  • That is accurate yes.

Priam pouts behind the group, wanting attention but won’t say anything because it’s against his character. ‘I’m not supposed to care but I actually really do.’ ‘But don’t talk to me you’re all inferior peasants.’

  • Priam is not impressed by the leash but quietly says nothing by as he reads. His butler is standing besides him with a tray of tea.

P: Sahil I do not understand why I have to be put on a leash.. if anyone should it is you as you are the greater danger.

  • Ael looms above the group, watching everyone boredly as they are all tiny, susceptible fleshy things. Azraq is nearby, where he is avidly trying to get Mani's attention. Dane drinks all the liquor around them, and Rydia tries to take a selfie with Priam's butler.

Ay yo it's Friday i can finally post

Just got to get picked up from school first lol

  • Sahil: You forget, "little me", that I am a well read man, and this is all for the sake of situational irony. For those beyond the fourth wall. The individual I plan to please is my liege: the great Ivan Dark. *Looks at fourth wall and blows a kiss*

    Me: Aw shucks! *Blushes*

Armad: No, that's my job! I am Ivan Dark's favorite

Sahil: Not possible. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE! *Lightning strikes between them*

Jiro: Could I be his favorite?

    Armad and Sahil: NO!

    Jiro: *falls backward from shock*

    Aiken: *Shrugs* ... He's cool.

  • Naj: *cradles Jiro* its okay, I'm not the creators favorite either.

Mani: none of us on this thread are..

Nantale, smirking while surrounded by my highest tier character development: greetings

Flare, a character only Em will know, surrounded by four years of character development: You forget the original..

  • Me: *hugs all my characters because I love them*

    My dragons: *hum*

    My salty cats: Oi

My dinosaurs and villains and vigilantes and robots and witches and ghosts and normal humans: wot

Mani is Az's fav tho never forget ;3

Naati is...nobody's favorite. Except mine. I think. I have a collective group of favorites. I'm just sad I can't rp him rn. :c

Minnows would still like to lick Tale btw.

  • Priam is such a doll. A spooky doll, but a cute one. Also a silly one X3

    Silly Pri, hugs are good!

    Give him all the love

    all of it

I volunteer to help give this child a little love

I'm a very good member of the community I promise

Tbh I'm thinking of writing a little poem-ish thing or something for Rydia and Eclipse.

Which reminds me - it would be pretty cool if we could compile everything about the demons that's crucial to the rp, so we could have like an in-rp tome or smth about them and their history.

    I'm yammering again my apologies

  • Kor’angar, Priam’s tome, would make a good candidate. I did imagine it as a dark tome, and it would better connect him to the story - the Champions need the tome to seal off/kill the demons and will travel to Rhilissi to get it and possibly a divine weapon (as well as Eurus!).

I think it would make sense that Kor’angar would be Iion’s divine weapon, as Iion would chose magic rather than brute force, unless it’s the amulet. Actually I never specifically assigned the weapons to one god and thought the champion would chose it and the powers would shift depending on who is using them (what’s I mean by this is every cycle of Champions the weapons go to one Champion only, say the amulet is given to Iion’s Champion one cycle, but the next cycle Ohena’s Champion gets it, and the power would shift, since it was the sun and moon who created the weapons and the gods who originally wielded them until they passed them to the very first champions)

  • btw, Jiro used the spear/lance thing, and he was boss with it. 'nuff said. And, because his face was literally unable to be scary, he wore a mask like Genji's from Overwatch, though it didn't really glow. That being said, Jiro's eyes glow a deep blue when he uses his magic, so his face is masked, but the blue-eyed Archmage strikes terror into the demon's underlings.

Maybe make that a folklore thing: demons go after those with eyes that are not blue because those with blue eyes remind them of Archmage Jiro and they have developed an instinctive reflex to avoid such people.

  • That sounds cool! And it does connect Priam and Eurus a bit more. I'm excited for that trip to Rhilissi, now.

The fact the tome is a divine weapon makes sense too.

I like both those ideas, Ivan!

Though I imagine some would be scared of blue in general after meeting our group, considering Ael eats literally anything that looks crunchy and/or fleshy and makes some sort of noise when she squishes it. Including people. And she is v blue.

