Mia nodded and smiled over at him, perhaps staring for a second or two longer than normal before she went ahead and dug into the meal once Louis had joined them. It was really good and she had to force herself to not eat it all quickly, and was slow about it. She couldn’t think of anything to talk about, but then again they were all eating and silence was comfortable with the father and child. Things felt almost normal.

ah man it’s been a while since I’ve thought about plot ideas hmmmm lemme brainstorm

so honestly the only thing I came up with was her breaking up with her “boyfriend”

I have been in a ...life slump I guess is the best word where I am unfocused so I really apologize for that idea being the only thing

all creative bones in my body have broken haha

other ideas - maybe them taking some kind of weekend trip somewhere, or it was planned and then they’re like o hey u can come

- something dramatic like an injury or sickness idk

The next couple of weeks [or days] Mia mostly spent her time job searching. She did manage to fit a part time one, but it was very minimal hours and only a couple times a week. It was very hard trying to find something full time and she was honestly more stressed out than usual, though she hid it well. Mia spent the remaining of her time with Louis and Naomi - and she had to admit she absolutely loved living with the two of them, though she knew it would eventually come to an end when she got her life back together.

Anyways, she was grateful when she was invited to stay with Louis and Naomi at his dads beach house. At first she had tried to decline, she didn’t want to keep intruding in their lives. But they both insisted, and Mia couldn’t exactly turn down a little girl, so she went along with them for the weekend. Mia had to say it was very relaxing. They ended up having a grand ol’ time at the beach, swimming, building things in the sand. Later on they had dinner, and now it was late and Louis was tucking Naomi off to sleep.
