    *now I accept all sexualities, but males can't have pups with males and vise Versa. Its not realistic, sorry!

    *No one liners! Please try to have 3 sentences! High ranks must be able to write 1-2 paragraphs.

    *Everyhing must be written in 3rd person Ex. "Bird was hurt by his words..." not: "I jumped high into the sky"

    *Keep Genders even

    *No picking on others, fighting, or OC Drama. It won't be tolerated and will result in a verbal warning, and may lead to you being banned.

    *code word is your favorite color

    *Names can be anything you'd like

    *Ranks are first come first serve; except Alpha female.

    *You cannot be your own mate.

    *Dont Be exaggerating when you post! Your wolf can’t break its leg from a tap, or a trip!

    *Thread is PG13. No cussing, no mating scenes.


    || Ic Rules ||

    *Alphas word is law

    *Betas do not have to be mates. But if they take on a mate of a different rank. That mate has the right to challenge the reigning beta for the position.

    *Shamans may never have mates or pups

    *Everyone eats in this order: Alpha, Beta, mothers/pups, Shaman, deltas, Learners, Omegas, etc.

    *Any rank may be challenged

    *Ranks are chosen as pups, some will be higher ranks and the others will be lower ranks. Plenty to choose from. This does include the alphas pups. One is chosen to be the next alpha and the rest are made omegas, deltas, bannished, or even killed if the pose a threat of challenging the heir.(but the heir must kill his or hers siblings).

    +Mates must be accepted by thealpha.


    High Rankings:



    Alpha (2) - Usually there are two within a pack, although sometimes there is only one. However there can only be one of each gender holding this position. They are normally the active mating pair. They are dominant over all the rest of the pack and what they say should be considered law within their pack. They take an interest in what goes on in their pack and if they've been away for any length of time look to the Beta to learn of what goes on in the pack. (Leaders)



    Beta (1-2) - There may be one or two in a pack, one of each gender. They may or may not be mates and are second in command. When neither alpha are around they take charge as it is the responsibility that falls to them. The Beta is there in order to test the Alpha in skirmishes which are never truly serious and results in little to no damage of either creature. Although there may come a time when the challange is serious. (Second in Command)



    Gamma (1-2) - Those holding this position are usually if not always the oldest and wisest of the pack. Through their stories and their phrases they pass on to the others within the pack their wisdoms. They delight in telling stories to pups though sometimes what they tell is just legend, but still each story usually has some sort of moral to it. At one time they may have been the Alpha and usually that is true. However the current Alphas may put others here should it seem right to them. There is usually only one or two who fill this position and normally only one of each gender, especially if they were a prior Alpha pair. Those who hold this position are much respected and loved by the rest of the pack. (Elders)



    Delta (1-4) - They are the messangers of the pack, the go between among the allies and sometimes even harsh packs. They risk their own lives by doing so, but it is their duty and must make sure that those who need to know are told. Sometimes they work in conjunction with the alpha. Those who seek this position must be agile, patient and have an even temperment while speaking with other packs.



    Male delta-The war general of the pack. They take direct orders from the Alpha in case of a war. The Alpha may be the one to declare war, but thebeta leads the army and plan the plans for war. They also train new recruits for position as betaand bEta or more to take his or her place in future. Normally there is only a single beta, but if the populace is high there can be as many as three. (War General)



    Hunters(2-8) - There are at least two in a pack. The Eta are the warriors of the pack. They are led by the Zeta or the epsy during skirmishes and wars. Although they will take orders from the Alpha or other higher ranks if given, but the Alpha's above all. (Warriors)



    Shaman (1) - They are the lead medics within the pack, therefore it is they that the Iota aspire to be. (Lead Medic)



    Shaman learner (1-2) - They are the medics of the pack, knowledgable in herbology. They have vast knowledge upon what plants and other natural resources will help cure and heal others.


