  • Aura smiled as she saw Mist heading over to the pool that Rain was in, Chlora and Cairo still socialising and Scepter wanderer over yo Blade before sitting on the ground. Cynder and Electra both rubbed themselves around Aura’s legs and Crystal moved over to Aria, looking for another Pokemon to chill with.

  • "I'm pretty sure if you asked Sun he would train Abigail, he enjoys training others," Moon offered as she stood from where she had calmed the Pidgey which hopped up onto the chair It's trainer was on, it looked as if it wanted to stand guard over his unconscious form. Moon released her own Pokemon, her Aridoes reaching for her as soon as it was out, with a smile she reached down and scooped the spider pokemon into her arms. Willow chittered happily, while Prima Donna yawned and climbed up into one of the empty chairs to lay down.

Her crobat perched itself on the back of the lounge Moon had laying on earlier, it screeched up at the Steelix which had coiled It's frame up so it took up less room. The malmar huffed and sauntered over to the pools and slide into one with a content sound. Her Pyroar rubbed up against her legs, his large mane flattening where his head was pressed against her thigh, loud purrs where coming from him as he closed his eyes.

  • OOC: Sorry, I am working on adding some more to my forum Turrets and Shadows on fanfiction.net

Abigail continued to remain within her room as her three Pokemon slept within the room. If they ever evolved into their second and third stages, she supposed they might end up being able to fit in the room with her. She was pretty sure Rockruff only had one more evolution stage to go through but Pikipek and Litten had two more stages. She knew that once Litten evolved into Incineroar, he wouldn't be able to fit in the room as he'd be too big. The eleven-year-old was brought of her musings by the sound of a meowing at the door and what sounded like something brushing up against the wood from outside her room. The noise not only attracted Abigail but also Litten and Rockruff who both woke at the sound. Pikipek remained asleep on the chair though.

Was that supposed to be some type of cat Pokemon outside her door? The only cat Pokemon she knew of in Alola were Litten and its evolved forms of Torracat and Icineroar, and Meowth with its evolved form of Persian. Who could that be? she thought to herself, unsure if she wanted to investigate as the Pokemon might attack her. Wild Pokemon were known to attack unsuspecting people. Perhaps if she found out why it was behaving in such a manner, it would leave her alone to her thoughts. The last thing she wanted was to capture another Pokemon when she was still unsure of the three she had. Litten nudged his head against her chest and she turned her head to meet his gaze, the Fire Cat Pokemon staring at her with a look that said "Answer the door". At the moment, she wished she were an Aura Guardian, something she had heard her mother speak of. People who could communicate with their Pokemon mentally and read auras of both Pokemon and humans. It would be a lot easier than guessing what the Pokemon were thinking. But, it probably wouldn't have made her like Pokemon any more than she did now.

Reluctantly, Abigail pushed Litten away and got up, being careful not to step on Rockruff who was still lying in the same spot despite the strange commotion outside the door to her room. Behind her, Litten jumped down off the bed and padded after his trainer, the Pokemon curious about what was making such a noise as well. Abigail attempted to make the journey across her room as slow as possible but it was a futile effort on her part, given the room wasn't very big to begin with, and opened the door where she looked down the hallway. Her eyes came to a door across from her and then down to the Pokemon standing there, pulling out her Rotom Pokedex and pointing it down at the creature. Sluke63

OOC: Virgil's Pidgey is Timid. I will also be heading out soon to go see Wonder in the theater so won't be back for a few hours.

Virgil remained unconscious as the people began attending him, not even being dropped roughly onto a lounge chair outside Hano Grand Resort did anything to stir the novice trainer from the clutches of blackness. Unconscious that kept the teenager or young man, depending on how one looked at him, from feeling the pain of his injuries and the mental pain of being left here as a final act of humiliation and destroying from his father. As the Pidgey was released from its pokeball, the pokeball having been picked up by Tori when it had been swept towards her foot by her own Pokemon when picking up Virigil, the Pidgey stared around it, uncertain of where it was or what was going on. "Pidgey?" Pidgey questioned, tilting his head in confusion. The dual Normal/Flying-Type didn't attack the others though, partly because it was bewildered by where it was and knowing instinctively it would be outmatched in a battle and partly because of its timid nature making it reluctant to attack. This was probably the reason for it not being called out of its Pokeball, or its scared trainer had forgotten about it with the injuries he had sustained.

