  • Interacting: His Vulpix

    Mentions: Random Pokémon egg

Alwin sat on the beach, he had taken off his cape and it was neatly folded in between his crossed legs. A Pokémon egg sat neatly upon it. He had found the egg on the beach and as a Pokémon breeder his instincts took over, making sure he sat down and waited for either the mother to return or for it to hatch so he could properly care for it. But it was getting quite hot for the young boy and he groaned, causing his alolan Vulpix to stand up and blink at him. "It's alright Fulpix, I'm just hot" he chuckled and petted his Pokémon, they sat next to him and stared up before using icy wind, cooling Alwin off a bit and making him giggle. "Zank you,"

(Didn't need to add the translation this time ^^)

  • "Hm... where to head to, where to head to..."

Camryn adjusted the black-rimmed glasses on her face as she studied the map she was holding. It was of one of the four Alolan islands, though not even she could be sure she was looking at the right one. She walked as she looked, trying to find possible landmarks that were highlighted on the map. She lifted her dark gaze every few moments to make sure she didn't bump into to many people, though there were those couple of unlucky souls who bumped into her leather bag which had it's strap over her left shoulder and was sitting on her right hip.

As she walked along the sidewalk, Cam quickly noticed the golden sands of one of Alola's famous beaches. Forgetting about figuring out where she was, she folded up the map of Melemele island and made her way over to the stone wall that sat just above the beach. She took her time, her brown eyes searching the crowd and picking out details that she deemed important.

Setting down her leather bag, the woman swung her legs over the wall, putting herself into a sitting position in which her legs dangled over the shimmering sand of the beach. She quickly dug through her packed yet organized bag, snatching up a leather-covered book with the word "Alola' etched carefully in it. Pulling out a pen along with the one of many journels, Cam did what she did best and started to sketch and write away about the different things she saw--writing theories about tanned skin of the natives, drawing images of Pyumuku and Togedemaru along with a few words about how well the Sandygasts blended into the fine grains of sand.

  • once rocko is, admittedly, unable to catch a magikarp in his grasp, he's taken instead to people watching. the child's eyes fall to cam, watching her scribble away without a care. he'd spied her on the beach multiple times before, but even he didn't have the heart to interrupt her deep concentration on her apparent work. though, as many children would be, rocko found himself curious as to what really was written in that notebook of hers. was she drawing? taking notes on the scenery? perhaps, he'd have to strike up a conversation with the introduction of his own doodles! he'd been keen on rather crudely sketched pencil art of alola's pokemon, and its people. perhaps, he'd have the gall to. but, for now, he leaves her be in turn for the man who holds the egg. he's rushing across the beach towards the unsuspecting alwin, skipping along before managing to skid himself to a stop. his eyes befall cam for another beat, before offering her a wave. rocko beams alwin a semi - toothed smile, in exchange giving him his own waved greeting. many of said teeth had since fallen out, but it was the honest thought that counted. ❛ hiya', mista'! ❜ a finger points to the egg alwin sits besides rather inquisitively, the child's staraptor finally landing besides his partner, throwing up a fair amount of the beach's sand. ❛ wuh - what kinda' egg is 'dat?

  • If there was anyone who wouldn't want to waste a perfectly warm day, it was Eulalie Lin. She leaned over the balcony railing of her apartment, breathing in the salty ocean air, a satisfied smile on her face as she watched the day break into life. It was days like these that reminded and reinforced her decision to stay on Alola's tropical islands rather than move back to Johto when her parents went into retirement. She had built her life around these waters, on sunny days just like this one, and she wasn't ready to give that up just yet. Besides, she had a new addition to her team, and she needed to get them in the water as frequently as she could. "Quari, we're going to the beach!" she announced cheerfully, sliding her balcony door shut as she went back in to gather her things.

It wasn't long before Lali was standing with her feet buried in the burning sand, grinning happily at the waves crashing upon the shore. She glanced around, her dark brown gaze sweeping over the faces of the others enjoying the beach. "Pretty crowded today, huh?" she murmured aloud, receiving a grunt of agreement from her partner Golduck who stood at her side. Together, the two were able to set up pretty quickly. But rather than Lali resting on the sand underneath an umbrella, it was Aquarius who got himself comfortable, while his trainer planned to dive in. "I'll be out there probably at least an hour until our new friend is a bit more comfortable. I'll check in when I can, but you can always holler if you need me." The Golduck nodded its head before flopping back into the shade, shutting its eyes in a moment of relaxation. "Well then, we're off!"