    Hunters- They are the lead hunters in the pack. Normall there is only one, though sometimes there are two depending upon how large the pack is. They lead the packs hunts when the Alpha or the Beta when substituting tell them to. They make sure that the entire pack is well fed and will not starve. They oversee as well, that the pack will have a well balanced diet.(Hunters)






    Mid Rankings



    Omegga leader (1) - They are the peace keeper of the pack, using mediation between those who're angry with one another. The Alpha may take them with them to speak with another pack over starting a treaty. They make sure that no serious fights break out within their own pack. They may at times also work with the Delta, Zeta or Upsilon. (Peace Keeper)



    Scouts (1-6) - They are the sentries of the pack. Their duty is to keep track of natural resources, finding dens and areas of abundant food for the pack. They also must keep watch of the pack making sure to call the Epsy, Delta. (Sentries)



    Caregiver (1-2) - Their main duty is to keep an eye on their resources such as water supplies and potential den areas. They may at times even assist the hunters. Should an unwelcome visitor infiltrate the packs territory they are able to call upon the Gaurdians/Epsilon. (Resource Watchers)






    Upsilon (1-4) - The Upsilon are the scouts or spies of the pack. They go into other pack territories in order to find out what's going on. Afterwards they report back to the Alpha and tell them about all that they have seen, even should it just be that pups have been born. They will also report to the Zeta if they were asked to find wolves of their own for battle, or they report to the Alpha pair. (Scouts/Spies).


    Lower Rankings

    Pup Sitters(1) - They are the pup sitters of the pack and delight in teaching the young that which they will need in the future. However if a pup gets lost or hurt they are hold accountable should the pup have been under their care at that time. (Pup-sitter)




    Psi (Unlimited) - These are the subordinates of the pack. Usually new memebers or yearling wolves start here and must prove themselves before they are given a better ranking. However they need to be careful and achieve a higher ranking least they become the Omega. (Subordinate)



    Omega (1) - They are the scape goats of a pack. Often they are picked on by the other wolves and are last to eat. Sometimes things may become so bad that they might even up and leave the pack, though there are those who remain to stick it out. (Lowest Rank)



    PUP:




    Pup     - They are the young usually born into the pack under the age of one. Depending upon morality and the attitude of a pack as well as the food that is aviable the number of pups in any pack may vary.

    Amoraq looks up at the night sky and howls for the meeting of the pack. The second night of his reign, the fight with his father for the pack had lasted for three days. Until he had given up alpha to him. He had trained years under his father being tormented and ridiculed for what was thought of as weak. He had been the runt in the litter, the only one to survive the brutal birth that almost killed his mother. He had been born only slightly small. The old shaman she wolf had told him the stories of his birth. But this time he had finally won against his father. The pack had dwindled down to only a few wolves. But as he joyously howls his victory, his father slinks away with his tail tucked in defeat. Soon he would die of starvation, while his son took over. Amuraq had worked up the totem pole for the right to fight his father. Having won he was inflated with pride for his pack. He would lead them to the future they deserved.

    Ainu heard the howl and made her way to the source, she had not been far away. "You beat him?" She asked as she stepped onto the smooth stone surface that made up the group of the fighting area. She had hoped Amoraq would win, as she was not looking forward to the upcoming mating season with the other male, who was known to be tater rough.

    Matuk perked his ears at the sound and got up from where he lay, looking lazily to the source; he was in no hurry.

    Razka heard the sound and rushed toward it, excited to see who had won, her tail wagging as she slowed, her paws moving her over the warm stone, around the fresh blood. She smiled as she wagged her tail with such a force that her back end wiggled about, her head lowered.

    Amaraq smiles and cuddles her to him. "yes my sweet love." Amaraq howls his victory and proclaims his right of being alpha. He had finally defeated him. The scourge of the pack was beaten and as he held his head high, he sang his victory. "Come my pack! We shall sing our victory threw the long night to our ancestors! We call apoun them to look upon us with favor and see our faith in them!" He tilted his head even more and as the pack gathers he put can feel the adoration due him. He had saved the pack from the death they had faced. The old alpha male had killed off last year's yearlings. They hadn't been strong enough to outwit the old alpha who had set too high a rule on the admittance to the ranks. They all had stayed omegga's and had been beaten down by the old alpha because of there rank. Amuraq would change this, no longer would it be hard to get up the rank ladder. He would see to it every wolf got a chance to shine. Every wolf would have a rank. He decides to call a meeting right there and tell all that the old rules were changing with his leadership.