Pidgey flew up to the top of the lounge chair where it attempted to stand guard, though its head twisted side to side as it looked around itself at the strange people and Pokemon who were out of their own Pokeballs. Slowly, voices permeated the unconscious man's mind, like trickling water before it became a cascade and slowly the young man began to stir upon the lounge chair, feeling not only the chair but his bag still on his back which for some odd reason had not been taken from him by his father, not that Virgil remembered that it was his father who had brought him here to Alola. It was some more minutes before his eyes opened long enough and all he could see before him was bright light of the sun overhead, strange faces of people and Pokemon. Pidgey fluttered down to its owner's chest and stared at him. Mirror's Edge @ other people

  • A Persian looked up at Abigail and meowed, he rolled onto his back and stretched his paws in the air. A Z-crystal hung from a red collar around his neck, he was clearly a trainer owned Pokemon. The feline meowed again and looked up at her, he seemed to want her to scratch his belly and his generally give him attention.

Moon looked over when Virgil stirred, Willow followed her gaze to the injured human. The spider clicked and gestured to It's face before pointing to the human again. Moon looked at her Pokemon before realizing what it was asking, "he got attacked by an ultra beast," she whispered confirming what the Spider had assumed. Willow nodded and looked at Virgil with concern in It's eyes.

  • Alerted by the sound of the waking male, Aura moved over to him. Now distracted from Cairo, Chlora followed her over to Virgil, chirruping softly in worry and concern. She knew how much Poison attacks hurt, and could tell the boy had been hit with a strong one. Aura knelt beside him but didn’t speak yet, letting him get used to his surroundings and making sure she didn’t seem intimidating by softening her usually stern and stoic expression.

  • It was Blaze who noticed the guy shifting, and growled lowly, getting Tori's attention. "He's actually awake! Congratulations, Cairo, you didn't kill him!" Patting her Ground-type affectionetly, Cairo chirped. All the noise would probably wake him up fully, and then she could ask why the hell he decided UB-infested Alola was a great vacation spot. And suggest Kalos next time.

  • As Abigail pointed her Pokedex at the creature before her, the Rotom Dex spoke. "Persian, the Classy Cat Pokemon. Its round face and smooth coat—softer than the most high-class velvet—have made this a very popular Pokémon in Alola. It looks down on everyone other than itself. Its preferred tactics are sucker punches and blindside attacks." Abigiail looked from the picture of the Persian and then at the Pokemon in front of her. It looked like like the picture though she couldn't be sure if it was the Alolan version or the regular version that her parents had often spoken of. To be sure, she pressed a couple buttons and a picture of a feline with pale tan fur and black rims around its ears. It had a red gem in the middle of its forehead compared to the grayish-blue Alolan form that also had a blue jewel in the middle of its forehead.

As Abigail had her Pokedex on the Persian before her and on the regular image, the Rotom Dex spoke again. "Persian, the Classy Cat Pokémon and the evolved form of Meowth. Persian can walk silently thanks to its nimble muscles. It pounces on its prey at lightning speed." She frowned and looked from the Persian to the picture again before pressing a button and flipping back to the other Persian picture. Turning her Pokedex off, she moved to set it on the dresser, allowing Litten to get a good look at the other Cat Pokemon. The Classy Cat Pokemon seemed to want something from her but she couldn't tell what it was that it wanted despite it pawing at the air. Even though she had her own cat Pokemon, she didn't pay much attention to what Litten wanted from her.

