cure yet, though, unless he's trying to make sure someone stays a vampire. any ideas?

also what sexuality are your characters? just want to check. i sort of ship lizzie with declan and alex with jayde.

  • hmm, i must've deleted that part from the form by accident! jayde is a (closeted) bisexual/biromantic and declan is an demisexual panromantic. i'll add that to their forms as soon as this posts!

you don't need to go through the hassle of creating a form for him if you don't want to, that's totally fine. and as for destroying the cure, maybe he could be someone sent to turn more humans into vampires (idk why though), and the person who sent him (or maybe by his own will) wants the cure destroyed? i'm not too sure, i'll have to think on that a little bit more!

  • oh okay i can work off of this. maybe a certain group of vampires that originate in in, like, Chicago or something are wanting to usurp humans and become the dominant species. so that they don't have to live in the shadows anymore. and they are, like, trying to build an army but so many vampires are finding out about the cure so they want to become human again. and Big Bad Leader Guy needs as many vampires as he can get on his side so he wants to destroy the cure.

i don't mind making a form for him tbh. also, how should we start? i was thinking at a party, maybe? or at the annual back to school fair? i'm not sure. just a public place where they can all meet.

i'd like to think that josie and jayde are best friends. and maybe henry is really close to declan. we'll have to see.

eventually henry is going to become a vampire and i think josie will become a heretic but i don't think either of them will be planned. alex can't become a vampire because he is the literal cure. should vampire blood be able to heal him or will it reject it? lizzie is just going to stay a siphoner.

and the sisters have necklaces with charms filled with magic so that they can feed off of it. josie has the sun and lizzie has the moon.

  • yeah! that's what i was thinking, but i didn't know how to explain it properly without it sounding too confusing. and since vampire blood didn't heal stefan after bonnie gave him the cure, maybe it should work the same here?

the back to school fair would be good. things could just be going normal until kenneth shows up or something else happens?

i kinda want declan to stay as just a psychic for now, unless i come up with something else. and as for jayde, the world is her oyster. i was thinking she could turn into a vampire at some point, but i'm not quite set on it yet. and i definitely agree, declan/henry and josie/jayde are really good friend pairings, but i assume alex and lizzie are still invloved with everyone, or at least a little bit? i wouldn't want to leave them out completely.

  • yeah i'm sure alex is good friends with declan as well and lizzie, well, she'd be kinda friends with jayde.

yes everything starts out as normal as possible with them being supernatural creatures and all. kenneth will probably show up and try to worm his way into the group so he can figure out which one is the cure or maybe just start out by attacking them. i'm guessing that they are living in mystic falls?

also, who should start us off?

  • The screams of children were an odd concept. It could either mean they were scared or hurt or that they were playing with fellow kids. Though they sounded about the same, one could usually tell the difference.

The screams that filled Josie's ears were coming from children that were chasing each other around the field. Some had balloons in their hands, some had assorted cotton candy. There were slightly older kids who were entering their teen years as well. Most of them stood in packs, a few walked in pairs while holding hands. Then there were the parents who were sweating from the September heat. Their eyes were constantly glued to their offspring in case they were to wander off.

Today was the first Saturday of the school year and the annual fair was taking place.

Josie and Lizzie were handing out flyers for one of the events at the fair.

Lizzie went to a local college to obtain her teaching degree, so she needed to do a few jobs on the side to pay rent and for classes. Her parents helped, of course, but they had their own business to worry about. This meant that Lizzie had to find ways to pay bills.

So here she was passing out flyers for a raffle that was taking place. While she enjoyed being a waitress at The Mystic Grill, it didn't pay as much as she would have liked. This meant she needed the extra cash and these people were willing to give it. All she had to do was pass out pieces of paper to people that walked by.

Josie, being in med school, hardly ever got to see her sister and warmly offered to assist her.

"So I heard your childhood crush Declan is back for the weekend too." Josie said as she shuffled through the flyers in her hands. Josie was a petite girl with ivory skin and tight chocolate curls that matched her eyes. She was wearing a navy blouse and tight jeans with suede boots.

"Shut up." Lizzie snapped at her sister before passing a flyer to a man walking by. Lizzie was much taller than her twin and had longer blonde hair. She was wearing a leather jacket over a tank top with ripped jeans and sneakers.

