  • After a long millennia, it appears that the world of Genova has finally started to see peace. No longer was there war between the species, no longer were the elves sold as slaves, and no longer was magic used as a tool for destruction. However, not everything is good. Because of the war ending, no longer were soldiers needed for the battlefield. Many do not have the skills, besides fighting, to do anything. As a result, many hidden organizations are beginning to pop-up and are causing conflict in the region. Many kingdoms, as a result of the war, are completely bankrupt and cannot afford the cost of snuffing out these rebels. Even the ruling city of Tundrafel, a fairly cold and wintry kingdom where the residing ruler lives, is having issues with the seedy, underground movements. Lurking in the shadows of the poverty-stricken parts of the city.

Plot: Growing concerns in the capital kingdom of Tundrafel has led for the current ruler to expand the current amount of guards and magic-users in the kingdom. With the shadowy organizations in the underbelly of the kingdom, investigations for the leadership are in full swing.

    A little background information:

    4uie09.jpg

    Tundrafel

Tundrafel has a fairly dry and cold climate. During the winter months, most of city is covered in a large blanket of snow. Due to a lack of resources, most goods have to be imported. As a result, Tundrafel has to make up for the high foot-traffic of imported goods with other sources. They earn a large amount of their money from the magic university that is located right next to the castle of the ruler. The university is used for both learning magic-users, who need to fine tune their magical abilities, and for experienced magic-users, to discover new uses of magic.

    Species

Elves are a humanoid race. Compared humans they are typically shorter, have a slender, lithe build, and pointed ears. Due to a war with humans they became largely enslaved and was only recently freed by the current ruler. However, they still face discrimination. As a result of limited skills, they mainly focus on hard labor, mercenary work, and thievery. Overall, the elves are now a people associated with poverty, crime, barbarism, and are often used as scapegoats for humanity's difficulties. Though rare, humans and elves can biologically reproduce. Their children often have a mix of attributes they inherited from their parents.

    Rules-

    1. I would like this RP to be semi-advanced to advanced. I would prefer a paragraph (or more) and amazing grammar. I understand if you have a low muse.

    2. Anything that I deem too inappropriate will be blurred away or sent to PM.

    3. Third-person RP only.

    4. This is a polyamorous RP, so beware...

    NAME Ashur
    race — Elf
    SEX Male

    APPEARANCE
Ashur has very soft and delicate features, almost bordering on effeminate with full lips and prominent eyelashes. His face is full, leading many to believe he is younger than his age. His eyebrows are slightly thick and a bit bushy. His eyes are very dull in appearance and are divided by a small, narrow nose. His body is very slender and only has a slight build of muscle with skin that appears smooth and milky. One of the most noticeable features on him is a set of tattoos that starts on his chin and are only noticeable down to his neck. The rest of the artwork is mainly covered by clothing and must be left to the imagination of how far they go down his body.

    BASICS
Hair – Pale colored, messy, thick, wavy
    Eyes – Dull, green, wide
Skin- Extremely pale and smooth to touch.
    Height – 5’4
    Weight – 130 lbs

    PERSONALITY
Ashur is a soft-spoken and quiet individual, mainly due to his past where he would be punished if he spoke out of turn. He is reserved and doesn’t express many emotions, other than the occasional curious look. He also can’t hold a conversation that well and often stutters over words, which results in embarrassment. Despite being almost entirely apathetic, he does hold a softer side towards those he likes and animals. (Probably the only reason he chooses interact with animals is because they do not speak back.) Unsurprisingly, Ashur prefers the company of only a few individuals or being by himself. It is quite shocking that a former slave would take up reading books, but he is extremely avid reader. Although reading had been forbidden as a slave, it was the only time he seemed to resist his master (well, except for when he murdered him).

  • NAME Elaine

race — Magic User (Female Half Human/Half Elf)

    SEX Female

    APPEARANCE

Elaine had very mixed features, as she is half human and half elf. She doesn’t have the pale complexion most elves usually have. She had a very pinkish human color to her skin. She wears her hair down most of the time, to cover her ears. She feels it’s almost best to hide the fact that she’s half and half.

