  • Damien didn't move from the punch to his chest, and instead raised his hands defenselessly as he laughed at her flustered anger. The blow made him let out an "oof!" But it wasn't as bad as it could've been. The black tail swayed behind his legs in an amused manner as he watched her walk out. He couldn't shake the wicked grin off his face as he saw her disappear down the hall. Looking back at Gri in response he purred coyly, "Do you think she'll miss me?"

He made sure he got all of his secret possessions from the room, knowing he wouldn't be able to come back to it again. This included remedies, potions and few knives of different shapes. He packed them inside the accessory pockets to allow Gri more space in the main zipper. "Alright, what do you say we try to get breakfast hopefully without any interruptions this time." However, we're going to have to avoid the hunters.

Damien looked down the hallway to see if the coast was clear before he began walking towards the office to leave through the storage room. Gabriel, met up with him to speak hastily. "What was that all about? You're not using my motel to bang chicks or break up with them are you?"

The dark haired man silent placed the motel keys in Gabe's hand before he nodded him ado. "I have to go before things start catching up to me. Thank you for all of your wonderful service Gabriel, but this is the last you'll see of me."

The Latino sighed, unsure if he was relieved or saddened. "Take care of yourself, Damien." Sending him a solute, the demon walked out through the doors and began making a beeline to the bus station.

    --------

As Beth came out of the motel there was one of the men from her team running over. "Beth! Jesus, what happened to you?! We've been trying to communicate with you on the radio." The man, who's name was Noah observed the blood staining her shirt with wide eyes. "We need to get you to someone medical attention!" Barking for a med team make their way to the town on the walkie talkies he could hear there had been some minor interference, but it was only temporary. "Weird... We shouldn't be having problems with these." Looking back at her he asked. "How did you get out of the robbery? I heard from street chatter that all but one died. That wasn't you was it?"

The familiar taking appearance of a doberman began sniffing Beth with great interest, especially on her wound. "She got close to him." the rough broken voice growled satanically. With a fresher source of his scent the dog tugged on it's leash towards the motel, barking viciously. Noah looked at Beth confused, but said nothing as he let the canine loose. Pulling out his radio again he informed the rest of the team there was a hit on Damien's whereabouts.

  • Gri kept the bag unzipped peaking through the opening just to roll its eyes at the demon and watch him gather up all his things he wanted to take with them. I wouldn't be surprised if she did.. The little creature was still grinning though, finding this whole thing mildly entertaining. When he moved to go out of the room Gri sighed and ducked his head back in and the zipper moved itself back up near the top so the little creature couldn't be seen. Getting as comfortable as it could the little red creature fell still in the bag as he could hear the brief exchange through the very flimsy fabric of the bag.

Hurry, I am going to wither away to nothing at this rate... Gri insisted before they finally started moving. Gri could hear its stomach growling in protest. While Damien might have gotten at least something because of the robbery Gri had not and wasn't going to be able to keep still for long if it didn't get anything at all to eat soon. At this point the creature might be able to settle for meat.

Gri moved a tiny bit when they neared the bus station able to smell the old lady sitting on the bus stop bench near where he was standing. Gri curled himself up though just barely keeping from doing something that might get them both found out.

    __ __ ___ ___

Beth snapped her head over as she heard her name being called. The look she had on her face when she turned to look at him was not one of relief, but one of annoyance. If her team had been able to get to her sooner none of this would have happened. "My wounds opened up during that hold-up. I couldn't hear anything from you guys." She explained rather calmly for a person who had just been in a hostage situation. Pulling out the ear piece she practically shoved it in Noah's face. It still seemed to be in good condition so she had no clue why her radio hadn't been working, but she didn't get to dwell on it as her fellow hunter went to look at the blood staining her shirt. "I'll be fine." She didn't even try to play it up. If they got her bandages off and saw how healed it was already she was screwed so she wasn't going to pretend that she was hurt, although she was tempted to try so she could get out of this situation.

With the familiar sniffing at her side she turned her eye to glance down. "No it was the demon that killed them and it was the demon that helped get me out of there." She said through rather gritted teeth shaking her head. Even as the Doberman seemed to catch wind of the demon's scent she didn't move at all since they probably wouldn't find much left in the room since she doubted he had left anything to be found. Besides it seemed to her that despite them trying to hide it Damien and the hotel owner knew each other, so he probably wouldn't squeal on him. When she thought of what they would find in the room though she let out and exasperated breath. Now here came the part she was looking forwards to the least.

