Life had always been interesting to him. It had always been interesting for him to see the difference in the way that creatures acted compared to Soul Society and the world of the living. It felt like years since he been back in Soul Society. Was the organization worrying about him? Considering that he was the one that ran everything that would probably be so. The creature had to make sure that everything was going okay despite everything that was happening to him. There were so many new faces in Hawkclan that he wasn't really sure how to react to such things, but he did his best. He was trying to hide the fact that he was getting worse each passing day. It had literally just been a couple of days since he had adopted his new daughter. That almost sounded weird to have in his thoughts but that's what they were to each other now. Father and daughter. It felt strange to have a daughter by his side now, and he hoped that it would stay that way instead of be what happened to his two previous daughters that were slaughtered in front of him. That was still something he was afraid of have happen. The wildcat had made his way toward the edge of the territory, where there was a less dense amount of redwoods in that area, as he wanted to let his body into the sun. As he limped toward the direction of where he wanted to go, his body suddenly stiffened. He clenched his jaw, and tried to shake the familiar feeling down, until his limbs almost buckled from underneath him. His jaws parted as the familiar white liquid dripped from his jaws almost having the same consistency as thick plaster. Once the substance was done dripping from his jaws and when his body was done wrenching, Ichigo went into what sounded like a coughing fit for a couple of minutes, his breathing starting to get slightly heavy before he covered up the strange vomit with a good amount of dirt. It didn't really have a smell too it, probably because it wasn't anything really natural. He continued walking, and of course didn't notice as the white portion of his face, the coloration started to spread all the way to his shoulder, and the white portions of his paws started to spread up toward his elbow. Finally he arrived in the clearing, and the armored cougar laid himself down with a loud thud in the grass, sun reflecting off of his armor as he did so. A heavy sigh escaped the male's jaws as he looked down at his paws, and tried to concentrate as he laid there. From the trees, came a black and purple hued butterfly. He hadn't used one of them in ages, and to anyone that was just looking at him, they thought that the butterfly would just be interested in someone. While in fact, it was a means of communication between the Shinigami. Which they usually used through telepathy or speaking to it. When it landed on his white paw, the cougar seemed to stare at his as he concentrated. Despite not getting anything from the butterfly.

It still was insane to think about. She had a dad, a real dad. He had adopted her and she'd accepted it and everything had gone perfectly. It was crazy to think that she hadn't even ever thought about adoption before. So sudden and so, so surprising. She was still shocked when it came across her mind. Ichigo was her dad. I wonder where Dad is. She was trying to train her mind into calling him 'Dad' so that her own tongue would adapt too. She wondered if he'd find that too weird. She kinda hoped not because she really wanted to do it. It would make the whole thing even more real, if the obvious connection between them wasn't enough already. Littlestar limped towards the sound of the coughing. She knew it was him he had those fits every now and then. His state really was worrying her. And the white stuff all over his fur was.. really odd. Frightening even, because she'd never seen it before.

There he was, lying on the ground. She frowned upon noticing that more white had crept up his body. What the hell was it anyways? Maybe he was controlling it with fur color manipulation as she knew there to be such a thing. Shaking her confusion off, the small tabby comes closer, peering at the prettily colored butterfly sitting on his paw. Littlestar lies down besides him with a soft thud and stretches out her three scarred legs, tail stub wagging like an excited puppy. Her golden eyes were calm as she looked at his face and then realized there were still unanswered questions. That whole period he hadn't been here.. nearly an entire here. She'd never gotten to know why? If he was hurt or captured or... or if he was just staying away because of her. The Monarch rests her head against a soft pillow of grass and exhales gently. "D.." Geez, it's hard, but you're gonna have to get used to it and he is too. ".. Dad. I need to know something." She thrums her paws against the ground, not waiting for his reaction to the first time calling him 'Dad'. "Where.. were you? I never got to know." Her tone is curious. She's assuming it can't be that bad, right? It wouldn't be anything that would make her sad or angry. Well, he was gone for nearly a whole year. Whatever the reason was, it had to be big. But maybe it wasn't bad.

(they will forever be the best!)

Were they even searching for him? Ichigo knew for a fact that they were. Because even when he had lost his powers a while back, they had been trying to find him, wondering where he could have hid from them and why. Turns out when he did meet someone else that was like him, it was Rukia. The female told him that the Shinigami wanted him back in place with the rest of them, up until the point that he told her that he didn't have his powers anymore. It was a surprise that she was able to find him at all with the mess of the clans that were always around. The cougar also was surprised to realize that the organization didn't even know that he actually died. It was him dying that ended up with him losing his powers and being reincarnated. He should be lucky that he actually remembered who he was, because usually when a Shinigami got reincarnated, it simply meant that their soul was practically recycled and they wouldn't remember who they were. He always seemed to have interesting things happen to him. He couldn't open a passage to go to Soul Society, and if he knew he could it would mean that they would probably run tests on him to see why he was acting so strangely. It was only a matter of time until his condition started to get much worse, and he had to figure out a cure and fast. He knew that with him gone, his second in command would probably take care of everything and the captains would probably fight with each other on what to do.

