PIT OF STARS TOURNAMENT ☼ ROUND 1: GARETH vs LITTLESTAR

Gareth couldn't say he wasn't nervous, and in fact was plenty ready to admit that he was really quite anxious. Littlestar was a very kind person, at least from what he had seen, bit he could easily imagine her being super tough in battle. So, yeah, he was super spooked. Glancing at his father he waited, ears pricked and tails waving. It was just a game... It was just a game, Little star wouldn't actually kill him. Right? Right.

As soon as his father spoke Gareth focused his super strength on his front legs, pushing himself away from the Hawkclan leader.

TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — The tabby was ready. She was, after all, a fighter born and bred. The loss of a leg and tail did stump her ability a little bit but after it all had happened, she'd gotten back up on her feet and trained day after day to the point that she still moved swiftly and could leap and land without tripping up. Of course, it did have it's disadvantages and many of her battle opponnents tended to use the stump leg against her. But she had the power of underestimation in some battles. Littlestar opposed Gareth, her stub tail swinging to and fro. The crowd's roar rang in her ears but she didn't focus on them. Her golden eyes remained on the creature before her and when Suga called out 'Begin!', she advanced as Gareth leapt away. It was probably smarter to push back for the first move rather then forwards but she'd never been about that defense style of fighting but rather the offensive as it gave her more power over the other.

Remember; keep it friendly. Claws sheathed. Give 'em brusies only.

Littlestar gritted her teeth and her paw (which was of course talonless otherwise she would hurt him bad should she touch him with her paw) grabbed a bunch of dirt and quickly did the feline throw the dirt straight at the SunClanners face, hoping to temporarily blind him or at least distract him whilst she zipped forwards and attempted to slam into his front and push both front paws into his chest so she was suddenly pinning him down.

Not expecting her to move forward Gareth did find himself a bit surprised, but got over the initial shock easily. Being easily brought down the catsune swung his right leg out, the side where she lacked a back leg, before using his enhanced strength to hopefully knock her over.

If successful he would then try to bring his paw down on her chest, pushing threateningly down, his strength teetering on dangerous. Maybe she would give up, or maybe she knew he wouldn't actually hurt her. Either way he could feel his heartbeat in his ears.

On the other hand if the move was not successful and she didn't fall over Gareth would use the distraction to use his other leg, this time trying to push her forward using his strength.

TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — Littlestar hissed as his leg slammed into the side where it wasn't supported by a back leg. She was midly taken aback at the strength he possessed in said limb, guessing that it was super srength enhanced because it felt abnormally powerful, and the roles were flipped for now he was pinning her to the ground. In a real battle, she'd simply slash up his limb which would obviously force him to let go but she doubted she'd be allowed plus she didn't really want to hurt Gareth- he was a nice boy from all their prior interactions. But she did have to do something. Littlestar didn't enjoy the weight he was applying to her chest. It felt as if her chest bones were about to crack and that was not a nice way to go. So she put all the power she had into thrusting her single back leg straight into where it hurt most for dudes especially. Littlestar knew a hit to that area was vulnerable and would likely, if succesful, take his attention from pinning her down to groaning and instinctively moving back before she placed another kick on his area.

However if that didn't work, then the tabby would straight up move her paws to his face and pull at his whiskers until he lifted his paw to push her own away and then she would thrust herself upwards and wriggle from his pin down whilst he was distracted.

Gareth was lucky enough to move his hips quick enough to avoid the... The... His boys! Though the hit didn't land he quickly jumped away from Littlestar, fur on end. He wanted to look up at Suga or Tiberius or someone because she had almost! Almost! His nads! Was she allowed to even do that? Well, of course she was, but he had never seen or... Oh God! His whole body tensed just thinking about if she had successfully hit him there. That was just terrible, just awful. Truly evil.

Spooked by the very idea of actually getting hit in his crotch Gareth didn't move forward, instead watching her carefully. His weight shifted from paw to paw, trio of tails pressed against his leg. What did he do? He was genuinely terrified of something he hadn't even known about a second ago. Chewing on his inner cheek he began to bounce from side to side. Oh God, what if she tried to hit his nads again? Should he give up?

No, that was stupid. Finally he went into action. Zipping forward he moved toward Littlestar head on, using his strength to move impossibly fast. It seemed he was going to attempt to head butt Litterstars face. However, he would change his stance last minute, sweeping his paw across her front legs in hopes that her legs would buckle. If successful he would jump over her, whipping around to place his paw on her behind and push her face into the ground.

TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — Littlestar wasn't afraid of resorting to those types of moves to get out of a death grip. Her survival (or in this case, her winning) overcame the pain that her opposer might feel with a kick to the balls. Flexing her claws, the tabby watched him very carefully as he hopped away, her golden eyes narrowing. He would be planning something at the moment, she could see it in his eyes as he began to move side to side and nibble on the inside of his mouth. The tabbys little stub tail lashed and she was preparing to move forwards to make her next attack when suddenly he moved forwards too, very fast indeed. If the strength in his leg before hadn't been indication enough to his powers, then this certainly was. Littlestar leaped back as his paws swiped air, her head racing as she didn't stop moving for a second. As soon as she touched ground from leaping back, the feline would then lunge to his side and it seemed as if she was running away from him due to her behind facing his side but then she bucked and attempted to donkey kick the catsunes side.

It wasn't all though, a simple kick with one leg wasn't going to do nearly enough to bring him down. She would then swivel around, no matter if the attack was succesful or not, and bound upwards in the hopes of landing square on his side hoping to bring all her weight down on him and then she'd lift her right paw and attempt to slam it into the side of his temple. Clearly she was going for a knock out blow.