  • Damien saw some street vendors on the way to the bus: hot dogs, ribs, corn on the cob to name a few. "What are you in the mood for, Gri?" He said quiet enough for no one else to really hear. "We're on a rush so I guess this is the best we've got." The bus stop was just down the street and around the corner. Damien's grip on the backpack straps fluctuated anxiously, he didn't feel comfortable being out like this, especially with a team of Hunters not too far from where they just left. Hopefully seeing Beth will slow them down... But, most likely that would make them get here faster.

    -------------------

As the Doberman set off a few other hunters went to check the motel room, catching Gabriel by surprise. The Mexican man cursed under his breath in Spanish, figuring this was going to happen as soon as Damien said he was leaving for good. The employee tried to feign innocence and ignorance as to what was going on, even though the man never really knew what kind of... "Profession" Damien was in to cause such a ruckus. "What is the meaning of this gentleman? I have guests here that you're disturbing. Tell me what you want and maybe we can settle on a calm and orderly solution- Hey!" A man grabbed Gabe's arms behind his back and slammed his chest down on the desk.

"Tell us where Damien is. Tall, dark brown hair. We were informed he was staying here."

"By who?!" But Gabe instantly knew. The way Beth left with a huff alone he knew she had something to do with this. What have you gotten yourself into, Damien?! And why did I have to be dragged into it?! As he was being interrogated, but surprisingly held out till the end, denying any relations with Damien besides him being a customer; ttwo more of the men hunted down his room and barged it open. Guns at the ready they expected he might be there, but alas the room was empty. Taking a step into the room they all grew quiet. Rummaging through drawers, under the bed, in the closet and everywhere in the bathroom they couldn't find a trace of him... Except for the bloody rags and bandages in the trash.

The taller blonde male used his radio to inform the rest of the team their findings, but that ultimately Damien was no longer here. Limited on familiars they wouldn't be able to find out who's blood it was until they ran some tests on it. Zipping it in a bag they left the motel to meet Beth and Noah outside. They handed the bag to Noah, not thinking much of it before they heard the Doberman howl out a trail. The team moved quickly to follow the demon.

Just Noah and Beth now, the former looked at Beth with confusion and worry. "This isn't the shifter's blood... What exactly happened Beth?" His voice was more concerned than suspicious. Despite how cold Beth was to the whole force, Noah was the most patient. Partly because he didn't want to be on her bad side, but also so she actually had someone on her side to begin with. "I won't run this to the labs right away... Because I'm giving you a chance here. But I need to know whats going on." He never considered she'd be in cahoots with the demon, at least not willingly. But if what she said was true about him saving her from the robbery, whatever context that may be missing from that it still led them both being here... And then the demon getting away just before the rest of them arrived. There's no way in Hell Beth would let him go as a form of repayment for saving her life. But there's no telling she wasn't being held captive herself by him. [does she have the anklet pieces with her still?]

  • Gri shifted in the bag the zipper coming down a little bit further so the creature inside could get a good whiff of all the different foods from around. Anything with meat.. Gri decided letting the zipper go back up. The creature shifted uneasily already knowing that the hunters weren't too far behind them at all. We probably could have been faster if you hadn't decided to plant one on her before we left.. The creature added before settling in, it was amusing to it, but a complete waste of precious time as well.

    __ __ __ __

Beth stood outside with her arms crossed as they went inside after the Doberman seeming ready for a fight. She hung back not bothering to go in as she knew exactly what they would find. She raised a brow as they slammed the hotel manager she assumed on to his desk demanding answers. Sighing loudly she shook her head. "So much for subtlety." She muttered although doubted that them barging in would really get much notice. She kept her face rather blank even after several long minutes when they came out with the bloody rags bagged up. When she got a look of concern from Noah she almost narrowed her eyes, not really wanting concern for her, since she had messed up and she knew she was going to have to answer for it.

