  • Loren stood up next to Erik and grabbed both of his hands. "Erik, don't. The bruises... They-" She looked down. Oh good lord Loren great job. She shook her head, knowing what she just got herself into. "Erik, I'm the Beta.. I'm okay. He just gets to drunk when he comes home he doesn't know what he's doing. Its fine." The teen said with a shaky smile. He doesn't mean it, after all, he is my dad. She let out a sad sigh, knowing that the man in front of her wouldn't take her bullshit. She might as well just show them everything right? That would only make them angrier. Loren chuckled as she looked up. She looked at Erik with fear filled eyes. "You don't know what its like living there. What he's like." She said, letting out a shaky sigh. Do you know what you're doing? Are you crazy? Her mind raced, asking herself if she should stop right here. It would only get Erik angrier and dad's beating would only get worse.

  • Eva wasn't surprised when he stood and she quickly launched to her feet. Knowing all too well what his anger could do, knowing that this girl was afraid of her father, but maybe she didn't want him to get hurt? She didn't know why she wouldn't though, bruises are serious. But, talking, that was brave, but she had to let them both know that it was okay if she didn't share more. Listening to the girls words she jumped on at her chance. "Erik," she mumbled, placing a hand on his chest. "You can't do this to her, don't force it." These words came out with more force. The poor girl was already in a sort of distress, nearly in tears over it. Eva knew he meant well, but sometimes forcing a hurt girl to speak hurt more then not speaking at all. "She'll tell us when she is ready, so stop, okay?" She herself began to take it personally, a look of determination shone in her eyes. "If she is ready now, she will tell you," glancing at Loren and giving her a small mod she continued. "But if she isnt, you need to let it go." it was odd for Evangeline to have such a large input. Usually, she kept out of things to make them less complicated, but this one hit close to home. Removing her hand she placed it on Lorens shoulder. "Loren, you Dont need to explain if you aren't ready to." This came from deep within Eva, letting an immense amount of emotion to drop from her words.

  • His hands stopped shaking when she touched them, and instead of pulling away he pulled her into him. His arms wrapped around her gently, soft in touch. Erik would not hurt her, no t anyone there ever. But whomever hurt them should wish he never found out. “That’s a load of bullshit and you know it Loren.” He said softly as he rested his forehead on her shoulder. “I couldn’t stop them when I was younger. I won’t let it get worse for you.” He lifted his head rob look at her. “Because it will only escalate. You’re own Beta, as you said. Let me and Theo and the rest of us do our job at protecting you.”

His gaze fell to Evangelina as she spoke, eyes dropping to her hand on his chest. She spoke truth, that he needed to stop. He cleared his throat as he pulled himself away, stepped away from them. He tore his gaze from the lot of them. “Fine.” He grumbled, growling as he turned and left, pulling off his hoodie as he did. He shifted into his wolf as soon as he was outside and let out a strangled howl as he rambled off, needing to blow off the steam he built up. What better way than running? He honestly thought that, maybe, going to a strip club in the city for a good shag to get that anger out, but something stopped him even though he would normally do it.

Harlow immediately took note of the more somber mood that surrounded Andrew due to her question and the woman couldn't help but wish she had never opened her mouth. People had their own reasons for why they did things, and often times they were far too personal to share with other people. She knew there were several people in their pack who didn't like to speak of their past and the woman did what she could to respect that. However, Andrew interested her more and she wanted to figure him out.

Right as she was about to tell him that he didn't need to answer, Andrew surprised her and did. Harlow listened quietly, keeping her gaze facing forward as they walked. She did, however, notice his more closed off body language as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. As he spoke, Harlow felt the urge to lay a comforting hand on his arm but resisted, conflicted by her own emotions. She had to remembers her own rules.

She felt a pang in his chest as he provided some of the details of his childhood, a small frown on her face as she processed everything she was told. His mother was dead? Did he blame himself? The brunette cast a brief glance in his direction to peer at his face, but quickly snapped her attention back to the ground before he could notice. Andrews answer was so sincere and she immediately began to get flustered due to him trusting this information with her. Harlow, of course, began to over think everything, but her thought process was interrupted by his own question.

