  • The kitsune never was one for using practice dummies for practice, mainly due to her lack of sight. Mika called, "Anybody want to spar? Or are you afraid the blind kitsune will beat you?" She added the last part in a teasing tone, waiting in a grassy area that was somewhat like a park in Solar City. Her tails twitched as she listened to see if anybody had taken interest, eyes bright even though she could not see.

  • Amatus had just made his way into the capitol city of Sunclan and already someone was asking people to spar with her. Instantly the serval felt the urge to fight the pale kitsune, but upon her announcing her blindness he started to second guess this decision. The swordsman hardly wanted to test himself against a blind person. There would hardly be any challenge to it and even less honor in defeating them. But the serval found himself padding over the the blind kitsune, seeing that nobody else had offered to take up her challenge.

"Afraid of some blind old fox? Hardly." He said with a small smile and a tone of playful confidence as he took up her challenge. He then unbuckled his sword belt and undid the tie of his cloak before tossing them into a small pile, the hilt of the sword making a clatter that made the serval cringe a little. He then recovered his confident grin and slid into a loose stance. "Tell me, what are the rules of this engagement My Lady?" He asked, hoping that perhaps the blind kitsune would surprise him.

  • "Paw to paw, only nipping, and no claws of any sort. Oh, and try not to kill each other or destroy SunClan. Whoever pins the other to the ground for three seconds wins." The kitsune's tails twitched, if he hadn't been joking, she would've hit him hard. "You want the first move?"

  • He nodded in understanding, despite the fact that the alabaster kitsune couldn't see him. Paw to paw he had expected, plus he wouldn't use his sword in a spar unless if his opponent was armed or insisted. A sharp sword with nothing to use to block its attack with was deadly, it was often recommended to spar with dull sword if you were going to use any at all. No killing was rather obvious, but he had to chuckle when she mentioned destroying sunclan. He had a feeling that if he had the ability to destroy sunclan, there would be far less anti-clans in the world.

"Please, you're too kind my Lady." He said graciously, his grin turning into a soft smile as he accepted her offer. Although he was all too aware that the kitsune most likely wanted him to strike first. For now though, he thought he would play into her plan. He was rather curious as to what she could do. "Engarde!" He shouted to announce the start of the fight before his long leg swiftly closed the distance between himself and Mika. Amatus then lead with a punch from his right paw followed by another blow dealt by his left paw. To abide by the kitsune's rules, he made sure his long claws were sheathed so as to not hurt the kitsune too much.

  • The kitsune had something that resembled a grin, ducking in time so the first paw just barely missed her, and could hear the air whistling as his left paw came closer, but it managed to get the side of her face. Mika attempted to sweep his front paws out from under him, listening to where he landed, so she wasn't likely to miss. The claws she had weren't long, she depended more on her teeth.

  • Amatus was genuinely surprised when his first blow failed to connect. He had hoped for something like this, but he supposed he had still been doubtful. Luckily he hadn't completely missed and his second blow made contact. It wasn't often that the serval found himself fighting without his sword, but he had to admit there was a certain pleasure to hitting someone. The serval was even more surprise to find that a heartbeat after his paw connected with the kitsune's face, the remaining front paw was swept out from under him. It attack had caught him unawares, since the length of his sword normally meant such moves weren't made on him, but being so close, it was an obvious chose now that he thought about it.

The spotted wild cat fell hard, his face meeting the soft earth that made up the ground. Instead of getting up, Amatus rolled onto his back and took advantage of his new angle of attack, aimed two light jabs at Mika's chin. He would rather have the kitsune put some distance between them before he attempted to get back up on his paws.

  • She had stopped focusing for the moment, and only noticed his attack when it was too late. Both jabs hit her, and though it didn't draw blood, it did hurt a bit. She took advantage as well and jabbed him on the chin as well before he could try a third, jumping back. Tails twitching in anticipation, she waited for him to make his next move.

  • He winced a moment as the kitsune retaliated with her own attack. Although that didn't shake the taste of success from the serval as Mika backed away, giving him the space he wanted to get back up. So rolling back onto his stomach, Amatus pushed himself back onto his paws, shaking the dirt out of his pelt as he did so. "You are rather impressive so far my lady. Also I'm afraid I haven't caught your name yet, I'm Amatus Casus." He said with a small flourishing bow, despite the fact that the alabaster kitsune could not see him.

After giving her ample time to reply, the serval would then dart forward yet again, but instead of attacking her as before. Amatus sidestepped and stopped beside Mika before slamming his body weight into her to try to cause her to lose her balance.

  • "Mika. Just Mika." It seemed the serval didn't know that distance was also an advantage for her as well. She could feel his pawsteps, but didn't move in time to avoid him. She rolled before he could try to pin her, getting up, and pretended to try to swipe at his face, not making contact. "If that hit, you'd be as blind as me." Mika teased.

  • Amatus huffed a bit as he stomped down a moment too late and missed the kitsune as she rolled away from him. he advanced on the pale kitsune, but stumbled back as she swiped out a paw aimed at his face. "Well, luckily that isn't the case." He replied grinning, quite glad that he hadn't made a fool of himself and avoided the blow. From what he could tell from the fight so far, they were just about neck to neck, trading blow for blow. The blind kitsune was rather impressive, especially for someone who couldn't see. He assumed she used a sort of super senses or something to detect his moves or something of the like. Amatus again closed the distance between them and aimed a jab at Mika's nose in some sort of attempt to disorientate her. Then he'd get closer to attempt to give Mika a soft nip on the neck.

  • Really, she should've learned from the first time he pulled that, but she ducked, and her managed to nip her on the neck. She responded by pretending to sweep his hind legs out, and then trying to sweep his front out.

  • This time he was ready for the leg sweep, so when she moved to sweep his hind legs out from under him he jumped back out of reach. Although due to the awkar position he had put himself in he was helpless as she immediately swept his front legs out from under him. As he fell to the ground yet again, he gurnted in minor annoyance that she had managed to get him into this position yet again. Although this time Amatus attempted to sweep Mika's legs out from under her and then tried to get on top of her to pin her to the ground.

  • Mika had jumped, ready to pin the serval down and win, but before her hind legs left the ground, they were swept out from under her. "Not fair, that was my move!" Mika complained, but there was a hint of laughter in her voice.