She shook her head and opened her hand to show the pieces of the tracking anklet balled up in her hand. "It's exactly what it looks like. I let the demon go after he patched me up. If I had a weapon I would have rather have taken him out, but I lost my last knife when I was getting away from the one thug that was left." Beth sighed running a hand to pull her tangled hair away from her face. "I could blame it on heavy blood loss meaning I was thinking straight, but it doesn't really matter." Her voice was flat as she didn't try to dodge the truth of the matter. It was clear on her face saying it was anything, but pleasant for her. Still, she did it anyways since trying to cover up what actually happened would only burry her further into a hole she had already dug for herself by doing this.

A heavy sigh came out as she pointed a finger towards her bottom lip. "Then he did this little number to finish it off." There was now a clear nick in her bottom lip. She had a feeling she knew what it was, but she couldn't be sure. She shrugged a little offering the anklet to him. "You can report it all back and get me canned." Beth shook her head saying the words with a somewhat bitter after taste. Her jaw tightened after she let the words out.

  • Damien walked up to a hot dog vendor and casually took two of them while the man wasn't looking and walking briskly to the bus. A smirk came in response to Gri's comment. "Perhaps, but I have a feeling it maybe come in handy one day. Perhaps sooner than you think." Swiveling the back to his chest as he walked he placed the hot dog in the bag, making sure no one noticed what was on the inside. Shifting the backpack to it's original place he took a bite of his own hot dog, almost groaning at the satisfaction of finally eating something.

But his pleasure was short lived when he heard the howls of a hell hound making their way. "Shit." He muttered, not even looking back. Scarfing down the rest of the hot dog he put his hood up and quickly made his way through the busy streets.

    ------------

Noah inhaled with a hiss as he ran a hand through his long chestnut brown hair as she confessed all of this. "You really don't care, do you Beth? Always the one to follow the rules." Shaking his head he realized there was no helping this. "They're going to feed you to the dogs, Beth. I'm surprised you didn't decide to go down and take the demon with you. Usually you're... More dedicated." He said with pursed lips. Not that he wanted her dead, but he just hoped she would give him something to work with that might ease her evaluation and eventual trial later.

Taking the anklet he gave Beth an uncertain look before calling over another member. "Tommy. I need you to take Beth back to base for medical treatment and report evaluation." He said, not removing his eyes off of Beth the whole time as if to read her. Once Tommy came over he handed the evidence over, "Relieve her of her weapons if any are left and take her into custody. And be sure to take this evidence to the chief."

Tommy looked wearily at Beth, but he would be lying if he didn't admit he was relishing in it. Beth had always been... Well. A bitch to put simply. To everyone. And here she was going to stand in front of judgement for one of the worst offenses a hunter could do.

[Sorry I didn't add more to this. Heading to work. I'll add more if you don't reply before then. If you do then I'll just add more context to my next post]

  • Gri growled as he shifted the bag around to his chest without warning the creature first, but was quickly quieted when the hot dog was dropped into the bag. I'll believe it when I see it... The little creature responded before quiet rustling could be heard from inside the backpack. Gri sighed after taking the first bite, not caring that it wasn't anything more then a greasy hotdog. It was enough for the little starved fluff ball. Hearing the howl Gri fell motionless in the bag. The zipper on the bag shifted as Gri seemed to be trying to get a better sense of what was going on around them. As they passed a bright red fire hydrant the creature smiled a wicked little grin. Without a word the hydrant twisted and groaned suddenly falling over and water erupting out. If nothing else it might at least help cover their trail as the water would wash some of it away. As well Gri estimated that there would be a large commotion because of it.

    __ __ __ __

She had already signed her death warrant. She narrowed her eyes at Noah shaking her head. "Of course I care." She snapped dropping her hand to her side after he took the anklet. Tightening her jaw as he though he would have expected her of all people to rather take herself and demon out over letting him get away. "Well I didn't so sorry to disappoint you there." Underneath her bristling attitude she looked away looking in the direction that the familiar had gone off in after Damien. She could feel the panic rising up in the back of her throat. They were going to rip her shreds and frantically she didn't think anyone would care in the slightest.

She didn't look at Tommy as he was called over. She knew if she did she was going to want to sock him in the gut since he was probably not going to have any issues hauling her in and she had some pent up frustration and anger she didn't know what to do with. Instead she shook her head. "I don't have any weapons." She muttered under her breath and already started walking towards the vehicles. She didn't even wait for Tommy. She had gist of what the drill was and she just wanted to get out of there before her anger fell away and she broke down in front of everyone like she knew she was about to do.

