It wasn't expected. Probably stupid of her considering the size of her belly and how ready it seemed to pop but... she just never thought it was really going to happen. The reality of what was growing inside her hadn't settled in. Despite the sickness's and the aches and the exhaustion.. she just couldn't comprehend the idea of having kids. Not even the thought of naming them appeared in her head nor did what they'd look like. It was as if she'd repressed the idea of them entirely up until it actually happened. She was training. A couple of daggers were sprawled out in the dirt by her paws. A redwood tree with many holes in its trunk stood tall before her. She picked up a tiny dagger, aimed, then threw. The dagger landed slightly off to the side which made her spit a curse, golden eyes narrowing. If that was an enemy, they'd still be moving straight for me. Littlestar thought grimly, picking up another dagger. She lifted her paw, balancing, and aimed with one eye closed. Then just as she was about to throw it, a wave of pain entered her body. It was like her muscles were seizing up and she closed her eyes, face scrunching up, dagger cluttering to the ground. Littlestar expected the 'cramp' to go away but it came back, again and again. It was growing, she realized, it was getting bigger with every passing moment. "W-woah, hey, not now." The Monarch whispered to the swollen belly as she realized what this was. Fear took over her and Littlestar wheezed, struggling to catch breath. Breathe, calm. You'll be fine. But she didn't feel fine. She felt scared. People were beginning to look. Trying not to cry out loud, the swollen female limped to somewhere secluded in the territory. This particular place was a hollowed out space underneath a bush. Almost like a cave but it was made out of vegetation and the grass was all mossy underneath. She'd been coming here since she was young and she supposed... she supposed she'd be giving birth in it too.

The crampings continued and for a while, she was just lying there, sobbing, feeling so scared and alone. I'm giving birth, she thought inhaling sharply, I'm giving birth right now. She was just a kid.. she felt like she was still a kid. Littlestar wanted to hold someone and have them hug her and tell her it was going to be okay. But she had no one. The tabby cried aloud then, a wave of pain passing through. Blinking hazily, the female rolled onto her side and pushed her muzzle into the ground, face scrunching up. "It's gonna be fine, sweetheart." "Dad?" "Yes, baby girl. I'm here for you. Just hold onto my paw and let me tell you something; you can do this. You're a Grimes. It's in your blood to endure and survive." "Dad." "What is it, sweetheart?" "I'm scared." "All brave girls are scared once in a while. It's what makes you brave. Being scared of something but still doing it." The image of the scarred up, metal legged tiger with the glowing blue eyes vanishes into thin air and Littlestar shakes as pain surpasses her shaken and small body. Her father said she could do it. She had to do it. There was no.. no escaping this. She had to face it head on.

The first kid to arrive on HawkClans soil was a silver male. He was a big little baby and even as she was panting, she watched the first wriggle on the soft mossy grass. Tears welled in her golden eyes. The little boy looked like a kitsune, like Luca. He did appear to have some feline features but he more so resembled his other parent. She could see tiny black claws on each of his paws. Littlestar extended a trembling limb and attempted to pull the baby closer to her. She felt disgusting, gross, exposed. But she looked at her kid and also felt something inexplicable- she made that. That was her kid. The tabby made no more movements to offer the kid love and comfort but she watched him, golden eyes soft despite the tears falling from them. A name popped into mind. The first- "Milestone." She breathed out. That wasn't so hard, was it? Littlestar closed her eyes and just imagined her father, giving her a big hug. I can do this.

The second was small, so small that Littlestar scarcely felt her at first. Even so, when she arrived, the tabby looked at her and felt amazement to see the glowing blue rings. Her base color was once again a grey but it looked very stormy, electric, full of energy. The blue rings around her body only added to that vibe. This kid was small, her little arms and legs thin, but Littlestar had a feeling she was going to be full of energy. The little pawpads of this kid were neon blue, as were various other parts of her. For a while she was just studying her quietly, the only sound being the rain against the little bush cave and the mewlings of the two children. Littlestar figured out a name and gently extended her paw, attempting to pick her up and put her alongside Milestone. "Technokit." Another little feature about this baby which she quickly picked up on was the little freckles she sported across her face. Technokit looked like the perfect mix of kitsune and feline compared to Milestone who looked mostly like a kitsune. She gave them both a quick lick, scared they were getting cold. How many do I have left?

