Plotting Thread: We're All Different [Plotting || Super Human Thread]

Announcements: NEW! There is now a plotting thread!

  • Coraline sighed defeatedly. Another pair of gem earrings wasted. They had overgrown during the night, and she couldn't wear them any longer. They were some of her favorites, too!

Nonetheless, she headed out in a lavender hoodie, blue jeans, and black converse knee high boots, ready to tackle any part of the day with optimism, excitement, and (most likely) lots and lots of talking, despite her shyness.

  • "Shit, shit, shit," shit, "Shit!"

    She fell.

Jade Olsen. Someone who's ridden a skateboard for as long as she could walk, fell. And it was a bad fall.

A pebble got stuck between one of the wheels, sliding her far off the board and down a hill. Luckily, she ended up on the grass instead of the middle of the road, but maybe lucky wasn't the right word, since there was a ton of blood dripping from her elbow.

Getting up, Jade paced and cursed a bit more until she finally took a deep breath, grabbed her board, and headed to the nearest public place with a bathroom. This happened to be a fancy restaurant.

She asked the worker at the front if she could clean up in the bathroom and he politely allowed when he noticed her bleeding, but that didn't mean she didn't get stared at. She was out of place, all covered in dirt, wearing not-so-fancy clothes.

After cleaning up as best she could, Jade heading back out, thanking the worker.

Man, I need a smoke. was all she could think as she headed towards a park nearby.

  • Haze lifted the hood on her black hoodie to cover her face, her cat whiskers elegantly drawn onto her face once more. She stepped out onto the street, being careful not to attract too much attention to herself. The crimson haired female slunk through the shadows, disliking strong sunlight.

  • It was a very public area and Leland could hear the overwhelming thoughts of those around her. She had come from a small town of maybe three hundred people. She just needed the phone. The phone, dammit.

Her hands were shaking, her hair was disheveled and she was close to tears. She pulled whatever change she had and shoved it in the slot. She dialed her mothers phone as quickly as she could. Ring. Ring. Ring. This is Pamela Montgomery, I’m sorry I can’t get to phone right now. Leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

“Uh-mom, it’s uh Leland. I just wanted-“ She couldn’t stop the tears.” I miss you and I wanna come home-I’m I’m scared-I-you won’t even know I’m there! Please mom-mommy please.” She cried. She wiped at her eyes before hanging up.

Hoping her mother would call back, Leland took a seat at the base of the pay phone and hid her face in her knees. She knew she looked like a bum but she could careless what others thought. Her caretakers would be here any minute with severe punishments but she just wanted out.

Leland looked to her left and rounding the corner was a buff man with a earpiece and a very unhappy look on his face. Her hand snaked around her necklace in the shape of a cross and scurried up.

Panic was rising and Leland dashed across the street, narrowly missing a car. She didn’t bother to stop, instead cutting through a park with her caretaker in tow.

  • Reaching the park, Jade decided to head further into it, towards the more forest-like areas, before pulling a lighter and joint from her back pocket. Sitting on a tree stump nearby, Jade lit the rolled paper.

After just one inhale, Jade completely lost her posture, slouching forward, leaning on her knees. Her elbow was still bleeding a bit, but she tried not to focus on the pain too much. She took a few more puffs, and before she knew it, there was nothing left of the joint.

Pulling out a nearly empty glass Coca-Cola bottle from her backpack, Jade decided to practice her powers.

She ripped the plastic label off the bottle before gripping it tight in her hand. Jade changed the bottles shape to a circle, then back to it's original form, then a square, then back, and she continued, until she felt like she had a flow going. After about a minute she pushed her arm towards a tree, turning the bottle into multiple shards that stuck out from the bark, still dripping some coke, before she grunting in pain, grabbing her elbow with her other hand.

She forgot her elbow still hurt when she moved it, and now she was in immense pain. Sticking her hand out, the shard flew back towards her, before forming back into it's original shape.

She tossed it in her backpack before getting up, still grunting. Slinging her backpack over her shoulder, she hopped on her board the second she found a cement-filled path, rushing to find something the get her mind off the pain. The smell of the smoke followed her around and she rode through the park, causing some people to stare and whisper as she road by.

  • Leland was in a full out sprint, jumping over a hedge and rushing past some cyclist and knocking them off course. She tripped herself, her hands skidding to stop the worse of the fall with little pay off. Struggling to get back up, Leland looked over shoulder to see where her caretaker stood. She began running before she could even comprehend where she was going.

Leland’s first step was into the path of a lone skater.