"What do you want?" Abigail questioned the Alolan-form Persian. Litten gave a hiss at the bigger cat, his fur standing on his back and Abigail pushed her Starter Pokemon away with a foot. Litten made another hiss at the movement from his Trainer but didn't leave her side, instead staying near her feet. As it rolled over onto its back and began purring, Abigail finally figured out that it wanted a belly rub and looked at Litten, the Fire Cat Pokemon staring with disdain in his eyes at the Persian. "You're an Alolan Persian?" she questioned the Pokemon before shaking her head. It wasn't like the Pokemon could answer her at all. Sighing, she crouched down near it and tentatively placed a hand on the feline's belly before slowly and cautiously rubbing the soft and vulnerable underside of the feline. Sluke63

"Pidgey? Pidgey!" Pidgey chirped as it saw its trainer beginning to wake.

As the light began to lessen, Virgil could hear breathing around him and not just his Pidgey. He blinked his eyes, trying to focus on what was around him. He could feel something being pressed to his wounds, what felt like water soaking into the wounds and running down under his shirt. A moan of pain escaped the teen as he came to conscious and the first thing he saw was the Pidgey he'd chosen. Out of its pokeball and on his chest, the timid creature chirping happily as he saw his master was awake. Virgil blinked. He couldn't remember releasing Pidgey from his pokeball. He could sense more than feel someone next to him and turned his head to see a woman kneeling beside him with a Pokemon behind her though he couldn't begin to place what the Pokemon was in his groggy and injured state. There was another person beside him, this one dabbing at his wounds and his eyes slowly shifted from the woman kneeling beside him to the one piratically standing over him. He didn't yet see the third person as his head was pounding and he was trying to ignore it and take in his surroundings and these strangers but what he saw made him think they weren't police. • Virgil turned his head towards the woman kneeling beside him as she spoke, his movement causing Pidgey to fly up into the air before alighting on the foot of the lounge chair. It was a couple moments before he registered that she was talking to him, even if he could see her lips moving and soundless words that had to shift and puncture the fogginess of his brain. Virgil attempted to shake his head but that only caused pain to lace through his skull and he quickly stopped that in its tracks. "...N...no," Virgil said. He strained his mind to remember, his eyes closing for a few moments as he shifted through his mind to see if he could recall anything. "I can remember shouting and smoke...choosing...Pidgey...not...not anything else," he said slowly, opening his eyes with his last word. Aletheia Nyx

  • Virgil only stared blankly at the woman as she said he was attacked by an ultra beast. A sliver of memory came to him of a huge white jellyfish floating in front of him but faded as quickly as it had appeared. Was that what the creature was? And what was Alola? None of this made any sense to Virgil at all. "I don't understand...anything you're saying," Virgil said slowly. Spirits of the ancestors, his head was killing him. "What...what's an Ultra Beast? Where or what is Alola? How...how is my Pidgey otu of his pokeball?" Aletheia Nyx   Mirror's Edge   Sluke63

  • Persian purred loudly as she started to rub his belly, the cat opened his eyes lazily to look at the other feline. He gave off a meow and bumped his head against her hand and gave it a few licks. His ears twitched at the sound of approaching foot steps. The purple feline looked down the hall with It's head upside down and started purring louder as a dark haired male appeared around the corner.

Moon watched the seen between Aura and Virgil, she set down willow as the Spider wanted to go investigate. The female aridoes clicked as she climbed up to rest on the back of the lounge and look down at the male human. She looked at moon and gave a few chirps before looking back down at Virgil.