The third was an altogether different coloring, resembling Luca more then a silvery grey storm. He was a chocolate brown, with long fluffy fur that made him look like a little pillow. His tail was also different, for she saw that he only had one compared to the others but it split into a fork at the end as if it were a snakes tongue or something. His fur was so pretty though and it looked as if chocolate was constantly pouring off of him. He looked more feline then kitsune but she recognized the slender limbs and rounded ears to be a kitsunes features. She pondered over a name for the little chocolate baby and although the idea 'Chocolatekit' did appear in her mind, she deemed it too predictable a name. "Liquorwhip." It was an odd name, she knew, but she thought it fitted the little guy perfectly. A sweet little thing tarnished by herself. She was going to try her damndest to raise these kids properly and nicely but she was scared. The tabby attempted to put Liquor besides Techno, giving him a small lick on his cheek.

The fourth kid- fuck, when is this going to end?- was the most painful so far. She gritted her teeth and panted until she succesfully pushed it out, golden eyes squeezed shut. This kid she immediately expected to be huge considering how painful he'd been but when she looked, he was still smaller then the first one. Her golden eyes roamed over his little body which was black as obsidian. All her kids seemed to be very different from one another and this one was no exception. He had pink markings which reminded her of Luca's pink eyes. Littlestar hadn't thought much about it before but she'd basically be seeing Luca every day with her kids. He'd always be present in them and that really sucked. Blinking away more tears, the feline leans over, aiming to pick him up and place him on the other side of Milestone. The more she looked, the more she saw; little details on her little creations. He had a very shaggy neck and back, almost like a mane. Littlestar tentatively poked his mane with the tip of her claw (which was unretractable) and then gave him a lick. She could also notice tiny little fangs poking over his bottom lip. "Nathanael.. that's your name." Littlestar informed the little kitsune-feline hybrid, leaning back into her comfortable position.

The fifth baby was the most interesting to look at. After she endured the painful pushing and muscle crampings, Littlestar blinked and stared at the vibrantly colored hybrid kid. Different colors; pink and grey and all different shades of those two colors splashed the kids body. Her belly was a light pink and she had a cute little black nose. The inside of her ears was very pink and fluffy. Perhaps the most noticable thing about the baby girl was her wings that appeared far too big for her fragile little body. They too were multi colored but less in a patchy way and they were pink too. She was a very lean baby and her muzzle was elongated more so then the others. She had already sorted out a name for the little girl. "Audrey. Perfect for you, I reckon." The Monarch whispered, to both the baby and herself. She reached and attempted pick up Audrey by her scruff and place her besides Nathanael, stub tail twitching. Was it over? She wasn't sure. Littlestar felt her stomach swelling uncomfortably. She realized that something felt really, really off. The tabby panted and her claws tightened into the grass, ignoring the squeals of her newly borns.

Then it happens. The sixth arrives. But it is by no means a real kid, it can't be. No child would look like.. like that. She stares at the disfigured lump that has exited her. It's smoking, she realizes. Smoke is wafting off whatever it is. It's body is burnt so badly she can't make out much but she recognizes two tails and wings. The feline wants to stand up but the birthing has drained her. But she feels like screaming. Littlestar reaches out to the baby- whatever it is- and touches it, finally screaming when she realizes what it is. That's my baby and it's dead. It's burnt. She knows why. It's my fault. The Leader begins to cry for real then and tears her wide golden eyes away from the little carcass. "Help me, please, somebody.. anybody." She killed her kid. She did that. That was on her. What would normally be every mothers best day of their entire life become among one of her worst. She was afraid, she was shaken and she had kids wriggling at her belly. Little kids. How did they survive? She was glad and it was weird because she never wanted these babies but now she had them and she didn't want them dead. Littlestar lowered her scarred muzzle into the pile of her children and whispered to them, voice soft but shaky. "I don't want you guys dead. I don't... I will pro- protect you all no matter what. That's a promise." No longer did her eyes glow a burning golden and no smoke rolled off of her form. It seemed the constant rage wasn't alive as much as it had been before this.