  • The wind seemed to blow around Marabeth,Sighing she walked on hoping her baby brother Buddy was sitll safe at te home shed left him in.Shed left him with some super Sympathizers. She hadnt wanted ot do it but her brothers powers were to great a risk. After all Being able to open holes to get places easil was far to risky a power to have following her. Her power was dangerous as well, but shed learned to never use it unless she neded to . She walked on and sure enough finds Leland and a skater . She walked over and smiles waving"Hello, Nice to meet y'all My names Maarabeth, but feel free to call me ledonna if ya like,"

  • "Woah!" Jade shouted, coming to an abrupt stop that almost had her falling off her board for a second time today, "Watch it." she said, defensively, before popping her board off the ground and actually looking up at the girl. She didn't look much younger than Jade, and she seemed flustered.

Jade readjusted herself and her attitude, "You alright?" she asked, "Why're you in such a rush?" she asked. She had more questions than she could get out, but she held herself back due to the girls worried expression.

If Jade looked further past the girl, she could see a figure, running towards them. He looked very professional and uptight, which gave Jade a hint of why the girl was running. With no further explanation needed, Jade grabbed the girls arm, quickly stating "Come on," before running back through the forest-area, to where she was hanging out before. A few weird turns later and Jade finally began to slow her fast pace to a stop, placing her hands on her knees, out of breath. "You in some kind of trouble?" she questions, "You don't look like the kind to start any."

  • Marabeth notices that these people are running and she follows figuring they might be running for the same reason. She with a bit of effort on her part produces a wall hoping to stop the other but at hte cost of her looking human. Itd been her biggest thing in awhile and her body couldnt handle it. She tries her best to stay steady, to not fall but her body was a mess. She trips over herself while trying to keep her ears from flopping into her face. A few minutes later , she's dusted herself off and is back to following them.

  • Leland was left breathless, and from the moment her hazel eyes met Jade’s she was searching her mind. Door is closed. Close the door. Get out of her head. She reminded herself, her chest constricting as she struggled for breath, “I am so sorry!” She squeaked back quickly. Her voice was still shaky so she inhaled sharply. Leland was many things, but a liar she was not.

She had already caused a stir, and this girl obviously wasn’t going to accept a lie. “I uh-I’m not supposed to tell you-but-uh I really don’t wanna go back with them. They aren’t...” Who was she to judge someone? “I can’t call the police and I-I really appreciate you getting me out of there. I don’t wanna get you involved-“ She was rambling, but Leland couldn’t careless. She just wanted to go home.

Malika was pissed. This was the second time her boyfriend had forgotten about their date and she was more than annoyed. Taking out a flask from her pocket, Malika shamelessly poured a bit of clear liquid into her black coffee and stirred. Before putting it back in her purse, Malika took a quick swig.

She wasn’t an alcoholic but her barely there boyfriend sure made her feel like one.

Sipping on the caffeinated beverage in the almost empty cafe, Malika leaned back in her seat to look at a text from her kid brother.

  • Marabeth notices the pair"I can help if you need it Im prety good at getting away from people I mean espcially a moment ago I understand about being on the run miss,I'm no crook Im a good honnest person But Im to well liked becuase im well different." Her smile was warm and caring and she seemed to exude a warmth about her even as a humaniod rabbit almost as if she was more human than rabbit. the rabbit only being a physical trait.

  • Lin, sipping coffee, glanced at Malika out of the corner of his eye and saw the flask and felt something all-too-familiar. He didn't want to get too invasive. However, she seemed sad. He sensed it quite well. He felt like he had to help her, somehow. But he didn't want so seem weird. You just have to go for it, he told himself, and with some hesitance, got to his feet, and walked over towards her. He had a coffee too, which was, admittedly, a pumpkin spice latte, since even though he was a latino bisexual man he was a basic white girl at heart. "Hey," he asked, gently. "You doing okay?"

Orchid was wrapped up in a warm coat. She didn't like the cold much-- killed plants, killed her vibe. She decided to head to the park, just to be around nature, so she didn't feel vaguely ill due to the amount of dead plants around her. She walked through the part, glancing up as she noticed a small group of girls, most looking like high schoolers or something, gathered in a circle. She hesitated. They seemed worried about something or other. The smallest one especially sounded kind of panicked. She looked around, trying to see some sort of source of danger. She decided not to leave the area, just in case.

  • "Hey, hey, hey" Jade said, leaning on her skateboard, "calm down, whatever it is, I'm sure I've done worse." she laughed, readjusting the straps of her backpack, "I thought that was the police," she continued, trying to think of what to say to calm to girl down.