Harlow thought for a moment, expression slightly guarded, as she thought back to her own childhood. It wasn't as tragic as some but I had caused her a lot of stress over the years. Finally, after staying silent for a short time, she spoke. "I guess all my life I've kind of just been told what I was supposed to become," She mused in a humorless way, running her fingers along the trunk of a tree to her right. Growing up, her mother and father had constantly pushed her to marry into a rich family in every city they lived in, urging her to use her looks to the advantage of the family. Harlow, obviously, was not the type to simply settle down and didn't take well to this.

"I kind of just went with the career that was the most opposite to what my family wanted for me. It also allowed me to get as far away from them as possible." A dry laugh escaped Harlow's lips, though she coughed to get rid of her grim expression. "The stress also keeps me busy, though I do miss getting outside." The woman gave him her usually small smile, running her fingers through her wavy brown locks. She hadn't shared that with many people. What was with her today?

Harlow stopped in her tracks, smelling the air and knotting her eyebrows together. Apples? Noah had to be nearby, then. She couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed that they had to stop talking but revealed none of this on her face. "He's close... Work your magic, Gaston."

//I was working on a reply when all the other posts came in. Sorry if it seems rough and sort of rushed!

Upon hearing the whistle, Theo turned to look at Erik and immediately knew what was about to happen. It was soon after that he heard the other man's voice echoing in his mind. I can probably guess, he responded mentally, expression darkening slightly. In his life, he had seen many instances of domestic abuse. Many of the people he met at his foster home had been victims to it. It was something that couldn't be excused, though the situation was usually much more complex than it seemed.

Theo watched Erik get to his feet and was immediately put on edge, sensing the anger radiating off of the other man clear as day. That was not good. Messing rashly with the situation would only make things worse and Lorren had already confirmed their fears with her misplaced words. Soundlessly, the tall and intimidating man got to his feet as well and smoothly walked over to where Erik stood. As soon as he was standing face to face with his friend, Theo sent him a Stern glare.

"You're letting your emotions get the better of you," Theo stated simply as if it were just an observation. Still, his shoulder muscles were tense from his own anger as well as preparing himself just in case a fight broke out. "You're a warrior. Act like one. We don't rush headfirst into situations like this." Theo himself was a skilled fighter. This was partly due to his impressive size, though the man also seemed to move with a grace not usually applied to someone of his stature. There was also the fact that he didn't allow his judgement to cloud his better judgement.

He quietly watched the exchange between Eva and Erik and, before he could say anything, watched the man run out of the house. He felt the urge to go after him and did, shaking his head. "Ill be back soon." With that, Theo went off after his fellow sentinel, shifting as soon as he was out of the house to move faster. He understood how upset the man was, but he did need to learn how the control his emotions.

  • Erik was built for speed, his paws quiet as he ran. He was born thin but muscular, able to hold his own and be able to dish it back, able to move quick and efficiently. He figured the older sentinel was following him and he did not care. Theo knew those abuse signs just as he, but unlike Theo Erik would act when he knew he could. He would wait, watch, then act. Or at least he tried. He suffered many reprimands for his actions, a lot less than he should. Jumping over roots, Erik slowly came to a holt by the lake, a growl in his chest as he paced. I can’t just sit by while she hurts! He said telepathically to Theodore. It was something that spoke his anger for what they just learned and for what wasn’t going on with his sister. If he couldn’t be help to them, would could he do?

  • There Loren stood, shocked. She couldn't speak, let alone move. When Erik broke from the.. hug as she called it, she turned to the blue haired girl. More tears seemed to fall, and Loren could barely manage to get any words out. "Thank you." she said, her voice barely audible. Exhausted, Loren flopped back into the chair and pulled her knees to her chest. She let out a few more silent sobs, and after that, she seemed fine. "Well that was emotinally exhausting." She said with an empty laugh. No matter how many times she tried, nothing could make the situation better. Erik and Theo were already out to rip her father to shreds. How wonderful. The teen sighed once more, setting her head between her knees. Great. Just great. She closed her eyes, squeezed out a few more tears.

  • rowdyy.

Looking at the girl, she gave her a sad gaze. She couldn't imagine what she went though, so sitting be her side she rubbed Lorens back gently. Laughing along with her, knowing all to well not to question her laughter, she looked her up and down. "Yes, it always is," she said with a forced grin. Her eyes wandered to the door, desperately wanting to go after him. Letting her pack bond flow directly to Loren, she asked; Should I go after him? Do you think he would notice me? Never mind, do you want me to? To make sure he isn't doing anything crazy? That last question was genuine, she knew that Theo would stop him if he were to try, but sometimes she feared that guys got too caught up in the moment, in revenge. Sucking in a deep breath, she placed a gentle hand in the girls arm. I want to help you, I think this is how I can. But I won't go if you don't want me too. Looking the girl in the eyes, she tried to read her, she searched for emotion. Although she suspected her presence will be unwelcome, she hoped to ease Lorens mind.