  • Dont go and help her, stay here. She doesn’t want you there. Thoughts would race past his head as he watched Littlestar run away from the training grounds and leave everyone in curiosity. It seemed like something was wrong with her, and as a kind boy like himself he desperately wanted to run to her side and help. But, if something was wrong with her wouldn’t she just call out on the battlefield we’re everybody is? Instead of running off. Although he didn’t do anything for minutes on end, his worries getting to him. She was pregnant after all. Although once hearing a dim voice of help, he moved faster then anybody and skidded to a stop when seeing Littlestar. It wasn’t the best sight to see, actually is was gross. By his leaders belly was five bundles of fur. Littlestar seemed helpless and in pain. Then he realize, she gave birth. "Oh Littlestar! You did it all alone! Your so strong, looo those are your children!" he tried not to focus on what the children actually looked like, with fear of throwing up. Although his eyes caught a small creature that was no with the rest. Like it was unwanted and thrown away, and wasn’t getting the warmth it needed to survive. His paw lightly touched it and carefully flipped the unmoving mass over. It was hard to make out any features on this pup, but he didn’t think that would be wrong as he has never seen newly borns yet. Although this pups face looked burnt and a truly bad injury left its place. A life killing injury for a kitten like this. Oh no no no. It’s dead. It’s dead. It’s dead. I just congratulated Littlestar and it’s dead. Anybody could feel the blame of a dead kitten, he felt guilty even though he knew it wasn’t his fault. He knew it wasn’t anybody’s fault really, just how the baby was born. Maybe if I came here faster though, it’s dwad. It’s dead. Tears welled up in his eyes, from joy or sadness he didn’t know. “Lit....Littlestar. Don’t- n-n-no. It—it’s d-dea

  • Sometimes, sometimes it had been steaming hot, sometimes unbearably hot but it had been something the baby had grown accustomed to. Something she understood as natural. There was always a consistent thing in her life and was either warm or unbearable heat that made her recess almost into the depths of her developing mind. It hurt, pain was something she had always experienced in this place but whether she would remember it was yet to be seen. For most of her thoughts came and went within a blink of an eye, never staying on one thing for too long. But alas such things wouldn't stay the stay for too long and her concept of time was well tarnished anyway when things started moving. Shifting limbs and bodies that pressed against each other, then space, a lot of space before she was tumbling out. A strange feeling hit her, waves of cold that had not been before which shocked the little kit into silence. At first she was quite trying to process what was exactly going on and why she was feeling this new thing. This new thing shouldn't exist because it wasn't a constant in her life but here it was shaking her world. But then she started to cry out, scream really, for something to make it go away. A murmuring voice gave her pause to cease such strange vocal sounds from leaving her throat followed by shifting and moving, drooping ears trying to hear but the sounds were so muffled and she was so disorientated that she just continued screaming. Maybe it was the small sliver of pain she felt from the small burns that raced across her body, swallowed up by her thick fur, but the child was hard pressed to quiet down, even when nestled against her brother she wiggled and kicked, rolling over many times as she buried herself in her mother's fur.

But slowly she quieted down as more and more of her siblings were brought into the world and bundled up around her. Her tails were lengthy though hardly moved for the moment and she gave a soft sigh, a whisper of a breath as she laid her head on one of her siblings back. Trying to listen to what was going on. Things seemed strange, tense as if a string had been pulled much too tight before the muffled murmuring voice came again and though she didn't understand there was a sense of peace from the words, a sense of safety that made her small paws reach up to touch the muzzle that was so close before sh grew tired and settled down once more, falling asleep from everything that she had to go through today. Even the sudden other voice didn't rouse her from her sudden nap.

  • she is confused. for once the baby isn't hot, suffocating in an unbearable heat that bores bloody holes into her frame and singes her short multi color fur. instead she is... pleasantly cool, relishing a soft breeze that wafts over her trembling frame, easing the pain that radiates through her body. it is a strange sensation, but a nice one that the child greatly appreciates. the tiny femme had been so sure that she would have never escaped that heat... but she did! she is free! the child would have smiled and cheered if she knew how to, but instead she simply allowed herself to relax, stretching her tiny limbs and awkwardly opening her wings that appeared haphazardly attached to her body. after a few seconds of squirming and stretching she finally perked her tiny ears and allowed strange sounds to flood them, one sound in particular standing out to her. it comes from somewhere above her and is soft and kind, "audrey. perfect for you, i reckon." the child likes it and wants to hear more, but before she can the girl is disturbed by a... something, and is lifted off the ground.

the feeling of peace and cool air that the girl was relishing was suddenly gone, destroyed as she was placed somewhere new next to other small, trembling beings that the girl vaguely recognized. she doesn't like this at all. the breeze is no longer blanketing her aching body and she can't hear the sweet voice anymore; instead now there are other bodies around her, pressing against the scabs that litter her coat and uncomfortably pinning her large, bony wings against her sore body. the voice is gone too, replaced by a screech of strange noises that the child quickly decides to mimic. she wails along with the voice, tipping her tiny head back and crying out, her eyes still squeezed shut and ears now pinned back against her skull as she opens her mouth wide and emits piercing noises. she does not want to be here, but the girl is unable to escape. she is too tightly wedged between other bodies and her muscles are still too weak to help her stand. and so the child simply continues her wailing in hopes that the... furry thing that picked her up might come back and help her.

