  • "Is there another way?" Paladin meowed, stopping the moment he saw a faint glow. "I don't want to go that way." He wasn't even seeing the glow worms full light, yet his eyes were squeezed shut and he was backing away from the faint glow. "Please don't tell me camp is full of these."

  • "Whats wrong Paladin? There glowworms... not real light." Falcon meowed. He knew that Paladin didn't like light, but the glowworms light weren't the brightest things on the planet. Putting his paw down, he stepped(unfortunately) on some droppings himself. Of course, the glow was very soft, and not much light came from it.

"But yes, Paladin. Those worms are everywhere in camp. But it's not as bright as daylight..." He meowed, taking a step forward, leaving an imprint of his paw on the ground.

  • Paladin shrinker against the wall, whimpering softly. "I need to get something. Stay right here." His eye lids wouldn't be enough to block out this light. When he returned he had a lot of cobwebs on his eyes. Paladin could see no light now, not even looking at the glow worms. "Don't worry, I don't need my sight." He'd been in tunnels that had never seen light before. He didn't need it now. "Lets go." He knew he looked odd, but this was a new era. Paladin had to jump on it pronto.

  • Falcon was about to respond to what Paladin said, but the Serval had already left. When he returned, the glow of the worms showed he had covered his eyes in a mass of cobwebs. Weirder and weirder every moment... Falcon thought to himself before placing his tail on Paladin's shoulder. "Follow both my voice, and I'll direct you with my tail." He said, before slowly starting to walk ahead into camp once more.

  • Paladin smiled at Falcon, shaking his head. "No need, if I really needed your help I would follow the sound of your pawsteps." He wasn't being patronizing, just telling the truth. "Some times I don't even open my eyes when I wake up. There's no difference for me most of the time." He could tell faint shades of black and white. But as for the landscape? He didn't need his eyes in these tunnels. His whiskers were more than enough. Whiskers did a lot.

  • Falcon removed his tail from Paladin's shoulder, if he insisted... "But, won't you get confused by the sound of others paw steps?" Falcon asked, his gaze sweeping over the mass amount of cats that called the empire home.

  • "Still bud, this is the underworld for me. It's the only world I've ever known." Paladin meowed. "I hunt in these tunnels. I don't need help." And that, my dear audience of one, was pride in his voice. He was feeling better by the moment. That he had something other people apparently didn't. Paladin didn't want to lord it over Falcon of all people. But it was amazing to know.

  • Paladin sure was confident in that situation. Nodding his head, even though Paladin couldn't see it, he began on his way. "Well then, let's go." He meowed over his shoulder, before beginning to make his way to were Avanti was to be.

  • "Awesome." He felt no shame in nuzzling Falcon. It was not for support, and he really did like this guy. One day and he felt closer to the tom than he had ever felt to anyone. Even his mother was lesser in comparison to Falcon. There was no finer person in the world.

  • Falcon smiled as they proceeded to walk through camp. There paw prints being left behind in the carpeting of others. Scanning the area, he halted. Where is Avanti? He thought to himself, searching the crowd of cats.

  • They arrived, Falcon's own RPer posting in the main meeting thread as well.
