    Wolfstride x Troutsnap


    BACKSTORY

    Cats fall in love all the time. They have kits together, they grow old, and they die together. They have a happy life.

    This story is different. This is the story of Troutsnap and Wolfstride, a pair that would have been better of never being together in the first place.

    Wolfstride had been a warrior for several moons by the time he was appointed his first apprentice. He had always been an ill-tempered cat, with an aggressive nature to anyone who opposed him. But he was good at fighting and serving the clan, even if he had hidden motives in his free time. Many observers of the tom thought it would be wise to appoint Troutsnap as his apprentice. She could learn his skills as a warrior but also teach him something he lacked - her kind and nurturing nature. Troutsnap had always been respectful and kind to others, even when neglected by others through her timid and gullible nature. At first, Wolfstride felt like Troutsnap was a nuisance, an addition to his daily activities that distracted him from what he really wanted to do. But she grew on him. This led to Wolfstride having a soft spot only for her. Wolfstride's normally abrasive and harsh behavior towards others was mysteriously wiped away when he spent time with Troutpaw - and shortly after she was named a warrior, he confessed his love for her. It wasn't long before the pair were mates, and the young she-cat was expecting his kits. However, Wolfstride had many secrets he hid from Troutsnap through manipulation and control in her presence. After Troutsnap fell pregnant, Wolfstride's personality became malicious and abrasive - even towards Troutsnap. He started spending more time away from everyone, even her. When Troutsnap questioned his change in personality, Wolfstride snapped at her and the pair fell into a nasty exchange of tongues. Wolfstride mysteriously disappeared. There was no trace of him but for a few hairs by the river. Patrols searched and searched for Wolfstride, but when no signs of him were found, Troutsnap left Thunderclan and went out to search for him by herself. She looked for weeks, barely scraping by on what food and water should could find. She ended up exhausted on Windclan territory, where Ironclaw, Rowanflower, Jasperstar, and Birdkit escorted her to Windclan camp. She's now in the care of Bumblefoot, the Windclan medicine cat, waiting to for her kits to be born.


    PLOT

    These kittens will be loved and cared for very deeply by Troutsnap and many other cats in Windclan. They will grow up in a happy setting despite not having a father. However, depending on the sequence of events, it is possible that they will have a father figure someday - but not Wolfstride. Troutsnap will exile him herself if he tries to come around her family. I do have a secret, hidden plot for this family, but to keep it fun for other members of the family it will be a secret. All I can say is that it will happen when the kits are close to adulthood.


    RELATIONS

    Troutsnap - Windclan Queen (Previously Thunderclan warrior/queen)

    Wolfstride - Shadowclan Warrior (previously Thunderclan warrior, currently NPC.)

    RULES

    - Do not kill the kitten without my permission if they haven't been a warrior for at least 6 months. if you no longer want to roleplay them, return them to me and they will be rehomed out to a new roleplayer.

    - The kit must stay in Windclan unless I approve of otherwise.

    - If you are inactive with the kit for more than two weeks, I will message you and if I do not receive a response within a week, the kitten will be rehomed.

    - All rules of traditional roleplay apply. Please make sure to follow them so yourself and others don't get in trouble!

    - This is not first come first serve. Everyone will have an equal shot at getting a kit!

    - The date I announce the winners will be on the 31st.

    GENETICS

    blue ticked tabby x cinnamon w/ white tabby

    Toms can be black, cinnamon, blue, or fawn.

    Mollies can be black, cinnamon, blue, or fawn.

    Ticked tabby is the dominant pattern.

    Can have less than 50% white on their bodies, kits with white can have any realistic eye color including blue where as kits without white can have any realistic eye color except blue.

    1. Salmonkit(scale) - male - open

    - Preferred to be cinnamon tabby

    2. Waspkit(strike) - male - open

    - Named after bumblefoot

    - Preferred to be fawn tabby or black

    3. Wavekit(crest) - female - wolfsnarls

    - Named after the rainy weather trousnap was rescued in

    - Is the largest kit in the litter.

    4. Minnowkit(splash) - female - open

    - Named after a fish, just like troutsnap

    - Preferrably smaller in size &a blue / blue tabby or brown tabby


    *Names suggested are preferred, but if you have one you'd like to use instead you may ask! i'd prefer there be a reason behind why troutsnap would name her kit that, though<3

    Name: Waspkit(strike)


    Gender and sex: Male


    Appearance:

    A sweet looking fawn tabby, beautiful emerald green eyes. He is usually plump, and he never starves. His fur is soft as silk, so it always shines.


    Personality:

    There's more than meets the eye in the life of Waspkit, but two things you'll never forget are that he's kind-hearted and dedicated. Of course he's also respectful, selfless, and popular, but those are often overseen by times of being very tactless as well. His kindness though, this is what he's pretty much known for. Friends seem to count on his surprising nature especially when they need comforting or support. Nobody's perfect of course, and Waspkit has a fair share of lesser days too. His ego ruining pleasant moods and beyond. Fortunately his dedication is usually there to soften the blows.

    The soft and plump kit padded out of the nursery to see his siblings playing a game like usual. "Hey Waspkit!" Minnowkit would mew, "Why don't you play with us?" The look on her face, was very happy as she had a goofy grin on her face. "Sure thing Minnowkit, I just need a second, I just woke up!" He shook his head afterwards, being unnaturally dizzy for some odd reason that he couldn't point out. He then would wobble to his siblings, "Ready! Who's going to be the mouse this time?" Then Minnowkit would reply excitedly, "It's me, Salmonkit will never let me be the mouse." He then twisted his head in confusion, she then spoke in a whisper, "He says I'm too small." He then shook his head, thinking that it was her life and that she can choose her choice. But that was just his thoughts. "Okay, get ready sister! Cause I'm counting to a few seconds, and after, I'm going to catch you!"