Ichigo wished that he could have control over the white portions of his fur. He used to, but right now there was something going on the inside of his body that he couldn't tell anyone. There were reasons why he was constantly scratching in certain areas. But it was something that even he himself couldn't figure out when his senses were all out of control. He would have been able to track down a Shinigami a long time ago if he had the capabilities of being able to sense the energy that always came from them. He was trying to concentrate on the butterfly on his paw. He rarely ever used these things, opting to use his telepathy to communicate with the organization. With his powers not being able to be used though this was his only choice. His brow furrowed and he let out a frustrated sigh when he couldn't communicate with the damn thing. He raised a paw that wasn't the one with the butterfly on it and rubbed the front of his face. At least he had enough power to actually summon the thing right? It was hard for Ichigo to remotely find any positive with this though. His different colored ears would turn themselves in the direction of someone walking toward him. At this point he grew to recognize the steps of his adopted daughter. No, not adopted daughter. Just daughter. He never liked to the word adopted, which is what exactly Thurio had taught him to do when he was adopted into the family. They were family and nothing else. He wasn't going to be in a panic if the female saw the butterfly on his paw, so he turned his head to look at her once she laid down next to him. Immediately he put on the kind of mask that he used to.

Today wasn't one of his greatest days with his condition. A grin was spread across his facial features, as he waited for her to speak, as it was obvious on her face that she had something she wanted to ask. The Shinigami heard the term used to address him, and it made a tingle go up his spine. Something that wasn't exactly bad, but it was a new feeling, that made the sides of his lips tug upward. He never wanted to admit it, but it was something that he had always missed being called. And there it was. He knew the time was going to eventually come, and his facial features returned to looking neutral again. A heavy sigh escaped his jaws as his mind reeled to try and figure out how to actually explain this to her. Everyone he told ended up dead. But didn't she deserve to know? They've known each other for a year now, even if when he was young they were still there. Ichigo clenched and unclenched his jaw for a couple of moments before finally speaking. "A... a lot happened I guess you could say. I was traveling around to different clans, offering my help. My... job... I guess you could say had me go far away to take care of somethin'. I didn't really have much of a choice in the matter, and it was only recently that I woke up in Blizzardclan out of nowhere. Which makes no sense. Because where I was, I was at least a weeks journey away from being here again. And I got.... sick with something. Something I don't even know is making me sick." He tried to keep it vague. But at the same time he knew it would just ultimately lead to more questions. He was just biding his time. Biding it until he needed to tell her the actual truth. However, his voice was calm while he spoke.

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ Just as he'd missed being called it, she missed saying it. Littlestar hadn't really said the word a lot in her childhood despite having two fathers. Her main parent, Rick, had been murdered when she was very young, still in the Exiles. Circusclown on the other hand? She hadn't even known he was her father until after Rick died. Then he revealed it to her, that she was just a product of two drunken and severely depresssed adults. He tried to be nice about it but it had really pissed her off. Eventually, she'd gotten closer to him but it all went to shit when he watched her get beaten up by Blindfold. He then stepped down from the Exiles. She never saw him again... up until BlizzardClan. He apologized, truly, sincerely, and she finally called him Dad. And just as she was beggining to smile again with him, he went missing from her life a second time. Ichigo entered her life sometime before Circusclown disappeared, just as she joined HawkClan. They hadn't been much at first, just friends and he protected her like he did with everyone. But slowly they evolved into something closer. She didn't just want to help him but she wanted to make him happy again, truly happy. And they did get very close, the kind that could only be labelled under 'father and daughter' close. But then he went missing too.

You bet her life went down the drain. For others it wouldn't seem that way considering she'd stepped up as Leader and had friends but she never wanted to, at least, not like that. She wanted him by her side. It had broken her to slowly figure out he wasn't coming back. Oddly, a small sliver of hope remained in her heart but it had nearly been forgotten. His face was getting blurry and she cried. Only recently had he returned and even more recently, had he adopted her. It made it official. It didn't diminish the loss of her real parents and it certainly didn't take away those years of suffering without a proper parental figure but she made it, hadn't she? Hadn't she? Littlestar swallowed, her throat growing unnaturally dry as he began to explain. It was.. for a job? She was listening, she was, but it didn't make sense. He left her for a stupid job? And he didn't even properly explain what that was? She didn't understand, she didn't. Her brow muscles furrow together and the tabbys muscles grow taut with frustration and confusion. Her golden eyes grow dark and the light mood is gone. "Stop being vague." The Monarch grumbled. "I deserve to know the real truth. Not just.. not just a fucking 'job'. Whatever it is, I can take it. Even if it's dumb and fucking stupid." Anger edged her voice. A whole year of pent up grief and rage and loss with his disappearance was shining in her face. She felt a lump in her throat but refused to let her dad see what was going on behind the front of rage. She didn't like that he was sick. She assuming it was just a passing one though but every day it seemed to get worse. She wanted to say that he'd be fine but she was too stuck on his reason for that. She didn't stand up or straighten but remained lying down, dark waves rolling off of her.

i don't fight because i want to win, i fight to win!