Neither of the girls wore makeup, not that they needed to. Though they did both have a pendant around their necks. Lizzie had a quartz in the shape of a crescent moon while Josie had one shaped like the sun. They were infused with magic which they fed off of. This way, they could use magic whenever they wanted.

"I think you should go talk to him." Josie said while choosing to ignore her sister's glare. "I'm sure he won't be around for much longer. College starts up again soon, you know." Josie raised a dark eyebrow and tilted her head slightly as she finished speaking.

Lizzie pursed her lips and began to walk away. Josie walked beside her; her dark eyes never leaving her sister.

With a groan, Lizzie brought her blue eyes back toward her sister and told her, "You know why I can't."

Josie placed a hand on her hip and responded with, "No, I don't. All Iv'e heard from you are excuses."

Lizzie opened her mouth to argue, but Josie interrupted her. "Go speak to him."

With a frustrated sigh, Lizzie stopped walking and stood still for a moment. "I doubt he's even at the fair today."

Josie took the flyers from Lizzie's hands and told her, "Well, go find out. I'll keep passing out flyers."

Biting her lip, Lizzie asked, "Are you sure?"
When Josie nodded, Lizzie took in a deep breath and started toward the center of the fair. She had no idea where she would start looking, but Josie wasn't going to let her come back until she had found him.

While Lizzie was off looking for her crush, Josie took her phone out and sent a text to Jayde.

meet me by the raffle booth. liz is walking around.

Alex was walking around the fair grounds with his older brother Henry. He was wearing a faded black t-shirt and torn up jeans per usual. His brother wore a sweatshirt that smelled like cigarettes mixed with cologne.

"Do you see Declan anywhere? He was supposed to meet us by the ferris wheel." Alex asked in a frustrated manner.

Henry just shrugged and took a pack of cigs out of his pocket. Taking one out, he trapped it between his lips and brought his lighter's flame toward the end. Once it caught, he stuffed the lighter back into his pocket with the pack. Placing a finger on each side of the cigarette, he took a long drag and let the smoke blow out of his nose.

"You're no help." Alex chuckled, but it was cut short when he saw a girl from school walk by. Her name was Samantha Meyers, a cheerleader and gymnast.

Veering off course, Alex made a beeline for the girl. "Hey. Samantha, right?" He called out which got her attention. The girl stopped walking and turned toward him. "Yeah." Her voice was high pitched and sounded bored.

"How about we go play Toss It and I win you a stuffed bear?" Alex added a playful smirk at the end which caused Samantha to smile. Twirling a piece of hair around her finger, the girl bit her lip and told him, "I would like a stuffed monkey, actually."

Alex's smile grew as he said, "Got it."

That's when a much larger, more muscular guy walked up and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. Oh yeah. He forgot that she was dating star quarterback Dan Smith.

"Is this guy bothering you?" He asked her which caused Alex's smile to drop.

"He's gonna win me a stuffed monkey." Samantha said with a sweet and innocent smile.

"Is that right?" Dan's hideous face turned toward Alex.

In response, Alex grinned and told him, "I just wanted to show her a good time. You don't mind, right? Buddy?"

Alex then winked at Samantha who giggled in return.

Dan practically growled, so Alex added, "We'll name the monkey after you since I'm sure you both pick at your asses and then sniff your fingers."

    Dan's face was turning red.

    Uh oh.

    Crunch.

Alex stumbled back as Dan's fist connected with his jaw. Once he caught his balance, he rubbed at it with his hand and moved it around. With a short burst of laughter, he told him, "That's all you've got?"

Henry just watched while smoking his cigarette; unfazed by the events taking place.

    //sorry this is shit heh

also i'm going to make a lot of side characters lol//

  • jayde amelia donavan

// don't worry! mine's definitely worse hehe - oh, and the link attached to their names are their outfits, i couldn't be bothered to describe them, it's better to just have a picture lol //

jayde was carelessly wandering the fairgrounds, with no destination in mind or no person to see. she was merely there just because she was told she had to be there. she would be with josie, but she was busy with other things. so, jayde spent her time sitting on picnic tables, benches, basically anywhere she could to just watch everyone else have fun, or at least enjoy themselves. it's strange, normally jayde would be the one to have fun with them, but it seems as though she's hit a rough patch. mainly the struggles and confusion of the future to come. finding a good college that supports her major, actually acing the tests needed to get into said colleges. you'd think she'd have her life planned out by now, just like any other responsible teen getting ready for college, but nope. the pre-school depression had finally set in.

