Territory

Welcome to Falconclan! We live in a valley at the base of a mountain known as Buzzard Mountain. The terrain is very dense and rocky, with thick clumps of trees in some places, and bare ground in others. There is a river that runs through the center of our territory, and we use an eroded rock bridge to cross it. We share tongues with Starclan in a cave at the mouth of the river. The cave, known as the Cave of Shining Stars, was formerly an old diamond mine, and some of the precious gems are left behind. There is a hole in the roof of the cave that lets the moon shine down onto the gemstones, lighting up the cave similarly to how the Moonstone did. There is a small pool of water in the center of the cave that is filled with diamond crystals. The cat who is visiting the cave, whether it be for a Medicine cat meeting, a leader receiving his or her nine lives, or whatever else, must drink from the pool when the diamonds are shining in order to meet with Starclan.

Random Important Stuff About Us!

Our clan isn't too different from others you may have come across before now, but we do have a few special things that make us unique. One of the most important differences is the Scout position. Because we live in a mountain area, there are many birds of prey searching from the sky for a decent cat to make into a meal. For this reason, our founders created the Scout position. The Scouts are responsible for looking out for danger and making sure the coast is clear before a patrol is sent out into a specific area. Scouts are third-in-command, only ranked below the Leader and the Deputy. Another difference is a certain rule. Falconclan is known for its fairness, and because of this, we allow Medicine Cats to take mates. They are also allowed to have kits if, and only if, they have an apprentice with his or her full medicine cat name who can fill in for them while they're caring for their new family. The third major difference is that each cat has a token. The token is unique to each cat, and is presented to them by Starclan upon becoming a Warrior. When a cat becomes a Warrior, he or she must leave for the Cave of Shining Stars as soon as the overnight Warrior Vigil ends. Once there, they will share tongues with Starclan and receive their token.

Tokens

A token is a symbol, animal, or object made from diamonds in the Cave of Shining Stars. More often than not, they represent the cat in some way, be it something they hold close to them, a personality trait, or something they really like. Each token is unique, and none are exactly the same. The token is attached to a string and tied around the cat's neck. It can sometimes change colors based on the cat's mood. When the cat dies, it turns black.

If a token is already occupied, please choose another one, or modify your own to make it unique. I don't want confusion with repeating tokens!

-Please use third person when roleplaying, as well as proper grammar and spelling. This is a semi-advanced thread, so I expect a decent amount of effort when roleplaying.

-Please be active as much as possible. I've spent way too much time creating this thread to have it die almost immediately. If you want to play a High Position, you MUST be active! If you become inactive, and do not post within one week, I will either demote your character or delete them. Please let me know if you plan to be inactive for a certain amount of time, and I'd be happy to negotiate something.

-Be realistic with your cats' descriptions, names, and tokens. Don't name them something like Unicornspots with a description like 'a purple she-cat with blue sparkles and red eyes.' Tokens must be something a cat is familiar with. It can't be like...Thor's hammer or an umbrella or something.

-No repeating names or prefixes please. And keep genders even.

-LGBTQ+ are always welcome here. Feel free to make your character have an interest in any gender or sexuality.

-Don't be your own mate please. I will assign mentors as well to make sure you aren't mentoring your own cat.

-Medicine cats may have a mate, but cannot have kits unless they have an apprentice with their full name that can take over their duties when they move into the nursery.

-Scouts must go out before all patrols, including the dawn and dusk patrols. They go scouting before dawn, before sunhigh, before twilight, and before dusk.

-Scout apprentices are not to go out scouting without their mentor or another guardian.

-I'd prefer it if we didn't start out with queens and kits. I'll take special cases, as long as you come to me about it first.
