  • Kestrelpaw purred. Eaglepaw was nice, and fun. Admittedly, the tabby had somewhat forgotten that Jasperstar and Maizeykit were present. One of his flaws was that he wasn't very good at speaking to large groups of cats, and would usually favor one over the rest - in this situation, that being Eaglepaw. Realizing it was his turn to toss the mossball, he tossed it towards Eaglepaw. His throw was fairly clumsy, which was pretty embarrassing, but maybe this would be a good time to see whether Eaglepaw could catch it or not. Keeping his eyes fixed on the younger apprentice, he waited eagerly. For a game of mossball, this was kinda intense. Not fun, but better than nothing. Kestrelpaw didn't exactly feel like patrolling or hunting after all, and Ironclaw was busy. "Can you catch the mossball even with that terrible throw, almighty Eaglepaw?" He asked, sarcastic and overly dramatic, placing a paw on his head.

Eaglepaw smirked at the other's teasing and dramatics, lunging towards the mossball - which was honestly a horrible shot; you could barely tell it was for Eaglepaw if Kestrelpaw didn't tell him of the fact. Still, he felt the ball graze off of his paw, touching the edge of it before it was too late and the ball was on the ground. Huffing, he got up off the ground and shook the dirt that got into his long fur and picked up the ball. "I managed to touch it, at least." He said smugly, hint of mischief underneath, before pausing for a second. "CANYOUSAYTHESAME!" He yowled as he threw the moss ball as quickly as he could back to the other, determined to gain back his loss.

  • Maizeykit's gaze ping-ponged between the apprentices, her tail swatting as amusement filled her chest. Those two were quite hilarious -- in the kits eyes, anyway. Thus, their playful competitiveness turned into a form of entertainment in itself, which Maizeykit sat down to watch with intense interest. This was almost as fun as winning herself, seeing which one would beat the other. Maizeykit gasped at Eagle's throw, leaning on the edge of her paws. That was a fast shot! Would Kestrel block it?

  • Kestrelpaw's eyes widened at Eaglepaw's fast shot. There was no way he'd be able to catch that! But he had to? Trembling a little, glancing at Jasperstar and Maizeykit a little self consciously, still aware of the presence of his two Clanmates, he tried to focus on the ball as it flew swiftly towards him. As it came close, the tabby batted out, paws scraping the ball before he missed it. "As a matter of a fact, I did manage to touch it too, Eaglepaw," he supposed that was alright. As long as Eaglepaw didn't make himself look too much better than Kestrelpaw, there was no reason for him to get that embarrassed. "That was an impressive throw, I have to admit." He padded over to the mossball, staring at it for a few moments and rolling it beneath his paw, wondering how it had caused so much excitement. He wanted to throw it to Eaglepaw again, but would that be the right thing to do, considering that there were four cats in the game?

  • JasperStar watched the two toms for a moment, chuckling to himself and getting to his paws. "Well, duty calls. I should organize some hunting patrols so we don't go hungry tonight. You three enjoy your game." He meowed. Maizeykit had some play mates now, or at least something interesting to watch.

  • Maizeykit sighed to herself as JasperStar announced that he had to go, but gave no argument against the decision. Even a kit understood the leader had many important tasks to attend to. It was sure nice of him to spend his extra time playing with them, though. "Thank you, JasperStar! It was lotsa fun to play with you." The nearly corn colored kitten purred, switching her attention away from the two apprentices temporarily. The game was really between Eaglepaw and Kestrelpaw now, and Maizeykit was fine with that. All the energy she had expended during the game left her feeling a bit exhausted, and the kit's nap time was coming up soon. She just had to find out who would win though! Maizeykit glanced back at the apprentices and meowed to ask if they still wanted to play. "I think Eaglepaw Is winning right now... Do you wanna try and break the score, Kestrelpaw? Or should we crown our winner?" She smiled gaily.

  • Kestrelpaw smiled weakly. Of course he didn't like losing - nobody did, but he had expected it from the start. Heck, even Maizeykit probably could've beaten him, and she was just a kid. But at least he had tried his best, even if he had done nothing but embarrass himself completely. Giving Jasperstar a nod of farewell and then smiling at Maizeykit's question, he focused on Eaglepaw once again. "I hate to admit it, but she's right," he commented, flicking his tail towards the young she cat. "You win, Eaglepaw. I'm glad we didn't make a deal before we started playing - like loser has to clean the winner's nest. I would be dead by now." There, he had accepted his failure. That made Kestrelpaw honorable and nice, right?
