    It all began with a dream.


    In Sonata Academy, a conflict is brewing. The new headmaster has opened the traditionally vampire-only school to all species of supernatural creatures, as well as humans. Vampires are taking sides- some believe that every other race is beneath them, and the others believe that the mixing of the races will boost the growth of the vampire race.


    Sonata Academy is in Maine, close to the border of Canada, where it's always gloomy and rainy


    There are seven years in school, from 1-7. Age is subjective, as vampires exist. Technically, you can join the school at any age, so the age range is subjective to the ability to wield magic, and their proficiency at their given magical talent.

    Appearance: [image='1699','medium'][/image] Her tail in mer form is blue gradient from pale blue at the top where it joins to her waist down to deep indigo at the edges of her fins. Her hair becomes longer to cover her breasts.

    Personality: Adore is quite a bubbly girl who is very hyper and loves to be with friends. She’s quite unstable emotionally as she can flip from happy to crying in a matter of seconds if the wrong thing is said to her. It’s quite easy to cheer her up though. She has pretty good control of her abilities and will often use her water manipulation (freezing, boiling and shaping water) to play pranks on others.

    History: Before coming to the academy, Adore could often be found in random bodies of water, no matter how small, singing to her heart’s content. This often lead to a lot of men being attracted to her whereabouts, where she then informed them that she had no interest in them. She met Iridessa in third year and became fast friends with her, before they both realised it was more than friendship and became a couple.

    Personality:Maron is a happy easy going soul who can be a little shy at times around people, especially ones she finds interesting or cute.Shes very a nervous and somewhat clumsy person, though she can appear quiete elegant and graceful, though only as a farce. She's very much her own woman, and loves to swim.

    History: Maron was born in the Chesapeake bay area and lived there for much of her life. She later went up north for her schooling, based off of her parent's wishes. She was nervous about the new envronment, but has adapted by being her normal shy self.

    Appearance: A slightly short boy at 5'5". A somewhat appealing head of black hair combed to his left side. Dark green eyes. He seems to have a muscular build that is weighed down by his lack of care for his appearance or health. Acne is clear on his face and low self-esteem is clear in his slumped posture.

    Personality/History/Plot Ideas(Sorry this was just easier for me xD):


    Shadow used to be an up-and-coming bright child until his older sister vanished on a night in which she was meant to pick him up from school. After that, his parents turned to him as the reason for the loss of their daughter, and spent the next several years trying to force him to make it up to them through perfect academics, extracirriculars, and obedient childhood. As he gained years, he grew resentful and resistant to their methods, ultimately leading to his parents growing sick of his presence, and shipping him away from their city to a magical academy, where they are sure he will vanish as well. Given the conditions that led him to the academy, Shadow is understandably reserved, quiet, and fearful of those surrounding him at the academy. He makes no attempts to be social and does his best to escape the attention of those around him.

    Shadow is unaware of it, as his parents never informed him, but his human line has an intersection with a vampire, and he is the beneficiary of magical abilities. At some point, another versed in magical arts may be able to identify the potential for magic in time.

    Magical Strengths: She is very powerful in most, if not all areas of magic, especially things that mess with people's minds and illusion.

    Magical Weaknesses: Cadence will sometimes have random bursts of magic that can cause anything from the things around her starting to catch fire and explode, to freezing all the water in a ten foot radius, to causing gems to grow uncontrollably out of the ground around her. Once, she even accidentally conjured blades. When she couldn't explain how it happened, it caused much confusion.

    Magic ➸

    Al's magic is particular to a theme of chains and binding, it can be speculated that this magic could also puppet, or control others' movements. It's a very bland and perhaps unoriginal kind of magic, but he didn't exactly choose it as if it came from a soda machine. The magic has a visible and invisible tether, the 5 silver ring bands will gain opaque chains when the magic is active, the magic whenever used on someone or something will also have these opaque chains though there will be no visible connection between the chains around his hand/arm and what the magic has targeted. It has been shown that an increase in intensity of this magic results in more chains rather than the chains enlarging or becoming thicker. Al has only been seen using one hand to utilize this magic, his other hand is always gloved and it is unknown as to whether that hand can also wield this magic and or strengthen it. This magic is naturally more efficient, reliable, and strengthened by a high level of concentration and calm demeanor. Any kind of panic results in faulty chains or complete collapse of the magic (at the time) altogether. However this is not a usual happenstance with Al so this likely will not be what weakens him and his magic in particular. The next weakness is again concentration, breaking it to the point where the ability to hold onto someone or something becomes undone; this doesn't necessarily means that a person yelling is going to release Al's bindings, but let's say a person is able to tackle Al unexpectedly the chains would likely poof instantly.