  • Noah gave a sigh as she snapped at him. He knew how it sounded , but that was what everyone here trained for. Their lives were meant to stop the threat of demonic activity, and if they had to sacrifice themselves to prevent one from getting away then that was what was required. He stepped out of her way as she stormed off towards the car. Remembering Intel from HQ he turned to call out to Beth, "Oh! And we got word another demon was missing. A smaller breed, but just as formidable, if not more so. You didn't happen to come across it, did you?"

Tommy got cuffs ready for Beth for after she stepped into the car. "I don't take you as the type to try to run, but you know protocol." His face was serious as it was just business, but deep down he couldn't wait to see what they'd rack up when they would interview her story, especially when she made it sound like she tagged along so willingly and let him loose without a second thought. "You had him right under your nose. You could have activated the anklet instead of taking it off. Or even just stall long enough for us to arrive. So why didn't you?" Tommy didn't have much time for an answer. Not with Noah barking at him to take her back. After the cuffs were roughly put on her he smirked before closing her door and sliding into the driver's seat.

    -------------

The water gushing out made the hell hound skid to a stop, snarling loudly at the set back. As the powerful flow of water escaped the hydrant, more of it pushed out from different corners and hitting the dog like a shot to the shoulder. Yelping out in surprise it jumped back and shook off the water, delaying the chase just a bit longer. The hunters caught up with the beast, scanning the area for any sign of them. "Dammit, how did this even happen?!" A man growled before he called the team to fan out.

The Doberman tried to pick up their scent but the water soon spread through the street, washing away the trail.

Damien looked back to see the water mess, breaking their trail from the rest. He broke out in smile as he slowed down to a quick casual walk, and hoped on the bus. "Nice work, Gri... You never cease to amaze. I think we make a pretty good team would you say so?" He grinned. "Where we're going you can have quite the feast, I promise." He whispered, trying not to draw attention to himself on the bus.

For instances like this he had a few other hide aways, one being a house in the next town over. It has been vacant for years because of all the lore about it being haunted because of how many people had died there before. The truth behind it was Damien had a supplier for human organs for rainy days, and this happened to be where he operated. However, he got caught and was charged for murder, kidnapping, and illegal doctor practices without a state issued license. It had been over a year since the man was arrested, making it the perfect discrete location. It certainly wouldn't be the first place to look for them, especially when Damien made sure no tires could be led back to him.

  • Gri narrowed its eyes hearing the distant growling of the Doberman was derailed from their path. The creature would rather have directly hurled the familiar into on coming traffic, but of course that would have drawn far too much attention to them. Gri settled in to finish off the hot dog letting out a tired breath. The energy it had recuperating was not going to last long at all if the creature how to continue to use to throw off the hunters. I suppose...at least competent enough to not get caught... Gri admitted moving inside the backpack. Where exactly would that be?... The creature asked seeming curious where exactly the demon had in mind.

    __ __ __ __ __

Snapping her head back around as Noah hollered at her asking if she had come across the other demon that was absent she gave a loud sigh. "Yep." Was all she called back she slipped in the car before Tommy pulled out handcuffs. She narrowed her eyes at both him and the handcuffs with his questioning only furthering her irritation. "That other demon that Noah was talking about was with him in the room. I thought it would be better to play it safe." Beth said it, but it didn't sound like a good reasoning or her normal course of action at all. She had hesitated and she could have very easily stunned him without much trouble. Yeah the creature might have tried to help Damien out of the situation, but there was no guarantee.

Beth glared at him the entire time he slapped on the cuffs leaning back into the seat when he slammed the door. Beth had no idea how she was going to justify this. She wouldn't have even have been in this situation if it weren't for them interfering in the first place and keeping her from doing her job. Looking out the window she had to try to get comfortable in the seat squirming as her hands were painfully angled behind her.

  • Damien looked out the window, watching as the town passed before him. "It's a cozy little place in the next town over. I know a few guys in the neighborhood who might be willing to help us out. Let's just say they were business partners..." Lost in thought Damien licked his bottom lip where he too had nicked it with his fang. A thin scar that was barely visible. But it was the bond that now tied him to Beth. i wonder if she'll figure out how it works. A specific summoning chant would do the trick, but it had to be compatible with his species.