  • TAGS — Brokenjaw had been worried for weeks now with his leader's status, he did not begrudge or judge her for what decisions led up to such an outcome - he never would, after all, she was fearless leader! and the allosaurus owed her his loyalty and his friendship.

strange how such a small thing as a crooked jaw they each had, had turned into such a strange friendship but the allosaurus did not care - he wasn't the judging type either way, he did prefer to try and see the best in everyone - but they all had snapping points, bloodclan's recent antics left him cold toward that clan after all.

hearing the commotion brought him over, as he was passing by the various areas people used for training after coming back from his daily patrols, the voice of his leader and then soft mewling thus followed by ravelights - he knew what had happened before he'd chanced upon them.

so here he came now, trying to keep his thudding footfalls quiet so as not to disturb the small newborns, until he was hovering over the group, a shadow cast upon them.

he lent down to softly nudge his leader - a reassurance from the big allo and all he could manage to give without further disturbing the small children, there was a sad glint to his eyes as he noticed the stillborn, a soft croon vocalised.

Fearless leader was so brave to have done this alone, he was proud for his leader and friend - saddened by the loss of one but here were the living ones and they had survived.

his eyes glanced over each kit, memorising them.

he would protect them, he would see them safe - them and fearless leader.

    Broken rn:

I've only known them for a day but if anything ever happened to them I would kill everyone and then myself.

  • LESSA REN SOLO

hawkclan shaman & riverclan doctor | info | played by misty

Lessa had been keeping an eye on Lit. She had always done as much, but more so these days. She had watched her grow plumper, watched and waited anxiously. She knew the kits were due any day now. So when a commotion reached her ears, Lessa had not an ounce of wonder or confusion on her face. She had been expecting this day for a while now. She wished Lit had gone to her, so she could make sure things went smoothly, but from what she saw trotting over, she was alive... As were the little kittens... Save one. Oh. The petite pine marten took in a quiet breath, padding past her clanmates and to her leader's side.

She didn't think she and Lit would be good friends again for some time. No. They were too different. Lit was too harsh sometimes, too violent... Ever since the anti-clan status, Lessa had been growing father and farther away. She could not take watching her clan, her friends, the clanmates she called family, so willing to go against what they used to believe in. But she could be there for them. She always would be, no matter her heart. She would still be there to help, to offer her company.

Coagulations were in order, yet Lessa uttered none. Not when there was a lifeless child to mourn. "'m here Lit," she murmured. No apologies, what was the use in saying 'I'm sorry' here? It didn't bring the dead back to life. No, the best she could do was be present, to do her best to be a comfort of some kind.

  • The child understood very little about his surroundings. He knew that sometimes there was pain, a flash of heat that caused him to curl even tighter against the others around him. It was such a horrifying power that seemed only to sap his own strength, or what little he had to begin with.

By the time he was out into the world, it felt nearly freezing compared to his previous home. His paws stretched helplessly in front of him in wild uncertainty. Everything was so strange, so scary in its different aura. But as soon as he heard his first sound, his mother's soft call of Liquorwhip, a wave of calm overtook the kit. A pitiful squeak fell from his lips as he was ushered closer to his mother's warmth, just warm enough to take off the edge of the cold air.

He was a kit built of nervous fear even in his inability to understand more than the familiar forms around him providing some sense of safety. He couldn't understand that one of his siblings lay just steps away in molten decay, nor could he connect the reason for his mother's sudden shift in emotion. With her cries, Liquorkit let out another mewl as if in sympathy for her pain. His own voice was so small compared to hers, but it was filled with a mirrored heartbreak, already learning to feel from others. Already learning to take on their sadness as his own.

Dimitri didn't liked childbirth's everytime he thought about it the same image always returned back into his head. Even after all this years it still dared to come back and haunt him. So he had keept himself away pretending to not know what was going on although the smell of blood was so fresh in the air. Are you worried you will kill them too?.