    (Omg Seina I'm CRYING

ALSO BEFORE A SHIT TON OF DIALOGUE I'M SORRY ICHIGO JUST LET ALL OF IT SPILL OUT)

The life a Shinigami wasn't something that was nice to deal with. Some beings in the Soul Society thought that they were pampered and just had to sit around just reading the reports and not doing anything about them. Shinigami died every single day of their life. The cougar had been on the patrols that they did in the different worlds of the living, and even in Hueco Mundo if they were tasked to go to the other dimension to take over some creatures that were there. Ichigo had been to that retched place once, the place that was nothing but a white desert with no sun to give it any light. Just constantly in night. Ichigo though originally when he first joined the organization, that it would make his life a whole lot easier. But thanks to who he was related and what others would end up thinking of him, that wasn't about to happen. The cougar was treated as a threat initially, as no one was really allowed to give mortal Shinigami powers. But he was already half-Shinigami so the rule didn't really apply. Luckily the one that had awakened the powers were able to clear things up so that he wouldn't immediately be slaughtered once they found out about him. It was during this time that Ichigo had been taught about how dangerous Hollows actually were. Those that didn't have specialized powers wouldn't be able to see them. They could try to fight against them, but if they didn't know where to hit, then it would make them easy prey. If someone was able to see them, they didn't look all that nice. Their entire bodies black like tar, and a white mask that covered their face, soulless empty void of eye sockets staring back at them. Hearing the sound of a Hollow roar was enough to chill him to the bone in his first encounter. Yet he learned quickly, and was able to quickly learn how to dispatch the Hollows.

Ichigo had been adament back in the day about really killing anything. He never wanted to kill anyone unless they were prey and that was a different matter. But killing someone even if it was a spirit? An evil spirit for that matter? The cougar didn't think that he would be able to stomach something like that. He wasn't a killer. Then he got an explanation that he wasn't really killing anything. Instead, as long as it was killed with the sword that he always had with him, the spirit wouldn't exactly be killed. And instead the Hollow would be cleansed of any sins that it committed after becoming a Hollow, which most spirits couldn't really end up avoiding because too many animals and beings died each day for each Shinigami to keep track of. The cougar didn't have any problems when it came to using his sword against the Hollows from that point on. However, there were several instances that serial killers and murderers would end up becoming Hollows once they died in the world. And if he killed them with his sword, it would just mean that he could only cleanse the sins after they became a Hollow. Therefore, the spirit was sent to rot in Hell. A place that he had never been before, but he had seen the gates of hell and never wanted to go anywhere near it. It made his life easier, but didn't make it easy on him when he was constantly questioned why he always had so much gear on him. Back in the day he only had his sword and nothing else, which meant that he had less to really worry about when it came to gaining the looks that he got from others. Ultimately, his secret got out to a couple of his friends that were in the clans, and there were even some that were able to figure out who weren't even his friends, but someone that he had to save. The most recent encounter the clans had with a Hollow since he had been around in Hawkclan, had been when Aurorapaw had gotten attacked by one of them close to the haunted shrine that was in the territory. But everyone he ended up telling his secret, where were they? Exactly. All of them were dead. That isn't to say that Hollows ended up getting to them, as Hollows could evolve to be intelligent instead of killing machines that couldn't talk. They could evolve and get stronger, stronger than Ichigo himself if they really tried long enough to get to that power. There were reasons why he never told anyone what he was. There was a risk to everything that he said. They were immediately put in danger.

It didn't matter if he was the commander of the organization. They had a government that could overrule his actions and he would have no choice but to agree with them. That had only happened once though, and he was more than happy to try and keep his secret away from his friends. How did they think that Cambrian nearly died back in the day in the old territory? Fraiser nearly lost his life because of being associated with him, immediately making him a target for more powerful creatures. Keylime got his head chopped off, because the other was simply his friend and the chains wanted him to feel pain. There were more threats than just Hollows themselves, although Hollows were more common. His own CHILDREN. Died. Because they were captured by Hollows and had a small spiritual energy to them. Every being in the world had spiritual energy that was tied to them, even if they were just regular mortals compared to the creatures that he came across that told him they were gods. Which gods were usually able to tell other gods apart. Ichigo had nothing but bad luck when it came to those that were getting close to him, and he never wanted to have a repeat of those days. But now, did he really have much of a choice? At his age, he was tired of keeping everything a secret even if Littlestar didn't have a clue of what he was really talking about. It sounded dumb yes, but it was incredibly dangerous. His two different colored ears pinned against his chest as he looked down at the ground. He had honestly been dreading this day, knowing that the female would probably just ask more and more information from him once he told her enough. He bit the inside of his lip, before he exhaled sharply. She was right, but he wasn't sure what her response would end up being. Something supernatural after all didn't happen all that much when it came to the clans. Ichigo would slowly move himself into a standing position, his head craning as he grabbed the hilt of his blade. As soon as his mouth touched the hilt, the cloth that surrounded it as a makeshift sheathe unwrapped itself. His movements weren't even remotely threatening as he grabbed the blade, and lowered it onto the ground instead of stabbing it. What he was going to say was going to be very important after all. Almost like it was something he did everyday, he came to sit on the sharp side of the black and silver blade that was now between him and his daughter, placing one of his offwhite paws on him.

