  • through the worst we rise above

pain is what we blossom from—

Lance had a fear of being trapped. He never used to have it, but after the haunted castle incident it was his number one phobia. Lance hated the airlocks the most, and even walking past them caused him to freeze up and have a small flash back yo when he almost died. But no biggie you know. So when Pidge asked for his help down there he was apprehensive at first, but still went with them.

It was okay enough, until the little midget shoved him into an Airlock and closed it on him. Immediately Lance panicked and began banging on the door, screaming to be let out. He couldn’t be in here. Keith wasn’t going to magically show up and save him again. He was going to die here. Coran or someone would accidentally push a button, all ghe airlocks would open, and he’d die in the cold expanse of space lightyears from home. Eventually Lance just couldn’t scream anymore. He just whimpered and slid down the door before curling in on himself. Was he crying? Why yes he was. The Blue palladin did nothing to stop his tears as he rocked back and forth, tryong to calm down from what appeared to be an anxiety attack.

  • It was a mere coincidence that Keith happened to be passing. Keith was on his way to help Coran. Apparently, the castle could be altered to be even better. Keith wasnt particularly knowledgeable when it came to engineering and such, that was more of Pidges job, but he didn't mind helping out. Besides, how could he possibly say no? Anyways, Keith had almost passed the male. He happened to spot movement in the corner of his eye, in which he immediately turned around to investigate. However, he immediately relaxed when he realized it was Lance. Normally, Keith wouldn't have a problem leaving the male in there for a bit, call it playful banter. But from what he could tell, Lance was having a hard time in the airlock. He supposed it had something to do with his last incident in this particular airlock.

Sighing, the dark haired male walked over to the airlock. With an easy swipe of his hand, the airlock was soon open. Keith walked in, rather startled to see the males current state. Lance seemed to be freaking out. He crouched down, tilting his head to the side quizzically. "Hey....are you okay?" His words were quiet, hesitant, even. It was usually hard for Keith to show sympathy for others. But Lance genuinely looked terrified. Even if the male could be annoying as hell sometimes, he couldn't just let him stay like this. He was part of the team, after all.

  • 「 heaven if you sent us down — so we could build a playground 」

Suddenly the door was open. Lance looked up to see his savior, Keith. God he had never been so happy in his whole life to see that stupid mullet. Lance quickly uncurled and wiped his face off on the sleeve of his jacket, taking a few deep breath's to calm himself down. He was fine. The airlock was open, He was going to be all right.

"Not really? Heh. I'll be fine in a bit Mullet. Just recovering from an anxiety attack brought on by living one of my strongest phobias." He said, trying to make his voice sound like this was no sweat, but it was a bit rough and scratchy from having to endure approximately a half hour of screaming for someone. Heh... So maybe he wasn't all alright. He just needed to get away from here. That's right. So Lance got up and left the airlock, immediately feeling his chest loosen up.