in the middle of her thoughts, she noticed she received a text from josie. replying a quick "okay, i'll be there soon", jayde began wandering to the raffle booth. granted, jayde really didn't know exactly where it was, but judging by the current and past layouts of the fair, it'll be pretty easy to find. on her walk, she decided to make a shortcut through the games. pretty bad timing though, as she immediately saw some familiar faces engaging in a fight. with an annoyed sigh, she knew she had to stop it before anything bad happened. walking over to the group, the faces became familiar. not surprising. pushing the two (very) larger males away as best as she could, jayde looked at both of them with a confused glare. "listen, there's tons of other activities to do here, i don't think knocking the living daylights out of each other is one of them. words from the wise to the weak, i'd recommend you both stop, otherwise those overprotective parents over there will call the cops." she said, looking towards a group of parents behind a few game booths across the makeshift lane. before she knew it, she was being pulled back by the shoulder. declan, who would've thought? taking his advice, jayde decided to leave. but before she left, she looked to alex. "alex, you're definitely going to get yourself killed or seriously hurt someday, just don't make it today." she said, more care in her voice than her statements before.

with that, she sighed and continued on her path to the raffle booth. luckily, it wasn't that far away. spotting josie, jayde's expression immediately brightened and she skipped over to her friend. "hey josie, need some help?" she greeted, taking a portion of the flyers from josie's hands. it was good that jayde had someone like josie in her life. even if jayde was good at making friends, nobody really stayed except for josie and lizzie. everyone came and went just like the seasons, each more cruel than before. josie was also the one she went to when she needed to talk about anything. growing up, jayde only had her older brother and her father. everyone says 'family knows best', but sometimes, family isn't the best to discuss certain things with, and luckily josie was always there for jayde whenever she needed. and likewise, jayde always made sure she was there for josie.

    declan mitchell bennett

it wasn't strange being back home. somehow, it's like nothing changed, maybe that was true? deep down, declan knew that wasn't true. things always change. and in a place like mystic falls, changes come and go faster than the blink of an eye. luckily, the changes were minimal in comparison to what bonnie told him mystic falls used to be like. crazy things were always happening, especially when you were involved in the supernatural. but luckily for declan, he got the opportunity to get out after he graduated. studying music production at a college a few cities away, declan was happy to be able to get away from mystic falls, even though he wasn't around when all the supernatural situations began happening. but somehow, he always felt himself getting dragged back; or wanting to be dragged back. maybe he was homesick, or maybe a huge piece of his puzzle was missing and his instinct was telling him to go back home. everyone knows that your instincts never lie.

declan had his hands shoved in his jacket pockets, getting a good look at his surroundings with a grin. finally, he was back home. and this time, for a good amount of time. because none of the classes he needed to take were available this semester, he decided to wait until next semester to take his classes. now, he's got time to spare. well, as much time as his job at the local music shop would allow him. for someone who had somewhere to be, he was walking like with a snail's pace. he knew he had to meet the salvatore brothers, but he definitely had to get a good look at the town he's been away from for so long.

somehow, something didn't feel right to declan. something was wrong. without hesitation, his nosy side took control and he began to look around for any trouble. it didn't take long to spot it, typical. although, what caught his eye wasn't the fighters, but the one trying to stop the fight. little jayde donavan, who's not even three-fourths the size of either of those boys, trying to stop a fist fight? declan wasn't the world's smartest, but he wasn't an idiot. he knew they wouldn't listen to her. quickly, declan walked over to the group, shaking his hands out of his pockets. "okay there, small fry," declan said, grabbing jayde's left shoulder and gently pulling her away from the group. "i'll take it from here. you shouldn't be involved in things like this." he added. surprisingly, she left without question, allowing declan to focus on the two boys in front of him. "now, what happens to be the problem here?" declan asked, using his older age and maturity as an advantage towards the two younger males. they might be rebellious teens, but they definitely should've been raised to treat those older than them with respect.

  • //i'm actually pretty excited for this thread. i have so many plans! lol

also i'm ready for so many love triangles but, for now, alex likes jayde and lizzie likes declan//

When Josie noticed Jayde approach, her face lit up like a Christmas tree. Lizzie was her sister and would always be blood, but Jayde was her best friend and was also family.

All of them, the boys included, grew up together. Since their parents were friends growing up that meant the rest of them were destined to be best friends. The boys and girls usually stayed separate, though, but they always found their way back to each other.

