Xias nodded not as positive as she was, the next demon was them most powerful of them all, and after that it was the gods they faced

Mercy knew it was going to be harder now, but they couldn’t give up. “We have to believe we can do this. If there’s any doubt then we’ll fail.” She said softly.

"But if we get too cocky we will fail anyway" Xias said

"I know and I'm not being cocky. Xias it's called being optimistic. I know things can go horribly wrong, but there's always a brighter side." Mercy said softly.

"I know. i wasn't saying you were, just that if we get cocky we will be more likely to fail" Xias said

"I know what you mean." Mercy said thoughtfully. She had faith in them, but it was going to be tough.

Xias smiled and led the way to the town

Mercy walked beside him quietly.

Xias found an inn and rented them a room, before heading for the market

Mercy went up to the room so that she could wash up.

Xias got the supplies they would need for a long journey

All cleaned up Mercy sat on the bed and looked around.

Xias returned and smiled at her

Mercy smiled back and said, “ it’s nice to have a real bed for once.”

"I haven't slept in a bed in years" Xias noted

Mercy smiled and said, "I spent most of my time sleeping on the ground because I was hunting people down. This makes for a nice change."

"And i have been hunting the demon lords and the gods since my birth" Xias said "well since i learned of my birth at least"

"If it had been Lumina and someone else sent to stop you, they would have succeeded. I'm glad they sent me." Mercy said with a smile.

"I don't think so" Xias said "Though i would have died without you to aide me in that last fight"