Jeremiah looked at Bedda as shock filled his features, hearing that she noticed him before he entered the room. This didn't help the heat in his face, though it did cause a small smile to creep onto his lips while he listened to her. Even though the situation was slightly tense and heavy, he couldn't help but like hearing the fact that she looked for him.

However, as the time passed, Miah could tell she was growing tired. Any fool could notice that she hadn't slept, or ate, very well in days and it bothered him to no end. He hated the idea of Bedda, or anyone else, going hungry or without sleep. It would only weaken them in the end, maybe possibly worse.

His eyes softened as Bedda mentioned time and effort, and gave her knee a slight squeeze. "I'm willing to wait for you," he said softly. "Just don't push me away anymore, okay?" He tilted his head lightly as he spoke, a piece of his hair falling beside his eye.

"What if I was made for you, and you were made for me?"

    Andrew Waters || 26 yrs || Hunter — pic

Andrew glanced at Harlow as she began to speak of her past, happy she was being open with him. Andrew like when others were able to be open with him, even though he knew he needed to work on being open. Andrew rather liked the idea of remaining private and unharmed, though hated when others remained that way towards him. Is that hypocritical?

He watched as Harlow touched the tree beside her, noting that she was sincere in how much she missed it. He had known that Harlow didn't get a lot of time to relax, but time alone was always good for people. For Harlow to not have time for that, it would only make things more stressful in the long run.

Andrew stopped as soon Harlow did, sniffing the air with her. She was right. Noah had managed to cover up his scent, or at least enough to make it very faint. If Andrew wasn't careful, he could lose the boy's scent. Glancing at Harlow as she called him Gaston again, he shot her a playful glare. "Trust me. I'm all over it, Princess."

  • Noah pic

After awhile Noah had started to whistle twirling a stick around his fingers. He'd already broken up several others and shredded them in a sense to cure his boredom but that only lasted for so long. With a curious hum he rolled over onto his stomach and rested hid head on his arms again. Perhaps he will just go ahead and take a nap, there's pleanty of time before they would find him.

    Ashley pic

Ashley sat stunned for a moment watching all of the events unfold and sat speechless. She glanced at Loren and sighed with a smile. "Well no one can say that we don't look after our own. You have a new family with us and you'll definately find us acting like others holding onto each other. We will always have your back." Another smile flashed the girls way before she stood up. Suddenly she had started feeling exhausted and she knew if she didn't get to her room soon she would pass out. Whether it was from exhaustion or if her child was being a trouble make once again. With heavy breaths she held her stomach and started a slow walk to her bed room. Her head started to bob and eyes get heavy before she felt a rush flow through her making her feet on her consciousness. It was the brat pushing out once again trying to get a rush and cause her to black out. Ashley rounded the corner before her vision went speckled and she hit the ground passed out and made sure to aim for a way she wouldn't harm the child. The brunette was completely unharmed just unconscious from the troublesome baby within her. Sooner or later she would wake up and be fully conscious. Hopefully she would cause too much of a heart attack, too much had happened already this was just minor in her opinion. Just an inconvienence.

    Kari pic

A thrill she hadn't felt before rushed through her body as she watched the guys rush out of the house shifting and sprinting away. Not one to be left out of a good beating she sprinted out as well. Ashley passed out after she had left so she hadn't any reason to stick around so why not have some fun? Shifting into her wolf form she flashed a grin before digging her feet in trying to catch up.

Bedda was quiet as her eyes closed, blinking them open again to look up at him. “You’re too sweet on me, Miah.” She muttered, reaching up to brush his hair from his eyes. “You know that? A girl like me might just assume you want me in your bed.” She gave a small chuckle, changing the serious vibe to a more flirtatious one. Trying on lifhten the mood, trying to stay awake. “Come on, we should get back.”

Moving to get up was a bad idea. Her head spun as she forced herself up, her free hand gripping the tree beside her. She gritted her teeth as she forced herself up completely, breathing deeply. Don’t let him see you fall. Don’t. Don’t let him. They can’t see you weak. Jeremiah can’t see you weak. She formed a fist as she stood up, rubbing her temples with her free hand. “Let’s go.” She said softly as she started walking away, slow to reserve her energy so as to not fall.