"I don't think I... properly explained to why I always carry a sword around. This specifically has a special name to it because it isn't... exactly like a regular sword. It was something that was crafted, from my own soul that manifested itself into this blade." Ichigo would explain, gesturing to his chest before back down onto the blade again. "The term it goes by is Zanpakutou, Japanese term obviously. It's so important to me, that if I were to die, the blade would also get destroyed as well, because its connected to me. It also has a name, more like a he since after being crafted from my soul it manifests into a form, his name being Zangetsu. Tensa Zangetsu in his other form but I'll get to that in a minute. There's also another soul that's there, but that's also a discussion for another time." He knew that this was probably going to be a flood of information, but she wanted the truth so she was going to have it. Clearing his throat, knowing that he was probably going to lose his voice after all of his was done. "Zanpaktou belong to what is called Shinigami. They go by many names. Death God's, grim reapers, they're all through different cultures honestly. I have been a Shinigami since I was around one year old. I'm six years old if that gives you an idea." He paused before he finally said the term of the actual creature that he was. It was a big deal for the Death God to admit something like this. Hell, it was against the laws by the organization to reveal any information about this. "And to get it out of the way, I don't go around killing people and reaping their souls. That's a common misconception with us. Our job is to protect the world of the living. Everyone in it. Its our job to make sure that anything supernatural happens, we take care of it. Now... I don't know if you can see spirits or not, its a power of Sight that you probably know about. I've had it since I was just a cub, and there are these spirits that most clanners can't see. These spirits are what we call Hollows. They are extremely deadly and feast on the living or dead. The only way they can be killed is with a Zanpaktou. If someone doesn't have a strong enough ability to see spirits like some animals do, then they won't see a Hollow and are usually killed pretty quickly." The topic of Hollows were a touch subject for him. The black tip of his tail tapped on the ground as both of his eyes seemed to flash a silver color for a couple seconds before he continued.

"I only originally came to the clans because the one cat that revived my powers told me that they would need help. Violent clans equal a lot of death. Which equals a lot of spirits to have around. We protect those spirits as well, sending them to the afterlife so they don't get infected and become Hollows, or get eaten by them. We call that place Soul Society, but some other religions so its heaven if that gives you a reference of what that is about." Ichigo got off track for a couple of seconds before raising his paw from Zangetsu and touching the front of his face, rubbing the area that had started to go white. A couple seconds passed before he started to speak again. "Anyway, I came to the clans, and did my job there. Everything aside, this was the reason why I left. I'm kind of... the leader of this whole thing. I command others like me. There could be Shinigami in the clans right now that are stationed there to protect them. I was sent on a mission to go out and try to kill one of the Hollows that had the potential to wipe out clans. Obviously... it didn't seem to work considering I came back without my own accord. I still don't yet know what is happening to me, but I can't use any of my powers, I can't try and communicate with the other Shinigami, so I can't get help from them, because whatever is happening to me isn't exactly... natural for better use of the term." Ichigo would let out a low weak chuckle before his face returned to be fairly neutral. Was any of this even making sense to his daughter? Maybe, maybe not, but in the end she was bound to have questions. "Remember that time that I got all these markings on my body? Remember the time that I didn't carry around a sword with me? The time I didn't have a sword was after I died, and got reincarnated, I lost all of my powers of a Shinigami and became mortal again. But, I got my powers back because turns out the Organization can't do all that much without me so they had no choice to bring me back. Despite giving powers to a mortal is against the law and is considered treason. I had someone helping me along the way to get my powers back but it's beyond the point." Ichigo tried to forget about the female that said that he could gain his powers back but ultimately had just used him so that she could get Death God powers herself in the end.