    Ainu smiled and listened, staying near Amoraq. She watched their pack gather to listen to the new alpha's proclamation.

    Matuk arrived as the new, young alpha gave his first speech. He waited until he was done barking to approach the new leader. He smiled, being familiar with Amoraq. "You will have to share the details of the match with those of us so unprivileged to not have the appropriate rank to have seen it with our own eyes." He says, referencing the previous alpha's law that stated only betas and the shaman where allowed to watch the fights.

    Razka listened from a polite distance at first, tail still wagging excitedly. "Yeah, please share! Matuk and the other hunters and I caught four deer and two rabbits! It's going to be a great feast!"

    The Shaman had awoken early this morning. After he did his morning routine he went about checking his stock. He noticed that he need a few herbs and so he set out to gather a few. It didn’t take too terribly long to get what he needed and once again he was bouncing back to his den. After putting his stuff away Casimir made his way out of the den, gaze drifting around the camp.

    Amaraq padded forth looking apoun his pack mates. "Gather all that hunt, all that can howl under the lunar moon! A pack gathering will commence!" I call out and hear the padding of paws. "All that have been tortured by my father's rule. Shall be ashamed no more! All will have a fair chance to move up in positions!" I call as the packs frame of mind starts to change. "No longer will you have to groval to the dirt. No longer will any pack member go hungry. We shall become one!"

    A small northern wolf's head lifted slightly at the sounds of the howls and voices with different tones and emotions. A small sigh dropped from the female's mouth, her soft but guarded silver eyes following the wolves as they reacted to the news of their new leader, their beaten old Alpha and their young new Alpha. At the young male's speech of ridding the pack of its heavy history of unfairness and unbalanced rank-system, a genuine, small smile formed on the quiet wolf's mouth, the small northern-blooded - and pelted, with her iconic white thick northern coat - got on to her paws and followed the rest as they headed towards the new Alpha. She had not been unfamiliar with the consequences of her low rank. She had been weak and frail when she joined, hence her low rank. She had previously been an omega, but managed to get the rank of peacekeeper, due to her ability to reason with wolves and avoid the aggression she had grown to fear and loathe. Yet, that was still a low rank, and she was still small of build, so she had often gone without food. Sadly, this wasn't uncommon for the peacekeeper, as she had spent two years of her life in captivity, starved, stared at and exploited daily by humans, poked and prodded, beaten and stabbed countless times with scalpels and needles. She'd been reduced to nothing over the course of the those two years, but now she was here, healthier but still plagued by old memories and terrors, and still quite small in structure.


    "Congratulations, Alpha. I have no doubt your reign will be lead by fairness and patience, yet fierce protectiveness. I can already tell you care more about us than your father." Ari's voice was low and soft as she dared speak up after the male had finished his words, her silver gaze patient and calm, glowing with nothing but honesty and appreciation. Her northern blood didn't only show by her thick, white coat, but also an accent lacing her words, as well as her appearance with a fluffier tail, shorter muzzle and smaller ears to preserve more heat. This foreign blood had also been a reason for more cruel wolves of the pack to pick at the small female, something she was affected by, yes, but had sadly learned to ignore over time.

    amaraq decided to move threw his pack members. Acknowledging each one individually, he pads threw and motions for everyone to follow. "Every wolf will have a chance at advancement and I have chosen your new alpha female as well."

    Casimir’s gaze danced over to Amaraq when he called the pack over. The Shaman pushed himself up from where he had been sat and made his way over, wondering what the leader had to say. The wolf settled down onto haunches, off to the side, once he had reached the gathering wolves.