When Jayde grabbed some flyers, Josie offered a small smile of gratitude. "We only have, like, twenty more minutes. Then we can go enjoy the fair."

Checking her phone, Josie realized that it was a quarter past six which meant it'd be getting dark soon. She had to admit, she always did love watching the town light up. She missed Mystic Falls, even though she was only a town over from it now.

"I think you should win me a goldfish." Josie giggled before adding, "Plus, I'm starving. And the funnel cakes look absolutely scrumptious."

Lizzie was wandering around the fair when she noticed some familiar faces over by the ferris wheel. And, standing between Alex and some jock, was Declan. Her crush since high school. She had never admitted it to anyone except Josie and Jayde, and she had never acted on it, but today... Might just be the day. Taking in a deep breath and letting it out slow, she began walking toward him.

She had just reached them when she noticed the bruise on Alex's face. Of course. It was just like him to start a fight and for Declan to finish it.

Henry glanced over at Lizzie who stood near him and blew smoke out from between his lips. "They're big boys. They can handle themselves." He told her once he saw the concerned look on her face. He then brought his blue eyes back toward the group in front of him. Taking another drag, he finished his cig and flicked it onto the ground. Stomping on it with his shoe, he crushed it into the cement like it was his worst enemy. He then fixed his combed back brown hair that was beginning to fall out of place.

Alex was about to throw a punch when Jayde, of all people, interrupted them. He didn't want her to get hurt, so he lowered his fist for the time being. That didn't stop him from throwing glares at the jock, though. Dan threw them right back while Samantha shot daggers at Jayde for ruining all of her fun.

He was about to tell Jayde to stay out of it, but Declan did it for him.

When he heard Declan use his "grown up" voice, it just pissed him off even more. "It doesn't matter anymore." Alex then flipped the jock the bird before walking back toward his brother.

Henry didn't say anything. Instead, he took a bottle of pain pills out of his sweatshirt and tossed them toward Alex. Alex caught them and popped one in his mouth.

"Hey Liz." He said after he swallowed the pill. His messy russet hair was falling into his blue eyes and a bruise was blossoming on his jaw now.

  • jayde amelia donavan

// i'm excited for this too! btw, i'm sorry if this seems a little short, i'm out of town with my family so i'm on mobile until tomorrow! //

jayde laughed along with josie, agreeing to her suggestions."only being able to smell them seems like torture. plus, have you really ever been to a fair if you didn't have a funnel cake? it's practically mandatory." she said, handing out the flyers in her hands.

in the corner of her eye, she could still see the salvatore brothers, and now declan and lizzie with them. jayde's expression immediately changed from happy to concerned as she was deep in thought. before josie could get worried about her sudden attitude change, jayde spoke up. "alex got into another fight again." she crossed her arms over her chest, almost like she was hugging the stack of flyers. "i mean, i tried to stop them, but who knows how much good that does. i'm just worried about him, you know?." jayde told josie, constantly shifting her weight from one side to the other. it was a subtle nervous habit of hers.

    declan mitchell bennett

as soon as alex walked off, declan motioned for the two remaining to leave already before following the younger teen. "she's right alex, you're going to get yourself killed if you keep this whole thing up." he stopped in his tracks once he got a look at everyone in the small group that just formed. henry and alex, he was okay with. he was almost completely surprised to see lizzie, until he remember that he was the one who left, and they stayed here. back in his high school days, him, josie, and lizzie were really good friends. this was mainly because of their parents' bond and friendship. along with the younger salvatore brothers and jayde, they all grew up together. it became normal for them to see each other so much, of course they'd be extremely good friends.

shaking his head, he finally walked up to the group and joined their makeshift circle. "hey henry, hey lizzie." he greeted, trying to recover from his sudden loss of thought.

  • //its totally fine!! i'm actually going on a trip on thursday, i believe, and will be gone for four days. i'm not sure if i'll be able to bring my laptop or not though.//

Josie giggled and told her, "You're right. It is mandatory." Her laughing stopped, though, when she noticed the concerned expression on Jayde's face.

"Don't mind him. He's just going through his rebellious teenager phase. He'll figure it out on his own one day." Josie placed a hand on Jayde's shoulder and told her, "Its not your job to worry about him."

After watching her nervous ticks, Josie had an idea to make her feel better. "You know what? I'm going to get us those funnel cakes now." A large smile appeared on her face as she took the flyers from her best friend. "I'm also going to take these back to the booth. I'll be right back."

