The girl nodded but fear was in her eyes. After the can came and gone the demon appeared around the corner, his hands in his pockets. "You are far from home. What could bring such a lovely lady out this late?" The moonlight illuminated his pale skin and the fangs that glinted at a point. He revealed a long black tail with a tuft of hair at the end of it. "I'm afraid I'm a very busy man and I don't have time to play around."

The huntress saw the girl off standing there she crossed her arms wondering if the demon would come again. Twirling a piece of her blonde hair she turned hearing a voice. “Waiting for an *sshole like you come around.” She snapped back holding the knife in her hands. She looked down at it and then back up at the demon. “I’m surprised you even showed back up.” She smiled coolly shaking her head. With any luck this would be quick. She was a busy woman herself and the sooner this wrapped up the sooner she could go back to a more normal life. Turning to fully face him she shrugged. “Your move.” She teases wanting to get him to attack first and see how beatbox to counter him.
-
He touched his heart to show fake offense, "I'm hurt! To say such things... You haven't even gotten to know me." Grabbing one of the shoge he readied himself. "Why can't we let bygones be bygones? I let you live and you leave me alone." He shrugged as he smiled. "You look like.... A person who needs to go out more. Why not go and enjoy yourself with some friends, hang out. Not burden yourself with such foolishness." His tail wagged behind him in anticipation.
-
Giving a dry laugh she rolled her eyes picking up one of blessed throwing knives she carried. “I have a job to do and it’s to get rid of pesky demons like you.” She shrugged stalking a little closer her blonde hair bouncing behind her as she walked. “I don’t have time for hanging out.” The huntress owned the fact that she was obsessed with her job. She had some people she talked to, but it was mostly just her work. So, she couldn’t just let this demon live. In one swift movement she threw a small blessed knife from each of her hand aiming to hit the demon and start to weaken him before he could get close.
-
He dodged just barely, surprised at just how quick her attacks were. He returned an attack by sending his shoge after her abdomen. And another by her legs, hoping to trip her if nothing else, and maybe even bring her closer. "You're quick I'll give you that." Whether or not his attack struck her he brought back the weapon to ready for another attack. This time he'd aim for her hands to disarm her if possible. Glancing at the sky he judged the time, it was still early. His curfew wasn't close.
-
She slipped back a step able to get away from the blow aimed at her stomach, but it did catch her leg and caused her stumble forwards throwing her a bit off balance. She laughed slightly as she righted herself and prepared for his next attack. “Awe that’s so sweet.” She shook her head before throwing another dagger at his arm. The shoge caught the edge of her hand just as she reloaded to throw again, knocking the blade on the ground. She flicked her hand holding it at her side and cursed. She only had so many blades. She made a move towards him closing some of the distance between them holding her daggers in her hands getting ready to strike again.
-
"You know, I'm starting to think you hunters are all bark and no bite." He taunted as his tail flicked behind him in excitement. Seeing the blade thrown just as he attacked he didn't have time to move away. The blade pierced into his bicep, rendering that arm handicapped. "Dammit!" He cursed as his weapon dropped to the ground. He tried to muster up strength to bring it back to that arm, wincing as he did so. The purpleish blood that began to bleed out of the wound dripped to the ground. Noticing her making way in his direction he knew he would be poor at hand to hand in this condition. Grabbing a kunai of his own from under his pant leg he whizzed it towards her knee or thigh, it was a quick motion so he lacked the proper timing to aim. "You're not taking me alive, are you deary?" He called out.
-
Satisfied she had at least managed to wound him and make this a little easier on herself. The blade clumsily thrown did manage to cut into her thigh as it whizzed past. Muttering she gripped her dagger tighter and continued moving towards him at a slightly slowly slower speed. Sighing she picked out her second to last blade she had to throw. She made a quick throw with it. Still gripping her dagger she raised a brow slightly. “What good would that do me?”
She asked moving in closer to strike him with the small blessed daggers that fit perfectly in her hands. The huntress could take him alive, but she was considering it more hassle then it was worth. A dead demon could be just a useful as a living one to her. That was unless of course she got instructions to do otherwise.
-
The holy blade was taking it's toll on his arm. Seething he knew this wasn't good for him. As she threw another one he used his already damaged arm to take the hit. "Gahhh!!" Damien cried out. Being heavily he muttered a sarcastic reply, "Well I can do parlor tricks." He used his good arm to throw his Shoge at her leg, hoping it would catch so he could pull back to either trip her or render that tendon useless. Whatever it took to weakened her into submission. Hugging his arm to his chest became more work than he anticipated it to be, so he let it hang limp at his side as his jacket soaked up the blood. As she inches closer he gave a wicked smile, "you don't want to corner me, girly. It might not end well." Out of the tuff's of hair on the end if his tail spikes grew out. Two long dark vHorns began to poke through his hair followed by two smaller ones.
-
The huntress hissed in pain as the blade caught the back of her leg and left a gash in the back of her leg. She could feel the slimy blood running down her leg into her shoe. Sighing she shifted slightly scrunching up nose as she watched him begin to shift and morph until the horns sprouted from his head and spikes appeared at the end of his tail. “So you just get uglier?” She questioned leaning a bit more on her other leg as she was now staying a little ways back. The woman sighed holding one of the last of her two blessed daggers. Throwing them might not do any real good. Shrugging she decided to go with old tried and true trick. Pulling out a vile slung holy water at him to keep him away from her at the very least.