"I'll just need to give them a call via payphone and they'll come around. We'll also need to be ready... Not just for the hunters, but something far bigger. I can sense it."

The bus ride was a long quiet ride, but it gave Damien the opportunity to relax. Once they made it to their stop he had to stretch, his back, neck, shoulders and knees all popping. Hopping off the bus onto a unkept sidewalk, Damien could see the street that eventually led to the neighborhood of the two story house. It wasn't too shabby on the outside other than the usual aging: paint chipping by the windows, weeds due to lack of care, and of course the rust on the mailbox from weather. Damien made his way to the back and hopping over the gate with ease. Reaching the metal back door he grinned.

"Home sweet home!" Without even testing the door knob he kicked the door, slamming it open. A chilled breeze wafted out polluted with dust. The house was practically empty since the police seized everything... Well, almost everything. "There should be a lab around here... Somewhere the police wouldn't find it."

    ---------------

Confirming that there was a second demon made Noah nod in thought. There was hope for her trial, not that she cared either way.

Tommy started the engine and began to head to HQ. After a moment of silence Tommy spoke up, "So why do you think he helped save you from the robbery? You didn't bat your eyes at him or anything, I'd imagine." There wasn't too much time to answer the question because the damaged gates that were still under repair creaked open for their arrival. What remained of this division's force were busy repairing buildings as well as stood guard in case there were any more uprisings. After parking the car Tommy and a woman approached her door to escort her to the infirmary.

(Sorry if this is rushing things. I was thinking of a time skip after the infirmary/settling for the day scenes to the next day)

  • When the door was kicked in and he entered the house the backpack it practically exploded open the zippers thrown haphazardly open. The creature dropped out of the bag not seeming to mind that there was still some distance to the ground. Landing easily it shook off its red fur before letting out a loud growl. Humans are loathsome little creatures.. Gri hissed glaring up at the bag that it had been riding in for what had felt almost like a century rather then a few hours. The creature sat down to use its paw to push some ruffled hair down.

Gri's brown eyes were burning with irritation, not enjoying being stuck in a backpack for the better part of a day. The only thing that could distract it was the mention of a lab. Gri briefly looked this way and that before standing itself up and wordlessly trotting down the hall. The small creature's tail bobbing as it moved. It walked into the hall, paused and turned again. Gri ended up standing in front of the door that led out to the garage. I smell something coming from there... Gri reported before narrowing its eyes and letting the door be hurled open. Trotting inside the creature seemed eager to eat before it started to reek havoc.

Once inside the tiny creature weaved through discarded boxes and contents of the boxes strewn this way and that. It paws seemed to hardly touch the ground as it danced over the built up piles of things. Your associate was good at hiding things.. Gri added as he came up to what looked like several ladders, a lawnmower, and a toolbox piled up in one corner seeming mostly untouched. Gri sat down glancing back at Damien. There was only so much heavy lifting the little thing could do before it started to wear out.

    __ __ __ __ __ __

Beth was quiet almost the entire ride, admittedly it was a very short one. She was biting her lip and looking off into the distance, looking as if she felt extremely guilty. Really she was just feeling the nicks on her bottom lip. Sighing she released her lip questioning still what the hell she had been thinking and why Damien had decided just to add insult to injury. It didn't feel like it was very big or noticeable, but she didn't know the right chant or whatever it took to actually use it and she didn't plan on using it either. Turning her attention briefly to Tommy she narrowed her eyes a little as he asked the exact same question she still wasn't completely sure on still.

"Most likely thought that I would help free him if he did. Beyond that no fucking idea." She grumbled hating to admit that she really was clueless to why the stupid demon did anything. Shaking her head the gates they passed made her sigh. Hopefully they had at least gotten most of the demons contained at least. When they pulled to a stop she stood herself up brushing past the woman already knowing the way to the infirmary. Beth was also just in a mood to lash out in any way she could, since was still frustrated and angry with herself for giving Damien exactly what he wanted.