Hey, I was thinking, who is our group picking up next? Bc I don't mind if it's not Naati - I just want to know how much space I might have before I can start introducing him.

Also I imagine that any convo between Az or Naati and Priam would go quite horribly, btw. Just a sudden thought.

  • Yeeeeeeeeeeees I’m so ready for Armad! Which means it’s my turn to post woops I’ll get on that

Ooh the eyes thing sound cool. In fact, what Mys says gives me an idea:

    Themes of Demas

-Civilization v Nature (or Primative v Modern (at least modern in their case))

This one is pretty obvious with the demons v Champions/gods, especially in Ilc v Myv. It’ll be fun to see how the group reacts when they have to survive in the wilderness when they get there.

    -Black v White

I didn’t out right mention this one but it’s a weird s not obvious but the clashing colors are very important in Demas. Many of its people have darker skin (at least in Eniddia) but the demon emojis are pitch black bc of the darkness, and the ‘light’ isn’t specified to be white. White in fact hasn’t been shown too much but when it has it is mostly bad. The demons all have pure white eyes (at least in my imagination) and Myvillion, who I can say was a figure who was hated at one point in Demas legend, is also represented by the color white. I don’t know where I was going with this particular theme, but it’d be interesting to see the colors flip flopped so white isn’t good and black isn’t bad.

    And now -Blue v Red.

Stereotypical blue is good and red is bad, and in this story it isn’t much different. In lore I haven’t introduced (it’s all in the notes) Espar, Hallowwind, and Eniddia’s metals usually have a blueish tint to them, at least the armor and weapons, while many metals crafted in the Viae and Rhilissi are reddish in tint. E, H, and E are all the good or at least neutral kingdoms, while V and R are shown in a poorer light. I can see the demons being afraid of the color blue and gravitating to the color red. It may grow more common to see these colors clashing as the roleplay progresses.

Anyway can someone give me a quick reminder of the concepts for the divine weapons? I may have it bookmarked but I doubt it, apologize. I’m doing so much plotting for this (and now another) thread.

  • I'm so nervous because if Mani goes back to the Scholars Az will probably want to go back with him, but Aeluin is in pursuit of the demons so she won't leave so Az is basically like "okay who do I love more oh nO"

I'm super excited to see all these themes, Frenchie! They fit very well, and I love the comparisons and contrasts between each God/dess and their demon. The idea of reversing black and white is really quite interesting too.

Roses are red, and violets are blue, one day we'll cruise down the gulch avenue...

All I can be certain of is that Aeluin will continue to be a strong pillar of blue for everyone who requests or desires it. Besides, if she'd been with the last set of Champions, she would have done the same thing - support 'em till the end, whether the end be death or a demon breakfast.

I'm on mobile rn, but I can check and look for the page with the divine weapons in just a sec :3

  • 1. Sword- Scimitar-looking, magic enchanted edge(magic used is determined by the wielder's true nature/elemental alignment: once wielded by Armad; his element was fire. Sahil's is Darkness)

    2. Glaive/Spear - double sided weapons used in deadly spinning attacks and lunges (also works as a staff to channel magic: Once wielded by Jiro)

    3. Bow- A stringless bow that provides its own arrows magically(elemental arrows? once wielded by Ashe)

    4. Amulet- Newest addition to the weapons, so it is not exactly classified as an original, more like a minor artifact, though it holds Archmage Jiro's spirit inside(high magic due to Jiro within. Used to summon him to aid in battle, may also offer some energy magic manipulation as well)

    5. Katars-Dual weapons for stabby stabby(lightning magic? As they're used for quick flurries of attacks)

    6. Chakrams- Dual throwing weapons that reappear in the wielder's hands at will(energy probably, otherwise low magic)

    7. Tome- One of the most, if not the most, powerful weapon of the arsenal. Grants control over powerful occult magics such as seals, barriers, and some destructive spells as well

I'd say that since the amulet is "new" It was on Jiro's person before it actually became an artifact. Before then, maybe he just used it to increase his magic flow. In history, he chose not to wield the tome, even though it would give him even more immense power, mostly because that scared the Gods, as Jiro has a high affinity for magic for a human outright.