-
Damien jumped back from the vile with a snarl. "Looks don't matter when you're dead!" He spat. Grabbing a kunai he ran it across his useless hand's palm to coat it in his blood. Twirling in in his good hand he tried to close the distance to get better aim. "I hope you're a glutton for pain because this is going to fucking hurt." He grinned. Running towards her with his arm pulled back he released the weapon towards her direction. After the throw he staggered forward and had to leave on a nearby trash can. He was loosing too much blood, leaving him weak and surprisingly winded. The blessed metal's poison is spreading quicker than I had anticipated.
-
The huntress narrowed her eyes watching him. She didn't plan on dying tonight if she could help it. Of course she backed up when he started his charge for her, but she wasn't fast enough to react in time. The blade coated in demon blood caught her square in the side. The blade ripped the material of her shirt a left a deep gash in its place. She gasped softly at the searing pain from it. Even though her side was screaming with pain and she had to clutch it tight to keep too much blood from spilling out she smiled when she saw she wasn't the only one who was winded and out of it. "Guess we'll just have to see who bleeds out first." She shrugged twirling a piece of her blonde hair with her free hand narrowing her eyes as she pulled out the knife from her belt. She was running out of time now.
-
Gnashing his teeth he tried to remain conscience. "I'm... Not... Going to be... Taken down... By the likes of you!" He panted. He gave out a final hiss of defiance as he sweated from the poison. Getting up he made way to her but ended up collapsing on the hard ground. "Argh!" Gripping his arm he growled in pain; his tail lagging behind him was more like writhing, but he tried hard to continue fighting, but it was obvious that wasn't happening.
-
The huntress frowned softly giving a slight snort of disgust. "Am I not worthy enough?" She asked pointedly although it mattered little. The poison was kicking in quickly and it wouldn't be long before it took him out completely. Holding her ground he watched him and his fruitless efforts to carry on the fight. She grunted in pain as she took a step forwards. She was going to need to undergo a serious cleansing after coming in any sort of contact with demon blood. She stared down at him as she prowled closer biting back the pain for now. She gripped the dagger in his hand. The woman was ready to end him, right here and rid the world of another one of these hell spawn. Still a small voice stopped her, not her inner voices or anything. No instead it was a chip in her ear. A broken voice of an older man talking to her in her ear. "Wait..he could...be" The huntress hissed softly in response to the voice and the burning pain in her side. "Useful?! There is not a useful demon alive." She spat in return her eyes glazing angrily as she stared at the demon in front of her. She couldn't believe this!
-
"The only things... You're worth... Is fucking and killing." He growled. Trying to get up by propping up with his elbow from the bad arm and pushing up with his good hand, he gave her a defiant look. "Well? What are you standing there for? Kill me!" With that the demon launched himself towards her, giving up on the dagger and instead utilized his claws to swipe at her. Despite his efforts she probably could easily knock him off balance and retrain him.
-
“Sorry to say you don’t get to do either of those.” The woman spat right back in return. The huntress was distracted by the voice and still seemed ready to argue with it when she heard his angry growl and had to jump back to get away from his swiping claws she narrowed her eyes threw her final dagger right at him while he came at her aiming for his leg. After throwing the knife she also kicked out at him to knock him back and give herself some more space. She grumbled something under her breath as the voice seemed to continue to tell her what to do. Rolling her eyes ever so slightly she got ready holding a small vile in her hands. It looks like she was going to have to knock him out instead of killing him like she wanted.
-
Damien snarled as the knife embedded into his right thigh. That and the combination of her kicking him caused him to fall back down onto the ground, landing in a crouch with his right arm supporting him. "You bitch..." It came out in a strained voice followed by a low growl. Before he could get up again he felt the world spin around him and his vision turned to black. The demon collapsed onto the ground passed out from blood loss and toxins in his system. Upon fainting his features returned to a more human facade: the horns disappeared as well as the scales, leaving him with a handsome face.
-
Sighing softly when he went down on his own she watched his face change. He didn’t look as terrible as he did with all the horns and scales. Shaking her head she talked quietly into her ear piece still not seeming all that happy about the fact she had to preserve him when he thought it would be much easier to kill him now. Mumbling under her breath she waited silently until a few minutes later a dark van pulled up a couple other hunters jumped out. One of them laughed looking back at her. “Jesus Beth you did a number on this one.” With that they put restraints on him and walked over.
-
Feeling his body being lifted, Damien let out a soft groan. Peering through heavy lids he saw the girl still standing while he was being taken into a dark vehicle. "N-no..." After being roughly thrown into the car the last thing he saw was the ceiling if the van before everything went dark.
...
Waking up to concrete walls and florescent lights, he couldn't tell the hour or if he was even still awake. This can't be real...! This has to be a dream. He jumped up, instantly regretting it by feeling his body ache and seeing tubes attached to him feeding blood to his body to make up for what he lost. "Wh-what the hell is all this?!" He started to remove the IV lines from his arms.
-
He had been on death’s door for a while now. It had taken about a day and a half for them to patch him up. When he started to come around Beth was standing off to the side looking at her nails since they were more interesting then watching the demon lay there hook up to machines. She wasn’t dressed like she was when she had been hunting him. Now her hair was curled and pinned up and she wore a black dress that seemed a lot more dressy for just standing around watching him. When he started tearing out IV’s the machines started beeping frantically in response. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Those machines are what’s keeping you alive.” She advised although her voice was flat and uncaring.