  • Damien looked at him surprised, but fully understood his discontent. Sliding off the bag, careful not to lose any of the valuable contents, he placed it by the kitchen, slipping out a knife for himself. He followed to the Garage and cracked his knuckles, catching on to Gri's look. Pocketing the knife in his belt loop before he began moving the supplies out of the way, careful not to cause too much noise. Dust plumed from each object, causing the demon to squint and cough. Finally clearing out the corner he could see the boards have a thin outline that resembled a door. With one swift kick the door was forcefully swung open, the lock splintering off.

Behind the door was a chilled room. It was cooled by the concrete walls and tile that made up the room. Damien's eyes adjusted easily to the darkness and was able to locate a wide switch: a generator for emergency power since electricity wasn't being directed to this vacant house for over a year. Florescent lights flickered on with a hum. Metal tables, old surgical equipment somewhat neatly placed on a tray. In the back was an old rusted sink and a counter for Pharmaceuticals. Cabinets lined under the counter as well as on the walls, containing beakers, jars, formaldehyde, poisons and a whole slew of chemicals.

Damien guided through the room easily, efficiently sifting through the shallow drawers lining under the counters to find what he was looking for. "Bingo!" He pulled out a series of burner phones, testing each one to see if they were in service. Finding one he let out a sigh of relief. Side glancing at Gri he opened the flip phone. "Got any special requests for take out?"

There were only a few numbers sent to and from the phone. Damien silently hoped they were still active. Dialing up the most frequent number he waited as it rang for what seemed like an painfully long time. A familiar voice answered on the other end. "Hello?"

A grin curled on Damien's lips in pleasant surprise. "Hey Max... Long time no speak."

"...Damien? How did you get this number? Where are you?"

"Would you believe me if I told you I'm at Site 3? Kind of in a tight situation. Would you mind doing a delivery here for me and my friend?" His tail swished behind him as he looked around the lab, the stale scent of death was muddled with mildew and dust. After haggling with Max over the short notice delivery, the demon finally got him to agree and come down with Gri's order as well as Damien's usual clientele. "Alright Gri, think you can hold up for another ten minutes? I'll show you around."

    --------------

Her abrasive nature wasn't taken lightly. The two hunters silently agreed to follow from behind before releasing her from her cuffs at the point of the infirmary.

The doctor there had already been given the run down as to what happened, making her all that more surprised by how quickly she was recovering from the treatment at the motel. She was fascinated, but was unsure if this was the work of the rare substance, but Beth's bitter mood kept her excitement hidden. The last thing she'd check up was the knick on the lip. "What's this...? That's quite the impression he made on you. I don't understand why a demon would willingly mark you like this." The woman's green eyes searched the mark for a moment more before furrowing her brows. "I'd talk to a different branch about this. They might be able to help you with figuring out exactly what kind of summoning bond this is... I'm sure you'd have time. If your story checks out you might be able to get away with probation or a slap on the wrist."

  • Gri sat back seeming perfectly content letting Damien do the heavy lifting to uncover the door. Gri jumped back as dust was hurled up into the air waiting several feet away until the junk was cleared and the door was visible. The little creature was then almost right on his heels going into it seeming extremely curious of what this human's lab looked like. Once inside the tiny creature looked up at the high countertops before gracefully jumping up on top of them. Once its paws made contact with the counter Gri began to sniff around at all the stale human scents left behind.

Looking up its brown eyes narrowed in concentration before deciding what it wanted. Anything bloody or raw should be fine... The creature stretched looking around at the jars that were placed on the counter. It sniffed occasionally before Gri jumped down from the counter watching the demon calling in a favor.

Tipping its head for a moment it sighed when the demon got off the phone. I suppose I can... The little creature grew quite bored with the lab in general. It was a human facility that was used to cut up and butcher other humans, plain and simple in the creature's mind.

    __ __ __ __ __ __

Beth looked like hell and she knew she did even before she walked into the building. Her hair was disheveled and thrown whichever way it wanted to go, her clothes were blood soaked, and she had minor bruises on her arms and neck thanks to the little tussle she got into after being held at gun point. The huntress narrowed her eyes when several people stopped to do a double take clearly having little to no idea what was happening.

When she was released from her cuffs she rubbed her wrists looking as if she was about to bite off the head of the person who had the misfortune of getting close enough to her. Still, it wasn't a look that was far off from how she was normally. When the doctor started to look at the nick of her lip. "Believe me I wish I knew." She muttered under her breath before sighing loudly. "Yeah I guess its worth a look if I don't end up disappearing at some point." She was clearly just fed up at this point, closing her blue eyes for a moment.