"Despite what the name means, I'm not exactly immortal. I can get injured, I can die, all of that is possible, and the same goes for every Shinigami. We just have a habit of... taking more hits I guess you could say. And... most people don't know this, but I have died before. It was... around two years ago I think, I can't quite remember. Hollows killed me, which were the top tier and they kind of cornered me. Luckily, Shinigami when killed usually reincarnate. They never remember the time that they were a Shinigami, but I guess I got lucky and reincarnated with all of my memories." His death was a touchy subject considering everything that happened to him up to that point. It had been nothing but a constant panic thinking that there would be Hollows after him left and right. After all, others probably still thought he was a Shinigami after all. He flicked one of his ears before he continued, thinking that would be enough for now when it came to an explanation. "All those that know what I am are either dead or gone. I need you to promise me. PROMISE me, if you see anything suspicious, anything, you need to come to me right away. It isn't uncommon for those that are dear to me... to get hurt because of what I know. You could become a potential target for somethin' that you might not even be able to see. O'Fraiser was at one point a victim, but I was quick enough to protect him. I don't tell anyone what I am because it puts them in danger, and it usually makes them paranoid of what they might not be able to see. And, its against the law of Shinigami to even talk about the subject. Which is why I always make up the lie that I got my sword from someone I met up in the mountains. I know it sounds crazy, and I would demonstrate something to you... but I'm not... exactly in the best condition." The Shinigami voice would trail off as his head would hang as he looked down at the blade at his paws. His sword was just like a partner in crime for him. They had been through so much. Now he would have to wait for her reaction. Would she even believe him? He never showed how he could open portals back to Soul Society, he never even showed O'fraiser that either. Would she shun him? Be scared of him? He was the literal aspect of death, and had seen so much of it over his short life. His job wasn't easy, but it was something he needed to do in order to keep everyone protected. Ichigo couldn't look at his daughter though, and the anxiety had built so much his body started to shake. He didn't dare tell her about his own children and how they died.

Littlestar watched him stand up, ears down. She watced him grab at the giant sword with his mouth and especially as the cloth unwrapped itself. She blinked but decided not to comment. She just wanted to hear the truth. That was all. And it seemed he was about to give it to her. Both fear and relief danced in her chest, eager and nervous to hear what he had to say. He sat on the blade, placing his paw on it. Her gaze flickerd from it back up to him, questions in her eyes. What did the sword have to do with anything? His own soul? Manifested into the blade? Remaining silent did she lower her gaze back down to 'Zangetsu'. The sword had a name and a gender. But it had a part of Ichigo's soul in it. She never realized the significant importance of the blade. She knew that he loved it because it was always draped on his back and it seemed to have power but she never realized it was that connected to him, on a more literal level. She doesn't ask questions though, just keeps listening as he explains it all. "Death God's, grim reapers, they're all through different cultures honestly. I have been a Shinigami since I was around one year old. I'm six years old if that gives you an idea." Wait. Littlestars ears unpinned themselves, brow muscles furrowing. She couldn't have heard right. Ichigo.. a Death God? Littlestar didn't even really know what that was but she sure as hell knew what a grim reaper and from what he was saying, he was one of those things. Shock laced her golden eyes, heartbeat thrumming in her ears. Her dad was a death god. It just didn't compute in her head. He didn't seem like one. He didn't have black shadows trailing from his body, he didn't wear a long black hood and he sure as hell didn't have a skeleton face.

Quickly he cleared it up- he didn't go around killing and reaping like grim reapers did. He protected and killed those things called Hollows. She didn't have the sight so she had never seen a spirit before.. but she could just imagine what they looked like. She blinked. The idea that something completely unseen to her eye could come up and kill her at any moment was pretty frightening. She continued to listen as he explained that he was the leader of the Shinigami's. That was... also shocking. Understandable though, he was a leader in every way, but still shocking. "I was sent on a mission to go out and try to kill one of the Hollows that had the potential to wipe out clans." Oh. So he left here, and her, to save the clans. Now that was.. very justified. Again, it didn't take away the year of suffering but it eased her mind. He hadn't left her for something utterly stupid and avoidable.. he hadn't left here because of her.. it had been to save clans. Something that he would do, as a protector. But from what he was saying, his job had failed and his powers were malfunctioning. Scary. She would hate to have her own breaking like his were. So it made sense that he'd accidentally teleported to RiverClan instead of here first. But why was he so sick? Was it something to do with the Hollows? Had they... hurt him or something? She was new to this. She could only make guesses. And besides, he didn't even know himself. It worried her. At his questions, she nodded. He'd died before? Ichigo had died? Her dad had died? She knew people could come back from death, Hestia had done it and she knew many people who could come back from death a thousand times. But the idea was frightening, wasn't it? That someone could just.. die. And it was a gamble on whether or not they came back. She was glad he came back otherwise she never would've gotten to know him. The anger had completely left her at this point and she was snuggled back up, her golden eyes curious and attentive.

"All those that know what I am are either dead or gone. I need you to promise me. PROMISE me, if you see anything suspicious, anything, you need to come to me right away." Littlestar nods again, not quite ready for speaking yet. She does promise. She doesn't know exactly what 'suspicious' entails but she'll take that gamble. She doesn't want to hurt Ichigo in that way, by dying at the hands of one of the hollows. She just knew he'd blame himself should that ever happened. It already seemed that he was blaming himself for whoever died after knowing that he was a death god. She needed to tell him it wasn't his fault but she couldn't find the words. She wasn't going to lie, she wanted to see him demonstrate his death god powers but she knew he was way too weak to even think of doing such an action. He was shaking as he waited for her response. She was shaking slightly too, trying to find the right words. "I believe you." Littlestar said, pushing herself into a sitting position, eyes flickering down the sword that had a piece of his soul infused in it. Her gaze lingered on it for a while and then she looked the cougar in the eyes. "And I promise to tell you if I see anything." She would, no matter what. She just wanted to ease his anxieties. She knew all too well what it was like to blame yourself after someone died. She had with Inu, with Mercy and with everyone else she'd ever known that had died.

