  • "Dude Domestic Sighting", Falcon had never heard that before. "Interesting Paladin... I hope your OK." He meowed, rubbing his leg with his tail. He had never been down here for so long, and was starting to get nervous.

  • "I am good, I'm getting better every day. Since then I've put myself up to bashing myself into the walls so I can toughen up." Paladin meowed, speaking still all emo-like. He was speaking brightly and spunkily even as his words were strangely emo.

  • Now that was... even more interesting. But Falcon had to go, he had a life to thought his RPer. "Hey Paladin, I hope you don't hurt yourself to bad. But may I come back and see you tomorrow?" He asked, perhaps he would be allowed to leave, perhaps not. Only fate would tell.

  • "Why would I say no?" Paladin meowed, patting his new father's name. "And I'm only hurting myself to the degree I must. It hurts less everyday."

  • The smokey tom nodded his head, and, brushing his feathery tail against Paladin, he smiled. His lavender eyes twinkled warmly once more. "I'll come back and see you tomorrow then." He began to turn around, and began making his way up the twisting, spiraling tunnel and out into the open.

Will I really come back? Or will I never go back down again? falcon questioned himself, biting his lower lip. Only time would tell...

((This is getting exciting... At least to me~))

  • "Where are you going?" Paladin meowed, following after Falcon when he started to walk away. Paladin had less on his docket than may an Empire member. His primary duties were self maintenance. Their mothers didn't leave piles of prey much in the Oasis any more. Had he known about the prey pile in camp? He would be no more soothed by the fact. He had never seen that many cats at once. The whole of the Empire was more cats than his siblings and mothers. Paladin had heard of many cats. But they were only stories to him. Paladin didn't really believe there could be that many cats in the world.

  • "I'm going back outside, rest, and I'll come back tomorrow, why?" Falcon asked, stopping to turn around. Paladin had followed him the short distance he traveled, and his smokey fur brushed the walls. His lavender eyes blinked slowly, as he wondered what his adopted son had to say.

  • "Sure, I guess that'll be fine." Falcon meowed, as he began his way back up the tunnels. Smokey paws melting in with the dark shadows, as everything turned into a passage way, up into the outside world. Out into the colors, the light.

  • "Sweet." Paladin meowed, keeping a close track on Falcon. Though the moment the lights got brighter he'd be out quickly. He was going to spend all the time he had. "What do you like best about being up there?" Paladin asked, a bit curious.

  • "I'd have to say the beauty and the breezes that ruffle your fur." Falcon responded with a happy sigh. The tunnels twisted and turned, twisted and turned, and his paw steps were muffled just slightly. Though he wasn't sure if he was lost or not, he just kept on going.

Then excitement filled his mind, as he began seeing the very pale outline of his paws. They were nearing light.

  • "Not necessarily your fur Paladin, but it does feel nice." Falcon meowed, looking over his shoulder. Already the Serval was shying away from the light, so there time must have been up. Turning around, the tom gave a soft smile.

"I'll see you tomorrow Paladin, I promise." He meowed before backing up a bit more, and turning around. Freedom was just a short distance away.

  • "Good bye..." Falcon whispered as he padded out into the light. He blinked a few times, and in a few moments, he felt torn into two. Little did he know a piece of him would always belong in the tunnels now, but pain ached within him to.

Push it away... He thought, and, with some struggling, managed to subdue most of those feelings. There, he was gone, and he felt terrible about it...

    ~~

It was the next day, bright and early. Falcon had just gotten back from the early hunt. Muscles sore, he wanted to curl up and fall back asleep. Setting his prey down, he saw the vivid colors of the leaves on the breeze, and a stab of guilt hit him.

He had made a promise. So shouldn't he go and complete it? As the sun rose higher and higher, the tom-cat sighed. Yes, he'd keep it. Picking up a plump piece of prey, and a second piece for himself, he began to head on his way towards the tunnels were Paladin resided.

  • WHAM! The sound could be heard from a quite a distance in the tunnels. WHAM! Paladin was working on his wall slams now. He was at a place that was rocky and dirt. Just a small adjustment would send him flinging himself against either one. He was a little nicked up from this, as he was yesterday. But they were little scratches that had and would heal themselves up. The pain was dulling every day. Paladin had never been in a real all out fight. But Paladin didn't like any weakness that he couldn't iron out. And this was something. WHAM!

  • As soon as Falcon entered the tunnels, a grave expression crossed his face as he heard the thumping sounds coming from down the tunnels. Very far down the tunnels. What was Paladin up to? Picking up his pace, he followed his and Paladin's stale scent from yesterday. Though this time, it was a bit more deep. Sensing as Paladin was close by, he lowered the prey he was carrying.

"Paladin? I brought you some prey." He called down the tunnel, hoping for a response.

  • Paladin's face brightened at hearing Falcon's voice, his massive ears perking up. He charged recklessly towards Falcon. "I'm so glad you're back!" He yowled joyously, his voice echoing a bit in the tunnels. He was scaring the prey for sure, but he was fine with that. For one, he had very precise times of day when he hunted and ate, and he wasn't starving. The tall legged serval stopped a whisker's breadth away from Falcon, beaming at the sight of his friend.

  • Wow, that Serval could run up to you, and fast. Drawing his head back a tad from the sudden appearance of his adopted son, he nudged one of the pieces of prey forward. "Uh, here. I brought you something." The lavender eyed tom smiled, his eyes warm once more.

He seated himself against the dirt floor of the tunnels, and waited to see Paladin's reaction.

  • "I heard." Paladin purred, nudging Falcon with the unbloodied side of his head. He'd been gentler when bashing his head into things. Scrapes and bruises were in his repertoire. Not too bad by his thoughts, though he was sore. "I ate earlier, though I am a tad hungry? Wanna share?"