Lali made her way to the edge of the water, letting the water wash over her feet for a moment before she waded in, going deep enough in that she couldn't touch the ocean floor and keep her head above the water. It was then that she tapped to center of a pokeball at her side, releasing first Ri, her Dewgong, and then Diem, the baby Lapras that had only just hatched a couple weeks previously. Lali stroked the top of Diem's head, her company comforting him so that he didn't get nervous hearing the shouts of the other beachgoers. Ri swam up beside her, holding still a moment so that Lali could wrap an arm around the Dewgong, her pokemon helping her to keep up with Diem as the Lapras began its swimming exercises. Lali smiled, gently encouraging the baby pokemon as it continued to test out different motions, keeping close by as it got intimidated by the larger waves and other pokemon lurking beneath the surface. "You're doing great!" she said brightly, tossing Diem a treat as it completed a more complicated maneuver.

They went on like that for some time, practicing basic movements and working on more difficult motions until finally it was time they took a break. Lali eyed the crowded shore for a moment before deciding to swim to one of the empty piers, hoisting herself up onto the dock while her two pokemon floated on the surface of the water. She cupped her hands around her eyes, scanning the coast to see what Quari was up to, but as far as she could see, he was still loafing around. He earned a break every now and then, of course, after being her partner for so many years, but she made a mental note to take him out to sea with her the next time, just the two of them. She sighed contentedly, leaning back as she propped herself up on her elbows, eyes focused on the clouds drifting above them in such a carefree manner. She much preferred the ocean to the air, but she had to admit that it looked pretty peaceful up there. A noise from her team members brought her back down to earth, and she smiled, tossing the pair of them a couple more snacks. "Just a little longer and then we'll wrap it up and head back in to shore."

  • "It's not the heat Raine, it's the humidity," Aiden responded to his coworker's complaint. His face donned a pair of sunglasses, and in his hand was a lemonade. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, and his pants were cut off at about shin height. "While I do question the wisdom of wearing all black in one of the hottest and brightest regions, It's more your own fault for not coming prepared." He lifted up his shirt to reveal a white shirt underneath. "Cotton undershirts do wonders in this heat. Yeah, you would think layering would make you hotter, but the cotton actually absorbs sweat and disperses heat much better, especially when there is a constant breeze like there is here."

  • Interacting: Rocko, Starraptor

    Mentions: ^

Alwin flinched as he heard someone run up, sand hitting his legs from the movement. His head snapped upwards, staring at Rocko. His eyes seemed wide in concern and fear, he thought Rocko was going to try and fight him, though the Pokémon breeder calmed down when he greeted him. "Hello! I'm not sure vhat Pokémon zis is, I found it on zee beach alone, I'm waitink for its mother, or for it to hatch," His vulpine stopped cooling him and looked up at the starraptor, blowing some Cole air at the Pokémon instead. "Uh, how old are you? Vhere's your parents?" Alwin was trying to strike up a conversation with the boy but also was concerned if Rocko had strayed to far from his parents, if he even had any.

  • what 'da hell! no one tells me about 'dis! ❜ raine grumbles in annoyance, crossing his arms over his chest in a rather childish gesture. it was true that... he would never be coined as the brightest among the three admins. he had knowingly ended up dropping out of school at sixteen, and it wasn't much like he went before that anyhow. so, to anyone, he could easily be considered simpleminded; instead of relying on the intelligence he doesn't have, he goes with wherever his emotions drive him. raine's eyes shift back from the ground and up to aiden, pulling his cap back onto his head. ❛ well, shit. mind tellin' me 'dis next time we go out? you know i'm kinda'... slow! yeesh, i hate 'dis region - ❜ the man's heavy gaze befalls the beach, lip curling in a sign of annoyance. what were they supposed to be monitoring? some grunts cutting the tails off of slowpokes? ❛ i can't believe the bigwigs went for 'dis! this is shit we did in johto, an' we got caught for it!

rocko plops down before alwin, easily crossing his little legs. the boy keeps himself from replying at first, eyes picking up to see his staraptor's reaction to the vulpix. avro simply furrows his feathers, a huff of bemusement echoing from somewhere within his beak. ❛ eight! ❜ rocko finally answers the other, sounding oddly proud to have answered the simple question. ❛ they're at home! they let me go to the beach today, alllll by myself! ❜ though, the child seems even more delighted to reveal this information. perhaps, it made him feel like an adult of sorts. though, even he can tell alwin is going to be slightly jarred by these answers, and he gives avro a nice scratch under the neck. ❛ don' worry! we ain't afraid a' team rocket or nothin'!