  • Abigail's hand stopped petting the cat's belly as it began purring louder, uncertain of herself. The novice trainer rarely touched her own Pokemon and when she fed and gave them water, she did so as quick as possible to avoid touching them. Only in times of weakness or uncertainty did she dare put a hand on any of the Pokemon that she had caught or in Litten's case chose her to be their trainer. The Persian shifted slightly underneath her hand as she began petting it again, and Abigail found herself following the feline's gaze as it looked down the hallway while at the same time footsteps reached the girl's ears. Abigail reached up to move some of her hair out of her eyes and that was when she saw a man coming around the corner of the hallway. She thought she recognized the person from around the resort but didn't know his name or who he was. The young girl stopped petting the cat and stood, stepping back into her room. Sluke63

Virgil heard clicking and looked away from the woman who was attempting to speak with him. What he saw when he let his eyes roll up was a spider's face staring down at him. It was just another Pokemon he wasn't familiar with, having never been out of Kanto and after Squirtle and his male Nidoran had abandoned him, had never gone out of Mulberry City until his father threw him out of the home. A pink spider with yellow and purple striped legs with black stripes on its body. "What...what is that?" he questioned, slowly lifting his arm to make a fist and pointing up at the spider staring down at him. If only he hadn't lost that battle, he wouldn't be here right now...wherever here was.

  • The Persian came a confused meow as the petting stopped, with a huff he rolled back over and with a long stretch stood up. He flicked his tail at the trainer. "I'm sorry if he was bothering you," The male offered with an apologetic expression, he had a bunch of scars across his face. One scar cut through his left eyebrow and his left eyes was silver unlike his right which was green, the silver eye was blind. This was one of the senior trainers, Sun.

"I was grooming some of my other Pokemon and he wandered off. Hux likes affection," Sun explained, his eyes moved down as he watched the Persian wrap himself around his legs and rub his head against the leg closet to his face, loud purrs resonated from the feline. Another pokemon poked It's head over Sun's soilder, large white and pink ears twitched as light blue eyes studied the female trainer. The Slyveon must have followed Sun down the hall, it pulled itself onto the male trainer's shoulders and then relaxed to lay across Sun's shoulders.

Moon crossed her arms as she leaned against the back of the lounge, she hummed at Virgil's question. "This is Willow, she's an Ariadoes. She is a bug poison dual type," the black haired female explained as she looked down at the younger trainer. Willow clicked and lifted one leg to give the human a wave in greeting.

  • Immediately, Kimia and Cairo went to investigate the newcomer. Tori crossed her arms. "To answer your other questions, a UB is a really lovely Pokemon, most which have a tendency to kill you and attack us. Something about us being exposed to the ultra wormhole's radiation made them a bit aggressive towards us. Just a tad bit. Some of us are more likely to be attacked than others, mostly those who went through a wormhole. Alola is the current hell you are in now, and we let the Pidgey out of his Pokeball. Now, my turn. What's your name?"

    (c)trexgirl

  • Abigail looked at the trainer as he came into full view. The young trainer might not be good with Pokemon, much less want to be here but she had always been good with attention to detail. The Persian got up and walked over to his trainer only for another Pokemon to appear around the senior trainer's shoulders. She didn't have her Pokedex currently on her so she couldn't tell what that Pokemon was on his shoulders but it was another one that looked rather odd to her. As he spoke about hoping his Persian, so that was who the strange feline belonged to, hadn't bothered her she shook her head. "I think he annoyed Litten more than me," she said glancing down at Litten who had come again to the door now that the Persian had left her side. The Fire Cat Pokemon knew his trainer didn't like affection but moved in front in case either the Persian or the other Pokemon moved to attack his trainer.

By now, all three Pokemon that belonged to the young girl knew she was afraid of them and thus they tried their best to not seek out affection from the young girl. Instead, they took what they could get from her which was food and medical care though there wasn't much medical care to be had in a region that had been totally ruined. The smart thing to do would be to flee Alola and let it be ruined by the Ultra Beasts but everyone here held out hope, foolish that it was, that they would be able to beat the Ultra Beasts and save the rest of the world from them. "I'm sorry, who are you?" she questioned the man. Abigail tended to not associate with the adults of the resort at all unless they had to. To her, they had nothing in common except Pokemon and to Abigail that didn't count as she didn't even want hers.