    Species ➸

    Al is a hybrid of a Siren and a Vampyre. Sirens themselves are a species whom do not intend to seduce you with their looks or their songs, most try not to anyways. Often the enticing is involuntary and is why nearly all Sirens cover themselves up from head to toe as best they can. If they don't, for some strange reason they become the shiniest object for everyone to grab. They use their singing to soothe, heal, confuse, or in desperate times kill (a piercing screech can be uttered based on several factors, but this is also liable to damage a Siren’s throat) an individual. Most Sirens' voices in general can get them out of sticky situations, and calm the angriest of people. They are exceptionally good at creating remedies and poisons as well as methods of relaxation. A Siren's abilities aren't as effective on another Siren, and at that point it is usually determined by level of experience in the act (of singing/ speaking).


    As for the species with fangs, Vampyres can travel with shadows they, not to be confused with traveling through them; ie. they can work shadows as a cloak so they appear to be a shadow but cannot actually 'teleport' as another may be bale to do. This species does not incinerate nor sparkle in the sunlight. They do have fangs and slight claws or long nails (but not as bad as a Wraith) and can land an attack using either fang or claw to cause a bleeding hit on their opponents. This bleeding wound will continue to bleed if left improperly treated or untreated. So if in a fight, when using this attack move- the enemy is constantly bleeding throughout the fight. Blood is not necessarily the Vampyre's diet, they just have to be careful of their blood cell count a lot more than any other species. They have a mechanism with them at all times that helps them keep track of it, if it is falling they can collect some blood from the blood of donors or illegally but this of course is quite frowned upon.


    Al naturally has a combination of these traits mentioned whether they are fuse or added and yet muted. One thing that hasn't changed is his appearance causes anyone no matter the sex/gender to flock to him; the more skin is showing the worst it is. As before mentioned this effect is quite muted when other sirens are passing by, they would continue on as normal. Al's voice is a calm, intelligent one though often toned by what sounds like apathy (more like IDGAF) he is often able to manipulate situations with by simply talking. He can mute arguments and appear like the world's best diplomat and he also wields intimidating wit. While most are swept off their feet again his voice is hardly effective on other sirens. It is to be smartly assumed he possesses the capability of screeching and singing as a first gen siren would. As for the Vampyre DNA he holds, he has the fangs and claws but the need for blood is irrelevant rather it has been revealed that he instead quenches his thirsts of the iron in blood. secret~

    The picture is a good representation of Al, his hair blonde (the style is that of the image) and eyes a pink-red vibrant hue. His skin is less pale in comparison to other vampires / vampyres and of a light peach color that tans a shade darker in the sun. However old he grows he appears younger than his actual age. He is most often seen in "proper" clothes which consist of a white undershirt, tie, pants, tux or blazer, and his signature one black glove. He is just below the average height, enough to be teased as a shortie yet not appear as a toddler or baby.

    Al is rather cold and stand-offish, it's not necessarily intentional but he does not care to work on it either. He doesn't make much effort to speak unless he feels it's necessary, this guy is not for a lot of short talk and quick to cut through the bs if he believes he doesn't have the time for it. That being said he will also probe others if he feels like it or he was asked to do by certain peoples. Otherwise he appears as the best thing in the world to those affect by his siren blood. To those who aren't he seems like a smartass with no real motivation as to why he wants to further increase his magical ability and going to the school, when asked he answered with "I don't know, I just feel like it." His words then seeming apathetic and his face never sparing a smile. This apathy seems to flood over into his actions with others as for most people he will not empathize or sympathize and often continues on without bothering to even acknowledge them and when prompted for action is rather heartless in response. As much of an emotionless butt as he seems, alongside his crew... he is pretty much the same. They are simply more accepting of this and tolerate it more as to why Al hangs around them, that is unclear. Nonetheless Al will defend a member if they were not in the 'wrong' and diffuse any situation that would land them in serious trouble if that situation were to escalate.Being that Al is also a quick study and intelligent in academics he is likely the one tutoring his 'pals'. He does not like physical touch, meaning anything from hugs, handshakes, etc.


    It's no mystery that Al has a rough, chilling exterior, but deep, deep, very deep through the thick walls of ice is a smol bean. and those huge ridged walls of compact ice are trying to freeze and preserve that bean.


    History ➸

    Al was a victim of abuse which is largely why he lacks the motivation to pursue love interests as he associates it with things. Al had parents, but he cannot remember their faces and they almost seem unimportant when he speaks of them. He is likely rooming with someone who can at least tolerate him and he his roommate to the point they can at least live together. After discovering his abnormality of just what exactly in blood Al requires more often than most, he was given a special mechanism (tool) to keep track of his iron count. Upon entering the school he excelled in his academics and moderately well in his magic use, he does not play sports (presumably behind his iron). Al has very few friends and has stuck with his small group for as long as he has been in the school. It's been proven he used to test his magic on small animals, including pets.

    I kind of want him to be a part of a 'gang' or a group of 'passive aggressive bullies'. i hope I am describing what I want correctly but yeah that's what I have so far.

    Also he doesn't know his sexuality yet because he never took interest in it and his romance options are a slow burn, meaning it will take time to break that ice a walk and start that small ember then build it to flame.