  • Catching on to his discontent Damien offered him a cocky smile, "Come on Gri, we've made it this long. Come on, I'll get us more settled in. There should still be beds here. Damien slipped the burner phone in his pocket before taking a look over of the lab. There was a locked closet at the edge of the room. The demon looked at it curiously, a weak smile appearing with an idea of what was inside it. With a single yank the door ripped open to reveal various arms and bombs inside. Tail swishing gleefully he couldn't help but admire all the specialized weapons... Most of them were for demons, but most of them very well could kill any human. "How useful..." He whispered with a purr. Closing the door he looked at Gri, "Alright, fuzz ball, let's get out of here."

Leading them out of the room he waited for the creature to follow before turning off the lights and closing up the door. Now that they were in the main house Damien toured the rooms with a few pieces of furniture left covered by sheets. The entire house had two bedrooms upstairs, a bathroom on each floor not including the master bathroom. The main floor had a living room, den, kitchen and dining room. However, all Damien could imagine was the false sense of security the place would give to its victims. The homely nature welcomed several women, men, even children, but once they were "chosen" they never left.

The master bedroom had a queen while the second bedroom had a twin bed. "You know, Gri... Despite the horrors of this home, it really is quite beautiful. I wouldn't mind owning such a historic building." He said quietly as he felt the door frame. Damien's mesmerizing was interrupted by a text notifying him that Max was here with the delivery. Grinning pleased Damien made his way to the back door where a shabby black haired, well built male stood. After exchanging a few words Damien walked back with the large bag and placed it on a kitchen counter. He pulled out a paper wrapped package that was saturated in blood. It was still warm to Damien's surprise. "Hey Gri, soups up!" Opening the paper to reveal a kidney from what the demon would have to guess was a horse, he placed it closer to the creature.

The Doctor cleared her throat before prescribing painkillers for Beth. "Well they have a suite ready for you with fresh clothes. It's a lot nicer than a jail cell, I'll tell you that. I trust one of your... escorts will get you there." Tod was waiting outside the infirmary to ensure she makes it to her temporary place of living until she was interviewed which wouldn't be until the next day.

[My mouse stopped working, I'm going to TRY to fix it. If you want to reply to this you can or you can wait until after I edit in some more stuff for Beth. Unless you want to establish the scene/setting yourself and allow her to get cleaned up or sleep or whatever]

  • The small creature huffed following along with him getting out of the lab. Gri left with a flick of its red tail clearly glad to be leaving it behind in favor of anything else. It had no use for the room. Its ears perked up as Gri followed him back into the main house. The creature was not as interested in the aging house as Damien did. Still the creature trailed along behind him the whole way brown eyes shining as it took in every detail of it. The small creature shrugged sniffing around wrinkling its nose at some of the dust around them.

What would you do with an historic building?... Gri questioned after giving a sneeze when the demon walked along kicking up some of the dust in its face. Narrowing its eyes it continued to follow on his heels pausing however when the text came from the burner phone. Long tail lashing as Gri leapt itself up on to the counter seeming extremely interested when the demon disappeared to answer the door.

Dark eyes widened with the delight seeing Damien appear with a bag that smelled amazing to it. A sudden rusty..almost purr from the sounds of it came from the odd thing. When the lover was revealed a row of sharp teeth was revealed. Finally some real food... Practically lunging at the kidney Gri sunk its fangs into the flesh.

Beth looked listlessly at the prescription as she wrote it out. She hadn't taken the pills she was supposed to take before, which had helped get her into this mess in the first place. "Preferable I guess." She shrugged pushing herself off of the exam table and towards the door without another word. She grumbled under her breath when she saw her 'escort' standing outside. Honestly she was going to have a headache from dealing with all these people. Her head was already pounding like someone had taken a sledgehammer to it.

Strolling towards him she crossed her arms over her chest. "You're supposed be babysitting me right?" Raising a brow her tone was as harsh as it ever was. The huntress was so utterly fed up that she wasn't able to even dial back her aggressive demeanor. It wouldn't make getting through this easier for her anyway.
