  • Val had been slow getting to his weekly task, but at least he hadn't forgotten it entirely. In fact, he was reminded because he planned on using the shells he gathered to make another necklace, like the one he'd given Sekai. And, he had the perfect person in mind to give it to.

But first, he wandered the edge of the red-sand beach, gazing into the tidepools and digging a bit to find some, too. He remembered Luciferus telling him that there were shells beneath the waves, as well, but the cub was still hesitant on going too far out into the water. He already had a small pile, including a really shiny white one he would be sure to use.

Unsurprisingly the tigress was sprawled out onto the red sand, basking in the little warmth that the sun was drizzling upon her. Her cream fur was speckled with red dots even once she roused herself to go investigate what Val was doing. "Hey kiddo, what's with all the digging?" Elizabeth asked even if she noticed the pile of shells already collected by him.

  • Shining was a frequent visitor of the beach, whenever he needed some time to relax or think. Though he tended to avoid the water if it seemed too rough; today, however, was moderately peaceful. A bit of a blessing, considering recent events. He needed to ease the stress in his mind. "He's digging for buried treasure; you as an explorer should know this, Elizabeth," Shining would jokingly say, coming up onto the scene with a small smirk. The tom rarely got the chance to joke around with clanmates.

  • Val had noticed that Elizabeth seemed to love the beach as much as he himself did. The only difference being she spent time in the water, too. "Find shells!" the cub said, pausing his digging to look at the femme. Then, with a sand-covered paw, he grasped at the pile of shells he'd already collected and held one up to Elizabeth. If was the shiny white one. "'s pretty?" he asked. After all, a lot of things were pretty in his mind. And, he wanted to make sure the shells were perfect for Littlestar. Suddenly he began to wonder whether they had a beach in HawkClan. Perhaps Littlestar had never collected seashells before. He wasn't going to say that was the reason she might be grumpy, but looking for shells was often a good distraction for Val, why not for her? But, he was getting off track... anyways, he figured that if Elizabeth liked the shells he had collected so far, Littlestar would, too.

Then, Shine was there, someone Valemon also noticed on the shore a lot. And, he was making jokes. At first, the young lion didn't realize this. Buried treasure? These were shells, weren't they? Slowly, he began to remember where he might've heard those words before. In a book of stories he was often read, buried treasure was what people dug for on the beach. So, that's what Shining was talking about? It was then that the cub giggled with quite the delayed reaction before resuming his digging. Moments later, a sky blue shell with white stripes was revealed. He'd definitely be using that one, too. But, seashells were like buried treasure, in a way. Hopefully, Littlestar would think of them that way, too.

  • mike padded up to the small group of riverclanners, a small thin smirk on his face. seashells? he had never actually seen a seashell, being from indiana. they had no beaches up there. though, his mother had brought nancy home a bottle of them before. he remembered making fun of them and being chased down by her, though. straying away from the water, the boy looked at the seashell val was holding up. at the word "pretty," he thought of eleven, and a wider smile crossed his lips. maybe she would like seashells. "need any help i guess? i might find some to give to someone." he added, blushing softly underneath his creamy white fur.

"Didn't know you had a sense of humor Shiny...Gotta say though, it's not my cup of tea. Stick to your politeness." She retorted back playfully while pretending to be offended by his light words. Suddenly something was being shoved towards her face and a brilliant smile broke onto her face before she nodded back at the lion. "Positively exquisite. The most pretty shell I've ever seen." Elizabeth responded to the absolutely adorable child before she cast a glance towards Mike. Had she known his thoughts about his girlfriend then there would be a lot more teasing involved rather than her just saying, "Someone? What a very lucky person this 'someone' is. I can't even get a guy to pick me some dandelions and those are weeds."

  • Optimus was current in his den when he heard the sound of voices outside. At first, he had decided to let them do what they were doing, but then the teasing and the laughter started. The wolf quietly made his way out onto the beach, leaving giant paw prints in the red sand. For once it actually seemed to be comfortable warm outside, and the ocean was mildly brushing against the shore.

It was easy enough for Optimus to see the small group. They were settled rather close to his den, allowing him to hear the conversation going on. A small smile appeared on his maw. It reminded him so much of his Autobots.

"Oh, Miss Swan, you are not worth dandelions," Optimus

came forward with his own teasing tone," I would say at the very least someone would have to gain the whole ocean before they had a sufficient gift." He hoped she didn't take what he had said in the wrong way.

    screeaaming.

    also rushed.