    //Super super super rushed

Harlow sent Andrew back the same glare, a smirk playing at her lips, as she heard her own nickname and crossed her arms across her chest. "Alright, hot shot," she shot back with a flash of humor in her eyes. "Impress me, then." With that, the woman turned on her heel and began to search as well, patiently scenting the air. It was so faint that she could hardly pick it out, but it was certainly there. Noah's scent seemed to be mixed muddled with mud, apples, and leaves and it made her head spin. Hopefully Andrew would be having better luck with it all.

The woman began circling the area, knitting her eyebrows together and stopping on occassion to stop, close her eyes, and scent the air. However, the trail only seemed to be getting weaker the further she went. How could someone do this for a living? It was completely and utterly impossible. Harlow stiffled a sigh of frustration, leaning up against a nearby tree with an annoyed expression.

Suddenly, Harlow knelt down on the ground and picked up a small piece of wood, turning it over curiosly in her hands. It almost looked like someone had been shredding it... "Andrew!" She called, holding up with piece of shredded stick and waving it in the air in excitement. Had she done something right that didn't involve medicine? The thought made the brunette pretty excited and it showed on her face, eyes lit up like she had won the lottery.

☀ Interacting With: Gir and Piggy   SoulDreamer

Theo relished the feeling of the grass under his paws and the wind that ruffled his fur as he raced through the forest, following the scent that Erik was leaving behind. It had been some time since he had last had time to shift and run like he was and it was rather relaxing. This was one of the few moments in which the man let his guard down and become completely at ease. However, as he swiveled his ears to listen behind him, he caught the sound of more paws racing after him.

The man whipped his head around, still racing at an impressive speed, to see Kari following a ways behind him. He tilted his head to the side in slight confusion as to why she was following, though settled with giving her a quick nod instead. What she wanted, he did not know, but he didn't have the time to question her when finding Erik was so imparative.

Hearing Erik speak through their link made Theo narrow his eyes, pushing his legs faster. What was he planning on doing? These situations are delicate. Confronting him, or worse, now will only make things worse for Loren. This, he had no doubt of. The beta was still a minor and would be forced to relocate somewhere else. She would most likely not be able to stay with the pack as the authorities would be quick to figure out that is was one of them who had confronted the father in, most likely, a violent way.

Stop letting your emotions cloud your judgement. If you rush into this, you're no better than him. Hopefully that would cause Erik to stop moving, though Theo could already scent that he was getting closer. It wasn't that Theo didn't understand what the other sentinel was feeling. He was sure that if he had a couple drinks before hearing what was happening, he would have already been at Loren's door with his senses overcome with bloodlust. That couldn't happen.

Erik was still pacing by the banks of the lake, growling as his ears shifted with each sound around him. His silver eyes watched around him. The small breeze said that Theo was getting close, but still a ways off; the younger male was just quicker on his feet than most sentinels. I don’t just mean Loren! I may have some booze in me, but not enough to cloud my judgement. I know if any of us go at him we lose her. She’s only seventeen. He growled to himself, digging his front paws into the ground.

I mean my sister too, Theo. He sighed softly, body laying down in the mud. She’s not eating again and not sleeping. She’s been at those punching bags all night and I don’t know why. You know she doesn’t fly off the handle like she did this morning, especially not three times in one week! She won’t talk to me though. Not like she used to. The full moon’s coming and she’s normally trying to figure out what to make for dinner for it and this month she’s been doing nothing but train and patrol the grounds. She won’t let me take her place so she can sleep. What do I do? I can’t wven help my baby sister. Am I that bad at my job?