"Whatever it is, I won't judge." Jade said, as she began leading the way back out of the forest. When they finally reached a sidewalk, Jade mindlessly pulled out her phone to check on it

2 new messages - from Cody

8:54 am - Dude, where are you? Class is about to start

9:11 am - You alright??? Where are you!

I forgot. "Shit" Jade said, scratching the back of her head before putting her phone away and looking back up at the girl, "Think you could walk a little faster?" she asked, not really asking, beginning to take the pace of a light jog as she changed their direction to head towards her university. It must've slipped her mind when she fell this morning.

  • Martin walked down the street, his hands in his pockets and his gait steady and nonchalant. Ever since he retired from the police his days had been filled with nothing but boring walks and going to get coffee by himself in one rather small coffee shop by his new workplace, a small security gig at a museum one of those whit collared jobs, easy work for someone like him, just walking around enjoying the art and looking intimidating. That was after all what he was good at doing. This would be his breakfast before he went into work. And yeah, he knew Coffee and a scone wasn't the best, but it was what he could do.

He entered into the small shop and noticed two people talking in the middle and something sort of set him off about the situation, a curiosity maybe. He adjusted his uniform slightly, somewhat because he wanted to look his best, subconsciously because that girl was very nice looking to him. He went absently up to the counter to order his drink, and then walked over to the two of them, or rather the table right next to them and set down his stuff and looked over, Watching with piqued interest.

Kathrine Wheeled onto campus, her backpack on the back of her wheelchair and her mind racing as she dodged between bodies all towering over her, both because of her slight shortness of stature, and the fact that she was sitting in a wheel chair. She wore a skirt to cover the stubs of her legs, and up top she wore a normal grey hoodie and looked like she just woke up an hour ago, which she had, and barely had time to shower herself before making her way out the door.

It was now just bout time for the first class of the day to start at the university (A small community college type deal, but a little more than that.) Kathrine had to make it to where she need to be so she picked up her speed a little bit, trying to not run over someone's foot or something.

  • Malika glanced up, she wasn’t the friendliest of people and her initial belief was that this man was going to hit on her. Though when he asked if she was okay she realized she must have looked mopey. “Oh I’m fine,” She replied. “Ah, thanks for asking.” She offered him a seat at her small round table. “What gave it away?” She asked her eyebrows raised in question.

Her black eyes fell on the man walking in. She had seen him before, a regular here.

She set her coffee mug down, the burning sensation lingering in her throat comfortably. Her jacket made it hard to tell she was missing an arm.

“I forgot.” To Leland, Jade’s thoughts were very loud. Leland hadn’t even realized the girl didn’t speak about class. “If your gonna be late to class don’t worry about me, I-I’m good from here.” She replied keeping pace, though some part of her desperately hoped she wouldn’t be left alone again. Though, she couldn’t ignore that would have to leave at some point.

  • Lin realized he wasn't entirely sure what to say, but, well, he'd gotten this far. He lowered his voice. "I... well, I saw you put that flask away," he said. He didn't mention that he sensed her disappointment, because that would expose that he had powers. "I just... well, I'm not judging, but that was me a few years ago, and it got pretty... pretty bad." He lowered his voice even more, because he got the sense that someone was watching them, listening in, and he preferred to consent to which strangers he revealed his whole life story to. He glanced to the side, saw a guy watching them, and narrowed his eyes. With a little bit of effort, he tried to give Martin some disinterest. In his mind, he tried to feel apathy, and transferred it to Martin. Hopefully that would stop him. "So I just wanted to know if you were doing alright."

Orchid, although she'd love to stay here and keep an eye on the two young girls, realized she had to get to class, too. That's where she was heading originally before she decided to take the scenic route through the garden. She started making her way towards her university campus, despite a bit of reluctance.

  • (Ohh that's awesome, I'm gonna have more character thoughts for your characters powers!!)

''Don't be ridiculous" Jade grabbed the girls hand, forcing her to continue walking, "Just tell me on the way. If you're not gonna do that, then I wont go to class, my grades will get lower, I'll fail my midterm, and you'll be responsible for when I get kicked out of college." she half-joked, "Why don't you just answer my questions? Would that make it easier?"

Before even giving the girl a chance to answer, she asked, "Who was that guy?" he seemed like security, or a body guard or something. Maybe she's famous. No, that's ridiculous, "What'd you do that he's chasing you?"

The two were halfway to the campus, and with every step, their pace would get quicker. The front doors to the main building were in sight, and Jade was only; she checked the time- 9:34

Over half an hour late? Jade wiped the sweat on her eyebrows. She'd been late one too many times.