EDIT;; WELP I LIED I'M A TERRIBLE PERSON XD)

Back when he was younger, Ichigo wasn't against telling others what he was. At least not really at first. He knew it was against the laws that had been presented for him. His mentor gave him a summary of what their laws came to, as he had never really been given the full list. Now that he knew the full list himself since he ran the place, it simply meant that he knew what to do now and what not to do. Although there was still a chance that he still wouldn't follow what the rules did and then face trial for it later on. The entire organization was treated like a government, that without strict control could mean that everything could break into chaos. Some souls don't join to become a Shinigami from the kindness of their heart. It could mean that they simply want to gain enough power to get powerful enough. There are even those that just want to have riches instead of actually working hard for the cause that they stood for. Some Shinigami could even be fairly corrupted and barely do their job, and instead become spies for the enemy, giving out information most likely to higher tiered Hollows. Which usually did last very long, because the traitors that he had come across usually weren't trying very hard to keep their operation secret. They were usually put in jail from that point on, put on surveillance so that there wasn't a chance that the ones they were giving the information out to would be able to break them out. There were even Shinigami that wanted to simply become killers with the powers that they were able to achieve. Not all of them were good people, but some of them were necessary to keep around, whether because they were strong enough or if that they could be used for other reasons. Ichigo always had to be careful, as he knew that the Captain Commander that was before him had several assassination attempts on his life. It was almost funny, that most of the creatures that tried to kill him were actually other enemies that weren't Shinigami. Sure he had been attacked by Toshiro at one point, but that was because the other had gotten infected. He never blamed his best friend for what he did, as he had attacked others while he had been possessed himself. He knew, but he never remembered exactly what he did.

The first creature to discover what he was had been a wolf by the name Silverstrike. She had been the first friend that he had ever bonded with, which was certainly something because when he joined the clan he didn't exactly know how to socialize. He had never really told her the entire truth, because at the time he was running into issues with Zangetsu and being able to communicate with him. Ichigo was quick to learn that once he wasn't able to communicate with his sword, it meant that there was something wrong either in the area, or that there was something wrong inside of him that would be use for concern. Zangetsu himself despite being made from the soul of Ichigo, was not an exact copy of him. The Zanpaktou taking the form of a black flamed tiger, that was much larger than any other tiger that Ichigo had encountered. Of course, the soul couldn't manifest outside of the world inside of Ichigo's mind, so no one would be able to know what the other looked like unless he actually showed them. Either way, Ichigo finally had to tell the other what he was after they had got into an issue with Hollows that tried to attack her. He trusted her, as she didn't judge him for what he was. She wasn't afraid of him. And in fact she just wanted to help him get better, the reason she decided to do something like that even Ichigo couldn't really know, as he had never asked her. Eventually, the female even became his Vice Captain in the Shingiami organization. He was able to pull some strings with the Central 46, that being the name of the government that could overrule his decisions, and by her wish, she was turned into a Shinigami. Not something that was easy to do after all. She was the second creature in the clan though to actually sport a sword, and he trusted her with everything. She was his first friend after all, and knew everything about him, as he knew that if he lied to her he would probably get some form of scolding and a beating. She didn't take his bullsh*t and would certainly point it out to him. Ichigo still had no idea what had happened to the female. He had thought that she had died a while back, as when he was reincarnated and appeared in Hawkclan for the first time, he was approached by her daughter, who looked exactly like Silverstrike at the time. It was because of Silverstrike though that he had managed to tame the Hollow inside of him for the time being. Just thinking about how long ago that was made him feel like an old geezer.

Ichigo's head practically snapped up from where he was looking at his daughters words. She... believed him? He wasn't sure if that was genuine or if she was just saying that to make him feel better. He would take it though, because he believed that she would come to him if she had any questions for him. The last thing he needed though was for her to ask to become something like him. He never wanted to put that burden on anyone, and would most likely avoid the topic entirely. It had been something that his own sister had brought up to him, which he caved because she said that if he didn't do it, she would just get another Shinigami in the clan, and he knew if she asked any of them they would agree. A wave of relief spread over his body, making his shoulders slump a little bit as they relaxed. A tired grin spread across his jaws, especially as she promised to be careful. He wasn't going to tell her what to do if Shinigami approached her asking for information, as he doubted that they would do such a thing if he told her that she was his daughter. Which they probably wouldn't like, but there wasn't much he could do about it. The over sized wildcat would raise one of his paws and aim to place it on top of the tabby's head. "T..Thanks pipsqueak. It's... a lot to take in I know. If Fraiser was here, he would probably explain it better than I would." A bittersweet chuckle would escape his jaws before he would remove his paw from her head, shuffling the tawny and white appendages under him. He debated what to really tell her next. Was she afraid? She didn't look like it right now, so maybe he should continue with his lecture. "Now that you know, I'm definitely open for any questions you have for me. Anything. I'm tired of hiding it from everyone but its for everyone's protection obviously." The Shinigami would state calmly, giving her a couple of seconds to gather her thoughts to ask her questions before he continued speaking, as there was so much more to go over.