Catherine had seated herself on a branch as her blue distant eyes glared down at him as he himself had placed himself under a tree to eat some candy that not helpt at all with his starvation. He was losing weight, feeling himself getting weaker in this body. Outside of it he couldn't feel hunger but swifting back and out was a to much trouble not really feeling it much either only that he was more tired then usual and lacked the same energi he usual had. Not to mention got restless over the smell of blood, frustrated even like having food right in front of your nose you not even could touch.

Catherine words would release a snart from the shiba inu though, ears twitched themself backwards not much in the mood to listen to anything she had to say this days. He often decided to ignore her but her words was a bit unsettling. " She sounds to be in pain, maybe all of them are dead?. It will be your fault then after all you are the mistfortune. Inu grapt a chocolate and put it inside of his mouth and turned his head around to the angel and sticked his tounge out at her like a childish annoyence before simple standing up to walk away from her with head hold a bit lower then usual as eyes was fixed down at the ground.

    "Help me, please, somebody.. anybody."

The words.... Something, something was off. He remembered them, or image that had been what Catherine had tried to say that day. If only he had been at time he could have saved them - both of them. The paws moved themself on thier own and as he appeared up to the place Littlestar had given birth on had got the air stuck up inside of the throat. It was difficult to breathe - why was it difficult to breath?. The eyes fallen instantly down at the cubs and saw all of them were alive and for a moment he felt the chest lessen up but then - then he saw it. The burned body, the lifeless corpse of a child how had died before getting to see the day light. You killed it, Liam this is all your fault.

Trauma. The world spinned around and vision got a bit blurry not knowing for how long but for a brief moment he simple stood there while the rest shared words with Littlestar. " Förlåt, förlåt. " he mumbled to himself in a bare whisper,

    Snap out from it.

Blinking his eyes the world come back to him again. Facing the reality of this situation and not the trauma from his past he wished he could forget all about. A soft smile would then appear on the shiba inu lips, putting back on the mask and the previous emotions like blown away. " Lii-chan..." he called out her name before approaching and would slide down to lay beside her but on the side there the cubs wasn't laying to respect the private space between her and this new born lives. " I'm here. " He said as he tried to comfort her lose from the one child how hadn't made it, the rest though?. " Ya d-did good Lii-chan. Ya got f-five lovely kids. "

        i swear i lived

Poe had sort of taken to following either Broken or Lessa around, the two being a calming presence. That was how he came across Littlestar, after following the two to where the leader lay, weak and panting, surrounded by five kittens. Poe had known she was pregnant, but didn't know by whom. The sight of the small babies- save one- wriggling about made him gasp a little. New life. Littlestar's kids. Honestly, they were probably going to be a handful. But they would definitely be loved.

His eyes briefly landed on the dead kit and he closed his eyes in respect. Then he opened them again and smiled at the sight of the others, and of his leader. She was so strong. Although he couldn't say anything, he hoped his smile could tell her that. The pilot took a step off to the side to let more important people have space, but he remained nearby.

  • Hestia Leonidas-Cipher --

    all the pain and suffering.

She knew what the sound was. She knew hat it was time. She knew that they were here and she needed to go to them. She would father them. She would help raise them. So, she forced herself into the body of a kitsune. Grunting with the effort of taking a form she had only used once before. She would then slip out. Walking for once and come to the den.

There, she would slip past the others and to Lit. "They are lovely. Beautiful and strong, like their mother. I promise I will help you." They will have a good father. Even if they are not mine by blood, I will father them. She thought softly, hoping her telepathic message was sent to Lit.

  • Extreme temperatures. Hot to cold. It was refreshing at first, the brisk autumn air on his slick pelt, however it didn't take long for the newborn to miss the heat. It was familiar and comforting after all despite the fact that his little paws were mildly burnt. His hearing was foggy but he managed to pick up sounds, words, his mother speaking to him. His name? He didn't register it, the silver catsune was too young for that concept. All he knew of was hunger.

Feeling a gentle paw pull him closer towards the soft warmth of his mother's exterior body, not as heated as the womb, the child would let out a slight odd and gruff sounding growl. It wasn't a normal sound that kittens made, and in due time, it would be very evident that his father's demon nature ran true through his blood stream. Anyhow, the oldest of the five was blissfully ignorant to the world, unaware that the sixth sibling did not make it. For now, it was good new for him, his mother's belly would not be crowded, and the silver colored youngster would find out shortly enough as he wriggled against Littlestar, searching for sustenance. But in hindsight, it was totally fucked. But of course, he was young, he was ignorant. Perhaps it should stay that way.