Ah the familiar sound of her friendly metal companion making his way on over and she perked up with a swoosh of her tail over the red sand. At his words she pursed her lips together before her forehead wrinkled with a fake scowl and she lifted her eyes upwards to blink at Optimus. "Maybe so." Elizabeth replied and her facade faltered as she another grin spilled over her black maw. "But even that might not satisfy my romantic appetite. I think someone would have to offer me the entire world in the palm of their hand to even catch my eye." She stated with a toss of her head before the feline leaned back on her haunches before giving another dazzling smirk towards the autobot.

  • And there was the comeback. Optimus rolled his blue optics, trying to suppress the laughter that oh so wanted to ebrupt from his maw. The wolf swore that the tigeress's had her heart set on making him laugh. Every time she was around him she would crack a joke, flashing that same devilish smirk each time. He, in return, would always try to hide his inner struggles. She had gotten him to smile on multiple occasions, a feat in and of itself. Her smile was just contagious to him. It reminded him of several happy memories saved in his processor, several of them being of his home.

Laughing, on the other hand, she did not have the pleasure of hearing. But he swore she was the one adding a yet onto the end of that sentence. Like now, when he was trying to be kind, and she had flipped the situation completely on it's head. A large smirk of his own grew across him face, something almost rarer than a laugh, and his tail wagged ever so slightly. "If it is the world you want, then may the kind sir who gets it for you not be ruthlessly murdered by all of it's newly-inslaved civilians, or be rejected by you," he jested.

  • Romantic love was pretty much a foreign subject to Valemon. Like, he knew his mommy and daddy loved each other. But, he loved his family, too, as well as his friends. And that was about the extent of it. Though, if Mike wanted to collect shells for one of his friends, too, then Val thought that was a great idea. Even if he wanted to stop him, it wasn't like he owned all the seashells on the beach, as cool as that would be.

The cub lifted his head at Elizabeth's reply, giving her a smile. While 'exquisite' was a word he'd never heard before, she'd agreed it was pretty. It was decided, then. Val would use that one as the center of the necklace, right in the middle. And, he probably had enough now for the rest, too. So, while he began to move the sand he'd dug up back into place, he continued to listen in on Elizabeth and Optimus. She wanted dandelions? Well, no one had ever picked any for himself, either, he usually just did it himself. But, he hadn't known she liked them so much. Now, although he knew she liked the water, even he knew that it was impossible to move the whole ocean in order to give it to someone. And, if that wasn't going to happen, so was gifting someone the entire world. The cub looked up, quite confused. What on earth were they talking about? "How?" he asked. He'd just started to make a list of ideas for presents for Elizabeth, consisting of both dandelions and water, but the world might be hard to come by, especially if there was murder involved.

  • " HOLY SHIT! " mike blushed at elizabeth statement, shuffling his paws nervously. "yeah, someone. don't get in my personal business, alright?" he would snap, his face still clearly red from his embarrassment. maybe this was a bad idea... no. he couldn't give up now. taking a deep breath, rolling up his long sleeves. wading into the water, he flinched at how cold it was for a moment, but then started picking up seashells one by one. • "You think I can't be polite and humorous at the same time?" Shining retorted with an amused smile. He wasn't exactly a comedian, but the tom definitely knew how to come up with a good joke or two from time to time. Or... at least he thought he could. He didn't follow up, as now Optimus showed up to the scene, and decided to... well, say a few nice words to Elizabeth. Shine declined to comment, opting to turn away and assist in the hunt for seashells and/or buried treasure with Mike. He could sense the embarrassment slightly rolling off him, so the Captain decided to try and pull his thoughts away from it.

"I rarely ever see anyone wear shirts," Shine commented, digging a bit into the sand as he looked over to the creamy feline. "Is it for fashion?"

  • Optimus's smile grew as Valemon asked his question. The child reminded him so much of Bumblebee in his younger years. It brought back so many good memories."Oh, Valemon," he said, laying down to see the lion better," It's a simple joke. It basically means that someone would have to do something really big for Elizabeth for her to like them." He hoped that sufficed.

  • " HOLY SHIT! " mike looked up at shining when the captain asked the question. shuffling his paws in the sand, he began digging as well. "no. uh, it reminds me of my old life. it was some of the only stuff brought with me when i... changed." he whispered softly, about to touch his winter sweater when he remembered his paws were wet. setting it back in the water, he found a shiny, red shell. he examined it for a moment before wading up towards the dry sand and placing it there, along with some other shells he had found along the way. this would be his little collection of shells for the girl he loved.