    BASICS

    Hair – very long, Brown

    Eyes – Golden Brown

    Skin- pinkish color

    Height – 5’2”

    Weight – 110lbs

    PERSONALITY

Elaine is a very reserved girl. She often keeps to herself, as a result of her being a Magic User. She tries to act normal, but she’s often had some trouble with that. A select few people in her region know she is Half and Half. If she’s alone, she’s a very bubbly person however. She hates being so reserved, but she feels she must do so.

    OTHER

Her human side is highly allergic to strawberries.

    Name:

    Tristan

    Race:

    Human

    Sex/Gender:

    Male

    Hair Color:

    Blonde

    Eye Color:

    Blue

    Height:

    5'11

    Personality:

Tristan is a loud, brash young man who lives life whenever he can. However, while he will go off on some adventure or casual pursuit, he's capable of working hard. Especially if given an important task. He's insanely loyal to his friends, his people; Basically, if he likes you enough, he'll be devoted to you. He also has quite the soft, rather playful and sensitive side.

    Other:

An orphan who was raised by a bookstore owner.

  • (Both are approved. Sorry I didn't go too much into detail on the roles. Basically Tristan is hired by the ruler to act as a guard for the city and can perform investigations if he sees suspicious behavior. Elaine can either be a student at the university or can be a professor who is trying to discover new magical abilities. She can also work alongside Tristan with his investigations. Their relationship can be anything you guys want, but to move the RP along maybe they should already be lovers. As for Ashur, he is a bit of a street-urchin that Tristan and Elaine discover.)

  • (I'll start us off.)

In the the wintry kingdom of Tundrafel, there was signs of an early winter beginning. There was a small collection of snow beginning to form on the buildings and in the streets. Many were bundled up with thicker clothes and armor to keep their body temperatures warm. Closer to the center of the city, the upper class and elites (mainly the magic-users and the aristocrats) were busy and self-absorbed with their own interests. Closer to the middle of the city were the merchants and artists, attempting to sell their goods and work to those looking to buy food or who have a bit of expendable income. In the outskirts of the kingdom where the wretches of the city. Criminals, dissidents, elves (albeit separate from the other undesirables), and other undesirable groups who set up home in the rundown parts of the city.

Among the middle of the city, a lone elf made his way through the crowd of vendors. Although some were suspicious of the young man, he didn't seem like he was doing anything illicit that needed a strong reaction. However, the poor boy was starving. He needed food, but could not afford even a single piece of fruit. His fingers were quick, most would not notice his quick grab at an apple. Perhaps the vendor was quicker than most to notice, maybe the elf was too fatigue from a lack of food. Either way, the vendor had noticed. "Thief! Thief!" He bellowed and ran at the elf. The elf noticing that his action was no longer hidden, began to run as fast as possible.

Although quite fast, the elf's speed was drastically cut from the cold weather and his fatigue. He reached for the dagger on his belt and began muttering a spell under his breath and slashing at the air. He was attempting to use a bit of shadow magic to transport himself away. However, the ability seemed to fail due to his exhaustive state. He cursed underneath his breath when he noticed that he was running down a closed-off alley. He was about to turn around, but the man was right on his heels. Now the elf was cornered, nowhere to escape. The elf yelped when the man grabbed the shorter elf by the neck. "Now I got you, ya little dagger-eared bastard!" The man growled at the elf. The elf clasped at the man's hands around his throat, but the elf did not have the strength to fight off the vendor. Panic began to grow within the elf and he began to squirm, the vendor could easily kill him and no one would care.

  • The vendor forgot to realize one *tiny* thing: He had been followed. Tristan set off in pursuit once the scuffle broke out. He'd already been after the thief. Now, all he'd have to do was keep the other from taking justice into his own hands. "Attention! Take your hands off of the suspect!" the young man clad in armor bellowed towards the attacker.

He moved closer down the alley, hand on his sword's hilt at his side.

  • "This dagger-ear stole from me." The vendor spat with a growl. His eyes pointed down towards the single apple in the elf's left hand. However at the sight of the guard, his grip on the elf loosened slightly. Although the white-haired elf was caught, he was relieved that he could breathe and that he probably wouldn't die. However, he kept a tight grip on the apple in his hand. It was the only source of food that he had in the last few days, and he was not about to give it up.

  • "Then hand him over to me."