  • Interacting: Rocko

Mentions: Team Skull, Aether Foundation, Giovanni

Alwin was getting worried at each answer till the last statement Rocko said. "Vait-- Team Rocket?" He seemed to become panicked, he didnt go out often so he didn't notice the growth in sightings of the members. He noticed the few that resided on the beach and hugged his Vulpix, the Pokémon licking under his chin. "I zought zat Team Skull was the baddies around here." He wasn't scared of Team Skull, since his dad worked at Aether Foundation and told him that nothing bad would happen to him. But Team rocket terrified him, he knew of Giovanni and the man seemed terrifying to him, so he concluded his followers would be merciless criminals. "Do you zink I'll be safe? I only have my Fulpix, Vhimsicott and Dedenne."

  • //Gonna post this as a sort of a bump and to possible move this forward??

Cam looked up from her journal to allow her gaze to analyze more of the surrounding terrain, her gaze, while calculating, also sparked with excitement and joy. She scanned the faces of the people around her, attempting to see the differences between them along with the differences and uniqueness of the Pokemon at their sides. However, as her eyes reached a group of three people, all very different from one another.

The first one that she spotted was a woman, seemingly the only woman in the small group. Her hair was a sunny pale blonde while her eyes were a magnifying ruby red, however the atmosphere around her seemed very different. She seemed cold yet collected, a vibe she noticed that she felt when in the presence of most ghost type Pokemon.

Beside her was someone she didn't know how she felt towards. The tan-skinned man was holding a drink of some sort and sported dark sunglasses, shielding his eyes from the hot Alolan sun. He gave off a familiar vibe, however the young woman couldn't pick out exactly where she knew the brown-haired man from.

Giving up on trying to identify him, Cam let her eyes land on the last group member, someone with a strikingly familiar outfit. This time, she was able to identify exactly where the familiarity came from. Team Rocket? Camryn didn't know what someone wearing an outfit like that was in the Alolan region. As a Kanto native, she recognized that outfit all too well. However, she could clearly see the difference. Instead of the casual red 'R' on the uniform, there were multiple colors, seemingly all the colors of the rainbow. She squinted her eyes, trying to get a closer look to see if there was more to it.

Ah! I'm staring! Startling herself, Cam turned away, looking back down instinctively at the book in her hands. Maybe that's normal here? Wondered Cam, clutching the pencil in her hand. Blinking down at the book for a few moments, Camryn nodded to herself and started to document the sighting of the uniform, wanting to remember it so she could use the information later. Every now and then she glanced back over at the group of three--the one wearing the uniform with the rainbow 'R' in particular--so she could make as many notes, drawings and other forms of documentation as she could in as much detail as she could.

—— If you hesitate you will lose. *:・゚✦

Red ruby eyes glared at the kid in front of her, the fool saw the Banette beside her and thought a mere bug Pokémon could beat it. Feeling as her friend wasn’t getting the right respect she battled the kid and won the battle with an easy blow she tch’ed at the kid’s crying and walked away it was his fault for thinking he could beat her. She smiled at Banette who bumped into her leg and looked up at her, “how about the beach huh, we could have some fun” she said to the ghost and watched it jump around screaming ‘Banette, Banette, Banette’ she laughed silently at the ghost before walking ahead. She looked down at her partner to see it following along happily. Now if the stupid heat would go away she would also be just as happy as her Pokémon but she kept her mouth shut.

She sighed as she looked up at the sun she was glad for the shorts but the long sleeves were annoying, she continued to walk as she rolled them up to her elbows and soon found the beach. She saw Banette run off to two people wearing all black ‘coworkers’ she thought as she followed her Pokémon and was able to catch the last of what Aiden said and what Raine said “He is right, you shouldn’t have to be told the fact that the sky is blue and the sun was glaring hot should be an indicator that you should try to find a way to dress cooler” she said as she pooped up out of nowhere. As she talked she felt eyes staring and leaving multiple times she looked around and saw a girl with a sketch pad and silently signaled Banette to go steal it or find what’s on it. She looked at the other two members and kept silent.

Banette knew his mission so he practically disappeared from sight and a moment later he appeared in front of the girl. “Banette” he said to the girl, the zipper part of his face making a large smile as his eyes were fixed on the girl, he would not fail his mission.