With that, she turned and headed toward the raffle booth. As she waited in line, she noticed a man slightly older than her staring in her direction. Shifting uncomfortably, she waited for him to look away, but he didn't. In defiance, she decided to stare right back.

He was attractive, she had to admit. He had ginger curls, pale green eyes, and he was very lean. He wore a band t-shirt and torn up jeans.

    "Ma'm?"

Looking away from him, Josie realized it was her turn in line.

After handing the flyers back, she turned to look back toward the man, but he was gone.
Letting out a breath, she moved to walk toward the funnel cake stand only to bump right into someone.

    "Oh, I'm sor-"

Glancing up, she saw that it was the man from before.

Before she could react, he looked into her eyes and said, "Come with me."

In an instant, Josie felt herself relax as well as the need to follow him wherever he went.

As soon as he walked away, Josie was right behind him. It felt like she was in a dream, like this wasn't reality.

She had completely forgotten about the funnel cakes.

When Declan walked up to Lizzie, her breathing hitched. Her first instinct was to turn and walk away before she could fuck up, but she knew that it would be rude if she just left. So, instead, she brought her attention back toward Alex.

"Do you need me to get you some ice?" She asked, reaching out to touch his jaw.

Alex flinched which made Lizzie draw back.

"I'll be fine." He snapped as he handed the pill bottle back to Henry who was standing there quietly the whole time.

Lizzie scrunched up her eyebrows and told him, "I'm just trying to help."

Alex grunted and pushed the hair back from his face. "Yeah, well, I don't need your help."

After blinking furiously at him for a moment, she shouted, "Fine!" and turned to stomp off.

Jeez, why was he being such a jerk? She didn't know why she bothered.

Alex shrugged as she turned away from him, not at all bothered.

  • jayde amelia donavan

josie's reassurance really began to help jayde relax, and she knew she was right. it was just a phase and it's nothing to be concerned about. why was she concerned anyways? sure, they've grown up together, but they've learned to let everyone fight their own battles, metaphorically and literally. even then, jayde hasn't been the type of person to put herself in the middle of two larger males to stop a fight.

after the flyers were taken from jayde's hands, the teen froze in confusion, still not processing what josie was saying. but as soon as she understood and went to follow, josie had already left and was gone. jayde instantly began looking around, trying to figure out which way her friend went. her brain told her to follow where everyone else went, so that's where she went. unfortunately, there was no sign of josie. so, jayde began checking any possible place. she roamed the rides, the food stands, and anywhere in between. but, there were still no signs of josie. curiosity started to get the best of her. what happened? is she okay? of course she's fine it's only a fair, nothing could go wrong, right?

as jayde was lost in thought, she stood in one of the open areas, looking down the rows of food stands, hoping to find her friend's familiar face or hair. by now, worry was certainly starting to settle in. it's like jayde was a lost puppy who couldn't find her way back home. surely josie would've shown up by now, but it's like she left without a trace. after failing to find josie, she began looking around her surroundings, trying to find any familiar faces that could help her find josie.

as lizzie walked off, declan watched her, confused. "wha..." he started, but trailed off, unsure of what to say. he obviously didn't know what to say, so he changed the topic. "not that i'm trying to be in a rush, but why did you guys want to meet me here? is something going on... or any... special occasions?" he questioned the brothers, using a more laid back tone. it wasn't necessarily a surprise that the boys told him to meet them here, but it surely was peculiar. a normal meeting spot for the boys would be at either of their houses, since those are the easiest to locate and anything can be freely discussed. whereas at a fair, if any wrong words get said around the wrong people, bad things seem to happen.

while he was talking to the brothers, his gaze wandered throughout the area, like he's never seen it before. even though the booths were the same, the rides were the same, and practically everything was just as it was the past few years, something about the fair seemed new to him. maybe it was the fact that he's been gone for the past year.

while looking through the space between two stands, his eyes seemed to lock onto something in the distance. a familiar face, but a concerning expression. "i-is she okay..." he said, squinting to get a better look at jayde, or to see what she was looking for. was she lost? surely not. it is like her to get lost, but not in just a familiar place. something must be going on.

  • //okay so before i make another post. my plan was that ken could kidnap josie to make them tell him who the cure was or else he'd hurt/kill her so yeah. does that sound good? just double checking.//
