"Come on, Kronos." She mumbled as she slipped from her room and out into Palace Hallway. The Princess's faithful Rottweiler followed her from the room, sticking close to her side as the pair moved quietly through the halls. The Princess of Jutthiem crept through the halls, she wore a dark emerald green dress and a black cloak, she wore her usual black shoes as she managed to sneak out of the Palace using an old Servant's Tunnel. Edith Agatha Hart snuck along the tunnel, keeping as quiet as she could so not to draw attention to herself.

Edith paused briefly upon hearing what she thought was footsteps. The Black and Tan dog remained close to her side, but no growling noise or even seemed alert to what she thought she heard. She continued down the tunnel, moving quicker now as she went. She could now hear voices coming from the way she had just come and multiple heavy boot steps. Her usual black shoes had an inch heel to them, making her running much more pronounced and very difficult to do. "Freeze!" "Stop!" The voices yelled as she ran, the Rottweiler stuck close to her side, running beside her. She emerged from the tunnel, and then sprinted for the Stables. The Princess paused briefly at her mare's stall door before passing it and instead grabbing the bridle of her betrothed's stallion. She worked quickly getting the bridle on, and clamoring up onto the large stallion's back before urging the Stallion out of the Stable. The King's Guards moved to try and stop the horse but she urged the stallion forward, forcing the men aside. She urged the stallion into a gallop as she could hear the men yelling to close the Palace Gate. "Kronos, with me!" She snapped, and heard the familiar woof of her companion as they escaped the Palace and head for the Everdeen Forest.

She slowed, leading the stallion away from the trade route, and deeper into the thickets. Edith moved further into the forest. She paused as she heard the thundering of hooves, and watched from the shadows as about a dozen Knights and Guards rode passed. She froze. They were searching for her. She had to find him.... had to find the man who held her heart, at least let him know her true feelings.... before she went back to the Palace to be married off to the Prince from the neighboring Kingdom of Hardome. Only problem with her plan. Her father's Guards and Knights were not supposed to know about her disappearance until dawn... but somehow they had been alerted. Which would make finding him that much harder.

The man (y/c) who held Edith's heart had been part of the King's Guard, but had been sent out a few days prior. She did not know where he had been sent but she figured he had been sent to one of the small towns on the border that had been causing all kinds of trouble. She spurred the Stallion to keep moving, and she trudged along until she came to a stream. She climbed off the large stallion and sat quietly on a fallen tree, where the Rottweiler sat, his head in her lap. The dog was a companion she had for the past three years, a gift from her Betrothed's Parents to her on her 18th birthday. She had named him Kronos, and he had become her faithful companion always following her around, and the Guards even trained him to be a Protection Dog for her so she was safe no matter were she was. He followed her into pretty much everywhere. Any meeting she was in, he went with her. He sat beside her at dinner, and even met her husband-to-be with her upon his arrival. However, Edith wanted to find (y/c). She wanted to find him and at least tell him how she felt about him. To be honest she loved him and she wanted to tell him before she ended up being married. She knew she needed to be at the ball that announced her fiancé's arrival which would mean she had two days before she had to be back at the Palace.... and she frankly didn't want to go back.... but knew she had to.

Samuel strolled slowly down to the moonlit street of the village that he was now forced to call home. His mind was on her again, of course. He could still remember her laugh, the color of her hair, the feeling of her lips against his. Certainly, that kiss had only happened once. And although they hadn't spoken of it to each other or with anyone else, he still cherished the memory, and brought it up often.

Reaching the end of the small town, the area where urbanization meets forest, the boy stopped. Staring into the dark, foreboding forest, he wandered if she ever thought of him.

A commotion from behind him forced the guard out of his thoughts. Turning, he saw a group of people, some of them guards and some of them simple villagers, approaching him. They were talking loudly to each other, but there were too many voices to pick out what any individual was saying.

"What's happening?" Samuel inquired, striding forward to meet them. A mustached guard motioned the young guard to follow him before answering his question. "The princess has gone missing. A messenger from the palace barely reached us. They need every guard in every nearby village on the lookout for her. Her wedding is approaching, and she must be back by tomorrow."

Samuel was speechless. "The princess?" He managed to say, his tone full of confusion and concern. The mustached guard nodded quickly. "Yes, yes, Princess Edith. You used to work at the castle, you must know who I'm talking about."

Samuel nodded his head, but was too stunned to speak. Edith was missing? Is she okay? Where was she headed? The male's mind swamped with questions. All he could hope was that she was safe and that she knew what she was doing.