"Now Hollows are even more important to discuss. Even if you can't see them now, there is a chance you'll eventually start to see them, being close to me. Especially now since I'm practically... leaking energy that you can't see since I can't use any of my powers. But there are different tiers of Hollows that one needs to lookout for." It was true, he had heard instances that powerful Shinigami being near mortals could allow them to awaken the ability to see spirits, but it would certainly take time for that to happen. He wasn't even sure if he would want his daughter to see such horrible beasts that could be taller than skyscrapers. "I'll start off with the easier ones. They're called Menos. Yes all of these are going to have weird names. Menos are the most common Hollows we see, they usually take form of regular beings. Such as one could look like a black cat with a white mask and be a Hollow. They usually don't grow bigger than a jaguar usually. Despite being the weakest of the bunch, they usually are around in numbers and can often swarm if one isn't careful." He could go into the usual behavior of Hollows and how to kill them, but he didn't even want his daughter to try and attempt to kill one of them on her own without him around. "Next are Gillians. Now these Hollows are pretty dumb and are just barely above Menos status because they are massive. Like, bigger than a blue whale type massive, so they usually take the form of massive dragons, and usually also have powers at the same time, usually fire projectiles or just stomping on one. They aren't as common of course." Ichigo states with a small shrug of his shoulders. The last time he had fought a Gillian was back in Soul Society and that had been child's play. Not much to worry about considering that most barely moved and they didn't move all that fast. They also usually weren't in the world of the living, remaining in their own dimension unless called out by something else. "Adjuchas are where we get into a dangerous tier. They can easily kill an inexperienced Shinigami. Unless the rest so far, these Hollows are capable of speech, and command Hollows that are in the lower tiers compared to them. So menos and gillians. They usually take the form of larger wildcats and canines, sometimes hellhounds. But most Hollows have the same look, in that they have a dark body and white mask, the mask doesn't have to look like the creature they represent. They also have a hole in the middle of their chest." Hollows were hard to show without an open example. But he wasn't about to bring one to do experiments on in front of his daughter. That was more of Squad 12's deal not his.

"Espada are next. They're smarter and more powerful than the previous teir. The issue with these Hollows is that they blend in with mortals. They look completely different to what a Hollow would look like, and can look like a regular wildcat. But they do have a portion of their mask somewhere on their body, and that's usually the only way to tell them apart. They also have swords like Shinigami do, and they have similar abilities. These are the type of Hollows that only powerful Shinigami can take on, usually captains." Now that was certainly a mouthful. Espada were the more common nuisances that the had fought, and they never liked to fight clean, usually enjoying to fight dirty and not fair. Thanks to all the talking though, Ichigo had to stop for a second and turn his head as he coughed. Luckily no liquids came out of his mouth this time. Clearing his throat, he would roll his shoulders before getting to the things that could easily kill anyone with a simple swipe. "The final tier are the type of Hollows that killed me two years ago. They're called Vasto Lorde. They are extremely rare and not really found except in their own dimension. They also like to keep to themselves. Once awakened, vasto lorde's are usually expressionless on their intent, and can take on different forms just like Espada can. They are also armed with swords, but they can topple mountains if they really wanted to. Luckily they don't come to the world of the living all that much." The cougar would say with a low chuckle. He guessed that he just got lucky on the factor that they decided to appear while he was around to kill him. That had been their goal after all. Now came the more stressful part, as a frown spread across his facial features. He didn't expect his daughter to remember all of this, but giving her enough knowledge may help her if she ever gets into a fight. "Now.... you're probably wondering what is happening to me right now. I partially know what's happening, but I don't understand why its happening." Ichigo's voice trails off for a couple of seconds. And he could swear he could hear laughter in the back of his head, causing his white ear to flick, as if trying to flick away a fly.