Her tail was wagging as she kicked it up a gear acting like a puppy getting a new toy. She had been practicing combat and evasive manoeuvres for weeks now so it felt amazing to finally let loose. When she caught Theo's glances and read the unspoke question she really didn't have a reply. Why was she going? She wasn't sure. Either it was to stop Erik or it was to beat the father's face in. Whichever option was chosen would be fine with her. Theo seemed bound and determined to stop the other and he seemed like a level headed person so she figured she would take his leave. Lost in her thoughts she only realized that Erik had stopped and soon after Theo had. With her size she skidded a few feet in the dirt before slowing down enough to turn around to the gathering. Looking between the two she plopped her butt down and watched giving her own thoughts as well. Perhaps we should settle down and try to talk this out before making any decisions. Do we truly know that this is what she would want? Yes, it is bad and we should eviscerate him, however, it is normal custom that they are still family and with her age there may be many repercussions. I will admit, if we do some skull bashing I am all in but even in my lack of knowledge of these things it could cause her more harm than it is now. She raised a paw to scratch behind her ear before she resumed her thoughts. Personally my family one of us would corner who we are concerned about and ask them what was going on. It always started in a fight but letting that person know that we care about them enough to protect them from themselves by fighting for them is what people need to open up. To know that no matter what they have people there for them. Or it could've been so they could blow off steam from stress and anger and that was why they opened up... But it worked either way.

  • (( On mobile ))

A pink wet nose snuggled centimeters above the soil, inhaling and exhaling carefully. Several scents processed through the canine snout; a passing hare, some deer and the faint musk of wolf. The pink tongue flicked out over the nose in thought. In the midmorning sun, light glinted off of a startling white coat that seemed too ivory to even be real. Indeed ,however, the coat was littered with terrible scars from what looked to be past fights. The scars derived from abuse, years upon years of terrible beatings and attacks. Such a riddled body ,frail and withdrawn, belonged to Tobias. A rogue, nothing more. His unique albino body with pink tinged features was often a sight to see, never quite blending in with his surroundings unless snow touched the ground.

Presently, the small lupus was finding it cumbersome to track down a meal this morning. The territory was unfamiliar to him, scents of other wolves further away but he was far enough out of there land they shouldn't catch wind of him. It seemed hunting down a rabbit was going to be his best bet. Carefully, Tobi trotted along the scent trail, right ear flicking around while his left simply remained in one position. The canopy of leaves provided poor camouflage for him, his compact frame weaving around patches of sticks and thorny appendages. The trail was becoming more prominent, indicating that he was close approaching. Tobias knew it was time to begin crouching low to the ground.

His paw pads maneuvered off the ground to put himself on tip-toes, strategically placing himself downwind of his prey. Like a ghost in a cemetery, he didn't make a sound; no loud paw thumps, no wagging tail, ears stilled, breath softened. Everything about his posture was to ensure he didn't let another breakfast escape his claws. By the time the beige creature noticed water blue hues eyeing it from the brambles, Tobi was upon him, sinking his powerful jaws into the soft creatures neck until it became pliant and lukewarm. The kill was barely enough to sustain him for the day but it would have to do. He needed to make himself scarce to the next town over before nightfall, when the nightmares plagued him. The male carried his breakfast in his jaws, holding it well above the ground to keep it from dragging.

If his memory served right, his blue orbs had caught sight of a reflective body of water, refreshing and of decent size. It would be best to bring his kill there and eat it at the shore. His small body trotted along, tail slightly wagging in contentment at having the day start off well. It was a ways away but nothing too crazy. Once the sight of the water reached his gaze, Tobias broke into a steady slope, coming to a stop at the edge. Just the sight of sunlight flinging off the glass like surface made him set the bloody rabbit down to stare for a while. Captivity was a bleak picture all the time so he cherished each new memory with a tender care like a child. Scents of wolves drifted into his nose but they were on the other side of the lake it seemed so he casually played upon the ground, adjusting his meal between his front paws before digging in slowly.

So, right now, Jeremiah is trying to comfort Bedda away from the house as she feels left out of the pack. Harlow and Andrew are out looking for Noah who is hiding up in an apple tree as a game. Ashley has passed out in the hallway due to the baby, and Morgan is just outside the house playing her guitar. Loren spoke a bit on the abuse that she has suffered at home, making Erik upset by it all. He ran off and Theo chased after him to try and stop him from doing something rash. Kari followed after the two guys, and Eva is comforting Loren in the house. Our newest member, Tobias, is out in the territory somewhere.

Jeremiah felt a smile crack free and he shook his head lightly at Bedda's playful banter. At least she wasn't so down any more. He watched as she moved to get up, though he quickly noticed that she didn't appear her normal, physical self. Of course, this may be on account that she hadn't ate or slept, but she still didn't look good. He watched as she gripped the tree, and then how she rubbed her temples as she suggested they get going.

He slowly rose from his knelt position and watched as she began to walk away, seeing how she was going slower than normal. His eyebrows knitted in concern and he jogged a few steps to make it to her side. "Something's wrong," he said carefully, his eyes skirting over her form though he could see no physical evidence aside from her slow movements.