  • Wails. of distress? wonder couldn't be sure. something smelled faintly burnt. was there a fire? the wails stopped, and as he got closer, tiny, but high pitched squeals were heard. the kid was confused, following sounds and smells, feeling dizzy and lost in the tight knit trees that towered and circled him, threatening to fall on him, to suffocate him. he moved forward, now recognizing a voice of the one that greeted him into this place. littlestar? was something wrong?

as the only person he knew so far, that didn't make him nervous, he cautiously approached, tilting his head at the sight. five little balls of fluff that all apeared different was squirming around and pushing at the femmes body, emitting loud sounds. he stayed back, his buttery eyes watching from a distance. there were a lot of people gathered around the femme. he didn't recognize a soul. curiosity rose though, and eventually, he pushed back his nausea, and moved forward more, trying to figure out what had happened. the birds gentle gaze rested foronly a second on the kitten that seemed to be charred, pushed away, before turning back to littlestar and the five babies at her stomach. he never seen something like this before. maybe they were her children. but where were the eggs? "what happened? did you find them?" he asked, his voice sounding soft, but worried.

  • ARIZONA;;

The white feline didn't make her way over till she heard that one of the kits had died, then she had to go over. She made her way through the small crowd till she was close to the leader. Her brown eyes looked at the brunt kit before looking at the living ones, how did it get brunt so badly? Arizona knew better than to actually ask that, so she moved away for those who were more close to her to get near Littlestar. Her heart ached for the dead child, knowing that Lit was probably feeling a thousand times worse. But life was like this and she would make sure that Littlestar took good care of those kids. ""

  • waste time with a masterpiece

Life. What a wonderful mystery. How a jumble of cells became something as complicated as a being such as him--what a marvel. No such thoughts ran through the child's mind at the moment. Nathanael, he was named, though he had no understandings of the sounds that came through his ears. Hushed whispers died into the background as he shifted slightly, trying to find a spot against the warmth of his siblings. Hunger primeval instinctively pushed him towards the belly of mother, seeking milk. All he cared about was not his life, his new situation, or the dead child next to him, but the idea of sating his hunger.

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ The small shaking tabby didn't even know Ravelights had come in, staring at her wriggling mass of children as they squealed and pushed and curled up and did everything newborns did. That's when she sees it- the burns. The scabs. They cover her childrens bodies. Eyes shot wide with horror and she doesn't hear Ravelights over the panicking in her mind, doesn't even know Brokenjaw has come in. The allosaurus nudged her and she finally looked up, tears streaming down her face. "I hurt my kids, Broken. Look at them." Her paw jabbed at the scars that layered their tiny, frail bodies. Her face fell down and she lowered her head slowly. One of her children, Liquor, was crying out alongside her. A small detail but it was enough to quieten herself as she gently licked the little guys forehead. Lessa's appearance was more then comforting which was odd considering all the tension as of late, but she was glad to see her. "Lessa, they're all burnt. What do I do? What did I do?!" You know exactly what you did. You got mad and you exploded and in the process, you killed one of your kids and you injured the rest. Like I said; you always fucking ruin everything. Even your own kids. They're not safe with you. You're just going to hurt them, you're going to ruin them some way.

Inu's presence behind her comforted her somewhat, turning her watery golden eyes to him. Five lovely kids. She looked down at them and breathed out shakily. Five lovely kids I have to mother. She closed her eyes and when she reopened them, Poe was smiling at her and the children. She couldn't muster a smile to give back but she dipped her head somewhat, ears lying flat atop her head. Hestia was also offering verbal support to which Littlestar blinked but it was the telepathic message that caught her off guard. She didn't know how to respond but she couldn't let Hestia do that. These kids? They were her responsibility. She wasn't about to dump that onto someone elses shoulders just because they thought it their responsibility. She shook her head, eyes sad. Can't let you do that, Hestia. I don't want to do that to you."what happened? did you find them?" Even the hypogriffs innocence couldn't lighten her. She just shrugged, not quite answering the question, eyes focused on those burns that flecked their soft skin. At least they were still moving, right? At least they were alive, save for one. But she didn't want to think of that one. Her eyes refused to look at it. Her tired eyes caught Arizona looking and she again nodded but her face was numb. All I can do is.. care for them. Look after them. They're mine.
