"damn, this place is really fallin' apart." venom lingers behind the note, words falling as fast as the cinders dripping from the cigarette she's got crunched between her teeth. honestly, chica doesn't know what the fuck she's doing here, sitting on the border of a clan alienated to her. that's what it is now, alien. foreign. new traditions, new territory, new faces.. shit, the only thing that really rings a bell is the name. other than that, she's got no idea what she's diving headfirst into. either way, it'll be a total shitfest— this is chica, after all. yeah, okay, so she's a real piece of work; very fucking bitter and not a big fan of change but hey, everyone's got their ups and downs. speaking of, the cancer stick has had it's run. the girl spits the bud into the soil, takes care to stomp out any wisps of light, and then peers into the forestry with lavender spectacles ablaze. "oi! chica fazbear, 'm comin' back."
I'M KINDA EDGY — open, return

Despite how much she wanted to disagree with that little statement, she just couldn't when it was so true, The Sanctuary really had hit a bit of a rough spot lately, but that was alright, they'd get over it, they just needed to stay optimistic! Funnily enough, Iris seemed to have many beliefs that were mirror opposites to several joiners and clanmates, and one of these was her thoughts on change. The husky thrived on change, if things stayed the same all the time then it would just get boring way too quickly, she much preferred change to stagnation, new faces to the same old ones time and time again. Another thing that the leader seemed to have that everyone didn't was the cheerfulness and optimism she prided herself on, really she just didn't get why everyone else couldn't look on the bright side of things like she could, it wasn't that hard and it made life so much more enjoyable instead of just getting stuck on every little negative thing.
While the fem usually looked forward to greeting joiners, seeing new faces, making new friends, for some reason she got a bit of a sinking feeling as she moved towards the border now. Oh...no, wait, false alarm, she was just feeling a little sick from that absolutely awful smell coming from that direction, ugh, it smelled like some unholy combination of smoke and pure evil. The moment the Shepherd arrived, she immediately turned her gaze to the little white, and still slightly smoking, stick on the ground, giving it the most hostile look she could at the moment, which really was more of a pout then anything else. Shaking her head in an attempt to clear away the queasiness she now felt, she turned her gaze up to Chicagocrimes and gave her a radiant smile. "Hello there Chica, i'm Iris Mallister, the current Shepherd here, ah, welcome back!" she greeted, holding back the few responses she wanted to give to the whole 'falling apart' thing she had just barely arrived in time to hear, it would all be fine after all, she just needed to keep up hope

-- Reyna --
Silently another figure moved up beside Iris, giving the smaller husky a gentle nudge as she did. Somebody else returning? The cloaked Harbinger wasn't sure how to feel. Change was a strange thing that had an even stranger relationship with Reyna, but the wolf tended to not dwell on those thoughts. The more faces they had around here the better at the moment, her own paranoid thoughts be damned. Though as she detected the unmistakable smell of fresh ash and tar which mingled with the otherworldly scent of the forest, for a fraction of a second the side of her mouth twitched into a smile.
It had been quite some time since she had last picked up on that unmistakable aroma of death rolled up into a little cancerous package, but it rooted her thoughts just enough for Reyna to relax for a moment "Welcome back" A grim voice echoed just after Iris finished speaking. Undoubtedly her leader would do a better job with initial greetings than her, so unless she was addressed specifically the wolf planned on remaining quiet.

He sits and he waits, feeling broken and hollow
Hands held close to his face, screaming,"Why do I bother?" — tagsHe took the comment worse than Iris did, because his mouth came unhinged, a spew of unintelligible words coming out. He was half asleep, and not about to insult someone over a petty comment, but it still got to him. Showed how vulnerable he was, recently, at least. Rubbing at his face as if to take away the expression that laid there, he'd stop beside Reyna, maw still partially curled in a grimace. "Welcome back, then," he'd rumble coolly. "My name is Lucien."