    Name: Minnowkit

    Gender: Male


    Appearance: Minnow is a nearly pure blue kit, the color of slate stone under the light of a cloudy day. The only portion of his coat which mars this image is his front left paw which is a pure white, appearing as though he merely dipped it in paint. His eyes are a pale green, often dull in exhaustion from his nights spent staying up late. He is the smallest of his litter with a build clearly meant for running more so than fighting. He is clearly made for quick sprints and not endurance.


    Personality: Minnow is a dreamer through and through. He sees the good in everyone and everything, always looking to the positive side of life and always hoping for the most. This can lead to some harsh realities as he grows, but at least in his kittenhood he holds a genuine belief in the best things always happening. This also causes a slight obsession with the moon and stars, as he thinks of them as beautiful and perfect depictions of happiness. He often stays up late just watching them, trying to remember where each star in the sky is.


    Plot Plans:

    -As a kit he often tries to sneak out of camp at night to watch the stars from the open plains of WindClan.

    -Because he tries to see the good in everyone, as an apprentice he befriends a cat from another clan.

    -He falls in love with a cat from another clan. Just when he is trying to decide whether or not to leave to be with his love, one of his own clanmates is killed in a skirmish with said clan (or something equally upsetting takes place). He suddenly becomes distant and cynical, a repetition of what his father did to his mother.


    Roleplay Sample/Level: Semi-advanced, advanced when I'm super museful

    It was night again. A tiny blue kit, one who looked far younger than he truly was thanks to his size, poked his head from the nursery to look up at the dark sky. It was a new moon, the camp lit only by soft starlight. One of the best nights to see the stars themselves for what they were unobscured by the shine of the moon. Minnowkit's eyes, normally quite pale and insignificant, seemed to shine under the reflection of night's faded lights.

    "Mama, look at the stars." His voice was a whisper that fell through the night air in hushed breaths. His own amazement at the sight before him overcame his words. But the moment of stillness was pierced as his mother ushered him back into the cover of the den, some scolding about needing sleep on her lips. Minnowkit stretched his neck as he was pulled back in to prolong his view of the night sky, burning it into his mind just before the last of his vision was covered by the dark of the nursery's roof and storing the memory behind his eyelids just before he allowed himself to curl up in quiet sleep.

Her eyes are the rich gold of freshly-found honey, and her nose is soft and black, like fine leather. Her pelt itself is reminiscent of a moonless night, and she has a tiny spot of white on her chest like a single star. Her fur is medium-length, and her tail is long and feathery.

    NAME : Waspkit -> Wasppaw -> Waspstrike


    APPEARANCE : black cat w/ bright yellow eyes

    Unlike his father or mother, even any of his siblings: Wasp has the coat of an black stallion. His coat is always going to be steadily cleansed of filth and always finely groomed, he believes how everyone interacts with you on first note- will give them an note of your lifestyle. The lower top of Wasp's coat is a rich and luxurious obsidian, it keeps it's hold til til you reach the male's face. At the tuft of the male's fur, it fades slightly from the rich obsidian hue into a lighter shade of black. The optics of the male, definitely signature to his name: Waspkit. His eyes are a bright yellow, much resembling the yellow of an yellow-jacket wasp's body or even a Meyer Lemon. Though the maintenance of the yellow, if we taker closer look at his optics; the vibrant yellow has shades of a slight dark, brownish toned yellow (like the wings of a yellow-jacket wasp) and of a very faint orange tone & a yellow. Altogether- though this thought seems quite disgusting if you mix them; somehow had managed to create such a beautiful color just for Wasp. Wasp's structure is much that of a smaller domestic feline's template. Though despite his smaller frame and small cranium, he will eventually end up to grow up just slightly bigger than the average masculine feline.


    PERSONALITY : curious, determined, compassionate & confident

    Wasp is quite the strange man: he finds interests in everything and wants to know about all of them. With curiosity so strong, it makes him quite the intelligent kid. An example such as finding flowers: he wants to know why bees "feast" on them, why do they have nectar and just a series of question that will soothe the mind of the child. Due to his very curious nature, it will make it quite obnoxious for some clan-mates because he will constantly ask questions when he does not know something about an object or person. The male will constantly strive for reaching his achievements; always putting in full effort and focus in one task if he wants to do so. Because he will seem weird to most clan members, he is actually quite the organized and efficient male. Wasp can easily can tell when one's mood is slightly off, either sensing if they are angry, sad & much more: if they are sad he will attempt to cheer them up, by doing funny tricks or even bringing them flowers or altogether listening to their problems and giving his own advice. As a curious and compassionate figure: the male finds no enemies and does not understand the concept of the different clans having conflict- which will one day lead to a bad event.

    PLOTS :

    (a) wasp at a young age, due to his curious nature and his supreme interests in herbs and every other object: while bumble is out of the medical den- he finds death berries and attempts to eat one to taste it after asking a series of questions about berries in his mind. he will be stopped by either bumble, trout or a medicine cat apprentice.

    (b) in apprenticeship, the young man will leave the territory unintentionally and encounter a different clan's member and gets in a fight- leaving his blinded in one eye by getting eye scratched deeply.