"I think you should go talk to Harlow. Pushing yourself like this is only going to make things worse for you." Her health, along with anyone else's, was very important to him. He himself hated getting sick, and hated seeing anyone else sick. So, if Bedda was becoming sickened due to this past weeks events he was not going to be a gentle push over like he normally would be.

Morgan watched as first Erik rushed out of the house, followed by Theo and then Kari. Her music stopped as her eyes took in the sight of her pack mates running off, confusion taking hold of her features. Just what is going on? She watched until she could no longer see them and then glanced up at the sky. Perhaps she should return to the house. She had played long enough out here.

However, she didn't rise up just yet. She set her guitar across her lap and simply listened to the woods around her. Besides, even if she got up, she wouldn't be able to help with whatever was going on. She wouldn't be able to catch up with them at all at this point, or keep up with them even if she made it.

Andrew let out a laugh as she called him hot-shot, and quickly began to get to work. Noah's scent was here, but it was mixed with the scent of apples, leaves, mud, and water. Andrew found himself having to concentrate on the scent in order not to lose it.

As Andrew looked over the area, he could see where Noah had been. There were broken twigs and plants, showing that someone had rolled around. Andrew found himself smiling at the thought that this young boy was already trying to cover up his scent. Andrew was big on younger ones learning the pack skills early. He found it helpful to learn everything at a younger age as it tended to stick better.

His attention was drawn back to Harlow as he heard his name being called, seeing the brunette not too far off from him. She was waving something in the air. Quickly, he bounded over to her to stop before her, seeing the piece of wood she held. His eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion as he took it from her, examining it for a moment. Noah's scent was all over it, and it was shredded. He grinned lightly, nodding to Harlow. "Nice job, Princess. You found something helpful."

Damien walked over to the wooden table and sat beside Ivy with a friendly smile. "Got any plans for today oh great and powerful alpha?" His hazel eyes glinted teasingly as he turned to face her. As a few words of the conversation from the others reached his ears he turned and furrowed his eyebrows confused at how the odd subject had come up. The man opened his mouth briefly to input his experience but quickly closed it again as Erik began to speak once again. Like Loren he too regretted his first time but not because it was a bad experience for him specifically. They were both sixteen and the girl he was with at the time had told him her parents wouldn't be home for a while so naturally he had gone over and things got pretty heated between the two to say the least. Her parents ended up coming back early and Damien had almost slipped out of the house unnoticed until an alarm began blaring as soon as he opened the back door. He had gotten lectured by her parents but managed to get off easily while she on the other hand was from then on homeschooled with no phone or way to contact him.The event had left a guilty subconscious at the back of his mind for some time but he shook it off and let the group continue without his interruption. He returned his gaze to the silver(?) haired woman and waited for her reply patiently.

The teen ran her fingers through her hair. "I need a drink. she said groggily, sitting up slowly. Loren then got up and walked to the packs liqour cabinet, and pulled out a bottle of vodka. She opened the bottle, letting the smell fill her nose. She then took a swig off it, and walked back to the living room with the bottle. "Anybody else?" she asked, holding the bottle in the air. Her second option was weed, but she just can't have joints around children. She looked over to the hallway, and she immideatly jumped up. Ashley had fallen, and she hadn't noticed. She set the bottle in the chair and rushed to te expecting moms side, lifting her head into her lap.

  • Eva watched as Loren left ignoring the fact that the teen just went for alcohol. So, instead of relying on a responce, she used her best judgement. Ni, she would not follow after Erik and them. Yes, she would go on a walk. Stripping her clothes she shifted and ran off toward the lake, she scented Erik, Theo, and Kari. This caused her to take a different route. Trotting through the forest, she found herself closer to the opposite side of the lake from her packmates. Walking up to the water, she looked at her reflection. The black-brown wolf staring back made her shiver. Every time she faces her wolf self reminded her of that dreadful first time. Swinging her head away quickly, an odd scent wafted into her nostrils. This was one of a wolf, but not one she recognized, along with dead rabbit. Tilting her head, she saw him, probably a good fifty feet away. Sitting and staring, she debated in weather to go to him. Also crossing her mind was going to her group of packmates, but she figured that she would be unwanted, unneeded. Maybe if she just watched she could figure him out. Was he a wolf, like any other or a werewolf, like herself. Maybe he would confront her.
