  • Celeste arrived at the classroom a few moments later, her annoyance not actually directed towards Leo. Most of the students were already there, excluding the students involved in the incident with the witch. Her gaze flitted back towards Leo, as she couldn't help but smile slightly at the sight of him. It was awesome to have a partner like him, one that seemed to trust her regardless of the situation. She was aware that was part of being a weapon, but it was still a thing to be appreciated in her eyes. The teacher instructed them on what they wanted to the pair to do. The first thing would simply be Leo transforming into his scythe form. There were some technical newbies in the class, and they wanted to show the class how more certified meisters did it.

    (Hope this is okay.)

  • When Leo followed Celeste, his eyes moved to the meisters and weapons in the class. He offered a small smile before he took his place besides Celeste, and he glanced to listen to what was to be done. "So, it may seem easy to transform into a weapon, but you have to remember that no matter your weapon form, you have to be able to be on equal wavelengths with your partner, or else they can't wield you. For Celeste, I could feel as light as a feather. If someone else were to wield me, I may feel heavier, depending on how our soul wavelengths decide to match up." He tried to explain the best he could, but it wasn't easy. Showing them was much easier, and so he glanced to Celeste before nodding, and moving to transform into a scythe, reaching for her hand.

  • Celeste remained confident, even if the odd feeling was plaguing the both of them. His explanation seemed to be rather informative to most of the new students, and she knew that Leo cared about school. Ignoring the little act he sometimes put on, he could be an extremely nice person. She simply listened the entire time anyone spoke during the class, as the demonstration with him was a bit later after his speech. It would seem a bit surprising, but she wasn't that nervous with trying this. This would be one of the few times she would display confidence in a public place like this. She grasped his hand, and the process went smoothly for the first part. Though only a few moments later, she could tell something was wrong. Her hands were burning, like they had been scorched in a fire. There was a weight to him that hadn't been present before, and although she didn't intend it to be like that. The whole sensation forced her to her knees, as the pain was far more excruciating than she would have expected. Her grasp on him slipped, not able to handle the pain.

  • Celeste! Immediately Leo was worried. He transformed back into his human form, and looked at her hands, eyes wide. "Our soul wavelengths aren't on the same....." He trailed off, in shock. "But how.." He was sure that they were completely in sync. It didn't make any sense. In order to perform the special technique that no one else had successfully used, they had to be completely on the same page in terms of soul wavelength. And they had used that not too long ago.. So why were they out of sync now?

  • Celeste tried not to cringe, as the pain remained even after a few moments. Her gaze flitted towards Leo, as she looked at him apologetically. Being dropped like would not be pleasant, it had happened so abruptly. "W-Why are the wavelengths not in sync?" She questioned, as some of the instructors went over to them. Suddenly, she had an assumption of what had happened. "T-The witch we killed, I think her spell skewed the soul wavelengths." She said quickly, trying to avoid stuttering as she spoke to him. Earlier she asked him if he was alright, concerned that he had felt that pain. She knew her theory sounded absurd, but it was the only logical conclusion she managed to come to. She didn't want to think that something had broken their partnership on her own actions.

  • It sounded like a logical explanation to Leo. Because at the time, the attack had done nothing, and Leo had been stupid to assume that she just wasn't powerful enough to hurt them. That wasn't the case. In fact, she was genius. It was possible that she had realized she was going to die, and attempted to take them out with her, because it wasn't like they could go into battle without their wavelengths being in sync. Since he didn't want to make Celeste look like a terrible meister, he looked to the class and rubbed the back of his head. "We are your example of what happens when you don't have synced wavelengths." He grinned awkwardly. "We went into battle recently, and a witch ruined our sync, so we are a good example. You don't want what happened with us right now to happen in a battle, or you're dead for sure.." Thankfully Soul and Maka were in the room. "Soul and Maka can show you how to properly transform, how it SHOULD look!" Once their attention was on the other two, he looked to Celeste. "We HAVE to fix this.." He murmured...