"There are certain type of Hollows that are capable... of infecting other creatures. Depending on who gets infected depends on if they die or not. If a mortal gets infected and there isn't a Shinigami around, the body will die. If a Shinigami is around, only turning them into a Shinigami will keep them alive, but that doesn't happen because it's against the law but I've done it before. If a Shinigami gets infected though? Two things can happen." Ichigo would raise one of his paws and show two of his toes on his white paw. "One, the Shinigami will get completely confused and they will become a Hollow themselves, hungry for souls. Two, the Shinigami can suppress the Hollow enough that they will not be consumed by it, and end up being able to control its powers, basically becoming a hybrid of Shinigami and Hollow. Very rare, it doesn't always happen. Those hybrids are technically called Vaziards, yes another weird name but its the term that they came up with back in the day." He knew that he probably sounded like he was going off on a tangent, but there was reason for what he was saying as it would lead up to what was happening. "I'm the second option that what can happen to a Shinigami. Now I wasn't infected by one, but my mentor said that something else happened, with my mother specifically that I can't quite remember. So on top of being a Shinigami... I have this... thing inside of me. It's inside of me whether I like it or not. Any attempt of removal will kill me. Believe me Soul Society has ran tests on those like me before so I'm not alone." Ichigo's eyes seemed to flash a silver color again before returning to their usual hue. He could only imagine what it would be like to be tortured in Soul Society. Those bastards didn't know the word mercy half of the time. "Now.... I'm usually able to control my Hollow quite easily. Boosts my powers like you would think it would, but whatever thing I have, is effecting it. Making it go rampant and I don't know if I can stop it. No I won't die, but it might end up coming out if I don't find a cure sooner or later. Hollows... are aggressive things, and will usually attack relentlessly until its all over. I've always just called my Hollow Hichigo. He looks exactly like me, except he's completely white. He told me before that he was my instincts but I'm not sure to believe that. This is a process called Hollowfication. If Fraiser was here he would be freaking out because he's seen it happen before." Ichigo was trying to make it seem like it might not end up happening, but at the same time he wanted to make sure how dangerous the situation could end up being. "I have control of the bastard usually, but if there are times where I'm emotionally damaged, or if I'm freaking out and my eye starts to turn the color like my right eye, I need you to stay away from me. At all costs okay? I'm usually able take over after a couple of seconds, but a lot can happen in that span of time. I know you probably won't want to stay away from me, but there is also a chance while I'm in the process, usually knocking me out takes care of it, but I don't want you to put yourself in danger around me okay?" Ichigo said, his voice calm, but again it almost sounded like he was pleading. He never wanted anyone to get hurt. There were still several times that Ichigo considered himself to still be a monster like others used to call him. The black tip of his tail began to tap the ground, as he seemed to stop talking, waiting for the other to ask any questions she had no, his lecture finally done. He just wanted to get the topic of Hollows out of the way in case she did end up seeing them in the future.

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ FUDGE HAHAH no it's okayyyy <3 it's good

in this thread she can spill the beans of anti clan, lessa and the kids father c: oo and the exiles takeover and stuff~! they can just bond over everything aahh

Littlestar knew he was relieved at her response and it made her wonder if in the past when he told people, they shunned him for it. That was pretty odd. There was no real reason for him to lie. Why would he? What would he get out of it? Besides, it was her dad she was talking about. He wouldn't lie to her. At the mention of O'Fraiser, she feels a little bit of sadness in her. She never knew where the sea panther went, he just disappeared like everyone else but she had loved his presence. He had been a clan father and a great swimmer and friend. At his inquiry if she has questions, the tabby does little but shake her head. Nope, she is content with simply listening to what he has to say. It's kinda like listening to a story except it's so real. Shinigamis, hollows, everything else. It's all crazy and a little bit frightening. But she can handle it.

Okay, he was moving onto the topic of hollows which seemed to be a rather huge project. Hollows was an umbrella term, she guessed, as he began to break down the different types of hollows. If truth be told, she kinda liked the idea of getting the sight because of her closeness to Ichigo. That would be cool and she'd be able to defend herself easier. Menos. Sounded easier but still, if she couldn't see them then they'd obviously prove hard to kill. Besides she was a 'mortal' like he said. She was already at a disadvantage. Gillians. Bigger then a whale? Well, she'd never seen a whale in real life but she'd seen pictures with comparisons of them next to things and- wow, they were huge. But at least they were dumb. Adjuchas sounded creepy especially seeing as they could talk and they bossed around things the size of blue whales. She woul try and remember what most hollows looked like- dark body, white mask. Espada was even worse then the others. Smart AND they blended in with normal animals. They were practically invicible because of that. How else would you be able to tel- oh, right. A piece of the mask. You'd have to have a keen eye to spot that on a creature. The last was perhaps the most frightening especially because it was the type that ended Ichigo's life. And anyone that could kill Ichigo Kurosaki must be pretty damn powerful. Can topple mountains. She looked off to the side at the volcano where it stood at the edge of the territory, huge and ominous in the distance. It could topple that.

Her gaze flickers back to him when he moves onto the topic of his sickness. So Ichigo was.. was a Vaziard? It was an odd name that reminded her of 'wizard' but she nodded grimly. He was infected but fighting back against it. Thank fucking god, she didn't want to see him become a hollow. "Any attempt of removal will kill me." Littlestar swallows. She doesn't want that to happen. Why does this have to happen when he comes back? Why does the world have to make him infected and with this.. thing in him? She nods at his command to stay away from him should the hollow take over. His tone is serious and she recognizes it- he means what he says. This version of him, Hichigo, was dangerous. But she knew that if that ever happened, it wasn't likely she would stay away. She would do everything in her power to get him out of it and, like he said, she'd probably try knock him out with help from bigger creatures. But she doesn't voice this to him because she only knows he'd be worried about it. Littlestar flexes her black raptor claws and stares at him for a little while, all these words floating around in her head. Death god, hollow, vaziard, target, sickness. It wasn't exactly positive news, was it? But at least it was the truth, just what she wanted. The tabby didn't speak for a while, just sitting there, contemplating everything.