Tristan kept his voice firm and commanding. When he finally stopped close to the two, the blonde pulled his blade from its sheath. Intimidation did wonders...Occasionally. Sometimes, it just made things worse. Yet it was the only option he had right now. "My job is apprehend criminals like the elf. Yours is to sell wares; Not to dispatch vigilante justice." A little snark made its way into his commanding tone.

"Now, sir: Will you be following orders? Or will I have to get rough?"

  • The vendor seemed to debate about whether to let go of the elf or not. Ultimately deciding that it was not worth fighting with the guard over. "Fine, but I expect payment for the apple." He released the elf and pushed him towards the guard. The white-haired elf stumbled and caught himself on the chestplate of the guard. "You're lucky, dagger-ear. You should count your blessings." The vendor spat at the elf. The pale-haired elf continued to hold onto the other male, not trusting that the vendor was done tormenting him.

  • Tristan raised an eyebrow, before gesturing to the vendor to move along. "You will receive it, in time." he stated, watching as the man left. Just making sure he wouldn't pull any funny business. After this, he now approached the elf. Standing quietly and putting the blade back before moving to grab him.

  • As the vendor left, the elf began to relax a little. However, the pale-haired elf yelped at being touched by the guard. He began to struggle against the man's grip, obviously not wanting to be arrested. However, he didn't have much strength and could only wriggle against the man. Even if he was at full strength he doubted that he could escape from the guard.

  • "I'm really sorry, pal. Just doing my job." Tristan wrapped the elf's arm behind his back. Actually trying to be 'gentle' while he did so. Truth be told: Loving Elaine left him with a fondness towards them. Well, not really a fondness: He just couldn't bring himself to seriously harm a member of her species (Technically). The guard ushered the elfen male along, "No hard feelings, right?" Who was he kidding? There would be nothing but hard feelings.

Besides: He only stole one apple. No one ever stole food for fun. They stole it because they needed it. Maybe there was something Tristan could do...Ya know, to help him.

  • (Very coy last line, lol.)

The elf tried very little to struggle against the guard, he barely could expend the energy to stand. "P-Please, I just... I'm hungry a-and i don't have any money." He stuttered, his voice hoarse. He would occasionally stumble with his footing, but he began to feel his brain starting to get dizzy.

  • Hearing that prompted Tristan to stop for a moment. Briefly letting the male go free so he could eat the stolen fruit. ...But after that, it was off to the station. He wouldn't go *too* soft. "Then eat. I'm not going to stop you." Unless you try to escape. Because then I'll hunt you down. He added the last part silently, but gave the thief a look with the same meaning.

  • The elf turned around and looked at the male with a sharp gaze. "Uh..." He stared at the guard for a few seconds, obviously shocked by his response. As soon as he confirmed that the man was giving permission to eat the apple, he began to devour the fruit. It was a quite sight, he would take large bites and seemed to savor the taste of food. It took him less than a minute to finish off half of the apple. He looked up at the other male and sort of frowned. He took the apple from his mouth and held the hand out to the other male. The elf knew that the man would pay for the apple later. Even though he was still hungry and even though it would not make up for the trouble. He wanted the other man to know that he was sorry. His ears bent down slightly, obviously embarrassed (but also slightly disappointed from having to give up the apple).

  • "Ah, no. Y-You can keep it. Thank you for the offer, though." Tristan wasn't hungry, nor did he want to take away the elf's food. I mean...He'd almost gotten killed over it. But the blonde man appreciated the small "thank you." Thanks from the people he helped and served were always welcomed. And not just as a reason to stroke his famous ego. "And you're welcome." Assuming the next words out of the other's mouth were more thanks.

  • The elf gave the human an unsure look, but quickly began to devour the fruit. He stared at the blonde man with curious eyes, not sure why he was being nice to him. As he finished the apple, he continued to stare. "W-why...?" He couldn't quite put into words what he wanted to ask. Why was he being nice to an elf? He shivered slightly in the cold, not quite use to the weather of Tundrafel.

  • Tristan realized that the elf was looking at him strangely. He didn't trust him; And that was understandable. Elves weren't looked upon nicely in these parts. The vendor's words reflected that. So, it must have greatly confused the white-haired male when the guard showed him kindness. In answer, he gave a shrug, "Why...'Why am I being nice to you, an elf?' Let's just say: I have 'personal attachments.'"