Virgil didn't say anything to Moon's statement about the identity of the Pokemon and its dual typing. Even if he wanted to speak, he couldn't as the other person standing at the foot of the lounge began speaking to him, telling him that the creature that attacked was an Ultra Beast and they were known for attacking the people here as well as potentially killing. Virgil, who hadn't learned anything about wormholes within either Team Rocket Academy or in Trainer School in the Kanto region when he'd been a child. Pidgey flew back to Virgil's chest and hunkered down, his nature taking over again that he knew his trainer was alright. Virgil didn't take a lot of notice of the fact that Pidgey had come back to the middle of his chest as he attempted to process what he was being told. "I don't know what Ultra Wormholes are. Didn't learn about them when I was a kid."

The woman didn't seem very cooperative in her answers or even friendly in Virgil's mind. Granted the people at Team Rocket Academy hadn't been the most friendly such as their Drill Sargent but that was to be expected as a way to weed out those who weren't tough enough to go through the missions and such for Team Rocket's cause. "Virgil...Lucas...well my last name probably doesn't matter anymore," he said. "As for how I got here...I can't remember much. Just...just police shouting and smoke from probably Koffing."

  • Sun gave a sheepish look, "oh my apologies, I'm Sun. The Persian at my feet is Hux, and the Slyveon laying across my shoulders is Dovahkiin," he gestured to the Pokemon as he introduced them. The pink and white Pokemon gave off a high melodic call when he was introduced, one of his ribbons was coiled gently around the upper part of Sun's arm and the other swished and flicked every few moments. Another loud purr came from the purple feline coiled around the dark haired trainer's legs, he turned his gaze to the kitten and meowed with a flick of his curled tail.

    druidbuckeye

Moon watched as Virgil conversed with the other trainers in the room, her expression was a mix of concerned and confusion. So the younger trainer didn't remember being attacked by the ultra beast or how he got to alola. It was honestly a really weird story the black haired female at to admit, she didn't know if she trusted the kid or not.

  • Litten gave a hiss at the older trainer and there was the sound of paws behind Abigail as Rockruff brushed between Abigail's legs and came to stand beside Litten on the feline's right side so that there were two Pokemon in front of their trainer now. Abigail again glanced down at her legs, surprised to see Rockruff there and turned her head. Pikipek was now awake and had flown to the desk, and was staring at the open door though the Woodpecker Pokemon couldn't see well out the door where it was. Abigail was supposed to respond to his comment on who he was or wasn't she? Her parents had told her she would end up making friends eventually upon her journey and she would forget that she had never wanted to be a trainer with all the fun she would have. They had told her to be wary of strangers and of course wary of those Team Skull people but they hadn't said that she couldn't talk to other people, in fact they had encouraged her to do so. "...I'm Abigail," she said slowly. What kind of a name was Sun supposed to be? Or Moon for that matter? Were they supposed to be nicknames? However, that felt rude to ask and so she asked another question. "Why do the Pokemon here have different appearances than the Pokemon in other regions?"  Sluke63

Of course Virgil had no clue what the woman with the Ariados was thinking. The spider continued to stare at him though, unfortunately his Pokedex was kept within his backpack which was resting against his back and so he couldn't begin to figure out what these Pokemon were, not that it would be of help as his Pokedex was only programmed for Pokemon within Kanto. None of the administrators at Team Rocket had thought to update the grunts' Pokedex when they had become official trainers and chosen their partner Pokemon. He didn't even know many Pokemon with Kanto. The three starters, his Pidgey, Koffing, Ekans, Rattata, Spearow and his former Nidoran♂ but that was pretty much it. Their entries were recorded within his Pokedex forever. The thought made Virgil close his eyes as his mind unfortunately went back to the day that he had been abandoned by both his Pokemon at the thought.

  • "Well, we can't exactly throw you back out there. You can take one of the rooms here at the resort, and we'll figure out what to do with you next. Now, is the Pidgey the only Pokemon you have?" If it was, Tori would probably put him on the floor for junior trainers.
